Pros: "Not much went well, sorry"
Cons: "Because of bad logistics, the flight from CDG to FRA was delayed and therefore i missed my connection to AUS. Lufthansa personnel could have helped me make the second flight but didn't bother. I was rebooked on another flight through IAH which defeats the purpose of choosing a direct flight."

Pros: "In this day of continuous service cutbacks Lufthansa has managed to keep amenities that make long flights bearable. The boarding was early and efficient. Meals were decent and plentiful. Hot hand wipes were provided. Hundreds of video entertainment options and fairly friendly English speaking flight attendants. I recommend paying the small upcharge to choose seats with extra legroom. totally worth it on the long haul"

Pros: "The staff was communicative and genuine. The food was decent. Even though the flight arrived late I felt ok about it due to the direct communication of details about the situation. I was stuck in the extremely cramped space of seats just in front of the lavatory making the seat in front me 5 inches from my nose when reclined but the staff was sympathetic offering to ask the passenger in front of me to redress their seat more upright and also allowing me to spread out across two seats to compensate."
Cons: "While the staff compensated for the more than standardly cramped seating arrangement, I think the row of seats just in front of the lavatories should be either better designed or designated not usable. I am only 5’3” and 125lbs but still was faced with a mere 5 inches in front of me when the passenger in front of me reclined his seat. I couldn’t even stand in order to exit the row and had to crawl over the seats to my side. This had me thinking how dangerous this row could be in case of an emergency. Please consider designating these seats either not to be used or optional for passengers."

The staff said it wasn’t that far and no checkpoints to go through - this information was false."

Cons: "Expect to pay $85 euro for a carry on bag that they will ask you to check in. This is our returning trip with the same set of bags for the round trip to Paris. At the gate we were asked to check in the other carry on bag which we bought right before the trip making sure it fit the new small size req. Still that was put into check-in. We ended up with no carry on luggages with us boarded. Only to find quite a lot of bags that are much bigger than ours were allowed to be in the cabin."

Cons: "First, I had issues with checking into my flight online, which lead to me having to print my boarding pass at the airport. Since I had a separate flight with Eurowings that sent me from Munich to Paris, which was not connected with this flight, I came in directly into the airport and no where near a Kiosk to check in or print out my ticket/boarding pass. I explained to numerous employees my situation and they casually exclaimed I should be able to make it in. Once I got into the airport I could barely get through security since I did not have my boarding pass. I kept explaining I don't have a boarding pass because I could not check into my flight to obtain it. Then when they finally let me through with only 10 minutes to spare before my flight's gate would close, I finally reached the boarding desk only to be told I had to wait because out of the two men who were scanning boarding passes, they were too busy to help me. I then had to explain three times that I had already paid for and booked my flight, however, I could not check in online and was having an issue with an error that stated I was missing information, even though there was nothing marked in red or anything marked to edit, so each time I tried it denied me. I also tried calling for customer support and did not get a hold of anyone because the lines were too busy. After explaining all of this to the man at boarding, he made me wait an additional 5 minutes before helping me check into the flight and print out my boarding pass. I was treated like a stand-by customer and I did not appreciate it since I paid for this flight and tried to check in 24 hours prior. I was expecting much more from Lufthansa, as my boyfriend recommended this flight company to me, but I was extremely disappointed in so many ways it makes me question whether I want to fly this airline again for future trips abroad."

Then I was not able to change my flight at the airport even though there was room available on a direct Westjet flight leaving as close to the same time. But the worst part as after landing we waited for a very long time for the plane to pull up to a gate (unnecessarily burning fuel and poluting the environment). And finally we waited another very long time for the doors of the plane to be opened for disembarkation. More than 3/4 of an hour waiting on the ground after a one hour flight very late in the evening. As a result I hat to take a cab home from the airport. Now I will try my best to not fly Westjet."

Cons: "With an hour delay out of Paris due to waiting for missing aircraft flight documents to be completed and delivered to the airplane on the holding ramp, we ended up arriving in Toronto an hour late. With only an original connection time of 90 minutes, it was not possible for me to make it thru Canadian and US customs to the connection gate. I was to learn that no other connection to a Kansas City was available until much later in the afternoon / early evening. As a result, I ended up arriving in Kansas City 6 (six) hours later than originally scheduled, three quarters of the time it took to travel from Paris to Toronto. To say the least , I was not at all thrilled having lost that time."

The 2nd flight was delayed as well. Not to mention we were directed many places throughout the Toronto airport trying to locate a boarding pass for the 2nd flight in hopes to make it to Nashville that day. All members of the Air Canada staff were helpful, however traveling for over 20 hours majority of which was spent in foreign airports made for a long and unpleasant day. It would have been different had it been our fault for being late or missing a flight, but we were very early for our international flights which simply added to the amount of time we had to sit, wait, and hope. A coupon was given to us, however being that I live in a different country I don't know how quick I will be able to redeem this."

I had to call Air Canada, which charged me for the call (15 centimes per minute) then put me on hold, only to finally learn that I could only check in in person because we were traveling with a pet. --- We paid extra for preferential seating, and when we got to the counter were told that we could not have those seats bcs we were traveling with a pet - the pet was acknowledged on our records and travel documents, yet the company allowed us to sign up for preferential seating, then would not let us access those seats, but our previously reserved window seats were gone and we were assigned aisle and center seats, which were then changed again to other aisle and center seats. --- Half the flights on the departure board, including ours, were delayed, alhto there were no weather problems. Both our plane and the plane in the gate next to where we were waiting had mechanical problems - a coincidence, or a repeated failing?"

Cons: "Someone else was sitting in our seats and when asked they said they had lost their boarding pass and hence don't know their seat number. I called the flight attendant for help and he checked our boarding passes and asked us to wait at the back of the plane. He stood there for another 10-15 minutes and we were not helped. Finally, another flight crew member came down to the back and asked us to sit in a row almost to the back with barely any legroom. I am 6'2" and was cramped into the seat. It was horrible!!"

I didn't complain and got on the plane, only to be told for a forth time (after I had already settled in my seat) that I had to change my seat again, to a middle seat. It was by far the least comfortable seat I have sat in with very little room both in front of and next to me. Nobody should be asked to move like that, especially after choosing my seat online at least three months prior to the flight when I purchased my ticket. Food also not great."

Cons: "I upgraded the seats for me and my 9 year old daughter to economy premium for about $300 per seat. You would think they would give you two seats together considering you are flying with a minor. Nope! The seats were on different side of the isle and they had a seat between. One of the flight attendants was gonna accommodate us to be seated next to each other on the side with two seats only and my daughter was happy to be next to me. Another flight attendant comes after us and moves us to the middle where are 4 seats between the isles. I would recommend to ask what seats you are getting before boarding. I had picked two seats next to each other but in the meantime they sold the window seat to somebody else and moved me one seat away from my 9 year old daughter plus an isle between us. Will NEVER fly them again. I felt very uncomfortable and honestly like criminal while waiting for them to decide about my seating arrangements after paying additional $600 on the top of the regular fare. This was a flight from Paris to Montreal."

Well they didn't apparently see the fragile sticker as our latern and ceramics were damaged and the bag came out on the main conveyor. Also the door wouldn't open for baggage upon arrival so we were delayed an hour?"

Cons: "I understand that it is the duty of the traveller to figure out the legalities but a little heads up about visa requirements would be nice. I did know I needed a document to transit Canada but their website is absolutely not straight forward in telling you what you need to do. I read there was an exempt till September 2016 and since I was flying before it, I thought I would be fine. While I understand it was my fault for not doing my research, it's the way the airline company handled the situation that incredibly frustrated me. There is no empathy or willingness to help a traveler about to embark on their journey, when they are told they can't board. I didn't know you needed a visa just to transit!! It's just stone cold responses and haughtiness. It's a new rule, cut me some slack! They just pushed me off to a partner airline and I was asked to pay 1500$ for a one way flight. I m getting very frustrated with airlines of late! Customer service sucks. There is no genuine empathy for a person in a bind. It's all about making money and getting you out of the line. I'm just disappointed."

When I asked for help I was told that I was early and I could wait. Not the right answer. I was told to be at the airport 2 1/2 hrs. early which I was. Until I got to the woman at the boarding desk at E84, I was treated terribly. Since we travel with our friends we had hoped to at least see them. No way. Air Canada mad sure of that. also Not a peanut unless we spent money!!!"

But some other airline companies, when you miss your flight they find a next one for you and you just pay the fee, but not to cancel your ticket. Cons: "They cancelled my departing flight with no announcement or warning at all on the day of departure. I had to figure it out on my own. Rather than put me on another flight they rescheduled me to depart the next day from a city on the other side of the US from my original departure city and told me I would have to book my own transport to the new departure city. I spent 5 hours on the phone with them before heading to the airport where I was given a flight to the new departure city but now my nonstop flight had 2 layovers with one being 5 hours long. Luckily, this rescheduling meant I didn't take a Condor flight out. But my return flight was on a Condor plane and it was awful. Cramped seating and hot with no in-flight entertainment or the option to purchase WiFi. I will never fly Condor airlines ever again and I'd recommend anyone stay away from them."

Pros: "The price, the schedule, the convenience of the airports they use. Online Checkin is a breeze, and they seem to be very good at making sure that luggage arrives with passengers. Because we arrived at the airport VERY early (2:30 AM) for a 3:40 PM flight (Eurail scheduling vagaries required this), we checked our bags at 6AM (the earliest possible time) and worried that they had WAY too much time to screw it up, but they didn't, and even if they had, we were going home! Thy did provide a bottle of water for each seat, which was nice. After a late start, we made up some time and landed only a few minutes late."
Cons: "I know it's not entirely the airlines fault, but the boarding process for this flight was byzantine. first, the gate was in the 'basement' of the terminal and you had to show your boarding pass to get into the gate area and then you couldn't leave - and the bathroom was outside the gate area. Then we waited for 25 minutes in line to get on the bus to take us to our aircraft after the 'last call' for boarding announcement was made. When they finally put us on the bus, it was another 10 minutes standing still, packed in like sardines, until the bus actually moved anywhere. I have NO idea where the plane was, but we drove and drove, and drove around the airfield until we finally pulled up at our plane. They had two boarding ramps up, one in the front and one in the back, and just told us that low row number should board from the front and high numbers from the rear, but they didn't tell us what the demarcation was. With seats in row 31, it turned out we were over the wing, pretty much dead center, so it didn't matter. It would have been nice to have a frame of reference though. Aside from that, the food was EH!, the service courteous and efficient, but not friendly, the seats cramped, the no-extra-cost entertainment insipid (except for the audio portion - they provided a huge assortment of tracks by a wide variety of artists in many genres). With my (brought with me) earbuds, I gave up on any video except the flight map and just listened to classical recordings to drown out the screaming babies in the next row and provide a pleasant background for snoozing."

TERRIBLE MOVIE SELECTION WAS VERY POOR..."

When I asked an employee at the airport, she told me I can contact Condor for a refund and gave no explanation as to the issue. I ended up showing a flight attendant my proof of purchase and my boarding pass with the exit row seat assignment and he was able to switch my seat. The person who was assigned my seat never paid for it, so he was willing to switch. I find this unacceptable. 2. The boarding process was a nightmare in Frankfurt. While I understand there was enhanced security due to the terrorism in Barcelona, it could have been handled far more efficiently. For instance, because I transferred airports from Barcelona, I needed to go through passport control twice and go through security again before boarding. The problem arose where there were two different lines to process the passports the 2nd time from Condor and when that was complete, to go through security. It was a large waste of time. 3. The flight was full to Austin. As a result, I was required to check my larger carry-on bag. They tried to charge me 75 euro for the second checked bag even though they were forcing me to check it on. Absolutely unacceptable. 4. They charge 8 euro for every movie and tv show available except two movies: Garfield and the last Harry Potter movies and 2 episodes of two tv shows. For an 11 hour flight, this was incredibly disappointing. The movies available were a mix of older and new. There should still be some unpaid entertainment options available in Coach. That's ridiculous."

Pros: "Lufthansa experience was very good, all around. No problems, friendly staff, in flight smack. On a short flight...very pleasant experienxe. Staff were really great. Condor was a different experience. Boarding was unpleasant because specific rows were called to board after everyone had already lined up. It was very unclear where people from. Thyo stand, as no staff were guiding this process. Another passenger became very rude when he felt i stepped in front of him in the mess of a line. Have staff guide this process, or having clearly marked places to stand, would be helpful. It would be nice to have a little more leg room, food that wasn't extremely cold (like it was nearly frozen), & larger movie selection included."

Cons: "Seats were so crowded. I am only 5 9 1/2 feet tall, but my knees touched the seat in front of me! Also - why not provide more movies? Other international flights always provide more entertainment. Plus, one shouldn't have to pay to choose vegetarian food."

Cons: "boarding delayed by about an hour without announcements! then move to the bus boarding area for another 20 min wait. finally dleay of take-off due to maintenance issue which was announced."

Pros: "Great airline for the price, very clean, nice crew, food was okay for airline food."

Cons: "Every little thing apart from meals was sold at a ridiculous price, including an "entertainment package" which allowed you to watch movies on your screen seat. Debit cards aren't accepted, and without paying you can only watch two movies, one a chick flick and the other a children's movie. They had the most cramped and uncomfortable seats I've ever experienced on an international flight."

I noted this in my review and was dreading the 10.5 hour return flight. I was pleasantly surprised to find a roomier seating arrangement with 2seats/aisle/3seats/aisle/2seats with larger seats and a bit more legroom. The service as before was attentive and efficient."
Cons: "Was this new cabin arrangement the new standard or did we just get lucky on that trip? I will only book with Condor again if I can be guaranteed the roomier cabin."
