"Annoying that every short flight is delayed over 40 minutes consistently . Why am i taking a 1 hour flight when it becomes two hours plus airport and uber time? Maybe we should all just drive??"
"my row of TVs didn't work"
Cons: "Missed this flight by a few minutes because the previous JetBlue flight was delayed by about 30 or 40 minutes. It would have been better if the connecting flight could have waited a few minutes, then about 8 or 10 of us wouldn’t have had to have been rerouted and spend nights at the airport."
Cons: "Seat 14A had malfunctioning audio and the internet connection made it hard to stream"
Cons: "the flight was 2 hours delayed but the staff continuously kept us up to date"
Cons: "It was a 6 hour flight and I didn’t know only 2 snacks and a water were available on the plane until I got to the airport. Almost everything was still closed at the airport. We were quite hungry and thirsty."
Cons: "First time flying with JET BLUE Loved It"
Pros: "I liked the male flight attendants on my flight. They were nice and cheery and was always willing to help. The inflight entertainment and WiFi was great. The snacks were also good."
Cons: "I forgot to the flight attendant’s name but she was quite rude. I traveled with an infant who required warming up of her milk in a bottle and I would ask for hot water and she failed to bring it over. I requested hot water twice. Initially when the plane was taking off- she stated she cannot bring anything while the flight was taking off but even after take off and in cruising altitudes she did not come over until we rang the call bell and another flight attendant came over. Second time mid flight we happen to ask the same flight attendant for hot water as she passed by— she nodded her head but again never returned with the hot water. Again I hit the call button and another attendant came over and gave me water. I felt that she did not like attending to the flight guests and always seemed to give an attitude. I understand traveling with a child may be hard for others, but imagine the parents who have to care for a starving baby. The flight was also a bit too warm."
Pros: "Crew was very friendly and responsive"
Cons: "Would’ve been nice if they offer headphones. Maybe they did and I just didn’t notice."
Pros: "A 6+ hour flight is always tedious but jet Blue is always the best option, with live tv and a good supply of movies and snacks."
Cons: "Quicker departure, 20 minutes on the tarmac, but that’s not the airline fault...FAA Boston"
Pros: "Facilities and amenities (WiFi, unlimited snacks, comfortable seat)"
Cons: "Gate agents consistently telling paxs to SIT DOWN if their boarding group hasn’t been called yet."
Pros: "Crew is always fantastic, JetBlue crew members never let me down!"
Pros: "Great crew. Mint experience is fantastic, actually great airline food. Better than any other domestic first class. Free internet!"
Pros: "In flight entertainment was great"
Pros: "The crew was very nice."
Cons: "My video screen did not work so I couldn't watch anything. Then when we landed we had to wait an hour on the tarmac before we could get to a gate."
Pros: "Not too full of a flight"
Cons: "It was delayed 3 hours"
Pros: "Boarding process was smooth, and attendants were kind and entertainment system seemed good."
Cons: "Attendants could allow passengers to use extra leg room seats if they are empty once in the air. Would be great if the default setting for the screens was OFF."
Pros: "Gabe me a free wine"
Pros: "Friendly crew. Extra snacks and drinks were a big plus on a long flight."
Cons: "There were not enough people that checked their carryons, which lead to a long delay in boarding. Jetblue people should have demanded more checked bags to avoid a long delay in boarding. The flight was painfully long due to snow, which is understandable."
Pros: "Best food and entertainment availability"
Cons: "When we arrived from hawaii to SFO airport we had to exit in order to get our tickets for our next flight (SFO to FLL) and we had to go through security again for this reason. No one around to help, we even called from one of the airport telephones but no one answered."
Pros: "I like the comfort of the flight and the kindness of the crew"
Cons: "I'm disappointed that my carry-on has been charged like a suitcase, that has stolen time to reach my booked house in the city"
Pros: "It was really nice having a USB charger under every seat."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed by 2 hours and I was only notified when I had arrived at the airport."
Pros: "The flight was smooth, efficient and friendly crew. For a 5hr flight, the snacks were very sparse."
Cons: "A full meal"
Cons: "Entertainment controller was broken"
Pros: "The flight was comfortable enough once it got going after a 5-hour delay."
Cons: "Flight from FLL to SFO was delayed by 5 hours due to a technical issue with the plane. Upon arrival I received an apology email from JetBlue and a flight voucher. However, I will also be filing a claim with the airfare app to seek reimbursement for the enourmous inconvenience this delay caused."
Pros: "I liked that they offered quality and complimentary snacks and how they didn't make a big deal if we wanted like 2 tob4 servings of water as i get extremely dehydrated. Staff was friendly and their boarding times and door closing times were clearly printed on the b pass which i appreciated. If only their frequent flier numbers were partnered with more programs. Seats were clean and were connected so you cpukd watch tv and recharge your phone. Good variety of movies!"
Cons: "I think they charged for blankets but at least it wasnt freezing like AA"
Pros: "Not much"
Cons: "Boarding is a free for all. The extra room seats I paid more for had no storage nearby. The WiFi stopped working an hour into the flight. You have to pay for headsets to listen to the entertainment (or bring an old set with you. Your newer headphones won’t work nor do wireless). If your flight is an hour and a half late, would be nice to offer at least one free drink."
Pros: "The delays were understandable as it was a snow storm. The crew was great."
Cons: "My entertainment system was broken, and on a coast to coast flight in the middle of the night where sleeping is impossible, that really sucked."
Pros: "I love JetBlue's hot towels at the end of long flights. I also love that the have free (Good) snacks. They do have considerably more leg room and bigger seats, and the free WiFi is fabulous!"
Cons: "The cleanliness of the plane in general could've been MUCH cleaner, but I understand that with quick turnaround times and getting in and out on time this is difficult. The air temperature was inconsistent sometimes too cold, sometimes too warm which made staying comfortable difficult. I wish they had more fresh options on the later leaving flights. Also, two of the crew members were SUPER chatty all throughout our evening flight and I could hear them through the earplugs."
Cons: "BOARDING WENT SMOOTHLY, FLIGHT ATTENDANTS WERE GOOD, FREE ENTERTAINMENT WAS GREAT, SEATS WERE COMFORTABLE."
Pros: "The boarding was easy, the legroom was great for economy, the service was straightforward and the price was fair."
Pros: "Smooth flight everything moved pretty timely"
Cons: "Check in was a little hectic"
Pros: "I was about to miss the last bus home due to weather delay. the crew made an announcement asking passengers to let me get off first. Everyone did. They were amazing in every way."
Cons: "1. when there are delays...and the gates get super congested, you should a person directing people. 2. the majority of people at the gate, on board, making announcements – put their energy into speed and musicality in their voice. It should be about clarity. I know, they say the same thing 10 times an hour...but I want to get what they are saying...particularly if it's about safety."
Cons: "Delayed and departure time changed but wasn’t reflected until I was at the gate. They also changed my seat from the front to very back of the plane"
Pros: "The in flight entertainment was awesome. They have free WiFi, Direct TV, XM radio and more."
Cons: "The flight was so uncomfortable. It was hot in the cabin, and the seats seem to be even more uncomfortable than other airlines. Our backs and butts hurt, and nobody was able to get any rest."
Pros: "Flight was delayed over an hour, I missed my apointment rendering my trip useless and now a waste of money. This is not the firat time, I will not be using Jetblue in my future trips."
Pros: "Amazing service from start to finish, movies for really long flights, comfortable seats and always a pleasurable experience :)"
Cons: "Leg room is tight but I can live with that"
Pros: "Food was really good, but the cabin crew were up to JetBlue's normal outstanding service"
Cons: "The range of movies is still pretty poor (if you're a frequent JetBlue traveller)"
Pros: "fee movies"
Cons: "couldn't find the movie that I started watching on my previous flight"
Pros: "Timeliness, crew courtesy."
Cons: "Chatty girl next to me on cell phone pretending to be a big shot. Our lite didn't work. Seemed like old, old plane rattling"
Pros: "2.5 hours late boarding because there was no piliot or co pilot. They lied about reason blaming on grounding by san fran but then a supervisor said they were waiting for a pilot because they were taking out"
Cons: "The crew"
Pros: "Again the on board crew was very helpful and were willing to vouch that the plane had mechanical issues not weather issues when the gate agent in LGB tried to tell me that I would not get reimbursement for ground transportation to get from San Jose to San Francisco. So the good is that JetBlue did reimburse me for the LYFT I had to take to San Francisco."
Cons: "Well I arrived in San Jose, not San Francisco. So I arrived 3.5 hours late. Also, I did not appreciate when the gate agent told me that I could not be reimbursed for ground transportation because my flight was weather delayed not mechanically delayed. I understand that he/she may not have known what was the issue with my original flight out of Salt Lake. But, telling me that I would have to pay for ground transportation at 1 am to get the last 30+ miles to my destination made me really worried. If he/she didn't know and didn't have the time or resources to figure it out, I would have preferred if she redirected me to someone else or a phone number or email."
Pros: "Crew were great, boarding process was good too. Great snacks and overall a good experience."
Cons: "The plan temperature was like 85°f for the whole journey meaning you pass our, sweat, or get a headache. Also the seats were really uncomfortable."
Cons: "The Jet Blue counter person was not helpful at all providing direction to us from International Terminal to Domestic terminal C. No help at all to passengers who are not familiar with Logan Airport. Major major disappointment!"
Pros: "Entertainment and timeliness of the departure and arrival."
Pros: "everything on flight was excellent!"
Cons: "at time of flight: the price!"
Pros: "This was my second time ever flying JetBlue (the last time I did was maybe 5-7 years ago). I forgot what a pleasure it is to fly JetBlue! The service and amenities are similar to Virgin, not the mention, the snacks are awesome! I will definitely keep this in mind for future travel. Thanks, JetBlue!"
Cons: "Seats are too cramp, but all airlines seem to be like this now. Food options were very limited on our flights which were a letdown. Only snacks available for 5-6 hour flights, no meals like advertised in the pamphlets."
Pros: "Excellent service"
Cons: "Too long flight time I noticed the plane speed was 440 MPH most of the time. This may be the first flight I sat which was flying this slow"
"Flight attendant for first class is definitely not a morning person. Oh and the WiFi DID NOT WORK!"
"The lady at the check in desk never asked me if I was first class or main cabin. Just assumed I was main cabin. So they almost made me check my carry on until I showed my boarding pass. Other than that, everything was great. Smooth flight flight attendants were very nice"
"WiFi did not work at all!"
"Compared to other US airlines, American is the worst. The planes are tight. Seats are uncomfortable and there was no option to buy food on a 6 hour flight. Also the free wifi didn’t work."
Pros: "Bast trips!!"
Cons: "Evriting is good!!!"
Cons: "Enforcement of federal rules requiring children two and over too wear a mask. Flight attendant did not believe it was her responsibility to ask the age of the child sitting next to us, sneezing and coughing."
Pros: "The crew.was so rude, even from the check in process"
Cons: "Sick joke of an airline they treat you like cattle even in first class if you can even call it that. It’s more like premium economy and the staff is not friendly they act like they are put out when you ask for anything."
Pros: "Reasonably comfortable, quick flight."
Cons: "Missed connections due to late flights - twice."
Pros: "Crew and service was solid given the covid restrictions."
Pros: "Literally nothing"
Cons: "After sitting on the plane for over an hour we had to change planes. Notice that our aircraft isn’t working properly before you board it would be helpful so we aren’t 2 hours behind schedule having to sit on a hot airplane during covid"
Pros: "Flight attendant was very fun. It was her birthday and made the day fun for everyone."
Cons: "Seats are always too close together - left to right and front to back. A sad reality that only improves for the well-to-do."
Pros: "The crew was amazing. It would be nice to be informed that although beverage service is suspended, you can still request drinks that are available. I had to find this on the website and didn't get anything by a tiny water bottle for both of my 3+ hour flights."
Cons: "I understand main cabin isn't supposed to be as upscale as 1st class, but it would do well if the seats were a bit more comfortable and the headrest was softer, it feels like a lump or sack of potatoes. Very stiff and hard. Also, having enough arm room would be nice so you're not fighting the person next to you for space on the armrest."
Pros: "Flight was slightly delayed (20 min). However, boarding was quick."
Cons: "The flight was full so no option to distance."
Pros: "Again the flight did not happen since my flight from Munich to Dallas was cancelled without informing me why and so on."
Pros: "Crew was attentive and accommodating for seats due to virus."
Cons: "Delays could've been prevented or let passengers know, instead of being on the plane for 2 hours without moving."
Pros: "Crew was very hospitable"
Cons: "Flight was a little late taking off, so punctuality could have been a little better"
Pros: "The crew serving the plane didn't look like they wanted to be there. Somewhat abrasive. The entertainment was poor and not very easy to access through your mobile, Iphone and Ipad. If you want to provide a better customer experience, equip all your planes with seats video screens. Passengers on a 4 to 5 hours flight don't want to have to figure out what do to watch a movie or TV. I don't fly American that often, but wanted to give it a try to see the difference between you and the other airlines. I have to say that on the return segment (ORD to SFO), I was not that impressed."
Cons: "See above"
Pros: "Slight delay in leaving"
Cons: "Baggage claim took 30-45 minutes after deplaning"
Pros: "Crew were very helpful"
Cons: "I have an injury so I paid extra for 'extra leg room" but there's a wall between economy and business class so very little legroom. My leg was hurting a lot and the flight attendants had to find me a different seat because I could not stay there for 5 hours. I wouldn't have paid extra for this seat."
Cons: "4 hour delay for no reason! I’m never flying with American Airlines again!"
Cons: "On Time. Delayed advice 3 times."
Pros: "They had the AC on while we were waiting on the plane at the gate for 1.5hours"
Cons: "That the flight was delayed for 2 hours, information was inaccurate/missing, they knew we'd miss our connections but did nothing except, "they'll deal with it in San Francisco" and when we landed there was no one in sight to help us--no escorts/expedite to gates, no one to tell us where to get rebooked, and after going back and forth between terminals, waited in line an hour to get rebooked on a series of flights that would get me in 22hrs later after my original flight."
Cons: "Cramped seating and illogical boarding process"
Pros: "The flight and cabin crews handled an equipment problem and consequent delay, and information about it, very well."
Cons: "salt free option for snacks; flight could have not been delayed but that’s not the flight crew’s fault. winds at sfo caused us to delay our takeoff"
Cons: "if the crew/flight wasn’t filled with racist tendencies that forced a black man and his partner to take a new flight because his “tone” wasn’t to their liking when he responded to accidentally being the wrong seat, costing us 90 minutes at least of delays because they deplaned us all when all."
Pros: "Everyone was nice and it went smoothly!"
Pros: "The flight crew was quite lovely."
Cons: "People all over the coach section were complaining about not being able to sit together. Families with babies, couples, even ours (though the kids are old enough for me not to be truly worried as some were). Somehow reservations seems to have messed up an entire flight. We gave up trying to fix it for fear they would make it worse. Then the woman at the gate tried to get folks to volunteer to give up their seats on an overbooked flight. But she was screaming at us. Unbelievably unpleasant to be yelled at over and over again and told we could lose our seats. The poor weather likely caused flights to be rerouted into PHL so our flight out to SFO ended up 1/3 empty. FABULOUS. But the gate experience was horrible and the legroom, had it been a full flight, was miserable. I'm in search of an airline with a humane approach."
Pros: "The plane was late but from that point everything was fine."
Cons: "The flight was delayed. The food was not great. There is not a lot of space in these planes, and it was a long flight. There is no power supply."
Cons: "Because they canceled my flight and i had to buy another ticket for 380$ and after that I realized my chair was available and i took a picture. It was really bad and i never choose again American Airlines."
Cons: "no inflight entertainment no outlets"
Pros: "Plenty of leg room."
Cons: "No arm room when someone the size of an NFL player sits next to you and falls asleep with their arms relaxing into your space. Then they sleep open-mouthed with bad breath. I paid extra for that?"
Cons: "Seats were quite uncomfortable, there was no entertainment options, there was no way to charge any electronic devices because the plane was so old, which meant I almost wasn't able to catch a ride home after the flight. For a cross-country flight, I would expect a better experience."
Cons: "No leg room"
Pros: "Flight was on time."
Cons: "Check in staff was unprepared for volume of people. When asking an American Airlines agent if I could use the priority check in because I had priority seating I was told no. I was informed by a customer going that way that I indeed could. When I got in line for the priority check in, the agent looked over and very loudly said that I was in the wrong check in area. Given the volume at which it was said to me I felt embarrassed, and was upset at the fact that I then had to respond that I indeed was in the correct location."
Cons: "For a flight five hours or more I was disappointed that there was no complimentary food. It otherwise it was fine"
Pros: "I really enjoyed the movies on this flight and they had us change to better seats before we took off"
Pros: "The plane was comfortable and flight was smooth."
Cons: "The shuttle to the plane wasn't bad, but would prefer not to have that element included."
Cons: "No room, limited entertainment, mediocre food. Was a very uncomfortable, long flight! Luggage late coming off plane, missed connecting flight and was not very helpful in getting rebooked."
Cons: "Again American Airlines was LATE. It was boarding time and no agent was at the gate. 10 minutes past boarding time the screen shows that the flight is delayed 25 minutes... but wait, there is still no plane at the gate! After 45 minutes the plane arrived, again had to be "cleaned" and prepared for flight back to SF. Customers were told the flight was delayed because Air Traffic Control issues in SF, but there was no plane in sight... Again I felt we were being lied to. The plane was filthy with garbage everywhere still. I will never fly American Airlines by choice!"
Cons: "People still using mobiles as we were taking off. Crew seemed not too bothered."
Pros: "The flight was >1 hour late, which the pilot told us was due to the LAX controllers changing the landing patterns due to weather. So this really wasn't anyone's fault. But there was a large difference in comfort between this flight and the JAL flight from Tokyo. Seats were smaller, and my wife and I couldn't get seats together."
Cons: "My flight was delayed for 3 hours and they where rude about my flight being delayed"
Pros: "The crew was able to seat my husband and I together at the last minute as my husband has mobility issures"
Cons: "The crew seemed like they could care less about the passengers. Choice of either one snack bag of pretzels or a biscotti ~ very minimal. No headphones were offered for the movies."
Pros: "I liked that the seats had chargers (even though I didn't need them) and that they offered entertainment."
Cons: "Boarding was over 30 minutes late which ruined my SF plans. The crew was mot welcoming walking on or off the flight. They were also very rude when serving, one even gave me a super nasty look and mumbled something under her breathe because she ran into me. Just a terrible experience. They also didn't tell me baggage prices when I was there just swiped my card."
Pros: "Staff was accommodating throughout the trip"
Cons: "We were delayed on every leg of the flight - even sitting on the tarmac for 1.5 hours. No nursing rooms available in the airports."
Pros: "The crew was very nice and competent and obbiously embarrased by whoever in operations screwed this flight up good."
Cons: "Pleane departed two hours and thirty minutes after original schedule because of operational and equipment problems. Plane wasn't even in Philadelphia unti 6:00 pm. The guy at boarding (unlike the boarding in SFO) called way too many groupss individually, First Class, Diamond, Premium, Gold, Priority. This led to many people being refused boarding and told to wait. In SF they simply call first class and then all the rest or the Aadvantage members together before the land boarding. Much faster and more efficeint. Even though the flight was full there less than 12 people in the Diamond, Premium, whatever classes. And the guy taking the boarding passes was a jerk. He actuallly seemed to take pleasure in telling people they couldn't board. Might not ever fly AA again. At least never from Philadelfphia."
Cons: "United canceled the flight ~36 hours in advance of the departure time because of anticipated severe weather. The forecast did not include any bad weather, and the apparent reason for the cancellation was excess capacity on routes to non-Newark United hubs from Norfolk. United refused to accommodate us on a comparable flight on another airline, and Delta offered a direct flight for less money than we originally paid United. United alienated a previously loyal United customer."
Pros: "Crew was amazing very clean"
Pros: "The flight seemed fine, it was comfortable and the crew was polite."
Cons: "When we arrived, we found that our luggage had been destroyed... The wheels were broken off and there were large rips in the suitcase.... It was a disappointment because we are both disabled and it is very difficult to drag a large bag through sfo without any wheels. United did offer a $75 voucher which was about half the cost of the bag. We were tired and accepted it."
Cons: "There was no entertainment. With a flight over three hours I would have thought there would be seatback mini-screens at least with a few movies to choose from. Also there was only one cart serving drinks which took forever because we had a seat towards the back and because it took so long we only had the one drink. It was so full of ice that really there was hardly any fluid and the ice pieces were too large to even chew them up. I felt very dehydrated during the flight. Since we can't bring our own water I feel like more should be provided."
Cons: "United Airlines in our experience runs late putting a lot of pressure on any ongoing connections . Not clean . Staff not friendly . Only sometimes helpful."
Pros: "The crew were so helpful and nice"
Cons: "Only if teleportation exists"
Pros: "The crew were friendly & efficient, the flights were on time, & the gate staff kept us well informed of any changes."
Pros: "Very friendly crew that empathized with the plight of the passengers on board. The poor experiences throughout the journey could have been avoided if United changed it's policies and processes to become more customer focused."
Cons: "So many small things add up to an overall poor experience on a flight, and it doesn't seem like United understands this. 1) WiFI was down. 2) Entertainment screens for several of the passengers on board were not working. The poor lady next to me had a broken screen, and combined with the broken WiFi, she literally just sat in her seat looking forward for several hours (after she finished the podcasts on her phone). 3) For a 5-6 hour flight, food (more than just snacks) were available for only about half the passengers on board. Apparently its an intentional policy of United to only have food available for a portion of the passengers. It wasn't even possible to purchase it if I wanted to because by the time the crew got to me, they were all out. 4) Baggage space under the seat varies wildly depending on your seat. For some reason, the aisle seat has the smallest space I have ever seen in my life (about the size of a shoe box). It was the first flight I have ever been on where I was literally not able to fit a small backpack underneath my seat."
Cons: "2 hr layover-got off plane and walked to new terminal-went through carry on bag and person security scans and checks. At the gate 30 mins before flight, boarding started. Directed to go to 1of3 stand up desks located in the open away from the gate and boarding lines. Desks were attended by one United employee each. All 3 of us;wife, husband, child passports, boarding passes were checked, and then we were told to get in line to board the plane. About one minute after getting in line, wife name was called over the boarding desk loud speaker to see the boarding desk attendant. At the boarding desk, the boarding desk attendant instructed wife to go back to one of the open area desks to have documents checked again. The attendant then instructed wife that her and her bag would need to go through a secondary search before wife would be alloyed to board the plane. Wife was then accompanied by open area desk attendant and walked down terminal 8 gates to private type room where personnel quickly checked contents of single carry on bag focusing on phone and computer. Wife then directed to go ahead and go back to gate to board plane. Wife quickly walked to gate and met husband and child to present passports and boarding passes. At this time the wife and child began being verbally rushed by a male united employee to hurry up down the pedway, and told the plane needed to leave so hurry up. Needless so say wife, husband and child were the few last guests to be seated. Well, when trying to get seated, all the overhead space had been taken in the area around the assigned seats. When husband briefly described the secondary search situation and thus the current predicament with no space in the overhead for carry on, the attendant asked husband to follow attendant to front of plane with your bag in order to stow there. After speaking with some other attendants, space was made available in an overhead compartment near wife, husband and child seat. ***Please be aware when flying united.... While waiting in the boarding line after multiple security checks where you and your carryon have been scanned and more than one document check has been done, you may to be asked to take a walk to go through yet another bag check, and then be rushed to board a plane that needs to leave, and then find no room for your carry on, and then be asked to put your carry on in a remote location and deal with getting to it and back to your seat for the next 11 hrs if you want to access the contents of your carry on."
Pros: "Very pleasant attentive crew and ground staff. An aborted takeoff on tarmac meant a return to the departure gate and the plane taken to maintenance. The ground staff were superb in dealing with a full plane load of passengers many of whom had onward connections. This meant we had to stay overnight and fly first thing the next morning. Full marks to United for dealing with a potentially dangerous situation and then assisting everyone back in the terminal."
Pros: "Good trip and on time"
Pros: "My trip started off with airplane problems from the beginning. From my flight being delayed multiple times by air china to the overly packed united to the confusion of the non updated confirmation numbers or the e-ticket number. Even on the day I left upon arriving to the airport my confirmation number they had just given me after all the prior problems still didn't work. Air china had mediocre food with okay entertainment except my headset jack on the TV was broke and I couldn't watch anything. On the last air china flight from Bejing to Bangkok. I couldn't even charge my phone, watch any entertainment and basically was just stuck with no WiFi. Justfly wouldn't compensate for the changes on their end and said I myself would have to ask the airlines for compensation which the.the airlines directed me no where for compensation or even to upgrade my seat. Now I'm finally in Thailand but I'm scared of my return."
Cons: "Everything was really not great. Air china had mediocre food that some of it wasn't bad but other was so so."
Pros: "The crew was very kind, professional and accommodating."
Cons: "I paid extra so that we could have more leg room and be closer to the front of the plane yet upon embarking we were part of the last group to board. We sat in the first isle directly behind firstclass yet borded. virtually last. I was told by the flight attendant that because I purchased my airfare through Kayak as opposed to the airline was the reason behind this. I had no idea that this was the case and on top of spending the additional fee for upgrading, I was disappointed. I have a 0 star for entertainment because there was no N/A as a selection choice. There were no movies or entertainment aboard this aircraft."
Cons: "we received email for the take off schedule changed to one hour early. End up when we arrived LAX and it got delayed 1 hr for take off due to air traffic. So when we arrived at SF, originally we only have 50 mins to catch on the next route to Osaka. There was no gate # provided on our boarding pass and we have to look for the international terminal for boarding. Due to first delay in SF, the time was so tight and the international terminal was so far away, we had to run like HELL and we almost suffered from heart attack. We barely made it and there was no one to help ever. we had to figure out on our own. This was very bad experience and was not acceptable with such poor arrangement."
Pros: "Crew was very nice, we got drink/service options often for a large flight."
Cons: "— A couple who had two middle seats apart disrupted our whole boarding by trying to persuade everyone around us to give up an aisle or window seat so they could sit together. I felt pressured to give in which made me mad. I wondered if they paid for Basic Economy and then still got their way on seats. — WiFi is just crazy expensive at $32. Even as a business traveler I felt guilty buying it. I wish I had seen pricing before the flight and/or understood if I could’ve gotten a discount for purchasing in advance. — Didn’t hav the snack I wanted...it’s a long 6 hour flight — I wish there were more food options."
Pros: "The agent in San Francisco was awesome and even went out of her way to bump me to a better seat. Leaving Portland was easy, crew were super organized!"
Cons: "No entertainment systems were working at all. Leaving San Francisco to kahului we had so many unruly young adults that were just out if control. They kept switching seats, spilling alcohol all over me and my stuff and the flight crew could not care less. We even had an older Asian flight attendant on flight 1749 that was just overwhelmed for the job. She would hand the person on the isle a handful of pretzels and say 'here, pass these out'. The other flight crew members made it worse by treating her poorly. You could tell they didn't like her and were agitated by her. Instead if being polite and educating, they were exasperated and impatient. Overall was super disappointed. I have flown United so many times back home to Maui and was always so please and excited to brag about how great United was. Not this time. Thanks for reading."
Pros: "The service and convenience was excellent. Straight forward and smooth transition throughout boarding and catching connecting flight"
Cons: "The piece of mind given to me by the staff with baggage and connecting to the other flight"
Pros: "overall very pleasant and relaxing food good able to sleep due to luckily extra space! very pleased"
Pros: "Chief flight attendant was nice and attentive."
Cons: "Our section of the plane was very warm. When we mentioned it to one of the attendants, she pointed to the overhead vents and told us to use them. (We already knew this and had them open all the way!) Then the chief flight attendant came by and she was VERY responsive and went to tell the pilots. It got a little better but still stayed on the warm side the rest of the way. Your boarding process makes no sense and does nothing to get passengers settled faster. After priority seating is done, let the people in the BACK of the plane board first, then the middle section passengers, then the Eco Plus passengers."
Pros: "We had an aisle each! The staff were friendly too."
Cons: "A slight delay"
Cons: "Our flight was delayed which caused us to miss our international connection. Flight attendants did not care, did not attempt to get us out faster, or put on a different flight. Asked for an announcement to be made on board or to be moved to seats closer to the front so we could get off the plane quicker, did not happen. Offboarded and sprinted across the airport for our international connection and was notified by gate attendents that the gate closed five minutes ago and that they could not let us on the plane. Meanwhile, the plane sat there for an additional 30 minutes while it fueled and waited for release from air traffic control. There were six travelers total stuck there in San Fran at that gate, all of us begging to be let on the plane to Beijing, the last one for over 24 hours. Zero compassion from staff at the the airline gate. They did not care about us and did not care about leaving their travelers stranded. Our total travel was Denver to Bangkok, 26 hours of travel including layovers in San Fran and Beijing. In San Fran (after missing the gate connection), United rerouted us through Haiwaii and the customer service agent that did this reroute did not finish the reroute to our final destination. We got to Haiwaii and were stranded again, at the United service desk for four hours having to once again provide documentation of our initial travel plans to Bangkok, having them build a new itinerary to our final destination. Overall, 20 additional travel hours have been added to our itinerary, almost double our initial travel time. We have had to call and cancel pre-arranged bookings in Thailand as we are now missing two full days off our trip. I am absolutely disappointed and heart broken as I write this still stuck in the Beijing airport waiting another six hours to connect to Bangkok. My fiancé and I were traveling to Thailand to get married and have received no compassion from anyone at this airline to try and get us there. I fly United for work quite frequently and have never experienced such horrendous service and lack of basic human compassion. I am flat out disgusted by United and will not be using them again, for personal travel or work related trips, because of this horrendous experience."
Pros: "Crew did a great job. Air China had much better food service."
Cons: "Seats two small, not enough room to stretch your legs. Bathroom to small. Designed for people less than 150lbs, and 5'-6" in height Not comfortable for people over 6' tall."
Pros: "No complaints here! The Air New Zealand staff were amazing. They did their jobs really well! They made everyone comfortable during the trip."
Pros: "A 3-hour stop over for the connection was not enough!!! The flight to San Francisco was delayed another 90 mins, causing me to miss my 15-hour flight to Singapore, although we arrived 10 minutes before the United Flight! Ten other passengers missed the flight! A travesty! Worse, with "no hotels available", I was rerouted to Chicago for a flight via Tokyo at 1300 the following day! In short, a 30-hour trip became 48 hours of hell and of course an 18-hour delaed arrival in Singapore. But there was more: my luggage was "lost" and thus arrived two days late!!!!! The only saving grace: friendly and helpful UA staff in San Francisco and especially in Chicago. Wow! I deserve some compensaton, wouldn't you all agree?"
Cons: "Please see above!"
Cons: "Everything was trerrible on this flight! We were delayed from our first connecting flight out to SF to LA and we're put on a different flight connecting to Houston to get us home sooner. We were told by the gentleman at the check in that our correct boarding passes with our seats sitting all together would be given to us at the boarding desk. That was the biggest mistake ever to take this flight because we were then delayed 3 more hrs! Not only that but when I approached the next gentleman at the boarding desk in Houston he was super rude! He was yelling at me when I told them that "they in Dallas, the worker at the check in" told me to get my boarding passes in Houston. He kept yelling saying "there was nothing he could do that he could do that he didn't know who THEY were but that I was talking to him now and that's why he is saying" I tried explaining to him that I just wanted to make sure I got in the right flight home because this is what I was told to do by the employee in Dallas. Not only that but our connecting flight to Houston was horrible! The flight attendant (the male) was very very rude!!! He also was yelling at my niece and nephew when we were trying to put the carry on bags in the compartment. And telling us we could have anything underneath the seat when clearly we could have our personal item underneath. Overall we had the worst experience with United and will never again fly with them! I understand delays may happen but there's no need for the employees to be so rude. so much for their customers service!"
Pros: "At boarding there were delays which the boarding personnel updated as they had information. After boarding flight crew passed out water while we waited on the tarmac for hours while a maintenance issue was reviewed. Safety protocols that had a engine issue looked at on the ground prior to putting us in the air. Curry chicken was good."
Cons: "Several issues that caused this flight to be late. Part of the issue was the plane was not available to be in the gate on time. The longest delay was on the tarmac for over 2 hours as an engine was analyzed. Does this suggest need for more regular maintenance? I don't know. Given the delays I think United could have done more in recognition of the delay to its customers on the flight such as not charging for some of the services they normally charge for like wifi access and such. As it was I was delayed on both legs of my trip by a minimum of an hour. United should do better."
Pros: "The male flight attendant who was in the rear respectfully listened to me."
Cons: "The United passenger agent that talked to me at the gate when the other one, who was scanning the boarding passes put me on the side because I could not board with two items was disrespectful. She used a discriminating tone and embarrassed me in front of other people. She made it sound as if it were a shame to purchase a cheap ticket. She was arguing with another passenger before helping me over the same subject, so when I tried to explain that the smallest backpack was almost empty and fit inside the other, she was impatient, upset ignored me and was already demanding my credit card with the bag tag in her hand rushing me. I paid extra $60.00 after I had paid $25,00 for the first bag when I could have put the flexible kipling inside the Jansport if she had listened to me. The flight delayed after I was unable to defend myself and paid an unfair feer."
Pros: "I liked that the captain communicated with the passengers about delays and the reasons for the delays over the intercom."
Cons: "I feel that I was treated by the employees at the boarding desk and by the customer service attendants as if I were garbage!!!! I was attempting to purchase an upgrade in my seating to avoid very uncomfortable swelling on my right ankle and other personal reasons. As I inquired with the man at the boarding gate about purchasing the upgrade I was told that there were none available. So I pulled out my tablet with the united airlines app and showed him the image of the empty business class seat that I would like to purchase on the seating map available in the app. He told me that he had no option on his computer screen to sell me the seat. I asked him where could I go or who could I ask to get the seat. This back and forth continued for some time where he kept saying he could not sell me the seat but I would then say, “I understand that, but do you know who can or where I can go to find someone who knows where I can buy an upgrade?” The attendant got VERY VERY upset that I was even ASKING. As if I were asking for some OUTRAGEOUS request!! I asked to speak with the manager several times. He continued by ignoring me and just saying NO! Finally he pointed to some lady beside him. I don't know if she was the manager or not, but she was on the phone and barely gave ten seconds of a glance to the situation. He asked me"Are you gonna go or not?" I could tell that he cared absolutely nothing about me or my request and was extremely dismissive in asking me this. Finally, he dismissively told me to ask the flight attendant. I could tell that this young man would be of no further help AT ALL, so I gave my ticket, went on board and thought to just try and ask a flight attendant. Right before I went to give my ticket to the man who was taking tickets, I heard the boarding gate man walk away mumbling how ANNOYING I was in Chinese. I know this because I SPEAK Chinese. This is HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I continued to go on board hoping the flight attendants might actually have some information. When I asked, who I thought was the flight attendant, about purchasing a seat, it turns out that she was the customer service agent on the flight, she gave no effort to even try to hear what I was communicating to her. I know about communication and as a public speaking instructor, I know how to listen and to speak. She continued to raise her voice and talk over me, although I remained very calm and tried talking to her logically. I tried to communicate to her that I was attempting to purchase one of the empty business class seats that I had seen were empty. I checked the seating of the flight from the united airlines app before I had even boarded the plane. The lady continued to be very rude and uncaring. She talked over me, did not listen, her responses did not make sense, she very loudly kept asking me " CAN YOU UNDERSTAND THAT??" as if I was a child or as if I was confrontational when I absolutely was not. I noticed I had been trying to communicate for a while.wordlimit"
Pros: "Luggage bag broken by baggage handlers"
Cons: "Luggage bag broken by baggage handlers"
Pros: "Customer service was very professional even after dealing with MANY delayed customers."
Cons: "First leg delayed as was the flight getting there. Had to rebook flying all night on 3 flights with 2 children. My daughter saw that second original flight out of San Francisco was also delayed. We went back to customer service and got back on our original flight arriving home later than planned but if we hadn't of noticed it we would gave been 4 hours later getting in and transferring from 3 planes. Blamed on sf construnction...why would you 's hedule a flight into an area that is under construction. Huge delays of all planes really made me wonder what the heck united is doing. No confidence!"
Pros: "More important than the trip home last Wednesday was the reason for the trip. We attended my granddaughter's wedding. Everything else was secondary. Even if the trip had been in a one wheeled barrow, it would have been good. To get to what you want which is the mechanics of the trip. The two people who attended to the aisle chair, most teams were competent. Some hadn't done many passengers so they were fumbling with the straps. I've learned that I almost alway have to ask for one at the gate where they check or issue, (what's it called, loading permits, some kind of pass, not landing pass. loading pass. I can't remember and my wife has gone to bed.) Well, they have to come up with an aisle chair because I've only got 1 1/2 legs. I always make it to the seat on the plane, but the competency of the various crews is uneen. Sorry my answer is so nonspecific but I don't remember one airline from another. Great people all, get the job done."
Cons: "Not much I don't like. They get us there That is the main thing. Sometimes when the plane stops after it has pulled away from the Jet Way, the pilot gives an explanation that I find unfulfilling, not enough details. I suppose if they explained more, other fliers would find the explanation too verbose. I can live with it. Again this is about all flights and airlines. Nothing stands out, such as, " this awful thing happened when we left San Francisco.""
Pros: "Really pleasant flight. New plane I think - no window shades, it's tinted windows that change colors! They came by many times to offer water, pick up trash. We even got ice cream for dessert! Also, I have a special meal which they brought correctly (have had airlines mess it up which is crummy on a long plane ride). Also, great in flight entertainment on the screens (no need to use personal devices), lots of recent movies like Guardians of the Galaxy and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them. Was also surprised to find guided meditations from Headspace which helped me get to sleep! Overall, loved it and would definitely fly again."
Cons: "My bag did not show up at my destination, but I think it will soon. I like that their automated system is sending updates every 6 hours and I can call anytime as well. Fingers crossed it turns up :)"
Pros: "Nonstop BNA-SFO"
Cons: "United Economy Plus bulkhead was awful. I was seated in seat 7D - there was no bulkhead for me or middle seat - just a curtain. The screens and tiny pockets were only accessible over another passenger. The seat stuck out into the aisle so I was bumped by 200 other passengers at least once - not to mention the flight crew. Finally I had my emotional support dog with me and the crew told me I should. It be in that seat - the seat was assigned by the United Accessibikity Desk as a good one for a service animal - and I had zero choice in the matter. Baggage claim at SFO took over 45 minutes to start -I was home in San Francisco in only 20 minutes after getting my bag."
Cons: "1. Comfort: the headrest on these seats is so uncomfortable! It just props your head forward and causes a lot of neck strain. For most short haul flights, this is not a big deal, but it really makes for an unpleasant journey on the cross-country flights. Also, the four-seat middle section is so poorly designed. There is no way to store personal items under seats without invading the space of your neighbor because the metal frame supporting the row of seats doesn't match with the seats themselves. 2. Entertainment: United could not support continuous streaming of movies/TV shows for every passenger. My movie paused and froze so frequently that I gave up on finishing it and then felt like I had wasted my time. The speed and reliability reminded me of trying to watch movies on a dialup connection. It would be so much better to just have the TV screens built into the seats. All in all, United got a bad batch of planes and should try to take this into consideration when working with Boeing/Airbus on the next order."
Pros: "Flash for mac did not install"
Cons: "I felt like I was on my way to my death"
Pros: "Really friendly staff, communicative, helpful. Gave good directions. Plenty of leg room on flight."
Cons: "Beyond the control of United, but LAX is a nightmare of an airport. Traffic control caused delays, airport staff more of a hindrance than helpful. Border control mumbling and barking orders at people like they're cattle. Not the best way to welcome tourists, but at least United Airlines crew made up for it with their smiles."
Pros: "The flight was not full, so we had extra space."
Cons: "First, UA flight attendant forgot to serve us (and few more sitting on the same area) lunch. By the time we asked why we are not served, we didn't have a choice, but to take whatever left. Second, we had about only 1 - 1 1/2 hours of in-flight entertainment available in Economy class out of 10 1/2 hour flight. Of course, entertainment was available for first, business and premier class. Why? Satellite problem supposedly. Third, ok. There was a entertainment on a big screen in the front. However, system on the armrest was not working. What's the point? My husband and I have been in long distance flight over 25 year with various airline companies, BUT THIS UNITED FLIGHT WAS ONE OF THE WORST FLIGHT EVER. When I booked this vacation, I chose Lufthansa on purpose as I know their quality of service and professionalism. I didn't notice that the return flight was a code share with UA. Only thing they can say was that they can provide us more mileage as a compensation if we write to UA on their website... We had a great vacation until were on this flight."
Cons: "EVERYTHING. My flight was originally scheduled for 650p. I understand that weather can cause delays. That's OK. However, the flight departure kept getting shifted. We ended up boarding for a 9:58p departure. I was told there was no more overhead space for my bag and forced to check it. When I got on the plane at 930p, there was clearly enough overhead room for my bag. I'm not sure why I was forced to check it. We then sat from 930p to 958p. We pulled away from the gate and then were told that we had to wait another 20 min. We turned off the engine and then waited until sometime between 1130-45 ON THE AIRPLANE on the runway. Is this even legal?? We finally took off and landed at 115a PST. I waited for 35 min for my bag that they forced me to check. They loaded our bags onto the wrong carousel, which caused all of us to be waiting for our bags in the wrong place for 10 minutes. This was the worst experience I've ever had flying. It wasn't the delay but the lack of clarity, being forced to sit on that plane for hours, and having my bag taken. I got to the airport in Denver at 550p PST and got home to SF at 3a PST for a 2 hour flight."
Pros: "The first plane had enough leg room"
Cons: "That the plane needed to be changed due to something being wrong with it. On our flight from cancun, Mexico to SFO we had to stop in Houston to change planes. One of the guys working at the security check point was very mean, raising his voice to people, grabbing their and also my stuff out of their hands, some of my stuff fell on the floor and got stuck in the rolling thingies. I hope I found all of it, not sure. I'm not sure how this happened, shouldn't planes be checked thoroughly before heading out!?!? This all is a big mess and very upsetting (literally just cried for 20 minutes). Sincerely, Sabrina Jungclaus S.firstname.lastname@example.org"
Cons: "I don't think it's fair that you don't any money back of you cancel your plane ticket. It shouldn't matter what type of ticket it was. You should at least be allowed a voucher for the amount of the ticket at a later date. Even if it's a percentage off, you should be allowed something. How is it that you can buy a car worth thousands, and be allowed to return it under the Lemon Law. When a company called can make billions of dollars doing this, it's just taking advantage of the little people."
Pros: "These days we can all admit flying is not what it used to be before 9/11. It's still professional and curtious, but the awareness and appreciation of passengers has dwindled. Stewards and stewardesses go through the motions and do just what they need to do not more. The pilots got the plane to its destination well within the time sometimes even a half an hour early. But sometimes being that early means sitting on the tarmac for 40 minutes which cut it close to missing my next flight. Flights used to offer blankets if passengers were cold. If the plane is not full they do allow passengers to move seats to be more comfortable. The complementary beverage is still always a nice touch but seconds aren't offered and cups are often taken before they're finished. It would be nice to see our country's airlines go back to a little more awareness and appreciation for one another, and work to improving their levels to above satisfactory. The flight was supposed to have entertainment viewable on personal devices but going through the app to select something was told this flight didn't have access. Overall it was satisfactory."
Cons: "It was a little too cold on the plane. Blankets weren't offered. The food while it looked delicious needed to be warmed and the only option was coffee for warming it."
Cons: "I cannot believe United Airlines flies an 11-hour international flight and does not provide each seat with an individual television for entertainment. I fly quite frequently and EVERY other international flight has individual televisions. It made the experience long and horrible. I am a minimalist and travel with as few items as possible. So even though United offered me the ability to use my own device, I don't have one! Also, the instructions to download the app before take off was not clear. During the entire flight, I kept getting the message "no internet connection; unable to connect to satellite." So I couldn't even use my phone. Very annoying and I will never fly United for international flights again."
Cons: "Heavily delayed, kept getting later"
Pros: "The seats looked new."
Cons: "United had us board and unboard and then board again due to flight delays. United also told us the delay would be only 40 minutes, but I looked at the delay in SFO and it was 2 hours. Eventually United also increased our delay by 30 minute intervals until it was about 2 hours. Once I arrivied in SFO I got a text message notification stating my luggage had been put on an incorrect flight and I would have to return to get my luggage. The attendants at the podium were rude. This was my first terrible flying experience ever."
Pros: "Absolutely nothing! My flight was scheduled for takeoff at 8:15 pm on Wednesday.I boarded my flight on two different occasions only to be informed that there were mechanical issues.that first delayed & eventually cancelled my flight. I was kept waiting and inconvenienced until 5am, when I was finally offered an alternate 12noon flight later that day as well as a comped room at a nearby hotel. My time is very valuable & limited and because of this experience my itinerary was adversely affected. I will be hard pressed to ever fly United again. Michael Aponte- Very Disappointed!"
Cons: "Please read above comments"
Cons: "Lack of communication. Kept us belted down for s very long time. Lacked food service, lacked water service till the very end of the lock down. Then we were given the option to leave the plane as the doors were to be disarmed. But if we did the plane could get clearence and leave with no warning. I missed my connecting transportation, had to scrape my weekend plans, currently searching for a place to stay tonight while they locate my bag. I am cold and left my jacket in my bag. The United counter people are blaming it on the weather. I am sure everything was delayed by the laxadaysical baggage loader. The one person ( or lack of help loading the bags on the plane completely altered my travel plans. I requested assistance for hotel only to be told they are full when in fact several are vacant on the Internet. I should of videotaped the baggage loading in Canada, it would of went viral."
Pros: "The attendants were very kind, polite and efficient"
Cons: "1) Seats barely recline beyond 90 degrees. 2) person behind me had knees jamming against my seat the entire flight. 3) Food was unimpressive. was on British Airways a week before and it was great. 4) Paying for cocktails on a long haul flight is absurd. 5) Instructed to "download a ridiculous app" for entertainment. 6) I couldn't get WiFi in the airport to function!!! so was at a loss. I was traveling overseas for God's sake. IN a foreign country. 7) Outlet to plug my power sources for mobile devices into was not functioning."
Pros: "The flight was mostly on time (only 20 minutes late)"
Cons: "- Personal entertainment on United is false advertising -- unacceptable for a 10+ hour international flight. Namely, even if one happens to carry an appropriate personal device, the system was near impossible to connect to (none in our row were able to connect with a variety of smartphone, tablet, and laptop devices until most of the plane went to sleep. When we did connect, the streaming was so choppy it was nearly unwatchable. Then if you didn't run out of battery (plugs were not reachable under other passengers), the wifi went down completely for the rest of the flight). - Boarding was confusing (need to get a TSA sticker wasn't clearly communicated, nor when or how to get one). - Most flight attendants were rude to most passengers (not a personal experience, just an observation). - Economy seats felt half the size of those on the Lufthansa operated inbound flight"
"Never happened. Plane left while we where waiting for a gate. Poor planing at its best. And all you can do is a 10 dollars for a meal for a person who's flight was delayed twice and was left at the airport because of your negligence not weather."
"Frontier seems to be trying to be a good airline. Gate communication and baggage checkin are weak communication points."
"The boarding staff were rude, and the in flight staff consistantly peddled their credit card"
"Changed gates and didn’t make announcement for those already in airport on layover. I missed the flight and have to purchase another flight and stay over in the city missing work"
Pros: "Because I was unwilling to pay for seat selection, I was prepared to be separated from my husband and stuck in a middle seat. To my pleasant surprise, the agents put us in the same row by ourselves."
Cons: "Better directional signage in both the SFO and Las Vegas airports (arrivals). Las Vegas is a huge airport, requiring a tram to get to the passenger pick-up, even with directions it was confusing and not obvious. In SFO, half the plane walked halfway down the concourse in the wrong direction because of lack of signage and it looks like the right way to go. Drop Kiwi as a third-party for domestic flights, their customer service is clueless, handling charges absurd and flight requirements unnecessary."
Cons: "Crew could be better They should keep one seat distance between two customers They could serve basic packed drinks but there was nothing It’s not that they were not serving but they started charging"
Cons: "My experience was ver good. I think the Crew for frontier did a great job. There was so Many people checking in. They got everyone Throw check in and to there flights"
Pros: "Clean, on time, reasonable"
Cons: "do not sell the middle seats"
Pros: "Flight wasn’t bad for what I paid for. One MUST definitely do his/her homework before flying to be prepared for all of the extra costs, etc... I was glad I did and was prepared with my own food, neck pillow, etc. I didn’t expect much in terms of creature comforts and therefore wasn’t disappointed. There isn’t much space in the cabin, so I was glad to have my 6-year old in between us 2 adults. Crew was pleasant r and professional. Ticket agent was helpful if a bit “assertive”. I probably won’t try to book them for long flights, but for short flights their fine"
Cons: "The tiny space and small seats!"
Pros: "The stewardess' were professional and friendly"
Cons: "The flight was delayed, the captain stuck in traffic, and they boarded the plane in the Florida heat without having the AC on. A real health hazard! At first they said that it had to be the captain who could turn it on. He wasn't even in the airport yet! It wasn't until I complained about concern for my child's safety that they called for someone to plug it in. The flight price seems like a bargain, but the individual charges for bags and seat assignments feel tricky and in the end doesn't make this a deal. The comfort on the plane is horrible. If I would have known the seats were unpadded, and the tray tables worthless I would never have booked this flight. My husband couldn't work on his computer as the tray table is miniscule. I have never flown this airline and will never again. There were multiple places in our row that had gum stuck on the floor. Gross. Never again Frontier."
Cons: "They didn't know how to handle the unpleasant situation of having delay due to "the plane is having some problems and they will try to fix it asap before departure"."
Cons: "Flight delayed 7 hours. Called the airline after receiving a flight delayed text, and before heading to the airport, and was told to get there by 5pm because the flight may leave on time. Departed at 2am on a Sunday night instead of 7pm. Was told 3 different stories for the delay. Departing airport weather, although blue skies and all other planes taking off on time; plane arriving from an airport that had grounded all flights when Frontier was departing to said airport as they reported this story, mechanical failure, etc. Took a picture of the departures board where all other airlines were departing on time to all locations. Asked if food vouchers would be provided and told, "no". Then vouchers were provided 2 MINUTES before all restaurants in the airport closed. The vouchers had a print time of 4 hours earlier. They would not rebook on another airline and would only rebook on Frontier 3 days later. Zero customer service. Employees were rude and complaining that they had to work late while their customers would be arriving home at 5am after booking a flight that would have allowed time to sleep before work. This is on top of no carry-ons, entertainment, or even water on the cramped, packed flight."
Pros: "Boarding was fine. So there's that."
Cons: "No one was available to deal with missing luggage. Took more than 45 minutes after carousel stopped spitting out bags for us to find an employee who'd talk to us. They couldn't find proper forms, so they jotted down our info on scrap paper. Made no effort to clarify where the bags had gone. When we asked what to do if the bags remain MIA, we were told "there's a number to call" – it took three requests to get them to provide that number. They even lost a gate-checked stroller, which is very sloppy and a huge inconvenience for the passenger. The employees we dealt with were uninformed, unconcerned, and unprofessional. Airport worker at nearby info desk says she sees this scenario play out all the time. I will not fly them again."
Pros: "Ticket prices were initially really low."
Cons: "Everything else about my experience with frontier. They nickle and some you at every corner. When you go to pick a seat that'll cost you $5-$25 per seat. Then you're looking at $35 per checked bag $40 PER CARRYON. The only time I have ever paid for a carryon bag. No complimentary water/beverages/snacks. The seats are hard plastic with very little padding and no reclining. The tray table is smaller than your average tablet. On our departing flight we sat on the tarmac for well over an hour with no explanation. Horrible customer service all around. I will never be flying frontier again."
Cons: "First I bought a ticket from Spirit Airlines SFO to MCO for 309$, then I saw charges from frontier Airline, frontier airlines bought a ticket for me too for 287$, when I was just watching checking the price. Then I compared the tickets, both the time, but from Frontier Airlines was cheaper then I stayed with frontier and cancel the other reservation from Spirit Airlines the next day I see frontier airlines also cancelled that reservation and I had to rebook another ticket for 496$, the price went up, then I had to pay 187$ extra, IT WAS A FRAUD JOB FROM FRONTIER AIRLINES, I can prove everything above with the receipts and the dates on it, the worse experience I had"
Pros: "First off I've never flied on Frontier before. I've heard some pretty negative things about Frontier but booked a flight anyways because 1) it was 1/2 the cost of any other airline for the dates I wanted 2) it was a non stop from SFO to MCO so how bad could it be. It was absolutely horrible and enough to convince me to never book a flight on Frontier again. Here's some things that you should know if you've never flown Frontier before. They charge $25 for carry on bags and $30 for a checked bag as long as you purchase ahead of time. If you show up at the airport and pay there then the cost for a carry on is $50 and a checked bag is $60. You are allowed to bring a personal bag for free as long as it's not bigger than 18x14x8 and that's what I did. You can't choose a seat on Frontier unless you're willing to pay an additional $12-$42 so you essentially get whatever they give you. The plane was an A319 but the most stripped down version that an airline could probably purchase. The seats don't recline and it's basically a plastic seat lined with fabric. Extremely uncomfortable to say the least. The employees for Frontier across the board are very unprofessional and rude, at first I just thought it was an isolated incident but the more contact and interaction I had with Frontier's employees the quicker I realized that it's company wide the level of unprofessionalism exhibited. If you want a snack or anything to drink including water you better be ready to pay a premium, so it was a rough 5 hour flight. On the way out of SFO my plane was delayed over 3 hours. When I asked about the delay they said it was weather. The funny part was that only Frontier flights were delayed. Flying back my plane was supposed to depart at 6:55pm but we actually didn't depart until 11:15pm. Lesson learned and I know that for me I'll pay the extra money to fly with a carrier that I have experience with that better caters to my traveling needs."
Cons: "The flight was delayed 5 hours, and we were offered a $100 voucher that would be emailed to us immediately after the flight takes off. I approached the desk to verify with an employee pre-boarding to ensure I will receive this voucher. She was annoyed with me from the start repeatedly saying it will be emailed after takeoff, which was NOT my question. My question was to verify that the email on file was correct. She had a very hard time getting this to her head. However, it has been over a week and I have yet to receive this voucher. Unless, I receive this voucher I will never recommend this airline."
Pros: "Arrived 40 minutes early so can't be too sad about that especially since a gate was available immediately. Jet bridge in SF was heated but in Denver where it was colder and he had to wait it was not. The check in lady clearly did not care about her job at all I'm Denver. Frontier is a budget airline which for this trip worked for me as I was able to pack everything in a "personal item" and don't mind sitting in the back of the plane, I got lucky and got asigned a window seat. No drinks offeed without a charge which I don't agree with but again you get what you pay for. And it's way better than Spirit."
Pros: "Crew was pleasant"
Cons: "They charge for: a checked bag, a CARRY-ON bag, and your seat choice. There is no on-flight entertainment. The seats don't recline. The check-in counter has massive lines of people and is clearly understaffed. The gate is frequently empty and abandoned with zero people to answer your questions. Flights are late without good reason. Gate agents are understaffed, uninformed, and frazzled. Gate changes were poorly communicated and disorganized. Frontier management and leadership: you should be embarrassed."
Pros: "The crew."
Cons: "My first flight was canceled without notice, it was a 1:30AM flight. Had to sleep in the check in area of the airport until we could get our next overpriced tickets that will not be taken care of by their 3 options they give you. This shouldn't have been placed as the cheapest tickets available with out big red warnings that it is only cheap if you have no bags. $40 more would have given me free check in bags and a far better in flight experience on another airline. Spread the word to never fly Frontier."
Pros: "What did I like? A safe and smooth flight from San Fran to Chicago and back."
Cons: "The seats are cramped and don't recline. I'm an average weight and height and normally don't have such a hard time resting despite long flights, but both flights were uncomfortable. In addition, the flight from Chicago to San Francisco was HOT and no drinks are offered without payment - everything on Frontier is extra $$$ - a bit of a turn off. I'm an avid Southwest customer and I think I will be going back to them even if the flight 'seems' cheaper when searching Kayak. I appeciate you asking about my experience. I love Kayak, but won't be flying Frontier again. I'd rather spend up to $200 more for Southwest to get: comfy seats, free bags, cabin temperature comfort, on time flights, drinks and snacks. It's worth it."
Cons: "They charge for everything, even carry-on! If you don't tell them you have a carry-on, they will charge an additional 20$ on top of the $40 for the regular charge. They charged me even to make a check-in online and assign a seat. Only water is served in the plane and if you want soda you gotta pay for it. Ridiculous! The counter crew are rude and seemed overworked. The airplane seats DO NOT lean back and they have no foam, only a hard piece of leather covering the metal seats. They put their price very low on the travel websites and get you that way. Later on the fine prints (which no one ever reads, btw), they state that there are extra charges for everything else. I am surprised that they didn't charge me to breath inside the plane! Im Chocked!"
Cons: "The price was good, before you realized the price was a lie and they scam you by charging $45 to carry on or $40 to check a bag! That meant the overhead space was unused and they were just charging more just to be inconvenient. The plane was stripped barebones. The crew were rude, did not smile, and gave me attitude for hitting my elbow with the drink cart. They charge for even getting a soft drink. Nothing about the experience said "we're serving you." It's worse flying a more expensive airline because the rediculous bag fees make it just as expensive and even things that should be free like pleasant staff were lacking."
Pros: "nothing! the flight attendants were nice!"
Cons: "only three rows of seats recline! the most uncomfortable flight ever! I thought (ALL) airlines would have all their seats except exit row seats recline? especially on a cross country flight! my girlfriend said she never had to pay for a soda on an aircraft! I have no problem paying for checked bags, but for a carry-on, I have never heard of that until I flew Frontier this weekend. JUST NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH FRONTIER AIRLINES! my girlfriend will be filling out either this survey or your facebook page? we thought we were the only folks complaining, but felt a little better when people seated around us had the same complaints! I have never complained about an airline before this."
Pros: "I liked that the plane flew safely."
Cons: "Both my flights were delayed which caused a lot of inconvenience given that this was a short trip and time was of the essence. The second time I kindly approached the counter to ask if a drink ticket or free wifi could be extended as a courtesy. The woman at the counter was snarky to me and made under her breath comments as I walked away. I understand now that frontier does not have wifi but she was very rude. I think this was the tipping point for me. I was trying to be ok with the unexpected charge for a carry on. I think letting passengers know in advance would serve in Frontier's best interest since this is an incredibly unusual charge and one I have never heard of from any other airline. The people at the counter who explained this to me as I checked in were also rude and snarky. I felt that Frontier provided absolutely nothing past a the actual flight. The seats dont recline, not even a centimeter, the tray tables are too small to place a drink and a sandwich on it and it seemed every Frontier flight in the airport was delayed. The icing on the cake is how nasty the customer service people were. I've experienced rudeness from other airlines before, but at least we landed on time and I didnt suffer back pain for 2 days afterwards from the incredibly cheap lawn chair style seats. Please improve your service. I know your whole bit is you wont provide any amenities so you can pass down the savings to the customer but it's not really a cheaper flight if when you get there you have to pay an extra $60-80 for a carry on?! Grow your company, provide outstanding service and pay your employees enough that they dont behave like they're at a dive bar. On the upside I do believe the pilot was sober."
Cons: "I didnt like the fact that I couldn't talk to someone here in the United states for frontier. I didn't like that when I called customer service I was instructed to do the wrong thing and fill out the wrong form. And most of all I really hated that my flight was cancelled and my money put into a "shell credit" and when I went to re book the fight it cost 3 times the amount than I originally paid. Overall this has been a horrible experience and I will be tell everyone I know and even people I don't know via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and snap chat about my experience . Overall I feel your service and your service provider failed miserably."
Cons: "You risk losing the flight unless you pay additional fees to select a seat in advance. If you do risk getting your seat assigned at the gate (no fee), you MUST be first to the gate to get your seat assignment because they far oversell the flight. Interestingly, they seem to intentionally punish people who avoid the seat assignment fees in this way. My evidence for this is when my husband and I were first in line at the gate for a seat assignment, the agent said that there were no seats together and gave us seats far apart. However, the girl behind us in line ended up sitting next to me, meaning that the agent purposefully seated my husband and I apart. In addition to all this, you must pay for SODA. And there is no entertainment, as the seats are thin plastic and squished as close together as possible. Consequently, the seats have laughably small tray tables. In summary, I will never fly Frontier again."
Cons: "1. They charge for every little thing. Each checked bag is $25.00 and each carry on is $35.00. They also charge you for a seat. So once you purchase your ticket, you then have to pay an additional fee to seat down. 2. The staff is unprofessional. Not only does everyone look sloppy, but the staff is comprised of individuals that don't care at all about customers and have been poorly trained. The quality is very low. 3. I was hit and then verbally abused by a gentlemen on the plane, they laughed and did nothing!!!!! 4. They only allow 15 bags on their plane! After 15, they will move your bags to a different plane without telling you. What kind of nonsense is that?!"
Pros: "Everything was awful"
Cons: "If I could give this rating a 0 stars, I would. I never plan on flying with this airline again. The attendant was extremely rude at the beginning when I tried to check in and I almost had to miss my flight because she was trying to charge me for a bag that was a carry on (charge me triple the amount) and that fit perfectly on the overhead, I even took a picture. She was extremely rude and unprofessional and put a hold in my account trying to get me to miss my flight. Luckily, the attendant at the boarding gate was already having a bad day due to the incompetence of his fellow coworkers and just let me go on. It was horrible. 0 stars, worst airline and flight ever"
Cons: "I will never fly this airline again! The tix appear significantly cheaper on kayak, so we drove 2 hours out of our way to ATL in the early morning hours thinking it was saving $$$. Only to find at check in that it cost more to bring a small carry on than to pay for it to be checked! It was a west coast flight and it didn't even include a beverage in flight!!! No snack either. Thumbs down. It was certainly NOT worth the inconvenience of driving out of the way, and we didn't save any $ after all. The staff was not that friendly, at it took 30 mins for the frontier baggage carousel to even start up to get the heck out of there. Never again. If it seems too good a deal, it is!"
Pros: "The flight staff was really nice and provided excellent customer service :-) I felt sorry for them that they had to work for such an incompetent airline and field so many customer complaints."
Cons: "In response to Frontier's survey question, "How could we serve you better?" Be more transparent about your hidden costs, and be sure there is a gate available when you land. There were delays coming and going. In Denver we sat on the runway for at least 20 minutes before we found a gate and could get off the plane. In SF we sat on the runway for over an hour (!) with the engines running. My throat was sore from breathing carbon monoxide fumes. The friend who came to pick me up in SF was kept two hours past her bed time because that was the totally amount of delay. To add insult to injury, you had the nerve to CHARGE for coffee, and worse I paid $160 in baggage fees round trip, making you MORE expensive than competitors, not less like it appears when you buy the ticket. I did try to look up your baggage policies on line and by phone (which referred me to the website and gave no option to speak to a person), and it was not easy. The only information I found before I lost my patience was that we would be charged more if our bags exceeded certain limits. The original charge was cryptic and hard, if not impossible, to find. We were told both coming and going about staffing shortages and employees calling in sick. If you treat your employees like you treat your customers, no wonder they don't want to come to work! Not only will I NOT recommend Frontier to my friends, but I will go out of my way to DISCOURAGE them from flying your airline."
Pros: "I booked Frontier for the low price. But after going to a farther away airport and paying for bags and seats and drinks and sitting in an uncomfortable seat, I am not so sure it was a great deal. I am happy that I did pay less than other airlines even with the cost of checking a bag (less cost than carrying one one) and for the seat. Because it is more costly to carry on a bag, hardly anyone did leaving lots of room in the overhead compartments and speeding up boarding and deplaning considerably. Snacks and drinks were reasonably priced and lower cost than in the airport. Only snacks like chips and beef jerky are available so if you want food, bring your own. Flight attendants were friendly. My bag arrived on the same flight that I did and it was in good condition. We were reasonably close to on time."
Cons: "Seats are short front to back and don't recline. There was barely enough room between seats to force by backpack down to the floor and almost no room on the floor to hold it leaving me with no where to put my feet except on top of it. My legs are long and about 1/2 of my leg was not supported by the seat. This was manageable for a short flight but I would certainly not book a long flight with these seats. We spent considerable time on the tarmac waiting at both ends. I am not clear on the delay at the beginning of each flight. The delay at the end was related to Frontier only having 1 gate at each airport so we had to wait until it was free. Yes, we landed 20 minutes ahead of time, but we got into the gate 20 minutes late - meaning sitting on the tarmac for 40 minutes. Bags were slow to come up. Probably because everyone checked them so there were many."
Cons: "Boarding - people who sit up front go first meaning that those that have seats in the back have to go in past people who are still in the aisles arranging themselves. I could not get a drink of water without paying. Is it really that esxpensive to give a coke and some peanuts??? Paying for seat selection means that some people get in the seats other peoiple want (like window seats) who don't want them. I tryly believe that Frontier is the nickel and diming airline. And I don't believe you had to wait for a gate and 11:30 at night."
Pros: "Easy check-in."
Cons: "Hidden charges for carry-on luggage was an unpleasant last minute surprise and added an unwarranted $55 to the cost of the flight. Had I known the flight really wasn't the advertised price, I would have picked another carrier because their price would have included everything. Frontier seems to charge for every little thing but the air you breathe in the cabin. I suppose that will be next. Frontier used to be really good and now it is aging planes, unhelpful staff, and nickel and diming their passengers to death. Next time we will fly with another carrier."
Pros: "That they got me to my destination safely."
Cons: "This airline is a joke. Shame on me for booking late and choosing the cheapest ticket. BUT knowing what I now know, I would have selected the Delta flight for $80 more. Here's why: No TSA Pre-Check. This aspects alone is a deal breaker. Pay for carry-on bag AND IT COSTS $40. Pay for beverages, snacks. Seats don't recline - "pre-reclined for your maximum comfort." Whatever Tray table is metal and tiny. You couldn't even fit an iPad mini on it, let alone a lap top. So, I put my MacBook on my lap to work, but it's uncomfortable, MacBook slides off. You're hitting the person next to you with your elbows. AND I have to take off my jacket, to protect my MacBook against hitting the metal tray table, so I got cold. No internet. It's 2016. No internet. It's 2016. Never again."
Cons: "Worker at the gate was not friendly at all but crew on board was better. I had my 83 year old mother traveling with me & the cramped seating was a little too aggressive. After everyone boarded, they were still trying to sell some of the empty extra legroom seats and I feel at that point they could have sold them at a bargain. I hated to rate Entertainment a 2 but there wasn't any at all. Ive been flying Frontier for about 6 years and it's a shame they now charge for carryons and have been charging for seating for awhile. I'm sure I will fly frontier again in the near future but I feel that the extra charges took a lot away from the excitement of obtaining a good deal. The pilot seemed very competent and friendly."
Pros: "overall the aircraft and schedule was ok"
Cons: "Our luggage did not arrive at our destination. It was an absolute nightmare to get it back!! I had to call the airline about 50 times, where most of the calls were not answered. I had to keep calling and following up. When the luggage did come they only delivered one of the 2 pieces. The calling marathon had to be resumed most of which went unanswered! We finally had to rely on the delivery company to provide alternate numbers where there was a possibility to get an answer. Absolute nightmare!!! Never never will I travel this airline."
Cons: "I was helping my mother - in - law check in and board - she needed wheel chair assistance. We were in line to drop off a bag that we had checked in online an hour before the flight. There were 5 people in the line with only 2 reps helping. Since I hadn't printed the boarding pass, I tried to print the pass at the self-help kiosks getting the message that I needed to see an agent. The cut-off for checked in baggage is 45 mins before the flight, however the reps were making no effort to expedite the service. In 15 mins they had helped 2 people making us the 3rd in line and the line had grown to an additional 5-6 people behind us. 45 mins before the flight they refused to take in any bags for checking - in. Since I was able to take the checked in bag with me, I asked that the agent print the boarding pass for my mother in law and call for wheel chair assistance. The agent called for wheel chair assistance but refused to print the boarding pass! The one thing that the ticketing / check in agent should be able to do is to print a boarding pass for a reservation that is fully paid. Because of this my mother in law had to miss her flight and we paid an additional $99 to get onto the next flight. I was so taken aback when the agent refused to print the boarding pass, that I did not even know how to convince her to do her job. This is probably the worst experience I have ever had with any airline!"
Pros: "Both flights were on time. There was no difficulty with boarding, everything proceeded in an orderly manner with no untoward delays."
Cons: "Misleading information regarding carry-on baggage. Extra charge if I assigned myself a seat when I printed my boarding pass the night before the flight. Extra charge for every, little, thing. $1.99 for 3-4 ounces of Coke. 3-4 ounces of warm water with no ice. Seats that did not adjust. Minimal service from the flight attendants. On early morning flights (both of mine departed at 6 a.m.), when everyone was snoozing as well as they could, a flight attendant came on the VERY LOUD pa system with a commercial trying to get us to apply for the Frontier credit card. I will AVOID flying on Frontier in the future, and use it only as a last resort when I can't get a flight on ANY other airline (as was the case with this last-minute, necessary flight). It is the first time in over 30 years of flying that I had a BAD experience."
Pros: "Very nice crew. Arrived early. Modern spiffy cabin, seats are molded on backs so a bit more room for passengers. I loved being able to add a tip on food bill, a way of expressing appreciation for the crew has been missing for too long."
Cons: "Seats don't recline! I think my back started to hurt because I couldn't change seat; standing up helped. There's no charge for carrying on personal items but I saw a family with personal size shopping bags that was shocked to learn that a carry on suitcase wasn't a personal item and woul cost $60 (can that be right?). I tried to help them and could see that their English wasn't too strong. They hadn't understood the clear written rules and were severely punished to the point of crying - they won't fly Frontier again."
Pros: "The flight was very smooth and the crew was very courteous."
Cons: "I also don't understand having to pay for your carry-on. At least make the first one free. I understand it's more along the lines of weight for the plane and which would affect the amount of fuel but that should all be calculated when they review the passenger manifest and assume that people have at least one carry-on and then adjust fuel accordingly for people who want to bring more than one carry-on. I gave food and entertainment a one star because my flight was a short flight and we didn't get really either of those except having to buy snacks and some soda"
Cons: "I was not allowed to e-check in... you don't participate in TSA Precheck and to add insult to everything else, when I showed up to the ticket counter to check in (because you don't allow e-check in) I was charge for my carry on bag. ... obviously the reason you don't allow e-check in. Who travels without a bag??? this is absolutely absurd. On the plane I was even charged for coffee and a glass of water... pathetic... When I asked why they parroted the obviously programmed response that management trained them to say "we're required to charge for that, it's our business model". On the way back I was again forced to check in at the ticket counter. I was asked if I wanted to check my bag or if I was going to carry on... I said carry on and the agent did not charge me. When I was boarding the plane the agent pulled me out of line and made me wait until an agent could come to the counter. They told me that the fact that the ticket counter agent didn't charge me was them not doing their job but that they were going to charge me $60 for the bag despite the fact that they "normal" fee is $45. I asked why I was being penalized because the agent didn't do their job????? Their response was "that's our business model". So let me get this straight, the model is mislead me into buying your ticket with what looks like a cheaper price, then don't let me e-check so that the ticket counter can "forget" to charge me the bag fee so that you can charge me more when I have no choice at the boarding gate..... then when I'm good and mad and trapped on your crappy jump seat (that doesn't recline) you charge me for water... You're airlines scumbag tricks and hidden fees are insulting and I hope people see this before they get suckered into buying from you.... You suck suck suck... and I'll NEVER use you again."
Cons: "Just a super cheapo airline that offered an "inexpensive" ticket that then they charge you for everything else, with no warning about the hidden fees. Like baggage: you can't take on more than one free, tiny check-in without paying at least $35, if not much more. Uncomfortable seats. The flight was 3 hours late when a neighbor flight to the same city (on Southwest) took off on time, and so they gave us this lame $10 voucher to appease us, and yet we couldn't use it anywhere, just pissing you off more. They wouldn't accept it at the airport or on the plane, so, what the heck?"
Pros: "Getting OFF the plane"
Cons: "The new seats are flat out terrible. They're thin, poorly padded, and uncomfortable after only 15 minutes of sitting on them. I'm 6'-4", tall, but not a giant and my knees were against the seat in front of me. Legroom was nonexistent. When the stewardesses came through with food and beverages, it was $2 for a can of soda. So after paying an extra $30 to check one bag, and then paying ridiculous prices for a can of soda, and getting cramps after a 2-hour flight with no legroom, Frontier has moved to the bottom of my list for any future flights."
Pros: "Frontier staff in SFO (San Francisco) friendlier to passengers than ORD (Chicago). Kept luggage at SFO for pickup when I arrived"
Cons: "Missed flight by 10 mins. Was able to check-in 1-hr before a domestic flight and get my boarding pass printed. However, the attendants were not interested in expediting me, and 4 other passengers going on the same flight, through security. Ultimately, 5 passengers with boarding passed missed their flight even though we had arrived to the airport and checked-in at an appropriate time! After the plane left, an attendant assisted a passenger to rebook their flight, but then left to go on break and left 3 of us stranded. Very few Frontier attendants available to help us. Had to pay $225 for another same day flight to SFO using American Airlines. Learning points: - hard deadline, need to be at gate 10 mins before departure time - lofty and esoteric reimbursement process - Frontier does not participate in TSA Pre-Check, so arrive 2 hours ahead of departure time for domestic flights - Frontier does not participate in other airline organizations, so unless you rebook with Frontier you are paying full price for the new ticket"
Pros: "Nothing. Worst airline ever. Rude, incompetent staff."
Cons: "The $60 charge for carry one that I discovered as I was about to board the plane. In 42 years of travel, never been charged for this. My bag ended up being more expensive than my flight! I thought I had found a $49 bargain flight on Kayak, and it ended up being a red herring. I feel completely ripped off. Not to mention, I saw a member of the flight staff treat 2 passengers ahead of me with very little respect. I was not the only passenger fooled by the carry-on scam. This entire experience with Frontier was like a Quentin Tarrantino movie. Never again!!"
Pros: "Our flight didn't get canceled."
Cons: "I did not like that the airline does not mention anything about paying for carry on, paying for all drinks and food or paying to choose a seat, which were extremely uncomfortable by the way. All of these costs combine could have equaled or exceeded other ticket prices. It felt misleading and not worth the effort. I also thought that the sales pitch on the flight was disruptive and annoying. If you are going to represent yourself as a budget airline, stop trying to nickle and dime me everywhere you can."
Cons: "Everything. Frontier is awful and I will never fly with them again. They cancelled the flight for "weather" more than 12 hours in advance. By the time the flight was supposed to leave, flights were taking off from O'Hare without any problem. Next, they could not have been less cooperative in helping my find an alternative route to San Fran. After more than 2 hours of arguing with Frontier personnel, they magically found a way for me to get there via Denver. Finally, once I boarded the flight to Denver, the crew could not have been any less competent. I saw at least two instances where they had given away the seat of someone who had checked into the flight, then had to scramble to find them a new seat. Frontier is the worst."
Pros: "The boarding process was easy enough."
Cons: "The crew was absolutely clueless. Half way through the flight no less than 6 sleeping passengers were woken and shuffled about because they discovered two other passengers had seated themselves in the priority area. I understand the desire to ensure passengers are seated properly. However, it was ludicrous to wake 6 people who were not at fault for this error on their part. They should have been more vigilant at the start, or left the rest of us alone after the fact. Terrible understanding of customer service. Also, our flight arrived early, however, they didn't have the appropriate gate available. Poor planning as we knew we'd be early about half way through the flight. Would not fly again, not because of the disorganized gate business, however, there's a real lack of customer focus on this airline."
Cons: "Frontier has trained their staff and written their website to "threaten" passengers into buying extra's like bags, assigned seats ."if your bag doesn't fit we will charge you 120 at the gate", I cant' guarantee a refund" "you may not get a seat if you don't buy one online (they warn you three times on the website before you can complete online check in...we were "randomly assigned" 6 seats together for free by skipping the buy seats step and completing online check in). On frontier you can only take one personal item for free. carry on is $70 (35 one way) and checked bags are $60 (30 one way)...MORE at the airport. I also fault Kayak here, they don't compare apples to apples - united carry on bags are free.. I bought 5 checked bags (6 people flying), but we decided to just do a personal item in the end. Turns out you can only get bag refunds at the airport ticket office ..not online or by phone. The ticket agent said there was no guarantee we would get a refund, but she would put a note in our record. Hmmm....prepaid $300 for a service we didn't use and may not get refunded. Online check in tries to bully you into buying seats...you have to say no 3 times before they let you complete check in. That would have been another $120 for the 6 of us. The best for last. On the return flight home, we went to ticketing agent to get refund for return bags ( the outbound ticket agent would only put a note in our record for the outbound flight, so we had to stand in line again for the return flight). She told us there was a gate change and sent us to the international terminal (a different terminal than the rest of Frontier flights). She marked the new terminal on our tickets. We were at the gate for 45 minutes and realized there were only about 10 other passengers for our flight there. I tried to call frontier on the white airport phone. They just had a recording and told me to dial an 800 number. I was on hold for 20 minutes before i got a person who said he couldn't get me any information. The flight wasn't listed on the departures board in the international terminal we had been sent to, so finally we decided we'd better go to the original gate. We had to go to another termanial, go through security again, and found our flight boarding at the original gate. The woman who sent us to the wrong terminal was at original gate loading passengers, so she knew there had been a mistake. She said they had made two announcements. The trouble is, the announcements were not audible in the international terminal. I told her there were several other passengers at the wrong gate, one of whom was elderly and would need help making the flight, No apology, and when we continued to try to get help for the other passengers, they, told us to move away from the podium or they would call security!!! ARGH!"
