Cons: "We were not allowed to board our connecting flight and are stranded currently at the Istanbul airport and had to book our next flight with indigo as the staff closed the boarding ahead of time even though we were on time. Lot of shouting and crying by other passengers happening for the same reason."

No help with connecting flights was offered. when I asked to reserve a connecting flight - I was put on a connecting flight that I missed anyway because of further on-going delay. When I reached Istanbul - no help was actively offered. I had to arrange my connecting flight. No compensation was offered. When we asked for some food and water, we were sent to the lowest level lounge in Ataturk airport. Very poor Turkish Airlines experience!"

At one instance I was locked in the washroom as the door was not opening from inside, until I had to call the attendant. Entertainment options were limited. Food was below average. In one of my meals I got opened and melted butter. Cabin crew was not responding to the calls when I needed water. I finally got it after ringing 4 bells and 45 minutes. Overall, a terrible experience and would not choose to fly with Ethiopian again."

I don't get how they can just screw a whole day for a group of people and not even say "sorry.""

Cons: "The experience from the airport to the plane to Lome was beyond troubling. If ever you are flying internationally from NYC, never fly from Newark New Jersey. Nevertheless, upon boarding the Ethiopian Airline flight to Lome that was supposed to depart at 9:15 pm, the courtesy of the flight attendants was a bit mundane. My mother and I sat on the plane for about an hour after the time of the depart before inquiring why we have no moved and the doors were closed. The flight attendant responded with, "We shall be moving shortly." The air conditioner was barely on. My mother is battling stage 3 Cancer and is an older woman so, I feared for the safety of her health in such a condition. About 30 minutes passed, and we inquired again. This time with a different flight attendant and she said she just did not know what was going on. Other people on the plane began to panic in a sense as well because like my mother and I, they too had a connecting flight to catch. The pilot did not inform the passengers of what was occurring. So, at this point, all passengers on flight ET509 had been sitting on the plane for an hour and a half. By the time we were sitting on the plane for 2 HOURS with the doors closed the pilot finally informed us that they were waiting for some paperwork. He did not apologize or give more information as to why we were sitting on the plane so long, with practically no AC, and weren't informed about when we would be pulling off. About 10 minutes later, the plane began backing up while people were still standing because they were restless with the wait especially when we had a 10-hour flight ahead of us. The pilot then got on the loudspeaker stating that we will be pulling in the air shortly and for the flight attendants to be seated. The pilot did not apologize for the inconvenience or state how long the flight would be or what time we would land in Lome, Togo. Once we were in the air, there were many safety hazards administered by both the crew and pilot. The seat belt safety information was not given, the exit areas in case of emergency were not discussed, what to do in case of an emergency, where certain equipment would be in case of illness or an emergency, and we were still not informed about the cause of the 2 hours and 15-minute delay. My mother and I consistently checked the flight tracker and it did not show the duration of our flight, our location while flying, no flight information was displayed and as hard working paying passengers we should have had all of the information and not have to continuously ask to get a slight answer. Also, I am a vegan and they did not have food for me. But there was a flight attendant who gave me extra fruit which I greatly appreciated. The flight coming back to Newark was decent, going was the major issue. I pray we are accommodated for these great inconveniences. Because to have spent almost $3,000 and receive this type of treatment is both saddening and disturbing to me."

Cons: "Terminal 1 Disgusting. Rundown, embarrassing, chaos everywhere and no real sense of security. No police or security presence. You could just walk right into a gate! I was shocked to see this especially being from NYC. If you can avoid Terminal 1 do so. The seats were DISGUSTING! Dirty, warped fabric seating was dirty and caked on. Smelled and many seats were visually broken. I'm glad I brought with me some Clorox wipes to wipe my area down with. You get what you pay for but wow! I would not spend my money on this airline again."

I think it's important that they respond more promptly and do a quick service considering the long flight we have."

Our ticket was somehow suspended BY THEM so we had to call an office in a different country to unsuspeND then we were able to cancel. No help at all and kept dodging responsibility and forwarding the problem to other offices. Would book a different airline to avoid unneeded stress."

And all the airlines in america do this curtesy of either waking a sleeping passanger or serve meal later to that passanger. Indian crew members are just waiting to leave the passager hungry and throw your stupid excuses. And I am an Indian, so dont call me prejudiced."

Cons: "dont' like 3-3-3 seat configuration Crew was not service oriented, very cold, not courteous, they need training as members of the service industry. One example is a passenger requested some water, the stewardess responded in a very demeaning way to go and get it himself that there is a buffet set up in the rear of the plane...really? And the buffet was 3 bottles of water and a stack of cups."
Cons: "Due to additional security measures, our flight was delayed for take-off and so were delayed in landing at New Delhi. Also on flight, the Seat 11J entertainment module was a challenge. At the slightest pretext it would have a free fall and did injure me twice. I had to hold it thereafter just to ensure it did not slip again from its position."

Cons: "I have great regards for air India based on domestic experience. But my first international experience made me change my opinion. Below two things are the main reason, Food - taste was below average and rice not properly cooked. Cabin crew - could have been a little courteous. And also have at least one stationed during flying time."

Cons: "Flight was 1.5hrs delayed for no apparent reason. I missed my connection which was another Air INDIA flight and had to wait until the next day."
Pros: "Air India people had no clue on the flight information. The flight was delayed by 2 hours and they made more that 20 announcements about delays. It was chaotic and within two mins they were changing the announcement content."
Cons: "The check-in person at the counter was very rude. He showed authoritative behavior and was under notion that he is supreme. He had no respect for people and passengers."
Pros: "We chose Air India over other cheaper airlines for a purpose. My husband is disabled and I didn't want us to be the only passengers waiting for wheel chair at the end of our trip. Air India usually has a lot of older passengers and passengers with disability traveling, so I thought we will be in good company. The attendants were good in assisting him. They wheeled him in isle chair to his seat, transferred him nicely to his seat. Came to help whenever we asked help to get him to wash room. This is what is more important to us while traveling over everything else."
Cons: "Our boarding experience in New York excellent. On flight experience was different. Hot meals were wrapped in wrinkled foil. Never asked veg or non-veg. Just handed some meal. I was sitting in the middle isle in the middle seat. Attendants on both isles over looked me while handing meals. Bypassed me without serving tea or coffee. One would say the other would serve me. Passengers were thoughtless and pushy when I am assisting my disabled husband to wash room."

Cons: "Media system dint worked for my seat and so was issue for many other seats."
Pros: "I had plenty of leg room and the staff was VERY patient and accommodating. I would definitely take this airline again. A very comfortable flight."

Pros: "They messed our meal requests. I was traveling with a toddler and whenever requested for water, milk, etc. the crew never responded. Their expectation was to walk up to the back and get refreshments. I understand that the crew can't respond every now and then. But, in a 14 hours long flight if the crew only shows up doing meal services it is horrible. It could work otherwise but, if you need special assistance, you should rethink. I saw this gentleman who was quite sick and the crew never responded to his requests for water. I walked up a few times to get water, juice, etc. and communicated this to the crew that there are people with toddlers, sick etc. who might need assistance. They seemed so casual with their response! No apologies etc. They were like "Yes we understand". But, then what if you understand, do you understand what needs to be done to fix this!"
Pros: "Not at all good for seating..."
Pros: "The flight was enjoyable, boarding was very easy, the crew as a whole was friendly and helpful. Ever passenger was given a blanket, pillow and water bottle on there seat when they boarded the plane. Meals were provided on time and hot"
Cons: "The entertainment wasn't working, during the flight it would freeze. The games wouldn't load. When the entertainment system was work the shows was were great"
Pros: "It was a non-stop flight which was very convenient. Lots of inflight movies to choose from. We were never hungry because we were served several meals. However not all the meals were very good."
Cons: "The crew. No one was friendly, and at times came across as rude. Lavatories were not kept clean during this 13 hour flight. Very cramped. Plane looked dirty."
Pros: "I was surprised at how comfy the seats were considering their proximity to one another. The food was also another pleasant experience. . .we received 2 full meals and a light lunch. The former 2 were delicious and tasted homemade. The service left a bit to be desired but was still significantly better than I had heard/read.Though the crew didn't go beyond their basic tasks and never responded to the "call button", they were personable and carried out their responsibilities sufficiently enough."
Pros: "Seats had no cushion. Seats were very uncomfortable and completely worn out. Entrainment sets....head sets socket was broken. Touch screen would not work. Remote...some keys were not working. Food was good. Direct flight was great."
Cons: "2 combined flights were a total of 6 hrs. Kathmandhu to Delhi was 3 .5 hrs late. 2 hrs late from Delhi to Ahmedabad. Unfriendly staff."
Pros: "This was a long haul flight on a newly introduced direct flight SFO-DEL. Unusually for such a flight, it turned out to be pretty comfortable - the seating had more legroom than expected, cabin crew were friendly and attentive, and the cabin was clean. I never thought I'd say this but I might fly this again !!"

Pros: "The flight was fully packed . Almost after 6 hrs of flight bottles and tissues were littered here and there . Bathroom started to be dirty . No water was kept in the nearby pantry . Flight attendants didn't come when called ."
Cons: "I left NYC (JFK in New York) and arrived in KTM (Kathmandu, Nepal) via a transit through New Delhi. In New Delhi, I spoke to 2 agents and they both confirmed my luggage would be on the flight and I can pick up my bags in KTM. My luggage was supposed to arrive in KTM yesterday at 12:10pm. Nothing showed up at the airport. As of now, the time is 3:10pm the NEXT day and I still haven't received my luggage! What's worse is the airline hasn't contacted me yet!! I've tried calling them a million times but they just won't pick the phone up! All my necessities and clothing are in the bags - And it's freezing here. Avoid AIR INDIA! Was told by many that this is a common issue with flights that take a transit via DEL where bags go missing or arrive a few days after with items stolen from within the baggages! Can someone in Air India please contact me? I can't get anyone on the phone in New York, Delhi or Kathmandu offices!!! This is ridiculous!"
