I was surprised that Delta handling was worse than any of the cheaper flights I normally take and will not be checking any baggage with Delta again."

Pros: "I paid only $100 more round trip to DTW from SLC then I would have with other carriers, minus the hassle of connecting flights and paying fees that they don't tell you about up front (like $25 for a carry-on bag, oh and a another $12 per leg for a window seat). My experience, like my previous Delta experiences was absolutely enjoyable. From the quick boarding, super friendly gate agents, and flight crew, to the free on board entertainment, Delta has won me over once again. Oh and did I mention how great it is to board a flight, relax and watch a good movie, take a small nap, and deplane at your destination! Awesome!!"

Cons: "The ground crew (in Detroit) were unfriendly and rude. I asked two simply which line I should be in, the First lady just ignored me, the second gentleman rudely told me where to stand. They were not terribly busy at the time and I politely asked as I was unsure which line to be in. The flight attendants (only from ORF to Detroit) also were unfriendly with an attitude. Just simple stuff. I asked for extra ice, she thought I said no ice. Simple mistake, no big deal but when I explained that I actually wanted extra ice she was perturbed!"

When we checked in at SLC the agent used my last name, which showed me the extra mile Delta staff will go to make the travel with them professional and curious. The flight left on time and when we arrived in Detroit our bags were already there waiting for us. Couldn't have asked for more!"

Waited 20 min only to hear a bunch of lies about how they asked the flight attendant to look but she couldn’t find it - should have just walked back on plane to do it myself. Was told to “go online” and file a lost and found report. This is a small airport - TRI cities TN - absolutely zero customer focus by and American Airline employee - and I asked to sp all with a supervisor and manager with the hope I would get my phone back. Worst service and zero caring attitude I’ve dealt with - and I fly a lot. It will be Delta from here on out. I went on line and filed a complaint and lost and found report - am betting a large amount of money I hear nothing other than an automated reply."

However, we were later switch to another plane 4 hr later, boarded, de iced, taxied, then notified he flight was cancelled at 1 am because the crew hit their maximum work time. We were de-boarded. There was no organization to get vouchers passed out. The hotel ran out of rooms for passengers. The whole trip was 16 hrs delayed and no customer service provided."

Given the volume at which it was said to me I felt embarrassed, and was upset at the fact that I then had to respond that I indeed was in the correct location."

United refused to accommodate us on a comparable flight on another airline, and Delta offered a direct flight for less money than we originally paid United. United alienated a previously loyal United customer."

I could not get comfortable let alone sleep, and my backside felt like I had been sitting on a park bench rather than a long haul coach airline seat. Cons: "When I landed in San Francisco, my ticket did not have a gate number on it. My layover was only 55 minutes long so I knew I needed to get straight to my gate. I looked at the screen of departures. The screen said Eugene was at gate 72. I rushed to gate 72 to find that on display screen for gate 72, it said boarding for passengers to Orange County. I then walked to information. The gentleman at information wrote down that my gate was gate 67. I hurried to gate 67 (with only 15 minutes until boarding for my flight began). At gate 67 I asked a United Airlines worker if I was at the correct gate. He said no, my gate was 72. I explained to him I was just there. He was very rude and said if I did not want to believe him, that's fine. I said no, I believe you, I just want to be certain I am going to the correct place as I should be boarding very soon. I started running back to gate 72. On my way I stopped at the United Airlines customer service desk and encountered yet another rude United Airlines associate named Irada. She told me I needed to wait my turn in line and could not help me, even though I needed to be boarding soon. I ran back to gate 72 and the board said Eugene. I asked a pilot who was sitting down on break about the reasoning behind the boards and he helped me. A pilot whose job is not at all in customer service was the one who helped while those with the job in customer service were rude. I was very exhausted and upset with the confusion and noone willing to help. I do not believe I will be flying with United anymore if associates who are supposed to be helpful are not."

Then they rebooked me on a flight that had an additional connect and arrived 4 hours later then expected. By the time I got to my new flight gate- it was delayed so would miss my next connecting flight. Long story short it's 3 hours past when I was suppose to leave and settled for s flight to PDX tonight getting in at midnight. My friend From eugue is picking me up in Portland tomorrow. It has been an unsuccessful flight. Almost cancelled and went home......"

Cons: "I don't think it's fair that you don't any money back of you cancel your plane ticket. It shouldn't matter what type of ticket it was. You should at least be allowed a voucher for the amount of the ticket at a later date. Even if it's a percentage off, you should be allowed something. How is it that you can buy a car worth thousands, and be allowed to return it under the Lemon Law. When a company called can make billions of dollars doing this, it's just taking advantage of the little people."

Pros: "The flights were on the empty side so there was an open seat next to me"
Cons: "The first flight got delayed so I missed my connection. My connecting flight got delayed about five times and sat on the runway for over an hour. I ended getting home at eleven PM when I was anticipating getting home st 9:45 AM"

Pros: "Absolutely nothing. Worst customer service my 15 month old daughter and I have ever experienced. United airlines does not care about us one bit. They put my daughters safety at risk with such lack of compassion. Caused such unbelievable stress and chaos. I will continue to tell everyone I know how horrible this was. No one will want to fly United after they hear what my daughter and I were put thru."

Pros: "Absoluteky nothing. I mean literally NOTHING. I take that back, a pilot for another flight who saw my predicament and tried his best to help me figure which flight to take in the morning. Also, as far as floors go, the airport terminal was maybe only the ninth worst I've slept on. Kudos!"
Cons: "Wretched customer service. Flight delayed multiple hours after my ride departed and stranded at airport for fourteen hours with no food or beverage comps, or even kindness from the their agents. Was told "oh well, weather". I had left my remaining cash (and didn't bring my card) with my lady friend to get the kids some nice things (she is driving back on a seperate day and was already two hours away by the time we found out flight wasn't happening in time) and absolutely zero compassion given by United. Also, required to add an 80 dollar uber when I get home because there will be no ride as my orginal ride can't make it. May also have to call out of work. Not even an offer to bump my seat on next flight to close to the cabin or exit row. Two hours on phone with customer service with no offers of even slight compensation even when this entire situation is explained. I get it. I agreed to terms of service, but your service sucked and is costing me an armful of money at this point, wouldn't it be in the slightest interest of theirs to give me a meal, or a room or even a lousy coffee?"

Cons: "Apparently flight crews are limited and even though our plane was ready to leave we had to wait for a crew member to arrive that was delayed at another airport which in turn delayed our flight."

Cons: "After getting pushed back 3 times it finally got canceled and left me and 4 other strangers to drive back home so I wouldn't miss work. Another not being late to work in the military is not good to go."

Cons: "standing on the tarmac for a few minutes, waiting to board, was uncomfortably cold / I wasn't dressed for that."

Pros: "Crew was wonderful and snacks were average"
Cons: "The seat back was very uncomfortable but this was a short flight with a small plane. Not terrible but below average."
