It couldve been because it was the 0700 flight. Older plane. Its one with one big screen in the middle and tiny little screens scattered throughout. Didnt show a movie - instead showed clips of hawaiian singers. Chairs were rickety and hard to lay back or put forward."

The one cup of juice (that was mostly ice) was barely enough to wash it down. Also, my disabled wife was not allowed to have the bulkhead seat because it had previously been assigned to a completely healthy child and mother. there should be some kind of priority system for those seats."

They asked for volunteers to check their bags and I volunteered and when I made a connecting flight to Kauai (final stop Oahu which is a 35 min flight) I tried to switch my flight to an earlier one because I realized That I had a four hour layover before my 35 min flight -_- and they said that I would have been able to but since I checked my carry on I couldn't. And they said it was because my bag would get there much later than me - which I was upset about but understood. Fast forward 4 1/2 hours later and I land on Oahu. My bag is sitting at the terminal because it came over on a plane that got there before me. Totally unhappy - I fly to California and back almost every month and I've never had an experience like this"

We rushed over and ended up boarding and then waiting on the plane forever. not sure whey they need to get everyone on so early. I guess i'm used to flying southwest airlines where they let people run up 5 minutes before they close the gates."

Food (water & pretzels) were OK, but nothing special (then again it was a short flight, so I didn't expect anything). Plane was small so we needed to gate check bags and the gate attendant came around and tagged everyone's bag for us, well before boarding which was hugely efficient - kudos to her on that!"

At one point a Delta employee announced over the plane's PA system that we'd be getting vouchers to compensate us for this absurd delay, but there was no explanation of how to claim those vouchers."
