We were surprised to find a full entertainment system on the flight, which is perfect for a family with kids. They were entertained the entire time. We'll do it again.
They didn't love the food (too spicy for them, should have ordered some child meals), but this is a great flight. Also we boarded a maybe 15 minutes late, but not a problem.
We didn't land in Clark but landed in Manila instead, 3hours away from Clark.
flight from NYC was delayed for 11 hours. then we were in line for more than 4 hours in Shanghai.
The food was amazing two hot meals and a couple of snacks.
Economy is not the way to travel on an extended flight, aisle seat is bearable but otherwise a fail in the comfort side.
In flight entertainment system was good and had a nice selection.
Almost could not board my flight back home from Korea as China Eastern changed the departure time of my connection in Beijing by 20 min. After dealing with customer service for over an hour they let me board the flight I already paid for! Middle isle, middle seat at the back of the plane for 14 hours. 1st meal had a very fishy smell so many on the plane didn’t eat it. Someone was smoking in the bathroom too which added a nice smell to the cabin. 2nd meal was a bit better. My seat was pretty tight. (I am 6’2” 230 lbs) Every time I take China Eastern I think to myself never again, but every now and again I have no option. Customer service is almost non-existent if anything goes wrong. They are the only airline that I have issues with almost every booking.
