Cons: "The crew did not know the law about child safety seats. They tried to inform us we could not use it, even though it is approved for air travel. Then they tried to tell us we had to face it forward, which is illegal and it cannot be secured like this. Then they told us the car seat needed to be against the fuselage, but that all the fuselage seats were taken. They did not offer a solution to this problem. I informed them this was TAP's fault for assigning those seats to us. They said they were not responsible, which is clearly wrong. They could have reassigned us at check-in and avoided the problem. They were very concerned about the ability of the person in front of us to recline their seat, but no interested at all in the safety of our baby. They told us we would not be able to use the seat, although our baby was already asleep. They were trying to find a way to make us leave the plane. Finally, some other passengers volunteered to move so we could sit against the fuselage with nobody in the seats in front of us, so we would not block them from reclining. A solution would not have been found by the crew. Only thanks to generous passengers were we able to stay on the plane, even though we were doing everything completely legally. They made my pregnant wife feel so bad that she cried for the first hour of the flight. Then, as the flight was concluding, our baby got airsick and vomited. They crew did nothing to help aside from bring 3 (!) napkins and then leave again. Incredibly unhelpful, mean, ignorant, and combative cabin crew. Truly appalling."

Cons: "First of all, I would like to start by saying that I flight with TAP very often. I guess you can check on your system. I had good experiences in the past and actually recommeded to friends/family. I hope this flight was an exception. A few things were not that good this time. 1) First of all, the online check-in wasn't working until a few hours before the flight, and I didn't even give me the option to choose my seat. Once in the plane, I noticed plenty of empty seats in several areas of the plane. I could have had a much better seat. Also, the fact that the price of the luggage in the ticket is not included is insane! They let you know right at the boarding area. Another 100 plus dollars in addition to the 1,6000 that I paid for the ticket. Incredible!! And they only gave us 15 dollars voucher!! 2) There was a 2 hours delay due to a storm in the south of the USA. Although I am fully understandable with the fact that this situation is out of hands for the TAP company, is it in their hands the care and wellbeing of their passengers. As previoulsy stated, I received a 15 dollars voucher to use becasue of the delay. At any airport, for any decent meal, you will pay a minimum of 25-30 dollars. All items are more expensive. While waiting in the gate to board, we were not offered with snacks, water, etc.. additionally, no announements or updates at all. 3) I had a very uncofortable situation with one of the filght attenders. Male, very tall, dark hair and dark skin. When distributing dinner, I found the way he approached me very disrespectul, ironic and dismissive. ZERO customer services and he is actually the face of TAP in these planes. Unaceptable. I have to look all the way up to him, he wouldn't make an effort to band a bit (of course, not completely) to at least try to hear what I was saying. He was requesting me to speak loud but he would not make a minimum effort to get close to me. His demeanor and attitude made me feel very upsted... abuse of power... to the pooint that I ended up not taking the meal. No manners at all. He should understand that after hours of waiting (check-in usual time plus the 2 hours delay) we were all very tired. Particularly at that timeof the day. Some of us where up for since earlyi in the moring and you could tell that most of the passengers were exhausted. The second we got into our seat, we all used our blankets and try to sleep. He was not empathetic or councious about that. I felt very uncomfortable. Both of the girls that were also in the back area of the plane, were also lacking manners and customer services. I don't know.. other times was much better."

Well less than 24 hrs before we were scheduled to fly out, the exact same day, they cancel our flight! After a lot of phone calls and wait times we were booked onto TAP AIR PORTUGAL. Easy check in, my carry on was great, entertainment was on point, food was good (first European trip), crew was nice, plane was huge; just a good experience overall. I will definitely fly with them again."

The gate keeps changing and they've been getting ther run around all day. No food vouchers. This is horrendous. I am here at Prague airport. We only have a few days here and now one day is gone. They should be reimbursed! We are paying 400 euros for hotel rooms that aren't even being used because of this delay."

When I said to my friend as she was running toward the gate that we didn't hear the announcements. The gate agent told me I was the only one because all the other passengers did. I told him that wasn't true. He would not look at me and repeated to go down the jet way or I would miss the flight. Meanwhile more passengers were running for the gate. The message board message displayed "preboarding". I was sitting in the gate area for 40 minutes."
Pros: "That small propeller plane was an exciting experience!"

Cons: "Crowded"
Cons: "My flight was cancelled after being delayed a few times. I was offered to be on standby on flights that's were overbooked the next day. The closest airport was 2 hours away with a different airline."
Cons: "Not enough space"
Pros: "The pilots"

Pros: "Great entertainment options. Thank you"
Cons: "The wi fi should be free of charge"
Pros: "Had a great night sleep despite it being delayed 3 hours."
Cons: "Flight got into LA and 2:00am but overall the service was good"

Cons: "the plane started while there apparently was a hydraulic problem which made them decide to turn around right before the Atlantic and fly back all the way to New York in a plane that shouldn't have taken off in the first place. Flight eventually got cancelled."
Pros: "More luggage storage (overhead and under the seats) on this international flight than on domestic. Most everything else was as expected."
Cons: "The toilets smelled and were messy a few hours into it. (I was on a Korean Airlines flight recently and their toilets were always clean and nice!). The crew were mostly efficient and worked well together BUT only one (out of the 4 or 5 in our section) smiled at passengers and looked like she was actually enjoying her job. One blanket wasn't cleaned well enough."
Pros: "The crew was fantastic ! My daughter was anxious during some unexpected turbulence and she was very supportive . Movies and entertainment were good . Food , acceptable."
Cons: "The space allotted per person is ridiculous. And I upgraded to extra leg room ... What extra legroom ??"
Cons: "The flight was delayed by over 4 hours, there was no clarity on what was going on. They made us change aircrafts, the ground staff was mean at best. In spite of the 4 hour wait they didn't even bother serving food or made any announcement to handle passenger anxiety and concerns. Delays are sometimes unavoidable and I have had experiences in the past but none that was handled this unprofessionally"

Crew was pleasant! Departed 50 mins late

Cons: "We flew near hurricane Lorenzo and the flight was the bumpiest I’ve ever had"
Pros: "Flight left Boston on time and arrived in Ponta Delgada 15 minutes early. Very clean and well maintained Airbus 321"

Cons: "They announced we should pick up our luggage and go through customs, before catching our connecting flight to Teceira. This was not so and we almost missed out next flight, very disconcerting."
Cons: "Took off late missed my connecting flight and they lost my luggage and claim process is taking for ever"
Pros: "Very nice crew. Appreciate the meal and service good flight"
Cons: "Made us ship our carry on bags which we didn’t appreciate ! Even boarding early ! Did not being packed in busses then made to wait both at terminal and plane for long periods !"
Pros: "The flight was changed from 9:20pm to 4am. Then they bumped me to the next day because they oversold the flight. So I missed 1 1/2 days of my retreat."

Pros: "Tight seats, but freee wine makes up for it!"
Cons: "They cancelled the flight and made us try stand in line for an hour to get bussed to the hotel- another hour wait. No luggage because it was in a bin so no clothes or anything. Left at 6 am next morning . Got to Sao Miguel and missed my flight that was to leave the day before. Made me wait on stand by before putting me up in a grand hotel with no luggage. It was Still in Boston. I had to buy things to wear and use. So late no dinner at hotel . Terrible"

Cons: "Could not pick seats when buying tickets through website. Had to call airline separately, which we did. However, actual tickets that we received at airport were for different seats. Happened to another couple on our flight as well."
Cons: "There were 2 other couples in the situation described above. We waited in line and got to the agent first, but upon realizing he had more than one couple in our situation, he agreed to help us all as a group. He gave us our tickets for the new flights one by one. When we got onto the aircraft we realized that we were in the far rear of the plane and the two couples (4 tickets) BEHIND us in the original line were given tickets in the business class portion of the plane, all the way in front. We were seated between two screaming babies and their parents, cramped in an aisle and middle seat. When I originally booked the reservation, I had paid extra money for the seats we preferred. Our new flight gave us the worst seats on the plane while giving the couples behind us in line the best."

Cons: "5 hrs delay and missed all connecting flights. Airline initially rescheduled flight 2 days later. Called Kayak and got no support. Kayak agent told us to keep pushing the airline. After 2 hrs of "working" with the airline, we were able to fly into Madrid the following day. Had to spend extra money for hotel room and car rental in Madrid because our final destination was Sevilla. Will never work with Azores or Kayak again. BTW, did we mention that while "working" with Azores to reschedule flight, we were booked to fly into an island off of Africa. Luckily, we followed up online with the changed itinerary."

Cons: "Delayed 4 hrs; boarding agent couldn't give any details (meanwhile me kids are screaming); seats were narrow and I couldn't lift the armrest up out of the way. Food was terrible. No entertainment visible from our seats and the headphones didn't work. Flight from BOS was much of the same. NEVER FLYING SATA AGAIN!"
Cons: "Airline was 2 hours late and missed our connection which made us miss our first port for our cruise we then had to make other arrangements while the airline did nothing to help. I would NEVER FLY with them again."
Pros: "The crew were nice and the food was free."
Cons: "The airline staff struggled to get the check-in line going. The agent checking us in had no clue about our itinerary, for example, to tell us that we were changing planes in the Azores, AND - really important - making sure we had the boarding passes to do so. Food was really lame (I know, we're lucky they gave us any, right) and there was no in-flight wifi or entertainment."

The flight from São Miguel to Terceira was delayed in 30 minutes. - As if the delay wasn't enough, we had to return to gate as the plane prepared for takeoff because of technical problems. SATA (Azorean Airlines) international planes are too old..."
Cons: "Delayed, no reimbursement, ac was off while we just sat on the runway, missed my connecting flight. Meanwhile all their other flights were delayed also. I couldn't believe how hot it was for so long on the plane. Worst flight I've ever been on"

Cons: "We arrived to the check in queue 90 min before our flight and it took almost two hours to get through the line. Our seats got swapped and it was a cluster to make it to the gate where we then waited another 45 min for a later departure."

Cons: "We had changes to pretty much every leg of our flights. One was delayed by 2.5 hours. I understand that flights get delayed but they hardly gave us any information as to what was going on. The flight was pretty smooth but the flight attendants didn't seem interested in our comfort. They weren't rude but they weren't pleasant either. I guess I'm used to a different style of service that I did not receive on Azores."
