Cons: "Three delays. From takeoff time of 9:50 to 10:40 to 11:23 to 12:05. The ostensible delay was the incoming plane, which landed before 10 PM but - lo and behold, it was an international flight, surely something we didnt know when it took off - it went to gate 94 and had to be cleared blah blah blah. Each delay was predictable and JetBlue could easily have simply informed the passengers that we would be delayed 90-120 minutes rather than stringing us along with bite sized delays with insipid explanations. If there was really anything to JetBlues "award winning customer service" I would imagine they would have not insulted everyone's intelligence and been honest about the delays - which pushed arrival time to 2 am. I travel a good bit - three or four times a month - but cant remember the last time I flew JetBlue. JetBlue will certainly be right there with Frontier and Allegiant on airlines I'll seek to avoid. I dont know if it was just base level incompetence or if they dialed it up for the occasion, but it was on full display for the holidays."

When speaking on phone with agent, I was told it wasn't due to weather but incident at LaGuardia where plane went off runway. I paid $130.00 for 5 hours in a hotel, due to pilot error, not weather. La Guardia opened it's other runway immediately after and other airports in NewYork were running fine. Completely unacceptable and extremely bad customer service as CSR simply told us "sorry we can't help". Will never book with West Jet again."

Due to the fact that there are many more people than flights I take on other planes the only recommendation I have is to bored people maybe 5 minutes sooner. They are adequate for comfort, but I would not suggest long flights on them since they are not super soft or spacious."
Cons: "Frontier does a number with charging you extra fees for everything after you purchase your cheap ticket. For example, if you have a cary on item, that is an extra $40 (and typical standardized carryon luggage is too big to fit) or you can check in your bag on-line for $35. Then they ask if you would like to sit next to your party, charging you an extra $27 per seat. If you check in early enough, you are more likely to actually sit with the persons you are traveling with, so don't pay for that. You also are charged for drinks, and snacks on the flight (no biggie, but you should know). On the flight back to my state of origin, there was a flight delay of 2+ hours (for a valid reason of de-icing, but that was not communicated to us, we found out from the flight crew.). The Frontier app did not refresh to tell me the change, the website did not reflect the correct delay-of-flight change, and I got an e-mail telling me my flight was delayed about an hour after the initial delay. We called to confirm when our new boarding time was and could not get through the prompts. Google told me my flight was delayed and had more accurate information than the actual airline. Buying from this airline is very misleading- if you need budget, this is convenient, if you want a bit less stress, pay a bit more and go elsewhere."

Cons: "Least helpful airline ever encountered. After hours of delays, the crew never made any announcements or let the passengers know what was happening. It wasn't even delayed because of weather or plane malfunction but because the airline messed up their staffing schedule and didn't have a crew to work the flight. They ended up not being able to find a pilot and the flight was cancelled at 2 AM after 6 hours of delays. The attendants were unhelpful, no information was conveyed to the passengers, and the airline made no attempt to remedy the situation. I will never fly this airline again and would never let another member of my family fly with them as they are the worst airline I have ever encountered. With the additional charges for carry-on bags and even water, in the end this was not much cheaper than other airlines and the worry and stress from an inefficient and ineffective crew and management make this airline a worse choice."

Pros: "crew was very rude and unprofessional. Flight was delayed due to maintenance. We were boarded the plane then de-boarded us for maintenance. then changed plane and delayed more. Then captain changed and delayed even more. No food or drink was offered. Asked for money to buy food or even drinks after making us wait. I was asked to push my elderly family member on wheelchair when asked for help during gate change. I was told to push my own family and i might miss this flight if I wait for help. never apologized for the behavior."

I payed a total of $250.00 just to get back home, you would think they would be nice enough to include a snack and a drink in $250.00 flight and not to mention they also charge for carry ons while almost every other flight includes a free carry on. what’s next ?? Spirit is going to start charging to breathe on their planes. Thirdly, the flight was over booked and the spirit employees were asking travelers to give up their seats."

Folks do not fly with the spirit I'm telling you, you will regret it they don't even have TVs on the airplanes and they will make you pay for water, in fact so bad that I will create a yelp account just to let the world know how horrible spirit airline Is"

Cons: "The airlines weight limit on checked bags (which already cost the same as the ticket) is 40 lbs. anything 40-50 is an additional 30, and beyond 50 lbs is another $50. We tried 'saving' money for our trip by combining two adults luggage for a week into one checked bag instead of paying $39 a piece for a carry on. We were at 41 lbs leaving so in addition to the $41 for the checked luggage we had to pay the additional $30. On the way back, because we had purchased items on vacation and were only allowed two small personal items, we were over the 50 lb mark by 2 lbs and had to pay 55 to get our things on the flight. Don't waste your time with this airline if you want to take anything with you on your vacation."
Cons: "They separated us and put my 2 yr old all by herself 17 rows back and we have 3 children they put the other two children alone 3 and 8. They charged us for carry ons that were with in guideless except for the wheels on the return flight we didn't let them see the carry ons and no one said anything and were not charged the ripped us off on the out bound for 82.00"

Pros: "I was very surprised at how well everything went for my flight. It was my first trip with Spirit and I had heard awful things about it not being cleaned properly and too small. My flight from Orlando to Newark departed late but arrived on time and the crew was really great. I would definitely fly with your airline again."

If you just need to move yourself from point A to point B, I guess it would work. If you are going on vacation and you want ease and comfort try another airline first."
