Pros: JAL operates with incredible efficiency.

Cons: Great flight!

Pros: The EMIRATES flight was nice. Japan airlines has good leg room.

Pros: Very comfortable and nice atmosphere

Pros: Premium economy is more worth that the price

Cons: No space for cabin bags. Late by 2 hours. Super rude and passive aggressive staff. Kept in bus at Frankfurt for 10 mins. Won’t fly BA again if i can help it.

Pros: Good service. Flight went off without a problem.

Pros: Very friendly and polite. Very helpful and on time.

Pros: Everything was excellent no complaints

Cons: No AC

Pros: I would recommend to everyone JAL

Pros: Really nice crew, the flight was great.
Cons: I think the food made me sick. It could have been the long journey but 1/2 hour after I ate it I felt really sick.

Pros: Great airline, roomy seats and they don't nickle and dime you like other airlines.

Cons: Meal was served frozen.

Pros: Everything was great except for how warm it was. It may be seasonal?
Cons: There weren’t any personal vents on the 777 going to or coming back from Japan. Otherwise it was a perfectly fine flight. I just don’t do well when it’s too warm as it make me feel sick.

Pros: The Flight staff are very professional. The food and service were excellent.
Cons: The only downside was the long layover (7.5 hrs) in Narita airport.

Pros: So much food, great leg room, very comfortable and clean, kind and attentive staff

Pros: Service is great.
Cons: Flight was an hour late. Boarded late. Took off late. Delayed 10 minutes at arrival gate with seat belt sign on.

Pros: The crew, the flight, the pilot to cabin communications, the food, USB hookup, and the movie selection was amazing. I am so happy that I flew Japan Airlines on my return trip. I would highly recommend them for your international travels.
Cons: The flight was extremely late to leave and I almost missed my connecting flight in Osaka

Pros: JAL is a great airline. Love flying on them. great crew. roomy and comfortable.

Pros: The crew were extremely polite and caring. Food and entertainment were of the highest quality.
Cons: Seats were extremely uncomfortable. US to Japan flight had much better cushions and support.

Pros: JAL always have good services.

Pros: Nice and quick flight, had a free space next to me on plane

Cons: I reserved Korean air but it was Japan air line. I was really difficult to web-check in to find my reservaiton.

Pros: Everything

Pros: As expected from JAL, the flight was amazing in every way. The food (the Japanese meal) was not typical airline food, it was actually very good. The courtesy packets had many useful items including eye refreshers, lip balm, and the bathrooms were kept very clean and stocked with both mouthwash and toothbrush/paste. All together as flawless and comfortable an experience as possible on a commercial carrier.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like, but if I could make a suggestion it would be to offer a larger selection of movies and shows on the long-haul flights. Also the cabin twmperature was a bit too warm but I understand that might vary from flight to flight.

Pros: The majority of the crew had facials that made me feel like I shouldn't talk to them. The food wasn't the best but that was expected. There was movies and shows that kept me entertained for a while. Seats are normal couldn't walk or get up often because of turbulence.

Pros: Japan Airline is a notch above the rest. The services was constant and consistent, the food was delicious and abundant, and the seats were comfortable. I was surprised at how often they would go up and down the aisles checking on passengers, picking up trash, and serving small food items. To top it off towards the end of the trip they put toothbrushes in the bathroom so you can leave fresh, awesome.
Cons: I really dont have a negative things to say, I was really happy with the service. Especially since I hate flying this make the trip so bearable.

Pros: From start to finish, we were amazed by the customer service of Japan Airlines. Altogether we we had a 14-hour day or so of flying with two small children and it could have easily been a 20-hour-or-more day of flying had Japan Airlines not been so great at what they do. We can't say enough about how amazed and blessed we were by their customer service.
Cons: Having to pay for wifi and not having access to power outlets. Everything else was amazing and honestly these minor things were very forgivable given the great entertainment choices that came along with the plan ride and and the amazing customer service.

Pros: Food served was actually pretty good.
Cons: Movie selection, should've had more recent releases instead of flicks from the 90's. Makes for a long flight.

Pros: All was fine
Cons: Nothing

Cons: Food

Pros: Fast boarding and wonderful staff.
Cons: A small complaint, but the entertainment system in the plane was very old and had poor quality screens.

Pros: Food and drinks
Cons: Nothing

Pros: I enjoyed their food very much, and the bathrooms are so clean! It made my trip easy. You will never regret using JAL.

Pros: Couldn't ask for anything more than what was offered. Flying is never exactly a pleasant experience, but JAL makes it as painless as possible. Food was excellent and staff were extremely helpful and professional at all times.

Pros: It was a good price. I always like JAL flights that provide much better service than American companies. The Japanese staff are EXCELLENT! My flight was delayed from Montreal, but when I arrived Chicago, the JAL crew was waiting to take me to the next terminal!! (This never happens for American airline companies!!)
Cons: The food is getting terrible. They had better food a year ago.

Pros: New aircraft and diligent crew; the food was frequent and tasted great. No complaints; would gladly fly JAL any time, anywhere.

Pros: The crew was very nice and pleasant. They were very accommodating as well.
Cons: For my entire flight back I was so hot I could hardly stand it. I had to change my clothes and it still didn't help very much. My meals were also pretty bad on the way back, which is odd because they were not bad on the way there. It was definitely one of the worst flights that I've ever had, mostly because of the heat.

Cons: Food so-so boxed ramen very poor bottom of the seat after 5-6 hours very hard and uncomfortable

Pros: I felt well taken care of the whole time. When checking my bag, the attendant saw that I have a middle seat, and got me an exit row window, which allowed me to sleep. They accommodated a last-minute request for vegetarian meals. The flight felt like it took about half the time it actually did.
Cons: I couldn't check in online without a JAL account.

Pros: As always, the Japan Airline's stewardess takes care of you so well, they really make your trip a very comfortable one. (Think the Japanese airline crews are the most caring, with thorough service, and they are surely one of them.

Pros: Service with a smile goes even longer for long flights. Excellent service throughout the flight. Loved the feeling of spaciousness, even in Economy. Great sleep as a result.
Cons: Number of movies available in Entertainment was limited, especially compared to competitors like Singapore Airlines. Ran out of good choices on a long flight.

Pros: Good solid flight on a relatively comfortable plane
Cons: Narita seems to have had delay problems as of late. What should have been a short flight was extended over 40 minutes on the runway. Not the airline's fault by any means, but I'd recommend looking for flights through Haneda if you're passing through Tokyo.

Pros: It was my first time flying to Japan from LA and the experience was great. Yeah my flight was delay by 3 hours for reasons out of their control and I missed my connecting flight but they completely made up for it. The food and drinks were really good along with the service. Plus they booked me on another flight along with a hotel for the night. Awesome service and experience, I would travel with them again.
Cons: I don't have anything to complain about.

Pros: Great entertainment options. Didn't try the food but I never do. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: None

Pros: This complaint is more targeted at American Airlines, which handled the New York Washington leg of the trip. They provided free food such as sandwiches and drinks at the gate due to the 2 hour delay.
Cons: Red eye flight delayed for 2 hours. Then delayed another hour on the runway. No in-flight enternmaint, which would have made it bearable. Descent into Washington Reagan National freaked me out because the plane was flying eratically while being so close to the ground and recognizable landmarks.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Fell asleep
Cons: Nothing

Pros: The crew was friendly and helpful
Cons: The flight was not socially distanced

Cons: The flight was not socially distanced

Pros: Everything was how should be
Cons: I like how you are now.

Cons: Major turbulence made the flight miserable

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Sit with my actually girlfriend that I bought tickets with

Cons: Seats were changed twice for this flight. It was very cold on the flight

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Flight status

Pros: Short flight. Great helpers with my mom!

Cons: My tv didn’t work my WiFi didn’t work and no beverage service

Pros: Crew, clean toilets, quality of food/beverages served, punctuality (arrived early), entertainment
Cons: Cold temp/a bit cramped in economy, plane landing was rough!

Cons: delayed an hour even though the flight took less than an hour

Cons: The flight was delayed for over 2 hours because of a reported maintenance issue with the aircraft but was originally delayed because of not having flight attendants available. When the flight attendants did finally arrive they all had an attitude of wishing to be anywhere but on this flight. The lead flight attendant even got into a verbal altercation with the gate agent demanding help getting people's bags into the overhead compartment because she was "injured" & not supposed to be at work. All in all a quite dissatisfying experience but not an uncommon one with this airline & this airport. I will use both only when I have absolutely no other options.

Pros: It was a red-eye flight and the crew kept the lighting low and the cabin quiet.
Cons: More snack variety than pretzel nibbles.

Pros: Nice gate agent was holding the plane for some of us who were running from International connections
Cons: Wish the plane was a little cooler while passengers were boarding

Pros: Nothing n
Cons: Again - door broken on connecting flight as was the first leg. American needs to better maintain their planes. This is ridiculous

Cons: delayed and lost luggage! thanks

Pros: Quick flight with no delays
Cons: Cramped seating.

Cons: Landing

Pros: Food and service was very good.
Cons: Relocating us to vacant seats so that we weren't crammed all together.

Pros: Good flight good crew
Cons: Hated the connection from terminal 5 to terminal 3 we should not have to go through the departure lounge this added 10 mins or more into a very tight connection.

Cons: Horrible food

Pros: I like the fact that I made it to Raleigh on time to make my connection
Cons: the fee should be more clearly explained for example many times you offer flights that have two connections or more to get a seat assignment on each connection you are required to pay unless you want to wait until the last minute also with this ticket you have to board last on the plane when you board last on the plane chances are there will be no place for your carry-on bags so I don't understand why this type of fair you promote because it's useless

Cons: Entirely too crowded.

Cons: Least favorite leg of the trip. The seats were super tight with very little room. The crew was the least friendly I have met. The food was the least pleasing I have ever had.

Pros: Good food service and friendly crew. No waits in line for bathrooms.
Cons: That my bag was overweight and I would have to get out of line and go to another section of the airport to rearrange my luggage, which would make it too time consuming. Had no choice but had to pay the steep charge!

Pros: Finnair uses the American Airlines flight for this destination. Non-stop flight Raleigh to Heathrow (round trip).. Fantastic, on time and comfortable aircraft.
Cons: It would have been easier to book our seat assignments if Fdfinnair had directed us to contact American Airlines directly to get seat assignments. Could not pre-select through Finnair. If you did not want the meat meal the vegetarian meals on both flights included mushrooms...not into fungi.

Pros: nothing was exceptional
Cons: Not the airlines fault but we had a long delay because of weather

Pros: Flight was delayed slightly, but pilot made up most of the time in the air. Everyone was polite and flight was totally uneventful.
Cons: Seat headrest was weird. Made flight slightly uncomfortable.

Pros: The flight was smooth and quick.
Cons: My departure changed three times, The first change was an 82-minute delay, then a 2-hour delay, then a 30-minute delay. Overall, the final departure as only 30 minutes after my initially scheduled departure, but it caused a lot of frustration.

Cons: Plane not ready to go because of missing trash bags

Pros: Good flight. Fairly comfortable flight. Attendants Were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The movie was mediocre. Biscuit cookie was tasteless. Would prefer peanuts or pretzels.

Pros: Landed on time. AA is mostly on or before schedule. Definitely like that part. Smooth flying as well.
Cons: No interactions with the crew this time. Boarding is okay.

Pros: Flt on time. Arrived on time
Cons: A young child screemed constantly. Not sure how you would address. Have had kids so been there

Pros: Crew was friendly and boarding was smooth
Cons: Plane took off a little late but not enough to mess up my plans

Cons: The airline "randomly" selected me for extra security. Even though I have TSA pre-check I was jostled around, sent to multiple security lines without any reasoning and the local Chicago TSA and airport staff didn't seem to know what to do. Once it was figured out I was subjected to what was essentially a cavity search. Again I HAVE TSA-pre-check but apparently that means nothing if an airline flags you. It was an extremely upsetting experience but you were in a situation of either agree to the invasive search or get stranded over 1000 miles from home. I will NEVER fly Iberia again after a cancelled flight and being stranded in the wrong country on the way to my vacation and the horrible security experience on the way back. I seriously may never go to Chicago either after seeing the complete lack of organization and traumatizing personal invasion. I fly a lot for work and have never had such a horrible experience. I would really like to know how many terrorists are caught with these invasive searches and would love to know the justification for sticking your hands inside someone's pants and grabbing their privates after they have already gone through a metal detector AND the body scanner. Especially for someone who has already passed a federal background check to obtain pre-check status. Absolutely ridiculous.

Pros: on time
Cons: very cold

Cons: When I finally got a seat on the plane, it was fine. The lady at the counter was very helpful!! She helped me get on a flight since LATAM had changed my flight until the next day.

Pros: We were able to be put in an exit row which was great - especially since my husband and I are very tall and it was a cross-country flight.
Cons: I find it ridiculous that on a cross-country flight they can't even offer pretzels or peanuts. There was NOTHING!!!! I have been on short hops on other airlines and you get something.

Pros: - Departure and arrival ahead of schedule - Great entertainment system and choices
Cons: - Rather uncomfortable seats and minimal leg room for a 5'11'' / 180 lbs passenger - Flight attendants were superficial (continuously overlooked / ignored me on the service cycles), I was seated on the window.

Pros: Flight was on time and service was good

Pros: Sat in the exit, very nice and comfortable Crew was very well dressed and polite
Cons: Boarding was very disorganized Flight was almost an hour late After getting on the plane, there was at least another 20 minute delay

Pros: The crew was decent.....better on the London to Raleigh flight, the crew on the Raleigh to London flight were not very nice at ALL.
Cons: I did not like that the ticket I purchased was a British Airways flight, but it was operated by American Airlines. The plane was SO outdated....it didn't even have personal screens. And the movies they played were old. I mean the Devil Wears Prada...COME ON!!!!! Also, the food on the way to London was extremely disappointing. I had chose the pasta with vegetables, and it was macaroni and cheese with broccoli. And not good macaroni, but more like the kind you make for your kids.

Cons: Someone had been sick on the plane. They cleaned it up but it still had a pretty decent residual odor to bear in an hour plus long flight.

Pros: It served the function of crossing the ocean. The crew was kind.
Cons: The airplane was outdated. It did not have personal entertainment suites at each seat. I haven't flown across the ocean without being able to choose my own movie in 3 years. Also, because of the outdated entertainment suite, the headphone jack is located in the armrest to the side instead of in the seat back in front of you. This caused me to bend my 3.5mm headphone connection at one point while I was moving my leg, because the connection jack is located below thigh level. The temperature was unbearable, and could not be controlled by the flight crew. Dressed for winter weather and roasted for the entire flight. I actually was dehydrated when we landed because I was sweating for 7 hours crossing the ocean.

Cons: They squeezed me into a new plane after saying there was absolutely no way for me to get home... hmm.

Pros: I was able to fall asleep and we didn't have to wait at the dock very long. Arrived on time and no delays.
Cons: They flight attendant I had who took my drink order seemed distracted and basically threw my pretzels down on my tray table.

Cons: AA was slow to act or communicate and was half hearted in their attempt to make up for the cancelled flight

Pros: No delays, speedy boarding and off boarding.
Cons: Nothing..it was great.

Pros: on time
Cons: cramped, no overhead space due to "backpacks and jackets" on inconsiderate passengers

Pros: Excellent experience & return flight on airbus plane was fantastic, reduced flight time by 1 hour. Great trip, thank you United Airlines
Cons: All great

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Better customer service with drinks and friendliness of crew

Pros: Crew was helpful.
Cons: None at this time.

Cons: All our chosen seats were disregarded the entire way from Munich back to Raleigh because the airline was switched to United. My family was separated on all flights, even though we chose seats over a month in advance.

Pros: The crew was great and very helpful. They properly stowed a box of crab legs someone had on the flight that wouldn’t fit in the overhead.
Cons: You gotta stop treating economy travelers like 2nd class citizens. The split level check-in at Newark is ridiculous with premium up top and easy to get to where there’s literally 2-3 customers. Versus economy where you need to take an elevator & then wait. no check on policy for economy is silly too

Cons: Flight was delayed 3x then cancelled. Had to take another flight to another airport to get home

Pros: Yes
Cons: Nothing

Cons: The seats were uncomfortable.

Cons: Did not seem to be able to control the movie, to restart, or FF or REWIND.

Pros: Orderly, quick, ontime boarding
Cons: Not being able to bring a carryon.

Pros: Short and sweet
Cons: Delayed due to ice

Pros: The crew (even at the gate) were great They pulled an extra plane for us to avoid an even longer delay
Cons: A 5 delay!!! The plane was COLD!!!

Pros: Got home alive,
Cons: loaded on flight THEN told there wasn't a pilot. Pilot got to work and announced we need fuel. Sat on airplane for two hours when we could have stayed in the terminal. You have had since Dec 17, 1903 to know that an airplane will not fly without a pilot and without fuel.

Pros: We paid to upgrade to economy plus for the extra leg room which made the flight more comfortable.
Cons: Seats do not recline

Pros: The roominess of the plane. Awesome.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Sinister manager at denver, inconsistently executed ski bag policies. we bought the extra legroom seats, only to find we were placed in separated middle seats at the back of the plane. When we spoke to a flight attendant about the mistake, she told us we could get off the plane and complain to the front desk....

Pros: I finally got home.
Cons: Because of the delayed flight from Munich, I missed my connection to RDU. When I arrived at the gate minutes after they closed the door, they did nothing to help. The gate agent directed me toward the United help desk, which in turn did nothing. After telling me it was not their problem because the delay was Lufthansa's fault, they finally gave me a telephone number to call Lufthansa. That number, as it happened, was incorrect.

Pros: The efficiency and professionalism was excellent. Both legs of my trip went great!

Pros: Boarding was efficient and crew was friendly on Christmas Day.
Cons: Economy plus slimline seats are uncomfortable, thankfully the flight was only 1.5 hours. No beverage service due to turbulence.

Pros: I liked the check-in and waiting area at the airport.
Cons: I did not like that we had to walk so much to the new gate assignment.

Cons: It was boiling hot on this flight.

Pros: Crew were friendly and attentive, service was great.
Cons: I was seated in the last row, by lavatory door. The plane smelled bad and I could hear a distressed dog barking below. Vinyl seats left my shirt sweaty.

Pros: Better than I expected, given the bad publicity of late
Cons: My aisle seat has miniscule foot room

Pros: Custodian found us blankets and water
Cons: Zero effort in San Francisco after my first flight was delayed leaving Seattle and arriving there late and missing my connection.

Cons: This flight didn't happen. It was cancelled for "weather" hours before we were even to board. Because the cancellation was due to weather, the airline wasn't responsible for picking up the hotel to get on the first flight the next morning. When I finally got home, my bag wasn't even on the flight with me.

Pros: I was returning from an international flight, and had carried my smallish rollerboard +1 personal bag all through (including outbound) with no problems. Just on the last leg, IAD to RDU, the gate agent forced me to check the bag, even though the flight was not full, and the bag could easily fit in the overhead bin. I was in Group 3.
Cons: Forced to gate check rollerboard for no reason.

Pros: One of us had the last seat on the plane even though they were reserved almost a month ago. However we had signed up for basic economy so that was not a shock. What was a shock was that water was dripping from the top side track onto his lap and he had to use the provided brochures to redirect the dripping water. The steward said it was condensation and that was it. Also, since it was next to bathroom, the smell wasn't great and the small child screaming while waiting to get into the bathroom wasn't pleasant.

Cons: I checked in my free bags with with my united access in the check-in counter, no issues. I stand in the gate line for Premier access and the gate crew lady asked me to go and pay for a carry on bag in a very loud voice and asked me to get out of premier access line. When I asked her to take a look at my premier access status, she said stop yelling. Then another man in a suit walks in and first word out of his mouth is not an apology, but a threatening "Don't yell". I just kept walking away from this unqualified person lest it goes out of control. United needs to do a lot better. Just because these gate crew people feel stressed out, they should not take on innocent travelers. Instead of putting a customer under a defensive position, they need to learn to respect the customer. United is training their crew in a wrong way..

Cons: A gal that sat with me on the first flight had seat 15a on the flight to Raleigh, she gets very sick and needed the window seat....BUT. you folks are so screwed up at ticketing that you NEVER book families together. I've flow with you folks 20 years and its always been a hassle. She was asked to move to the back of the plane (seat 32) a middle seat...where she was sick the whole ride so you could do the "shuffle" of passengers....it's poor business practice. When I have a choice I fly SW now.

Cons: The business class seats are worn and the entertainment options are very limited compared to Delta.

Pros: Crew was nice
Cons: The delay after delay, the chaotic boarding

Cons: Checking my bag was lousy...lax attention from limited staff and poor attitude of one ticket agent. DC airport was kind of a mess. TSA was disorganized, technology not working, calls for help from TSA officials went unanswered. It seemed strange to me that the airport of our nation's capitol would be so unprofessional. I felt like I kept encountering very unhappy and not so customer-focused staff. Flight itself was fine.

Pros: It got me to where I was going.
Cons: Had to pay extra for entertainment.

Pros: Friendly staff, on time, small snack was good
Cons: Very little space in seat

Pros: Honestly, nothing for this flight. Delayed, rude crew, seat assignment mess up, etc.
Cons: No food in a previous 4 hour flight, plus being early at gate, plus travel to airport. A lot of time without eating, expensive flights and no food. As a matter of fact only 1 tiny bitty snack for the entire flight. Very uncomfortable plane! Asking to pay for entertainment Direct TV, are you kidding me??? Those tickets are not cheap and you can't provide entertainment? Charging for everything extra is outrageous. Crew was a bit rude. And the people at the counter at the gate -very rude and unhelpful. Flight delayed on Christmas night and no refund for all that time wasted without being with the family. I had seats together with my husband and then seats were removed, asked to see an agent when printed boarding pass and then got separate seats. You are a joke and do not respect the money we pay and prearranged seat assignments. United you are a terrible airline, please strive for better customer service. You charge a lot.

Cons: My baggage was lost and after a long day that's the last thing you wanna hear....but someone delivered it to me 2 hours away first thing the next morning.

Cons: I get that it's the weather but this whole experience has been hectic. I have been bounced around 3-4 different flights in the last 12 hours yet have boarded 0 to get to where I am going. Each one canceled then delayed then missed because of the delay and re-routed. It just seems like a free for all.

Pros: Nice seats and lots of space
Cons: Rude crew on board

Pros: Lots of room in the seats and for legs. Clean. Friendly staff.
Cons: That I couldneed watch TV without paying for it. Such a short flight to pay 7.99.

Pros: I was impressed with the fact that our crew initiated an alternate route so we could actually get to RDU when things had been pretty dicey. Excellent flying and landing under difficult circumstances.

Pros: Flight was 30 minutes early
Cons: Fully booked plane

Cons: The gentleman beside me had 2 children with him but only purchased 2 seats. He and his children were in my lap and kicking me the entire time. It was a full flight so I couldn't change seats. I paid $330 for a FULL seat to myself, not so I could share the space with the people beside me because United allowed them to purchase 2 seats for 3 people. As a full-paying customer I shouldn't be the one to suffer because of it.

Pros: boarding was efficient and fast; easy check in
Cons: oversold flight with 16+ standbys multiple flight delays with vague or no explanations

Pros: Pilot was excellent, didn't even feel the wheels touch down at RDU. It was a turbulent flight with thunderstorms (barely too bumpy for drink service) but Captain made it as smooth as possible and also kept us well informed what to expect. Plane was also on time, though many flights that day were late.

Cons: The flight was cancelled after a 3 hour delay. The next flight out was from a different airport, 14 hours later and with another connection. I would not have arrived home for another 28 hours. I decided to rent a car and drive the 4.5 hours home instead. Processing the refund has been nearly impossible.

Pros: The flight overall went fast - boarded, took off, landed within an hour.
Cons: There was only one snack - a zesty ranch snack mix. I couldn't eat it because it was a little spicy. I was not offered an alternative, I don't know if there was one.

Pros: Everything Was good crew courteous
Cons: Everything was good

Pros: No delays, was actually 35 minutes early on my return flight, attendants were especially kind to me and helped me out significantly, and I was pleased with the free in-flight entertainment via the free Wifi. Overall, a Good experience with United.
