Flight was three hours late
Crew was very pleasant and helpful. One flight attendant stood out: he was so sincerely nice & welcoming. As we were preparing to deplane, another flight attendant congratulated him on finishing his first week as a Delta flight attendant. He then told us this was his new second career and that he was a retired police lieutenant. Impressive.
Flight was smooth. Captain was polite and reassure our safe flight. Made it home 15 min early too!
Snarky flight attendant needs a break since she is obviously appears burnt out.
Would have been nice to start boarding earlier considering how many families there were and how long it takes to load young babies/kids etc onto a plane.

Cons: "I sat next to a creepy intoxicated man during my flight and I was not helped out. When I first sat down he was speaking to me and trying to hit on me but I showed that I wasn’t interested. I didn’t even have to sit down to smell the alcohol on him. During the flight he tried to place his head on my shoulder and tried to get close to me. I was too worried to call for an attendant because he was intoxicated but when the attendants would come and offer us food I tried to make it clearly visible that I was anxious and uncomfortable and NOTHING. To make it worse they continued to serve him alcohol!!"

Cons: "The plane boarded and left gate a little late but had a maintenance issue with one of its doors so plane had to return to gate. We finally got off the ground almost three hours late but staff tried to be as helpful as possible though they didn’t know much. It was good the passengers seemed fairly patient and accepting. The horror was at the airport in Venice where it took over two hours in very long line just to get through passport check."

Cons: "The crew was nice and everything, but they weren't very good at making announcements on the loudspeaker. You could tell they didn't really know what they were saying or haven't practiced. One lady was trying to make a sales pitch for a new master card and you could tell she was reading and there were long pauses. My sense is that when using the loudspeaker to talk to the entire flight, one should be practiced and know what they're saying and communicate quickly and efficiently. Don't mean to be critical, but it's something that I noticed that could be improved."

I was sitting in the back and the flight attendant who was suppose to assist us made us feel like i was a bother to her. First of all she just rudly dropped biscuits on my table didnt ask if i wanted and then I had to ask her for coffee, she didnt ask me if i wanted something to drink. Finally she brought my daughter and I some coffee. i ask for sugar and she said im very busy you have to wait....eventually she gave me one packet of sugar. I had to ask for another sugar for my daughter , so when i ask she gets upset and tells me i have to wait but there as a white who ask for assistance and she was very polite to her."

Nearby passengers retrieved blankets from their carry on baggage. Glad I had at least a light jacket to throw over me and that my legs were partially covered. Guess it's better to be too cool than too hot. Otherwise. It was s great flight ."

The representative couldn’t help me so i asked to be transferred to a manager, after 2 hours i was transferred and the manager hung the phone up. Long story short i called back spoke to another manager Yana and she was the rudest lady ever! She basically told me for waiting to long i will have to be placed on a flight 2 days after my cancellation flight. I started to cry because i needed to be home and she basically did not care so i took the date. Never again and i will warn everyone about this airline and their customer service!"

American Airlines provides warm nuts and a fresh baked cookie and I had to pay more for the upgrade than I did on American for a longer flight."

Cons: "United employee working by the kiosk's was rude and totally UN-helpful. Told me to find someone else to help me. So I did and she was great, took a whole minute to do what needed to be done. Said that the rude employee was like that EVERY day w customers. I said, time to get rid of that employee! Then....a fuel spill, then unload people who were on the plane, then talk of cancelling, then ok to start boarding again. Late leaving, late arriving. But...free snack mix and direct tv to apologize. Big deal! Poor management for a monopoly company."

It is clearly a business decision and United makes more money that way; but at what cost? If I pay for a flight; at minimal, I expect to get to my destination. Service, comfort, entertainment and all other categories rank a distant second to getting to one's destination. That is the primary function of an airline and United has compromised that through the overbooking practice."

Pros: "The seats on the plane where nice and spacious. One employee from customer service named Aisha was a great help and took the time to listen to my issues and help get me on a new flight"
Cons: "The company overall is completely unorganized and majority of the employees are disrespectful and unwilling to help. During my layover in Washington DC my gate number was changed I was never informed despite signing up for notifications and having an eTicket that was never updated. When I asked one of the employees for the proper gate number they gave me another gate number that was incorrect I ran to that gate and the person there than give me the correct number but by the time I got to that gate I missed my flight After dealing with that I was lucky enough to talk to somebody who was helpful at the customer service table. She did her best to accommodate myself and three other friends unfortunately the next flight was over booked and only had two seats open. When I tried to explain to the attendants by gate A6 (Jackie and E Badi) that I have a party of four and I could not leave anyone behind they called security on me for not going on the plane. Once the security officers came they heard both stories saw that this was a waste of their time and told us all to file a complaint after getting the employees names. I would never recommend this airline to anyone traveling!!!"

Apparently, from speaking with friends in the area, United has a horrible reputation for getting anywhere on time. Why couldn't they have just given us ground transportation and let us drive to Charlottesville? It would have been quicker!"

Cons: "I did not like that they printed my ticket for my connecting flight for EVA Air without any EVA Air markings. This meant that when I arrive at LAX I was giving directions to the United Airlines terminal when I really needed to be at the terminal for Eva Airlines. This caused me to almost missed my flight with Eva Airlines. For the remainder of my trip EVA airline staff were quite grumpy with me for being 45 minutes late boarding. I actually am thankful that I believe they held the plane that 45 minutes for me. It just seems too convenient that the plans out there that long after its scheduled takeoff."
