Please improve the foods quality
We paid Lufthansa for reserved seats months before this flight. Apparently this was not forwarded to ticketing as the clerk at check-in gave us seats at the very back of the plane next to restrooms and storage. Needless to say, we didn’t sleep at all on our overseas flight. We sincerely hope that our accommodations are better when we return to the US on October 11th.
No food and drink was served on a three hour flight. The seats were crammed and not comfortable, my knees could reach the seat in front of me. No flight entertainment.

Pros: "All the full service airlines are pretty good in the air. But what sets apart Lufthansa is it's ground staff. On the previous occasion I had left behind my waist bag on the seat containing passports, cash and cards. Their lost and found desk retrieved it quickly, absolutely intact. On the last occasion, my mother in law, who is over 85 was taken care of very well at not only Delhi but especially at the Frankfurt airport. I must truly acknowledge young lady Jessica's efforts, in ensuring that everything was handled very caringly by her personally, for an old lady at the Frankfurt airport."

Really!!?? Make sure that +$1200 are spent well. Rude or inattentive crew members shouldn’t be on flights that are that long...I had to nsist to have a miserable cup of coffee. Movie selection was poor. USB port didn’t work. Shame on you!"

Cons: "I was denied boarding on the Dublin to Munich leg of my connecting flight from Newark to Munich. My ticket was booked through Lufthansa, but the transatlantic leg of my trip was operated by United. When checking in with United in Newark, I received two boarding passes, one for each leg of the trip. I arrived on time in Dublin for my flight to Munich and tried to board the plane for Munich with the boarding pass I had printed in Newark. After scanning my ticket, the Lufthansa employees at the gate informed me that they had no record of me or my plane ticket in their system. I showed them the email confirmation for my ticket, but they still could not find any record of my ticket in their online system. The employees seemed more concerned with boarding all passengers as quickly as possible than assisting me. After being denied boarding, I had to go back through passport control to change my flight, and ended up getting to Munich nearly 6 hours behind schedule and missed an entire day of vacation. A Lufthansa employee told me that out of every partner in the STAR alliance, United is the ONLY airline they have had this problem with. I find this inexcusable, I will be AVOIDING ANY United/Lufthansa connecting flight from now on."

Cons: "The seats in Economy were the most uncomfortable I have ever sat in for such a long time nine and a half hours. All six of us found them to be uncomfortable. No seat bottom cushioning. I had a back pain. Boarding started with the First Class and Business Class first. It took an additional 20 minutes for Economy class to start boarding. The line was very, very long and interfered with other travelers in the airport terminal. "boarding area to Frankfurt was cramped" When we arrived in Denver, only five Custom Agents were on duty to process our arrival passports, although there are 14 control stations at Denver. It appeared as though the Custom Agents were not aware of the arrival of the Lufthansa 747 nor the one that followed. All other Custom in Europe were much more efficient and move people through quickly. What a bad first impress made by the USA Customs people."

Boarding began 20 min late and then we had to stand on the boarding ramp for another 20 min while the crew finished "cleaning" the aircraft."

Cons: "The airline makes money by having very low weight allowances on carry-on and checked luggages. The staff at the check in desk act like they are surprised and symphatetic about the overages meanwhile they enforce the weight limits to the gram. Most deplorable of all is the fact that they have one person on staff at a special desk where one can go to pay for the newly discovered overages. This desk and the person assigned to it full time is the proof that the company expects this kind of result before hand. Where on most continental flights the weight limit is usually set at 31 kilograms for checked-in baggages TAP Portugal has a limit of 23kg. Where most companies have no weight limit or around 20kg on carry-on baggage they have 8kg. The overages in weight result in a flat fee of $100 per luggage, even if the luggage is just one kilogram over the allowed limit. The low ticket purchase price is in my opinion a deplorable marketing scheme aimed at getting people to buy their tickets and then be faced with extra charges when it turns out weight alloweances are set at domestic standards."

When I arrived in Calgary I discovered my plane was reassigned to a more profitable route and I was left stranded in Calgary. I had to rent a car and drove 8 hours to get home at my own expense. 2 of my last 3 flights with Air Canada were cancelled and the 3rd one was delayed 2 hours. Air Canada is an unreliable airline. Choose another airline if you can!
The gnocchi (and the tomato sauce) was dry !

Air Canada has really gone the extra mile to start winning customers back. The cost of the flight (using Aeroplan points and eUpgrades) was by far the winning ticket. However, everything about the flight was smooth. There was a 30-minute delay departing Calgary but we made that up in actual flight time. The flight attendants couldn't have been more helpful. A wonderful experience!

We appreciated the meals, each of which had a choice of Western or Japanese style; the overnight hospitality packs, which included a pillow and blanket, eye mask, earplugs, toothbrush, and comfy socks; and the unusual international movie options. Each flight kept more or less to schedule."

My alternate flight had to be from a different airport and that flight was also delayed. I went from a non-stop flight to a flight with a layover... a 7 hour layover. Was not fun sleeping at the airport. On top of that, I had paid to select my seat and it wasn't honored on the flight back. Somehow I was unassigned because of the flight change during departure but I was still charged."

She made us stuff them under the seats in front of us. There was space im the overhead bin, but there was a bunch of stuff that belonged to the cabin crew. Rude."
Cons: "Several hours late due to repairs, despite the plane originating from Air Canada's hub. Seems they should have had a spare available to not delay us the several hours that they did. As I live 2 hours from the airport, it was not until I got there to check in that I was aware of the delay."

They had some sort of excuse but I am sure it was primarily to save money since the flight was not full. In flight entertainment kept restarting and the head jack hardly worked. Flight was delayed over an hour due to the plane switch. Also, to top it off they had one attendant that was dutied out so we had to wait longer for another flight attendant. This should have already been figured out before. I have flown Air Canada a lot and this was just not like them. Quite disappointed."
Pros: "Staff was really friendly, the flight attendant was even wearing a little witch hat for Halloween, which I really liked. Due to an underbooked flight, we had free choice of seat, because I originally was booked on an aisle seat, I could change to a window seat, that was nice. Since it was a small machine from Toronto to Minneapolis (a little more than 1,5h flight), there was no entertainment system, besides the nice view out of the window. And who likes to start a movie during such a short flight, to not be able to finish it? They also ask you to hand in your carry-on before you enter the plane, because there is not enough space for it inside, which I liked, no wiggeling along the aisle with a little trolley, I just fetched it outside the plane after we landed."

This is not meant as a negative review, because as an allergic you're usually prepared. It's more a suggestion for gluten-free snacks, peanuts or m&m's work as well as most gummy bears or chocolates :)"

Cons: "On our flight from Toronto to Barbados a flight attendant named Miranda was so incredibly rude. She was not helpful and would not even styamptt o smile. I could not believe how she treated the passengers. Our airplane was dirty and on both flights I found food in the pouch on the pack of the seat in front of me. There was no food served and when I asked for a hot tea when the beverage cart came around miranda gave me cold water. Not impressed st all."

(Many people on board were separated from their group unnecessarily and they make no attempt to put you together unless you ask at the gate. They refuse to do it before then.) They also overbook flights and put you on standby even if you pay full price and book your flight 6 months in advance AND get to the airport 4 hours in advance."

I was comfortable in the seat, I am a small person but I did notice that the seat was significantly larger than other flights I have been on, and appreciated the entertainment, which had a great selection of movies."

Pros: "I was landing in Montreal around 2am and my next flight wasn't until 18 hours later. I talked to the crew about suggestions for finding food, a good place to wait, and suggestions for seeing the city. They were fantastic. Suggested the 747 bus so I could see Montreal and helped point me in the right direction for where to be comfortable as I waited for the city to wake up. Thank you all so much!!"

Cons: "The service in Lester b Pearson airport was unprofessional and sub standard by your employee Manija Anwarzada and her shift workers. They did not help me when I missed my flight to Pittsburgh because of our late arrival from Frankfurt. She and the others were not there to assist and help stranded passengers. In fact a couple of the staff were on cell phones and not helping passengers. She finally told us we had to go downstairs to the hall since her counter was closing. After traveling from Algiers to Frankfurt then on to Canada it was a terrible way to end the day. These emoyess made a very long day even longer. I will never fly Air Canada again. I will say once I got through customs there were more professional people who did at least get me a hotel room. Your employee has left a very bad taste in my mouth for Air Canada!"
