While the Crew was great, I am saddened by United Airlines for allowing an obviously sick passenger fly especially in this time of COVID! This passenger flew over 90% of the approximate 2 hour flight with no mask on as required. Not only did he fail to wear his mask as required, he coughed and sneezed without covering his mouth spreading germs to the entire plane, and endangering the health and well-being of those around him in close proximity! He was sweating profusely with the fan above him on full blast and his companion holding a handheld portable fan and well as fanning him with the safety measure placard. As a passenger sitting across from him, the passengers directly in front of him and 2 rows up all looked at one another with disbelief and discomfort! I couldn’t eat or drink for fear of exposing myself to whatever he was coughing and sneezing in the air being recirculated to us all! The crew walked passed him with no discussion until the passenger was in need of oxygen due to difficulties breathing. They provided him a tank to assist in breathing for the last 20 minutes or so of the flight and allowed them to deplane immediately upon landing. But I am so deeply disgusted and offended that the Crew member chuckled with the passenger as he provided an excuse of having allergies! As an immune compromised individual and someone with asthma, the symptoms he exhibited did not align with someone dealing with allergies! His sweaty appearance alone should have ruled that out! I am now in a position to not only get tested for COVID but my family plans for the Thanksgiving holiday are in jeopardy because I have a pregnant daughter-in-law that I must consider! I am no physician nor am I trying to police anyone. I just take seriously the individual responsibility that we all must have navigating our continued health pandemic. It takes a lot of courage to travel and fly on our current environment, even as a vaccinated person, I still fear the possibility of contracting this disease that has taken lives or resulted in long-term illnesses. I worry not only about myself but others on the plane as well-including the crew who are also exposed in the way we were. I wonder if the plane was truly disinfected after his departure with snotty tissues placed through their seats (9a/9b), and I wonder if he were COVID positive will I be notified? It was a horrible experience that makes me question ever flying United Airlines again! American Airlines may pack you like a can of sardines but they consistently reiterate the mask requirement throughout the flight and walk the aisles throughout the flight to ensure all passengers are in compliance (unless they’re eating or drinking). Cons: "Told I would need to check my bag at the gate, only to find plenty of overhead bin space once all passengers boarded"
Pros: "Crew good. Good tv/ movie choices."
Cons: "Late check in and takeoff because cleaning crew didn’t show up on time. Late landing because plane below was cleared to take off late. Didn’t receive instructional video until after takeoff because TVs wouldn’t work at first. Uncomfortable seating."
Cons: "Clean the bathroom!! Horrible, horrible, horrible!!"
Pros: "Very easy flight. Easy boarding and seating."
Cons: "Nan"
Cons: "Worst flight experience of my entire life."
Pros: "great crew, easy flight"
Cons: "Very late flight, seats bad"
Cons: "Waited on runway for 30 minutes before taking off. No explanation from cockpit. Waited another 10 minutes once landed before pulling into deplaning area. It was an uncomfortable flight."
Pros: "Great cabin attendant!"
Cons: "Air conditioning on my feet got old."
Cons: "I didn't go on my trip. My course in SF was cancelled and United would n't refund my money or change the dates for my trips because of there basic economy package. They have 3 different economy packages and the economy basic doesn't get refunds and you can't change the flights if needed. It feels like they are banking on increasing there ROI with this basic economy ticket which is 40 -60 dollars cheaper than the next economy package. Intuitively they know people will pick that, but if something comes up the customer is screwed."
Cons: "Very little communication at the gate and 4 hours late. No offer of food vouchers or future travel vouchers."
Cons: "Flight cancelled due to weather"
Cons: "See my comment above. This flight was also delayed."
Pros: "Most of my flights this time had more legroom than I’ve been seeing lately. Very pleasant flight and nice not to be so cramped. The flight also left from the same terminal in Denver as my previous flight. With a 1 hour connection that was wonderful. Keep that up, United! The crew also came by regularly with offers of water. Much appreciated."
Cons: "Naturally no food except pretzels."
Cons: "It was a United airlines flight. Reclining the seat only gives you what feels to be only 10 degrees as well as the seats being extremely uncomfortable."
Cons: "no legroom"
Pros: "Nothing unusual every was smooth"
Cons: "Not applicable"
Cons: "Sat on the plane for over 2 hours due to mechanical issues, then there was a medical emergency, then the crew was over their time and had to be replaced, while deplaning there was another medical emergency, finally got in the air 4 + hours later. When flight landed sat on the tarmac for 45 min waiting for a gate! United offered a $50 voucher as compensation. Are you kidding me?!?!?! $50????? You cannot get a customer service person on the phone, they told me it is a "back room department" I had to email and wait to see if/what they will do. Absolutely ridiculous!!!"
Cons: "PA system was painfully too loud."
Pros: "Safe landing. Open seats."
Cons: "Late take off. No one to take my bag by the plane so it stayed on the ground and then they had to come in the plane to decide if each carry on stowed under was safe."
Cons: "Kept delying the flight for a total of 5hours, and then sat on the runway for 1 hour before take off. Was the worst experience of flying by far. Will definitely go back to delta or American as they are more informative and nicer"
Pros: "Comfy seats and they offered a beverage"
Cons: "Our plane smelled horrible: like a bus full of HS boys after playing basketball in Satan's sauna for 2 1/2 hrs. No entertainment options but it was less than an hour flight so didn't really care. Our flight attendant said nothing about our carry on being bigger than the compartments of our tiny plane so we walked to the back with our bag just to bring it bag and them check it"
Cons: "Room for sitting."
Pros: "This was very different than most United flights I have been on. Even in Economy the seats were wide, well padded, with actual legroom. How I wish I had this plane on the 4 hour trip that preceded it. Way to go, United. Buy more of these planes."
Cons: "The flight was too short to say much about. Everything went very well."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Rudeness of flight attendant Departure time changes Gate changes"
Pros: "Avoid flying with United at all cost!"
Cons: "United is the worst airline Terrible customer service !"
Pros: "Short flights"
Cons: "Chilly"
Cons: "Mechanical delay in fargo caused me to miss my connecting flight to Eugene by 5 minutes. Got to Denver airport asked the gate guy to call my connecting flight to see if they could hold the door for me, he said you got 10 mins go. I run 30 gates and the door just closed. I am 25 weeks preg so my running time is slower then normal. Then they rebooked me on a flight that had an additional connect and arrived 4 hours later then expected. By the time I got to my new flight gate- it was delayed so would miss my next connecting flight. Long story short it's 3 hours past when I was suppose to leave and settled for s flight to PDX tonight getting in at midnight. My friend From eugue is picking me up in Portland tomorrow. It has been an unsuccessful flight. Almost cancelled and wMechanical delay in fargo caused me to miss my connecting flight to Eugene by 5 minutes. Pros: "Short flight"
Cons: "Late flight"
Cons: "They cancelled my return flight when I rebooked through united online."
Cons: "My flight was delayed in Portland due to " airport construction" at SF . My . connection was missed in SF causing a day long lay over. Meal voucher was denied by 2 different United customer service people..i don't consider construction out of human control ,like weather. Also ,I found it annoying that because a woman in front of me started crying over her missed I connection for an international trip, she was given a meal voucher.Agents were unfriendly and not sympathetic.Long line of customers with only 3 agents , but of course, they had to still use one for elite customers."
Pros: "Short flight"
Cons: "Plane was way too hot on SFO-SBA, fortunately it was a short flight. Uncomfortable, narrow seats with sparse leg room. Kayak should add an 'N/A' to the survey for certain categories, e.g., entertainment which is not available on some flights."
Cons: "No one could get their story straight and actually lied! I was sent a text (I was already at the airport) that the flight would be delayed due to "aircraft maintenance". Not true in the least bit. Then when we finally landed in Denver (nearly every person on that flight missed their connecting flights) we were told the system said the delay was "due to weather". Another lie. Then they announced there would be gate agents to meet us when we got off the plane to assist with connecting flights. First gate agent said "I have no information you have to go to gate 56". The person at gate 56 said "I don't open for another 15 minutes so you have to go to gate 39"! The real story? They made us change gates 5 times in Fargo! The gate attendant was using the "F-bomb"! It wasn't aircraft maintenance or the weather. They couldn't get the walkway to work! In the end, we still left from the original gate and had to walk outside on the tarmac to board the plane. Why didn't they just opt for that to begin with and avoid all the missed flights? My measly voucher isn't nearly enough compensation and if United ever expects me to fly with them again I am expecting a full refund (as other passengers received- I witnessed the manager in Denver authorize a full refund for another passenger but only offered me $50)"
Pros: "The staff and crew were great."
Cons: "I flew round trip to Bangkok from Chicago last year for $460. Why does one way from Fargo N.D. To Green Bay, WI cost $480?! My flight said it was late on the screen (6:40) but actually flew on time. I think a kid missed his flight because of it. My connecting flight in Chicago was way too tight because of a LONG delay waiting to unboard. Had to run, yes run through ORD to get to terminal 2 from 1 within minutes to catch my flight. It was too stressfu and expensive."
Pros: "The crews were accommodated"
Cons: "The flight was delayed on so many occasions."
Cons: "Don't like being squeezed in, but it is what it is"
Pros: "Fast and efficient and two seat figuration is better than three."
Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Staff worked hard to get us bussed to Santa Barbara"
Cons: "We weren't informed early enough that the flight was cancelled, and everyone was a bit confused"
Pros: "Zero"
Cons: "The weather in SF delayed is so very long while the airport staff were rather rude at both airports. And after all that, my bag did not make it on my connecting flight- or maybe it did but you guys texted me it didn't via your little app- and I had to go back for it mysef the next day becuase you would not deliver it or help me find it. wanted to be compensated for my long and horrible ordeal."
Cons: "Lines, delays, at least the agent I called while in line was helpful."
Pros: "Automatically rebooked flight was changed free-of-charge to a different destination."
Cons: "Original flight was delayed, which was understandable due to inclement weather. Connecting flight, which was also United Airlines, was either uninformed of the delay, or indifferent. Myself and two other passengers arrived 2 minutes before the flight left, were told we could not board, and watched the plane undock from the gate and fly away."
Cons: "My bag was misplaced after being gate checked, it ended up going to baggage claim, not a huge inconvenience, but after all our trouble with United, it was frustrating and we were tired and not interested in waiting for our bags (which is why we took carry on only in the first place)."
Cons: "Didn't happen! First was so late due to mechanical problems that I missed this flight and took the bus! So really I have no opinion on this flight."
Pros: "Flight cancelled going San Francisco so we had to drive"
Pros: "Times"
Cons: "Everything else"
Pros: "How fast the flight was"
Cons: "Delayed flight on the way back"
Pros: "Everything."
Cons: "Not much leg room- hard to access my bag under the seat"
