Cons: "Information on when we can check in on upcoming flights. Other airlines we have booked for flights will email us 24 hours prior to departure. Virgin Atlantic did not. I had to call and I was directed to their web site and was able to check in on line. Thanks"

Pros: "The flight crew was phenomenal, especially Daniella. Somehow we wound up with seats right next to the bathroom door, which would have been a pretty uncomfortable situation for a variety of reasons, but the flight wasn't full, and she helped us find a suitable place to sit. Also, my wife and I usually take our tea with honey vs. milk and sugar. Even though honey is usually one of the options for tea, she found a way to accommodate our request. The lunch meals were the best I can remember in a long time on an airline flight. They might have been the best I've ever had. The chicken curry was authentic, flavorful and spicy. Frankly my outbound flight had problems. My luggage got damaged. The transfer experience in Manchester left a LOT to be desired. I wasn't planning to use Virgin Atlantic again, but this flight crew (Daniella especially) redeemed Virgin Atlantic. They were attentive, pleasant, diligent."
Cons: "Only thing I didn't like about this flight was the boarding area. Once you get into that the area, you don't really have access to appetizing food (only vending machines) or even restrooms. That's one thing that could be improved."

Pros: "I was selected for additional screening at the gate. I have no problem with this at all. From the start I told them I am traveling with my fiancee. They tried to hold me back in a separate area after the screening and I once again told them my fiancee was waiting for me. One staff memeber walked with me half way back to get her and then disappeared. By the time I found her and came back, the staff memeber was no where to be found. Now we had lost are spot in the line and had to go to the back of the line. We spoke to 3 different staff people about what was going on and everyone said, oh the guy over there will help you. But no one did. The staff had No idea how to run a security check or handle paople. There was No working wifi! There was no tvs in the seats, only the old style in the aisle. The staff told me the plan was going to retire at the end of the month. The food was more for animals then for humans! We got updates by txt 10 mins before the staff updated the gate on our flight out from SFO. I have traveled all over the world with a lot of airlines and Never had such a poor service, but what is it to expect. It was United after all!"

Cons: "agent boarding delayed boarding because she wanted everyone to check their bags. A flight that was leaving 2 minutes later than our flight started boarding before our plane. It wasn't that the 2 planes arrived at different times. The agent was just horrible. In the end, she lied to the passengers that there were no overhead space left. When I went to get my seat, most of the overhead space was empty!! I had to check-in my bag and my bag was damaged by the delta crew."

Cons: "where should i start? my flight was delayed leaving NC to ATL. after standing in line for over an hr trying to speak to someone about the issue. i was notified on my phone i could keep my current flight or rebook of course i wanted to keep my current flight since it was my birthday weekend. i then called delta (in nc) for help since they told us we wouldnt make our 1030 flight and we might have to stay in a hotel that night until we could rebook the flight. not cool! i was told by a person (in nc)about what i should do once landed in ATL. they were beyond rude. they turned their backs or gave half answers. when asked about the hotel for the night they told me they werent going to handle that and i had to pay for a hotel AFTER i was just told by a delta agent that if i had to stay overnight my hotel was going to be covered. i then again called a delta agent in ATL after being informed that my status on the stand by list wasnt activated and i had less than 10 mins to make it to the next terminal and try to get activated and i would probably not get onto that flight to leave ATL. we were told that we had to stay in the terminal that night. my whole trip could have been ruined from the start from the flight being delayed in NC to talking to rude delta agents in NC and ATL. my flight status being one thing and then finding out it was something else. i never had to deal with something like this."

Cons: "All "carry-ons" were taken at the jetway, which was fine. But, when we landed, as passengers were trying to get off of the plane, the attendants were putting all of the collected luggage at the entry to the jetway. It created congestion. Then, anyone who had luggage, had to lineup against the side of the jetway, awaiting their luggage, and increasing the congestion. First, it was inconvenient. Worse, if there was any kind of emergency, I believe it would have created a unsafe environment. Very Poor Design & Process ! ! !"

Cons: "What should have been a 90 minute flight took over 4 hours! Between mechanical failure, overbooking and waiting for gates and sky bridges we missed our connection. Then when they rebooked our connection on a British Airways flight, BA couldn't pull up the tickets and we wasted yet another hour while Virgin Atlantic and Delta both passed the buck as to who was responsible for correcting it so we could get on our rebooked flight, which we BARELY did with only 2 minutes to spare!"

Cons: "After checking in at a kisok I had to wait in a huge line for over 20 minutes just to drop the bag. This the second time I have had this experience with them."

Cons: "Everything that could have gone wrong with my flights, went wrong. On my way from LA to Raleigh (through Atlanta), I was affected by the weather conditions at Atlanta. I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."

We had some medicine that needed to be refrigerated and they both provided a bag of ice for us to keep it in and checked back to replace the ice as it melted."

Cons: "There was no gate agent until another passenger went all the way to another gate to retrieve one. The flight kept getting delayed, but no one made any announcements about why or even that there was a delay. Passengers just kept noticing the time change on the flight info board. On board, if you didn't buy into Delta's classist system of paying for an "extra comfort" seat (which, by the way, is a regular seat), you were seated in a tiny shoved in extra row where even my 8 year old's knees bumped the seat in front of us while seated. I will never fly Delta again, particularly with them being one of the priciest options."

Cons: "Arrived at airport at 08:00a for 09:10a flight. Delay for weather, then crew rest, then cancelled ~6 hours later. All while sitting in the airport like a dope. Put on a flight with overnight in LGA, but they could not tell us if a voucher would be provided. Usual story since the govt does not mandate the airlines do better. Was not advised to try standby on other later flights, which worked. Finally landing in BOS, we sat for 45+ min waiting for a third person to flag the plan to the gate. Understand why, but really annoying after such a long day full of delays. Felt many areas could have been handled better. Each person individually tried, but in aggregate it was a mess."

Spent 12 hours ( 10 am to 10 pm ) at Munich airport not knowing if and/or when we get on the plane, hoping to be on 10 pm flight, not making any connection all day long. Suggestions to fly through different city or on different airline we’re met with shrug and “ not possible “ reply. Having one Omaha Krakow Lufthansa ticket made no difference to anybody. Horrible experience specially that one of us was 80 years old. Will never fly with Lufthansa again. None of my friends will. Dreading my flight back. Kasia Bradley"

Also, what I had planned on bringing on the aircraft as carry on (which was my work equipment, tablet/printer etc), I had to check in as luggage because it was "overweight" meaning more than 8 kg and pay ADDITIONAL $200 (in addition to the $100 I already paid for one suitcase). I've seen many passengers with "heavy" carry on, which they were apparently allowed to bring into the cabin without any problems. I had never had to pay for any carry on, and I am seriously considering using another airline for future business travel."

Bad communication with the client. They told us when I asked several times that we would not lose our connection and that everything was fine and that was not the case. We lost the connection. No one told us anything. Another problem was that the girl in the boarding process removed the suitcases tickets from the boarding pass and did not want to return them, and held it without any cause. The flight staff went looking for us. Pretty sad and disappointed by their service. I understand that they were causes outside the airline but must communicate to the client. Somehow I managed to get to the Terminal 1 and when I spoke to the lady (indian) at the Check-In counter, she has refused me to Check-In because i slipped the line up. The people in the lineup didn’t have any objection and they let me go first for Check-In as I’m already late to my flight. I wante to say something to her, but I’ve controlled my frustration. Luckily the other person in the Check-In counter offered to help me Check-In. Here is my word to the Indian lady staff “F**k You B***h” - learn some people skills."

It was a night flight to London from DC, so I closed my eyes straight away, and didn't partake in any of the meal or entertainment options available. Flight crew was very nice and personable."

The crew were nice enough but disinterested in serving us and were annoyed when I asked for a few crackers or bread to help with a stomach ache. Never got any. I had to get up several times to ask for water. Comfort was ok and plane was warm enough. There was several people who came and sat down next to me in the open seat, 6 or 7 different people who left their own seats elsewhere on the plane and came to sit next to me in the open seat. One woman brought her child over, asked me to love another seat over, so her child could lay down and put his feet in my lap. Then, when Inledt for the ladies room, she left him there to kick the seat in front of him and throw his tuna fish sandwich pieces on me and on the floor. I never agreed to play nanny to her child and after I'd paid $750 for a one way ticket from TPA to AMS, I didn't think I should have to. The mother gave me an earful of her bad language when I asked her to take care of her own child and take him and his fishy tuna sandwich back to his own designated seat. I had asked a male flight attendant to handle the situation, neither he nor the other staff, who stood by, cared that it was disturbing me, or that the other passengers were playing musical chairs with empty seats all night. I have flown British Air more than 100 times in my life. For 35 years it was my go to airline for step up in quality, service and class. This time I could have flown several other airlines that would have been $379, $400, 547, 650 for the same flight TPA to London Gatwick then AMS, instead I opted to pay a little more and thought I'd get a little more. Not any more on British Air. Other passengers on the flight were rested when they arrived. Not me, I was tired and disappointed and kicking myself for paying more to fly British Air. This is sadly understandable, as all quality is down with alot of airlines. But it's particularly disappointing that I'm saying that about British Air after all these years. I have only complained one time to an airline over 30 years. This will be my second time. I plan to send this complaint to British Air and ask for a refund."
