Pros: "Friendly crew"
Pros: "The crew did a great job. The seat was uncomfortable after such a long flight. But that is to be expected, I guess. The lady, kicking our seats behind us, because she felt it was disrespectful to recline your seat, even during a 9 hour flight, was the only drawback. But the crew responded approp"
Cons: "The best part about the food was the ice cream. The rest of the food was lackluster, but what I expected on a flight. Pros: "People on the planes were nice"
Cons: "The guy at the gate in france made me check my bag, he said it was due to the size but people were walking by with bigger bags and he didn't seem to care about them at all. Not sure why he singled me out. Also took my passport, which he wasn't doing for other passengers and told me to board the plane. I had to ask multiple times for him to return my passport. Not sure if it was his first day or something but it was a very frustrating experience."

Cons: "Very old fashioned plane, with one tv to watch a movie. I don't think I've flown on anything like that since the 90's."
Cons: "Antiquated entertainment system. Lack of a/c power outlets at each seat."
Cons: "Flight departed 3 hours late due to mechanical issues. We just sat in the plane while they slowly, extremely slowly, dealt with the problem. Caused me to miss my connection in Dallas, and now I have to stay overnight. American cattle car class seats are hard, small, a sorry sign of affairs for US-based airlines. Coach class used to be reasonable, but it is now just embarrassing."
Pros: "Staff was polite and friendly. It was a great experience!"
Cons: "Poor choice and food"
Pros: "Direct service, legroom in main cabin"
Cons: "Flight bought by American Airlines. Not the same quality as British airlines flight."
Pros: "New entertainment system"
Pros: "At least they kept throwing food at us on the plane."
Cons: "Arrived 3 hours early to CDG, and a long line to check a bag. It took so long, eventually they allowed people to cut in line as their flight departure times neared. 2+ hours later, I finally got to a kiosk to print my boarding pass and baggage tag, but now another line to drop off my bag on the conveyor belt. With less than 30 minutes to departure, and still haven't gone through security, I gave up and made my checked bag a carry-on as well. And then tight seats on the plane, with no individual screens (the movie played on a tiny screen 2 rows up in the aisle.)"
Pros: "Stsff was outstanding...love the compllimentary wine....like the old days.when service mattered most."
Cons: "Airline wait lines at terminals"
Cons: "Check in was total chaos. Food was horrible."
Pros: "No major issues with the flight itself, see below for MAJOR issues with check-in and checking bags."
Cons: "The organization with American Airlines at Charles de Gaulle was absolutely pathetic. I understand it's a busy airport, but NONE of the other airlines had lines like American did. Then by the time you get up to an American airline employee, incompetence was written all over their faces. The straw that broke the camel's back was that they insisted on separating my partner and me while doing security questions, meanwhile other parties who were together were not separated (LGBT discrimination). This pushed us back 10 minutes--we were separated and he was having to wait for me after the questioning to get my bag checked, too. I'll add that we arrived to the airport with over 2 hours to spare before our flight which should have been more than enough time. We probably would have missed the flight if not for a few decent Charles de Gaulle employees who bumped us though lines at customs when they realized the time crunch, no thanks to anyone with American Airlines. I heard so many saying they will not use American Airlines again, and how saving a few dollars was not worth the headache. Flying is already stressful enough, don't make it that much worse."
Pros: "The flight staff was great"
Cons: "I felt like I was sitting in low class by selecting economy. The plane was old with only one in flight entertainment option. There was a baby sitting behind me in a parents lap kicking my seat the entire time. Less leg room and space then the last time I flew AA. The food option was mediocre."
Cons: "Very poor boarding. Crew late but did not start screening and checking passengers until late. Had to ride bus to plane and walk a short distance in the rain which was moderately heavy."
Pros: "Each person having their own screen for movies and Tv is great! Food good/ too much but spaced apart very well...overall excellent service"
Cons: "Being pulled aside prior to boarding because we did I not have a sticker on our passports... otherwise boarding was excellent!"
Pros: "Friendly crew Smooth flight"
Cons: "Couldn't select seats"
Cons: "Can not check in online!"
Cons: "Good choices could have been better."
Pros: "The staff was nice. The food was good."
Cons: "One hour and 30 minutes delay. I got my luggage the next day after landed."
Pros: "Good food, good wine, good movie choice, Thank you."
Pros: "Cabin crew were quite good. Food was fine for airplane fare with excellent ice cream mid-flight. Airplane was spotless. Entertainment was very good. Plenty of carry-on storage on this 787-9. Customs and airport (DFW) experience was very good. Baggage claim and return for connection were prompt and rapid."
Cons: "Seats were tight in basic coach. As typical at CDG airport (other than the government subsidized Air France facilities), check-in and security is a nightmare. Clearly the worst airport in the world."
Pros: "I liked that the boarding was efficient."
Cons: "I didn't like that the departure time was delayed because it caused be to miss my connecting flight."
Pros: "The food was pretty good."
Cons: "Old 777-200. not very comfortable and the entertainment is very sub-par"
Pros: "I suppose the food / wine was okay."
Cons: "The plane was one of the oldest I have been on in years. The center aisle overhead bins were not even big enough for luggage and there was one TV every 5 or so rows. We were at the mercy of the crappy movies American Airlines chose for us. Most flights these days have individual entertainment and at a minimum room for luggage. The plane was old, dirty and not up to date. Never flying American again. Extremely disappointed with the service on the flight, as well. A little more than halfway through the flight, the woman in the row next to me began reading the airline magazine. Her window shade was up and the sunlight caused a horrible glare on the magazine pages that beamed like a laser over everyone near by. My friend seated next to me and I both have extreme sensitivity to light that causes migraines. I asked the woman to close her shade which at first she did about an inch or two. This didn't do anything to help the glare so I asked again and she refused to do anything more. I explained it was giving us migraines and she didn't seem to care. I asked the flight attendant to help navigate the situation, which was just as useless. She said she could ask but not force her to close her window shade. While I understand that AA can't control that some people can be selfish, I find it incredibly hard to believe that the crew can't intervene when a passengers actions are making other people physically ill. Our only other option was to be relegated to the last row, next to the crews stinking pile of garbage that had been accumulating for the first five hours of the trip. Almost every crew member we interacted with was completely apathetic to the situation. We spent the rest of flight nauseous and with splitting headaches. But I sure hope my row mate and fellow human being in 32A enjoyed the article about the dinosaur flea market in Bolivia This entire situation could have been mediated by the flight attendants who chose to disengage. Furthermore, when we were deceding to land, overhead bins were still open, and people were starting to stand up to gather their belongings in the overhead bins. Again, the apathetic flight attendants were no where to be found. Overall, disappointing experience. Glad to never have to fly them again."
