Pros: As a professional musician, flying with my viola is one of the most nerve wracking experiences, as if it is forced to be checked due to insufficient room for overhead baggage, it could be completely destroyed. As stated in Air Canada's online policy, passengers traveling with musical instruments that fit as carry on baggage are allowed to change to earlier boarding zones. After approaching a staff member with my viola, I wasn't simply assigned an earlier zone, but rather I was allowed to board first. On this principle alone I will be flying Air Canada again. Thank you!!!

Pros: Friendly, attentive staff. Good service. My toddler, husband and I boarded first because of our child, so we had plenty of time to get comfy on the plane. The flight attendants served sufficient drinks and snacks for the 1 hour flight.

Cons: Flight was delayed two hours so my toddler and I had significantly longer to wait, which is not too fun. However, I understand this is unavoidable sometimes.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Every part of the experience was horrible from the lady who checked us in to the flight being cancelled after we were are the airport waiting for delayed flight. Horrible experience

Pros: The crew on the flights was great over all but everyone else that we encountered seemed confused, rude, and/or uninterested in helping anyone.

Cons: Multiple times on the trip we were told one thing only to be told the complete opposite by someone else a short time later. No two teams seemed to have any clue what the other was doing and there seemed to be no overarching strategy or systems in place company wide. We have flown with a baby many times on my airlines and this time was by far the worst- they do not seem like a family friendly airline at all.

Pros: Easy to change flight same day to one flight earlier.

Cons: Forced me to check in my (undersized) duffel bag carry on. Then forgot To load the bag onto the plane. WestJet cited a questionable and unlikely reason, that the bag was not loaded due to baggage to passenger weight ratio for safety reasons, even though flight was far from full with multiple empty rows. Plus there was a grand total of only approximately 12 pieces of baggage at the carousel. Also the plane’s auxiliary power generator was broken, which meant no a/c while on the tarmac before and after takeoff. Cabin was warm though not intolerable, however led to delays at both origin and destination airport due to having to wait for an external power supply truck. No in flight service due to supposed turbulence. Which would have been fine, except there really wasn’t much turbulence. Didn’t affect me, but my neighbor’s entertainment system was broken. However, these multiple issues and the broken power generator makes me wonder about what other maintenance issues have been overlooked or not addressed. Most of all I was offended by the clear lack of honesty about my baggage. If there really was a weight limit safety issue despite the plane being far from maximum capacity, then there are much bigger issues with the plane that makes me never want to fly WestJet again. But don’t insult your passengers by lying to cover up your carelessness. My baggage arrived on the following (my original) flight, but that which was delayed by nearly two hours. I’ve flown on United, Delta, Southwest, JetBlue, WowAir, AA, Alaskan, Virgin, American Airlines, United Airways, China Air, EVA, and Air Canada. So far, WestJet has been by far my worst experience.

LGA
YYZ
Good 6.0

Pros: Super fast. All on time.

Cons: I didn't like in a middle seat and being told that in order to move to an aisle seat I would have to pay $13.50. Normally with Westjet it was always free to change seats at Check in. It's frustrating when things change and you only find out at the time of check in rather than at time of booking.

Cons: We were told our flight was delayed due to weather, and then due to mechanics. The weather was fine in both new york and toronto those days, and other toronto flights left on time. we ended up being delayed 6 hours in the airport, and other flights still went out ahead of us. furthermore, because our flight was delayed, they didn't seem to prepare for the new departure time, and we were held up for almost an hour on the runway before being able to take off, and almost 30 minutes on the runway once we landed too. better planning and customer service needs to be required in these situations.

Cons: Stewardess seems very annoyed with flight. There was turbulence so the passengers needed to stay seated - a gentleman next to me asked for a glass of water since there was no refreshment service - the stewardess was very short with him. Pros: Well located at LGA (NYC) with it own section of gate doors that is just Air Canada. Multiple flights leaving where EXTREMELY delayed, the staff put on their thinking caps, they started putting people on standby so most customers leave on an earlier flight! I was located in an extra room chair (free) due to this adjustment of delayed flights and was a great experience.

Cons: It’s the usual BS that you get at airports....TSA is always insane but honestly it was better than I thought l.

Pros: That we arrived, finally, safely and our bags did too.

Cons: The kiosk at checking was unable to process our boarding pass so we had to wait in line to see an agent to check in and take our bags. There were 3 lines, but people who arrived after us were taken care of before us. It was not organized. Our flight was delayed and the waiting area at Laguardia was so crowded. I fly Air Canada as seldom as possible because there's almost always something that complicates the trip. Our daughter booked these flights so we could visit her for Mothers Day.

Prices are per person and are for e–tickets and include all taxes & fees in USD.

We attempt to get accurate prices, however, prices are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.

If you have more questions or if you have a bad price to report to us,
please send us an and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.
