Cons: Flight was delayed due to weather. That is understandable. However the crew was not helpful in sharing any information with customers about changes to connecting flights. Much time was wasted and I had to reschedule my flight. The staff members that booked my hotel and my new flight were short and brief and not very helpful or accommodating or informative. Overall I didn’t not feel like a welcomed guest and I do not feel enough compensation was offered for such an inconvenience. Not being able to have my bag overnight was a hassle. I had no clean clothes and had to throw out my contacts because I had no solution. I also couldn’t use the meal voucher they gave me because everywhere in the airport was closed by that time. No stipend was given for toiletries or food delivery. Very unimpressed.

Cons: I didn’t like the male and female check in people in Portland. They sat there and watched me for an hour not telling me I could not use cash to check in my luggage at the gate after they told me it was double the amount to check it in at the gate. The sight u use on the boarding pass u download on the phone is not clear. It says baggage fee +$25.00. I thought it was 25.00 till the women in Phoenix showed me the + sign. She said “it is confusing”. I did not buy the ticket because it was for an unexpected funeral of my sister. My other sister did so I didn’t see all the stuff from Travelocity. After telling me it would be $50.00 the check in male and female at the gate saw me sitting there for an hour and never told me I couldn’t pay cash. By the time it was boarding time if a nice woman did not offer to use her credit card and I have her the $50 cash I would have missed my flight. The manager at the gate in Portland even told me I would miss my flight. The two check in staff at the gate said “well we didn’t know you only had cash” and they weren’t even concerned that I was going to miss my flight. It would of been nice of them to tell me this when I sat there for an hour after they told me They we’re doubling the price. I would of had time to go back through security, only pay $25.00 and the other nice passenger would have not had to use her credit card. Very rude and poor service especially after a sad occasion of burying your sister!

Cons: We were not able to print our boarding passes the day before as expected per the website and purchase docs for the tickets, despite providing passport numbers (several times) and Global Entry registrations. Had to go to a ticket desk at first departure and third departure points to have them printed, with no explanations given. Also not allowed to choose our seats for the third leg. Food was barely edible. Paid extra for roomier seats on one leg, making it more comfortable, but were extremely tight on another leg which had many empty seats scattered throughout the cabin. Cabin attendants seemed more interested in pushing items that generated revenue than providing the ones that came with the ticket (which is never cheap to begin with).

Cons: Due to mechanical issues our 8am flight kept getting delayed in 30 minute increments until around 9:45 when the front desk attendants told us the necessary part had to be driven from Seattle and wouldn't be available until noon, and that their was no certainty the part would work, and that we should make other arrangements. So we did, but their earliest we could get us into Chicago was 9:30pm (original arrival was 2pm). We booked the arrangements only to find out that our original flight took off at 10:55 and American didn't even attempt to contact us. The cherry on top was that our flight (which was indirect through SFO) got delayed and we're now going to miss our connection in SFO. So currently looking at 10:30pm arrival in Chicago.

Cons: They wouldn't allow me to check my bag at the main gate so I had to go through security and check it at the boarding gate. Souvenirs were confiscated because the bag couldn't be check sooner. Then they tagged my bag with the wrong name and destination. It was 48 hours later before I got my bag.

Cons: I used to fly with American Airlines a lot more and every time the staff somehow finds a way to be rude and ruin my day so I try to avoid this airline. On this particular flight it was the very rude asian flight attendant that really set the mood. The attitude of the staff really makes or breaks the experience and it seems like American Airlines doesnt care about the quality of thier employees

On Wednesday we boarded late and pushed people’s flights back because the cleaners didn’t show up at boarding time and at landing time we had to go back up when the prior flight was still on the runway.

Cons: I didn't like that my friends, who bought their tickets at the same time I did, with their own cards and checked in at the same time as me, didn't get a seat number. I had one assigned when my ticket printed out, after I checked in at the airport after they did. They had to wait until boarding was almost complete before they were afforded a seat. Seemed really strange. With United already having a bad name from recent stories on the news, it made us worry. Don't like worrying when it has anything to do with an airplane.

Pros: The agent in San Francisco was awesome and even went out of her way to bump me to a better seat. Leaving Portland was easy, crew were super organized!
Cons: No entertainment systems were working at all. Leaving San Francisco to kahului we had so many unruly young adults that were just out if control. They kept switching seats, spilling alcohol all over me and my stuff and the flight crew could not care less. We even had an older Asian flight attendant on flight 1749 that was just overwhelmed for the job. She would hand the person on the isle a handful of pretzels and say 'here, pass these out'. The other flight crew members made it worse by treating her poorly. You could tell they didn't like her and were agitated by her. Instead if being polite and educating, they were exasperated and impatient. Overall was super disappointed. I have flown United so many times back home to Maui and was always so please and excited to brag about how great United was. Not this time. Thanks for reading.

Cons: Many things. Starting from the online/mobile check in process via United airlines. I was not given any other option but to check in through the United website. On that website I was not allowed to check in for my Lufthansa flights and i was stuck with seats I did not want in my 2 long intercontinental flights. This has happened before. Lufthansa has no option to check in online if my first flight leg is united. This is a very big drawback and also the reason I would not prefer to fly Lufthansa again. United is bringing the quality down.

Cons: Landed 15 minutes early, waited for the gate open , then ended up 10 minutes late in a different gate further away from my next gate that we had a short connect time to . It's obvious that United spends all its money on frequent fliers so the rest of us are left to fend for ourselves .

Cons: The crew was noticeably rude to both passengers as well as to other crew members. They made it obvious that they didn't want to be there and were less than accommodating when the overhead bins ran out of space.

Cons: Being packed into the seats like sardines, not nearly enough leg room and even when reclined the chair sits too up right. When the seat in front of me leans back, I can't even lay my head down on the tray table because the space is too small for me to bend forward. So I'm forced to sit up right on two long flights, the first didn't even have in-flight entertainment. I can't imagine someone bigger than me (5'4" 150 lbs) being able to even reach the floor if something was dropped.

Cons: First when seated there was no room for even my purse in the overhead storage. I had to hold everything in my lap. My ticket seats were separated when I was sure I booked the seats together. The blanket given to my seat was in package but was used and very vile smelling. The flight attendant was very rude, had an attitude when I asked for a drink after I wasn't offered one. When landing and I was asleep, flight attendant hit my head to wake me up to adjust my seat to the correct position rather then in a polite way. Also luggage was not with the rest of the planes luggage and on a differnt carousel. I travel often and are use to glitches, but when cleanliness and attitude come into the picture those are things that can be controlled. I wish to no longer travel with United again.

I work at Nordstrom so maybe my expectations are a bit high when it comes to customer service, but if I owned united airlines I would be ashamed of the way United employees treat people. I paid an extra 300 than I had to to get to Hartford Connecticut at the time I chose when purchasing the ticket. Every plane was delayed. EVERY FLIGHT by at least an hour. I missed my connections and was rebooked twice. the average joe customer service lines were ridiculous with the separate priority line having first dibs. The first customer service man I met with was helpful and kind. With the exception of that man and one flight attendant on my trip back to Portland, every employee was indifferent, condescending and in some cases, actually mean. I say that seriously! (I can't believe it either). I am not a difficult person to get along with and I never showed upset despite the many mishaps I encountered on this trip. Customer service is so important and could have made up for the obvious poor planning and lack of communication by which united airlines functions. Unfortunately, I would rather fly any other airline if given the choice after this trip. Even spirit (and let me tell you, I've only flown spirit once and there is a good reason for that). So disappointing. I am upset over my experience and again, will avoid this airline at all costs in the future whenever possible.

Cons: This company is a scam. You pay a extra fee for everything Printing your boarding pass that will be $10. oh wait you want to take a carry on bag that will be $45. You want to check in a bag that will be $45. If you do decide to check in a bag or a carry on make sure the demensions and weight is correct there will be another fee for any luggage that doesn’t fit their rules. Make sure you get a drink in the airport ahead of time because once again they charge for standard drinks while on the plane, the extra charges just never stop! In all reality it is not worth the savings in plane ticket because of all the additional inflated prices they get you on.

Cons: Our plane had to turn around due to technical difficulties which was ok because we made it back safe but the staff handling our rescheduling was clueless. They told us to call a number so we didn't have to wait in line to talk to the counter agent and the person on the phone actually fought with me telling me I had indeed made it to me destination even though I had explained the scenario multiple times and eventually told me he couldn't do anything for me so I waited in line for 3 hours with no answers. Eventually they put us back on the plane we were on earlier.

Pros: I liked that my flight was on time, boarding was organized and swift, the staff were friendly. I had a very short flight and most of the basics in customer service were met.
Cons: Even though my flight was short, my pilot for the departing flight was a bit out of control for both departure and landing. There was no wind when I got to my destination which made me wonder why the pilot was so out of control with landing. I ended up vomiting on the plan before descending. (for my return flight I took Dramamine and the pilot made me feel safe so no troubles upon return) Also, I did not appreciate that if I needed water, I would have to purchase it. There are not many places in the USA where I HAVE to buy water if I need it.

Cons: It was a midnight flight. The people behind our seats talked all night loudly. The price for a carry on was astronomical. the seat charge is rediculus. The seats are uncomfortable and do not recline at all We will never fly Spirit air lines again

Cons: Seats are very tight and very thin. As a 6'4" person, I expect to be cramped in planes; however, I have never been able to feel the knees of the person behind me through the seat on other airlines. Trash in seat back pockets.

Cons: I disliked that if I didn't prebook my suitcases online ahead of time I'm charged a larger fee at the desk even when I'm a club member with the airline. Then I was told to pay my overage weight fee online and that isn't an option on the website. So when the person at the desk went to charge me she said it was $50 when if I'd have just paid for 2 suitcases online it would have been $10 cheaper. I also think it's crazy to charge customers for a cup of water on the flight especially one that's 3.5hours long. I get the airline is cheap and offers cheap flights but to nickel and dime customers for even water is crazy. The seats were also very very close tofether so that your knees are almost crammed into the person's seat in front of you. My husband use to be in the airborne unit in the military and said those flights with all his gear and no frils was more comfortable than this flight. I highly doubt we'll ever use spirit airlines again unless it's the only option or if it's under 1.5hrs to fly to my destination. I'm not sure I could endure must longer of a flight on their planes.

Cons: Rude people. We printed our boarding pass and no one told us it cost money to bring a bag on the plane. It was 60$?!,!!? Absolutely ridiculous. Never using spirit again. They aren't the cheapest if you have a bag.

Cons: That they are not up front about paying an extra $10 to print the boarding pass in airport each way AND that I was not aware that you do not get a free personal item and carry-on. I had to pay an extra $50 each way for my carry-on (total $100 which was same amount for the ticket). I didn't budget for this and found out last minute. The other passengers didn't seem to follow the size restrictions as far as carry-on and in speaking with them, I don't believe they actually paid like I did. Could've saved that $100. Wow. I could've taken Jet Blue for the same price with free personal item and carry-on with free snack service AND movie.

Cons: After being told there was a mechanical issue with the plane (already nerve-wracking) we waited an hour to receive any additional updates. The flight crew then told us that the flight was "99% canceled." After that, everyone in the area got up to wait in line, but instead of helping people rebook their flights immediately, the flight crew just disappeared and never came back. I ended up re-booking with a different airline and had to call customer service in order to have my money refunded for that flight. I did receive two travel vouchers, but I'd rather just have the $100 because I'll never book with Spirit Airlines again. Not to mention the literal 280 emails I received the exact same email update over and over and over again telling me that my flight was delayed until the next day. That's right, they never canceled (as they should have) and just delayed it further and further. If I had just waited around for updates from the delay, I would have had to spend the night in the airport and miss work the next day (which I already had to do because I had to rebook with another airline). Thank GOD I didn't have any checked luggage or I really would have been screwed.

Cons: We were on a multi city trip when our flight on Spirit was cancelled. The only options were take the flight the next day, get a refund or a travel voucher for another flight. In reality none of these options were acceptable. We ended up having to take the flight the next day which required us to send additional monies for another hotel night and an additional day car rental. Spirit refused to absorb any of the additional costs involved in the delay.They also refused to try and rebook us on another airline to make our arrival at the next stop. Customer service is a complete joke. Spirit did not notify us of the cancellation. Our host at the hotel on our next stop notified us that the flight was cancelled as he received notification from the limo service. This was as we were driving to the airport for the flight that was cancelled. The nickel and dime approach to make up for the lower airfare was ridiculous and petty. We have not been treated so poorly by any airline in the past and we travel frequently.

Cons: We had a medical emergency at the airport and had to go to the hospital and missed our flight. Our sons needed to go home. The attendant at the desk split the boarding pass and told us we could fly out the next day with a hospital release. I called Spirit to book for the next day and was told it takes 48 hours for approval. I told her we could not stay for two more days that we needed to get home so my husband could get additional medical attention and she said there was nothing she could do. Long story short- if anything goes wrong with your booking on this airline, in which everything is an additional cost, they will not help. We booked with another airline to get home. The Spirit experience was stressful and I would never fly with this airline again

Pros: Efficient boarding is the only good thing I can say.
Cons: The crew was nice but pushy. On both flights they kept focusing on people's bags under their chairs with unnecessary persistence. Since Spirit doesn't really offer anything at all they just stood at the front of the plane after flying through with the cart that only offered something you have to pay for. Then at the end, annoyed everyone trying to sell them the credit card. Both flights were over an hour delayed due to missing mechanic paperwork. The flight was not cheaper then other flights but matched up to the times I needed - (After the delays, not really) and so I booked. Totally forgot I was going to get charged an outrageous amount for my carry-on. This airline is a crock. AVOID.

Cons: I payed nearly twice the sticker price with all the hidden fees. What they don't tell you is that they charge for carryon and luggage, and are allowed to change those prices whenever and to whatever amount they want. They tried to make me pay to print my boarding pass, and both my flights were delayed one by 20 minutes, and the trip back by over an hour and a half. Both the planes I flew on were old and outdated and they don't even offer water without a price tag. Never going to fly with them again.

Pros: Nothing at all. They changed our gate back and forth several times.
Cons: Wasn't clear that you have to pay $50 each way for your carry on. This made my $100 ticket 210 with the tax from the carry ons. Just didn't make sense to me thag i paid more to fly a bag than I paid to fly myself. No logic here and if it would have been clear before I purchased i wouldn't have booked with spirit airlines. You also have to pay for any beverage or food on the plane as well as pay for your seat on your plane. Essentially you buy a ticket to have the opportunity to buy a seat on a plane. Again no logic.

Pros: I am scared of Flying. My son sent me a ticket to spend the First Christmas with his 10 Month old Twins! Although his gift was my Ticket, he still had to pay a substantial fee to check one bag. When I looked at my email from Spirit, I saw that I even had to pay for my Carry-on!! I tried to communicate that to my Son, but he was getting conflicting information from phone calls and Spirit online. Finally, after much angst, He had an agreement that my other Son who spent the days before Christmas with me, would take care of the Baggage fees at the airport when he drove me on his way back to New England, if needed. A substantial fee WAS then needed for the carry-on. Traveling on Christmas, and trying to save money on a flight was my goal when you are being given such a wonderful gift, but it was difficult for me to see the cost go up and op each step along the way, that increased what my sons had to pay on my behalf and the time and communications they had to go through (they are a Doctor and a Professor), in order to do something so nice for me! It is great that Spirit has low fees, but carry-on fees outside of the ticket price are particularly troubling and not being able to have water or my trusted Diet Coke on a flight from LA to MD on a Red Eye without paying for it is extreme! Your Pilots and staff along the way were GREAT and Helpful I have flown many, many times here and abroad, but I have never seen 4 sets of Pilots any better or more competent on take-offs and landings than your Pilots! They have been trained well. I have to go on another trip to OR in July for a special event. I live on a fixed income, and would fly Spirit again based on my experience.
Cons: The obscure Tag Ons along the way. Your communication is not absolutely CLEAR to the person buying the INITIAL ticket from Spirit or another ticket servicer like Kayak. Costs for 1 Carry-on and Water and soda should be included in the ticket Cost.

Cons: - I get you're trying to make Spirit "FUN" and I'm a Millennial who works in advertising so I'm assuming this is part of your Brand but everything from cabin announcements to safety procedures to flight attendants asking for trash, attendants FORGETTING ON THE INTERCOM FORGETTING WHAT THEY WERE GOING TO SAY "I forgot what I was going to say, my brain isn't working today" - it bordered UNPROFESSIONIAL - and personally I felt it was trying too hard, flat jokes - it looks SLOPPY not "cool" - SERIOUSLY $36 for a carry-on each way?! MOST EXPENSIVE FLIGHT TO PORTLAND I'VE EVER SPENT IN THE PAST 10 YEARS. You tack these one AFTER we purchase the non-refundable flight. It's deceptive my friends/family and I all vowed to NEVER FLY SPIRIT AGAIN and we go up to the Pacific Northwest every year. - Plastic seats - the person behind had their knees were against my seat because the space is so small - he felt bad - I felt bad - and there was leftover trash in my seat

Cons: I went all the way though security to find out that (unlike Any other airlines) that i needed to physically print my tickets out so I needed to get out of line and go all the way to the kiosk (the farthest kiosk from security) to get my physical ticket then back through security. But while I was at the kiosk to get my physical ticket printed out the the worker was texting on her phone instead of helping the people out that are in line. I get through security and to my gate and I am getting on the plane for them to tell me I need to pay an extra $50 per person for carry on bags and they were very rude and not willing to help out at all. I told the girls at the gate that they were very rude and that I would be writing a review to their bosses and they told me that it doesn't matter and that they aren't going to do anything different for me.

Cons: I was surprised to find out that the bag weight limit was only 40 lbs rather than the usual 50 lbs. I had to open up my back pack my carry on and my checked bag and reload everything at the check in counter. What a circus. The ridiculous part of this whole thing is that I still took the same amount of weight with me and all that was accomplished was to make me uncomfortable and make those behind me wait for the show to end. When I printed my boarding pass it said TSA PreCheck on it. I'm thinking, at least I get to take the short line and dont have to get the full TSA "treatment". Well the TSA lady tells me that Spirit doesn't do PreCheck. I pointed out to her that the boarding pass said I in fact did have a PreCheck pass. No go, had to leave that line and go get in the long line after discussing this with the TSA lady. Spirit, really? What a mess!!

Cons: The fact that they charge so much for bags and that I didn't know that they also charged for carry on bags. The staff was miserable, the seats didn't recline. Overall it was the worst airlines that I have ever been on and I never want to fly them again.

Pros: Flight took off on time and arrived sooner than scheduled. The price was rock bottom. Staff was courteous. Spirit is budget focused and does everything to make flying simple and low cost.
Cons: No usb outlets to charge your phone. They scare you into thinking that if you have carry on luggage they will charge you an extra $55 each way on their check in system. I took mine and wasn't charged. Upon entering the cabin, it was warm. The air conditioning was intentionally turned off till take off to save money-not a big deal for me but could bother others. At end of flight, we have to shut the windows closed for the next shift to keep it cool-strange. If you are over 6ft tall or are wide bodied don't fly coach on Spirit. Seats are thin plastic and cushions are not forgiving or adjustable. If you are a college student or young family, this airline is your best bet to stay on budget if you have high tolerance. If you are more business/lifestyle/social vacation traveller, try paying an extra $60-$90 more and the travel part will become part of what makes you smile instead of what you try to tolerate.

Cons: My flight was relocated from 3 different gates before finally boarding late. Middle seat in between 2 grown men was super uncomfortable. There were extra seats on the plane but only the crew was able to use them to spread out.

Pros: Boarding was alright, pretty quick and that's about it.
Cons: Well let's start at the check in, so I got to an airport about 40 minutes before my boarding(usually what I do when I fly with Southwest), went on to check in my bag, once I got there the receptionist was extremely rude, as well as uneducated on the layout of the gates, as soon as my bag got checked in she threw it off the scale and told me to move on as soon as I asked her why she is being so aggressive with my baggage. Then when I was boarding there were no smiles by the crew, the seats were extremely uncomfortable, and I was waiting for a water for about 15 minutes asked a crew member again and she responded with "You are not the only passenger here, I will bring you your water once I'm done with other passengers" and for the 15 minutes I did not see her help a single customer. I am so disappointed in this flight that I am not flying with them back, instead I spent just a bit more and will fly out of Chicago with a different airline. Avoid spirit airlines at all costs!

Pros: Cheap to fly on such short notice.
Cons: I did not like the fact that they want to charge for EVERYTHING!!! $65 for a carry on and you can't get NOTHING to drink. NOT EVEN WATER for free!!! There was no interaction from the crew. Did not ask if I was comfortable!

Pros: Nothing - awful experience. I will not use Spirit Airlines again.
Cons: My flight was canceled a few hours before scheduled departure with no stated reason (I was notified via email). I could not get a real person on the line through Spirit Airlines automated customer service. I did end up getting a refund but had to purchase a flight through another airline to be able to leave as planned and not ruin my vacation.

Pros: The flight crew was very nice and placed a high value on service.
Cons: I didn't like that the bag fees where not disclosed in a more effective way I had a small carry on that I was charged 110 each way to take. With the price of the ticket plus the 110 fee I could have flown a non-discount airline with in flight Service. I was very disapponted. I really would tell people not to fly this airline in the future.

Cons: Spirit airline charged me $100 for carry on bag because it is 1 inch higher than their accepted carry on. I travle even month twice at least international and local and I never got this crazy rule. I will never use it again or recommend this airline to anyone.

Cons: Kayak needs a HUGE warning about the baggage fees with this airline. I had to pay $84 for my small carry on!!! I should have just booked with Delta once all the additional fees came through!!

Cons: Crew was nice. SO expensive to check bags and they lost one of mine. It was never sent to my destination and didn't have a bag for my whole trip. Even though the flight itself was a bit cheaper, it's so uncomfortable on the plane, and just not worth it.

Cons: This airline is inceridibly disorganized and will find every way to make sure you are hit with some sort of fee unless you read the fine print. Not only that, our flight got delayed in Portland. Our friends also got their gate changed at the last minute in Chicago. My other friend got delayed in Orlando so he missed his connection flight.

Cons: Sat at the gate fully boarded on a packed flight and sweated while the air conditioner was serviced. Should have at least opened the doors for some air flow or deplaned during the servicing. The seatbacks not reclining was terrible, as it was an overnight flight.

Cons: This airline charges for everything, the seats are uncomfortable, the tray tables were tiny and dirty, the flight attendants have no idea what is going on, they push the spirit credit card (about a 15 minute pitch over the intercom), we had a five hour layover when other flights were available, and it was only a few dollars cheaper than other airlines. I will never fly with Spirit again.

Cons: Charged for baggage, changed for over weight, changed for seats, over charged for food

Pros: The price was great, and I am ok with having to purchase baggage and other stuff in advance, though charging $50 for a carry-on is a bit excessive. I would definitely consider using them again for very short flights (2 hours or less). Staff on the red eye was kinda cranky, but the return flight staff was friendly. Departure and Arrivals were right on for both flights and the pilot made sure to warn us of turbulence in advance.
Cons: While I understand the concept of the "ala carte" method of traveling, it really was not clear that none of the seats actually recline at all! I will NEVER use Spirit for a "red eye" flight ever again (or any flight over 3 hours)! The amount of money saved wasn't worth what I have ended up spending in chiropractic care afterwards from having my back seize up on me from the uncomfortableness of those seats and trying to sleep sitting straight up! We decided to upgrade to an exit row for the flight home just to have some extra leg room, but still with no reclining of seats (the only 4 seats that recline were already taken)..... the comfort level was not there at all, other than at least our knees weren't bumping against the seat in front of us, like on the red-eye.

Pros: Spirit is affordable and economical. You certainly get what you pay for. If you want just a seat one a plane to your destination, your ticket bought that. Oh, you want a bag or two? Pay for those too. I don't even mind that. It provides incentive to pack less, have less, and overall be more efficient.
Cons: Both flights boarded at least 20 minutes late. However, considering how many people live their lives from one late arrival to another, it makes sense to board late. Both flights arrived on time though, and that's what is important.

Pros: The price and/or schedule would be the only reason to fly Spirit. Flight was on time.
Cons: The carry on policy is terrible. The seats don't recline. They beat you up with baggage fees, both for checked and carry on. They claim to have the newest fleet but the return flight's plane was a beater. If you are flying with someone you won't be guaranteed seats together, unless you pay for them. I could have flown Delta for 17 dollars more and wish I had. Must have printed boarding pass or be charged ridiculously at the airport. To much hassle to be worth the savings.

Pros: The plane arrived in Las Vegas within a half hour of its scheduled time.
Cons: Cramped, late.
