The terminal was dirty, crowded, and everything was shutting down even though people we still looking for food, beverages, Etc (so passengers make sure you are fed / prepared if you’re flying late out of Newark). After placing several calls prior to my departure date to confirm that my 40 inch TV was ok for transportation , it wasn't until I got to the airport to find out that I was unable to take the TV or the TV stand.. I live in Philadelphia and had nowhere to leave it causing me to give it to a stranger in order to make my flight . I am very distraught that the information indicating there was an embargo restricting the transportatione of TV greater 32 inches or boxes to Montego Bay was not given during any of those calls.. I don't understand why that information was not sent in an email prior.. On top of that I placed a call to customs in Montego Bay and was adviced that the embargo is enforced by the airline not customs... If I could some how get some answers regarding this I would appreciate it..."

The United people that I spoke to in the terminal were very rude and disrespectful. The one woman that I spoke to was extremely nasty to me and it seemed like she was under the influence of something. This experience was totally unacceptable . Not everyone is comfortable flying, especially if they have not flown much. Airport personnel should take that into better consideration . Instead of flying next time, I probably should take the train!"

I will avoid United at all costs the next time I travel...truly."

Cons: "I arrived at my final destination and walked to baggage claim. I was just standing there waiting when a young girl walked by me in a uniform and said rudely and almost annoyed, "do you have a question". I replied that I was waiting on my bag. She then said these are it and I said so my bag has been lost? Without any empathy AT ALL she again, rudely and now most definitely annoyed said Do you have your bag tag? I said yes and she proceeded to walk away to a corner office. I assumed I was to follow. She took my tag, no communication at all from her, I said what are you doing and she replied I have to file a claim. She then proceeded to tell me that Newark Airport was horrible and never travel through there if I know what's good for me. This was extremely unprofessional. I was simply wanting some guidance from her on what to expect etc. I had to ask her what my next steps were. She handed me a flyer and said if I had any questions to call baggage information listed on the pamphlet. I left. The next day at about 1 p.m. I called the number and the update said my bag had left the airport and was out for delivery. Keep in mind that I had to work the next day after the airline losing my bag and had to purchase shower items etc due to them being in my lost bag. Portland jetport and my home address is less than 40 minutes apart, yet my bag did not arrive at my home until 8:30 p.m. and I'm also not confident it would have ever arrived because I called around 7 p.m. and spoke with someone who called the delivery service to ask their ETA. I paid $25 to check my bag and yet it was lost. What did I pay for?! If I can help it, I will NEVER fly United again and I'll be certain to tell everyone I know about my experience with this airline."

Cons: "A lot of people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and dispositions were crammed into a comparatively small space. It was close and stuffy, very little space to stretch or move about when that was allowed. I'm not tall, but in terms of body mass I'm thicker and wider than many folks, but not obese, and my body thermostat tends to run on the warm side. So the flight was a bit of a physical and mental ordeal for me. The entertainment might have been great had my headphone port been operational. A previous passenger broke off the plug in the hole and the flight staff didn't have a pair of pliers on board to pull it out. Consequently, I was unable to listen to the media in-flight. Also, I couldn't recline my seat because the fussy older woman who sat behind me complained when I did, which made it difficult to snooze."

Cons: "- They were very strict about carry-on luggage size, and insisted even after the flight being 3 hours late. My carry-on fit into their overhead compartment just fine. - No food was offered during the 6 hours flight. - Chairs in coach are uncomfortable for long flights (same as some other airlines I've flown with). Feet or head rest could be nice additions that don't require much additional space per passenger."

Airline representative didn't know the difference between the expiry date of a visa and that of my passport.. he just ran away with the passport to check and didn't get convinced and it took him long to return, with me just waiting and knowing nothing about where he went. Only the passport needs to be valid for three months after returning from the trip. Not the visa. He should know that. I got my boarding pass at the end, and he didn't apologize for the inconvenience or anything."

Pros: "Crew was nice. However the spirit airline attendant at the desk told me to gate check my bag. I stood there waiting for someone to grab my bag for sometime. So I asked the stewardess and she told me just to bring the bag in and put my carry on in the over head compartment."
Cons: "However the desk attendant came on the aircraft took my bag out of the overhead compartment. And then left it outside or the plane. I waited at the airport for until 1:30am before I got a confirmation that the back was in fact at Newark still. I had a nursing convention to go to and I had no clothing. So I had to Uber to Walmart than Uber back to my hotel. So I didn’t get any sleep. I didn’t check into my hotel til 4am due to a negligent spirit employee. I paid for the checked bag and there was plenty of space in the over head compartment. She caused me unnecessary stress and an embarrassing morning with my administrators due to my lack of sleep."

I was then charged $65 to then bring it on board an additional $20 to secure a sit since the flight had been over booked. The flight was delayed for the late arrival of on board staff. Most of the passengers were flight crew either connecting."

I sat on the plane from 3pm-10:30. Staff had no clue and charged everyone for food. You get what you pay for & im never flying Spirit again."

We got charged an additional $40. Overall, we spent an additional $200! We chose this airline for the lower fares, but they get their money back by charging for everything. You pay for everything. I requested to not do that as there is only space for one body to go through. I got 'I'm only trying to do my job' to dismiss my request. Heard complains from one attendant about the delay causing her to miss her sleeping hours. Was not able to relax because of the attendant's loud conversation with one of the passengers and the loud noises made by the slamming of the doors in the food and refreshment area. Tried to keep occupied but the tray was too small to place my apple laptop. So just tried to squeeze myself in my seat to avoid being bopped into my head and shoulders. Not a very relaxing flight. Was not impressed about the are of a customer comfort. Another passengers were also complaining."

Cons: "In addition to one hour delay that created so much inconvenience, the performance of the flight attendants were not acceptable. Non of them checked the security aspects of the flight before departure including seat belts or not letting people keep their back packs between the legs instead of putting them under the seat. Furthermore, my seat was beside a person who needed two seats instead of one seat and all the time during fligt I was in an extreme discomfort. I talked to the flight attendants and asked them if possible to give me another seat but they were not willing to help much.Totally I am really disappointed with boarding+comfort and the crew. I will definitely try my best not to fly with Spirit airlines anymore."
