With all the bad weather, I was already very happy to connect right on time in Paris. However, a long haul A380 flight with such a tight seat configurstion is almost embarrassing for an airline. The in flight entertainment is at a very poor level, not only with the screen being very small and outdated, many of the movies are only available in French and the international selection very limited. The food was not much of a delight, whereas the presentation was nice. However, in all the 7 h between the services, nobody came around with refreshments in a completely booked flight, neither was announced that a trolly would be set for self service in the galley. Lucky the ones who got up and found out about. In terms of amenities, again, the airline is lacking of originality and saves cost. Bottom line: you get from A to B, but there are so many better competitors in the market, which I shall definitely consider on my next travel."
Pros: "The food was pretty good and the staff were friendly. During our transfer in Paris, my mum had a medical emergency and had to go to the medical centre. As such wr couldnt go to our final destination in Morocco and had to get our luggage off the plane. The staff at the AF counter were very helpful in that aspect. And when one of the luggages was completely damaged, it was replaced it with a brand new one which was fantastic. On the way back, we had some issues with the ticket because we didnt go to Morocco as planned which resulted in some trouble checking in. But the staff at the counter were quite helpful."

But chaotic and running thru terminal and then customs in order to make it to connecting flight, Were put on a bus (about 30 people) to the plane which had already pulled away and was on tarmac."

I put on my call light to ask about purchasing (which means I’m spending money) ear buds & she made me wait another hour & a half. Not one single passenger I spoke to had anything nice to say about Iceland Air."

After rushing to another terminal, the Air France check in agent told us she could not find our tickets, although the Icelandair agent gave us written confirmation. After being sent to the Air France ticketing agent (another office), we were told we were on a British Airways flight. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AIRLINE. How were we supposed to know this? This was extremely frustrating. But BA treated us great and we can now see why they have such a great reputation."

My mother is 67 and physically not able to run or even walk fast. It was worse on the way there. Arrived in Iceland and our Helsinki flight was canceled. We were rebooked to an earlier flight. We had a hard time catching it. Barely made it! We were not told of any such change. Sure, once I made it to my destination, I saw that I received an email while in the Air! I didn't have internet access en route! I won't book with that airline again. We almost didn't make our connection and weren't given any explanation. They should not assume that everyone has Wifi access once they leave their home country. I had to run ahead to let them know that we were indeed present and wanted to get on that flight. My mother struggled to follow me. I thought that it would be a good route to go, given that we make the trip to Finland to see our family. But it turned out not to be the case. Very disappointed."

They said there would be no track so it should safe, which it was, but it was left out in the rain for a minute or two so the soft case was somewhat wet. I don't think any permanent damage occurred."

End up with just to carry on, wouldnt able to shop in Europe. If you includ baggage flight would be similar to other airline provide baggage and quality services. Huge mistake, customer service located overseas, and dont care about customer."
Cons: "Both flights were delayed. Paris to Iceland and Iceland to Dulles. The Paris to Reykavitch was delayed ...somehow when I arrived at CGD I was told I was on standby. I bought the flight through your site in October!....so obviously the cheaper tickets get bumped off first. I got on the flight anyway. As the plane was taking off I got the right for a "shower" 8E or F....water was dripping down into the seat. I made the stewardess aware of it bc I was not sure whether this was the beginning of a downpour or just a consistant drip....She told me she got a couple of drips too. My response to her was wait a minute you are working, I paid 300+ for this seat. She shrugged. When she came around with her cart she offered me two chocolate bars? In reykavitch we sat on the tarmack waiting for passengers delayed from Berlin. They could have delayed boarding a little more since the flight was delayed anyway."

She immediately occupied the middle seat with her carry-on's and miscellaneous bags, she took off her boots and her feet smelled, and left all of her wrappers in the chair and foot space between us. I'm surprised no crew member thought to give her a word."

Cons: "1- Boarding was difficult. Embarking in Reykjavik was in gate D3 . We have to walk and climb stairs with our carry on. Once we got to the ramp level we noticed that gate C23 was at same level of the boarding ramp. Why to make elderly people climb stairs with loads? 2- 5 to 6 hours of flight and this cheap airline only offers a little cup of water, coffee, soda or juice (once from Dulles to Reykjavik, twice from Reykjavik to Dulles). Otherwise you have to pay above reasonable price for cold plates. Icelandeair is a Cheap airline not to the level of a nation like Iceland or not to the level 0of any other Latin American, Asian or some of the European airlines that offer a decent snack in flights of 5 or more hours."

Cons: "To start off the airline told us our standard carry on did not fit the cabins despite the luggage being a standard carry on per other airline carriers. The planes were packed full and middle seats had no leg room or spaces to store back packs. The temperature control was off. It was 84 F and the air vents were blowing out at least 85 F for the first 2 hours. On the whole I would not recommend flying this airline, you get what you pay for with this and comfort on long flights is a must."

It was a crowded flight, which made it a bit more uncomfortable. Water, juice, tea and coffee were complimentary, everything else you had to pay for."

I don't know if it was the fault of the airport (CDG) or what but Iceland air didn't have an actual check in desk and they didn't have any roped lines and it opened 30 minutes late. There were 260ish people with all their luggage creating a makeshift line that stretched into the next hall It blocked Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines (both were checking in their own flights) and a major passageway through the terminal. I don't know how hard it is to set up a monitor with a screensaver that says "IcelandAir" and cordon off some rope lines, but apparently it's pretty hard at CDG."

The boarding onto the plane was disorderly and no announcements were made to provide directions. If you fly to Europe from USA, avoid Reykjavik. Iceland Air charges extra for snacks, headphones, and seat assignments. Even after buying "discount" tickets, the extra charges boost the cost to the same as all the other airlines. The plane only had two bathrooms on-board so there was a line during the entire six hour flight."

Bait and switch? At least be upfront that there are no assigned seats. Altho somehow others were able to book OUR seats... We will be looking to book with other airlines before choosing IceAir again. Instead they end up standing in line for an hour or so. Boarding process in Reykjavik was inefficient. Then after the so called "boarding", passengers were asked to wait in a waiting area for another 15 mins before actually boarding the aircraft. At that point passengers can just board aircraft at no particular order. Defeated the whole purpose of the initial boarding by sections (Saga, Economy Comfort and Economy)."

"From using an app that denied my negative covid test THREE times because they misread it and tried to mislead me about it ("Maybe the date isn't specified?" when it very much was and I'd drawn attention to its correct location); to the fact that my connecting flight wasn't even available in this app was supposed to determined whether I could fly to my final destination; ti the fact that a supposedly vital piece of documentation wasn't even mentioned in that app; to the unnecessary delaying of a connecting flight by several hours that was suddenly on time again upon landing minutes only late, which somehow required all passengers with ANY connecting flight to run to their gate regardless of destination; to the fact that the boarding passes didn't include my initial return flight and only the connecting, which was cause to be denied entry to the airport, to the apparenly unknown and much disputed location of the check-in where I would have to report to get said boarding pass; to the ONE HOUR WAIT behind maybe 20 people total in spite of having no bags to check because again, I had no boarding pass; to the app incorrectly stating that no additional covid test was needed only to find out after having been at the airport THREE HOURS; to the fact that my itinerary"couldn't" be changed because it was "in flight" while the "fare difference" I would be charged went up $100 every hour I was forced to wait because there were magically no notes regardingmy flight every time I called back as directed; this was a miserable experience all around. Never recommending aer lingus to anyone ever and certainly won't fly it again. Guess I won't ever find my long lost relatives..."

No help no announcements nothing. sitting in a plane for an hour and a half with three children under the age of four crying, screaming and yelling all the way without a thing being said by any of the crew. A little is ok, but three families with young children with no support from the crew was not pleasant"

Cons: "We had a terrible experience at the Aer Lingus desk in Paris. We got there two hours early for our flight and there was already a long line at the desk and no agents at the counter. Finally some agents arrived started checkng people in. After 15 min in line, they told us that if we were flying to the U.S., our flight was delayed and we would not make our connection, and to get out of line and wait. After 20 more minutes, they said that was a mistake and get back in line. I waited for approximately an hour and a half in line there, and had to run to my flight. There was no effort made to hurry us through security or any apologies."

BA has tons of movies and TV to choose from, and lots of first-run. This had about 6 TV shows, 2 episodes each, and maybe 20 movies, ranging in age but mostly not very new. When you're on a daytime flight for 7 hours, this becomes something you care about."

We had had a problem at JFK on our flight out and we were told to expect problems on the return. The clerk separated me from my wife and sister (who needed a wheel chair) and then issued us boarding passes only for the flight to Dublin without explanation. I waited in a line at the gate for another 2 hours to straighten it out."

At the check in desk, Aer Lingus personnel who are usually very accommodating told us "I'm sorry. It's a full flight. You'll have to talk to the flight crew." As if boarding a an international flight with two toddlers isn't difficult enough, now we had to do it without knowing where are seats were. All I can say is thank God for the accommodating passengers on our flight. The flight attendant was not helpful so I had to ask people myself."

I specifically asked the crew to deliver my stroller in AUD for transit since we were flying the next day and they didn’t fulfill our request. Luckily AUD airport has strollers so we used one and took it to our hotel. The fact that Etihad doesn’t provide hotel accommodation for 14 hour transits is beyond ridiculous. Really disappointed in this lack of arrangement for long haul flights."

I fly about 20 or 30k miles a year in economy and this is easily the most uncomfortably designed seat I've been in. More over the staff was incredibly dismissive and rude to all I witnessed then keep a older woman waiting for 45 mins for water and then dismiss her when she asked a second time. The check in staff was no better."

The seats would not stay up, so they would come crashing down onto your spine as you were seated, which was painful. The only way to avoid this was to hold it back as you sat, which required you to twist around. This whole experience was uncomfortable and unsanitary. On the Abu Dhabi to DC flight, the toilet was self-flushing, as well. Except that it also malfunctioned and flushed every time before I stood up. This was an unnerving experience."

She rarely would make eye contact with anyone while doing, "her service" and acted like it was a major inconvenience. It was a long flight but the crew on the way to New Delhi on Jet Airways were exceptional and made the flight as pleasant as possible. The Eithad crew lacked this attitude."

Many times he was overlooked by the stewardesses on either side as he was in a middle seat. I did not see a single onboard crew crack a smile, robotic service. Not impressed with my first Etihad experience."

Cons: "Boarding was slow. A group of very rowdy passengers who showed zero consideration for their fellow passengers and whom the crew did little or nothing to restrain, other than confiscating a bottle of alcohol they carried on board."

Cons: "The captain had fasten seatbelt on because of turbulence. As soon as it came off the crew insisted on doing the service instead of waiting for desperate people to use the restroom. They made everyone sit back down so they could serve sandwiches and drinks. There was plenty of time and they should have waited. The only time the crew smiled was when the flight was over"

Pros: "The staff was very nice. Only bad incident was the misinformation on getting the D Tax. We went early to the airport to do it but could not get it because of erroneous information form the check in agent."
Cons: "When we checked our bags the check in agent did not let us take out bags after getting the boarding pass so we could get the D Tax refund at Customs. She said it was not necessary. She was wrong. French customs wanted to see the merchandise which we no longer had. When we complained at TAP we were told do it in Lisbon. Again in Lisbon we could not get the D tax because that custom agent wanted to see the merchandise which was being transferred to our Lisbon - Newark flight. We loss refunds of over $400. This problem ruined a perfect trip."

Cons: "Overbooked the flight by 20 people and split up our group of 4 traveling together. They gave 3 of us tickets and then told my dad who is the least experience traveler that he doesn't have a seat because he didn't check in online even though we were at the airport 2 hours ahead to check in. Paying $1000 for a ticket and then being told you don't have a seat is absolutely unprofessional and rediculous. We were traveling home from europe and had 2 other connections we had to make. After 3 hours they were able to transfer us all to another flight back to the states and then lost my dad's luggage. Horrible experience! Will not travel TAP again!"
Pros: "Crew did a good job of keeping their cool when my flight was canceled and merged with another. After 4 hours of delay because the Pope was traveling to the same place we were and having to hand out all new boarding passes to confused and anxious passengers, the crew were always friendly and helpful."

Cons: "This airline consistently overbooks all of their flights. I bought my ticket 3 months prior and checked in 10 hours beforehand and was put on standby along with 5 others in the same situation. When we spoke to the TAP people at the gate they proceeded to tell us that they are used to this and it happens on every flight!!!!! I cannot believe that their is an airline that is so greedy that they purposely overbook their flights! It almost ruined our entire trip because we almost missed two connection flights and they did not care at all."
