Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "Flight crew dI’d not enforce mask mandate."
Pros: "The crew was nice. They did a very good job under the circumstance."
Cons: "The flight was delayed over an hour because of an error on Delta‘s part. They did not verify people as they were boarding. Further the person in 17 F was doing video chat as we were preparing to take off and he had very foul language throughout the flight. The crew never said anything."
Pros: "Great entertainment."
Cons: "Turbulence was high so good/drink service was less than normal. No fault of delta or their crew but the JFK airport was awful, especially through customs. No help from the employees and easy to get lost."
Pros: "The crew were awesome and friendly, both in the air and on the ground."
Cons: "Delta communicated no reasoning for delaying our flight three hours. They also did not update estimated departure times even when it was clear we would be delayed multiple times because the plane was not at the gate, the crew were not in place, and the pilot safety checks had not occurred."
Pros: "Friendly flight staff, on time service."
Pros: "Crew is always friendly"
Cons: "Aircraft broke, had to route me to an additional three stops just to get me home and through the night. Also, still unsure of where my checked baggage is."
Pros: "Great crew, easy process overall"
Cons: "Make 1st class cheaper and give free wifi!"
Cons: "Too cold"
Pros: "Crew was great as usual these days with delta. Boarding was easy and efficient. Madrid staff booked us on a later flight in Atlanta as a precaution and it turned out we needed it. Really helpful!"
Cons: "Plane had crumbs on the seat and floor when we got on."
Pros: "The crew was okay. Could be better"
Cons: "Variety of snacks and drinks"
Cons: "Taxied at ORD for 45 minutes waiting for a gate to vacate."
Pros: "I liked the entertainment"
Pros: "Crew was really great."
Cons: "Electrical outlets didn't work. Wi-fi didn't work. Flight was delayed. Wasn't a lot of leg room even in first class."
Pros: "The crew was amazing had no problems!"
Cons: "Nothing had a great experience!"
Pros: "Good snacks"
Pros: "Everything went smoothly"
Pros: "Nice plane and comfy seats"
Cons: "The stewards were not at all helpful or as friendly as most of the delta staff! I was so disappointed with their service. We had TWO delays making us arrive in SAT AT almost 2 am. Hence there were a lot of empty seats. We asked if we or even one of us could move into the …at least three empty rows…and they would not let us as they were they comfort plus section and it cost more…NO ONE WAS USING THESE SEATS!! So they let the passengers be crammed together in the rest of the plane and left numerous empty seats that could have been used! It’s was just rude. They also served drinks and never checked back to pick up the garbage. Didn’t tell us to raise our seats or put up our table trays before landing. So, as I exited the plane I handed them my garbage! I wasn’t going to be rude and leave it in the seat pocket or my seat …where I found crumbs of food on when I boarded the plane. Was just very dissatisfied with this crew!! I have been flying a lot lately using delta. I’ve had some delays but they’ve always been accommodating, this crew was not! What a shame!"
Pros: "With all the competition among airlines and the cutbacks we suffer as customers Delta manages to make you feel like you matter still. Timely boarding, actual help with finding seats making boarding efficient (not just hurrying you along), updates from the cockpit that you could hear and understand, multiple choices in snacks-one even a healthy option, staff that was friendly and interested in making it a good experience not one that seemed bothered they had to work."
Cons: "yet another oversold and crammed into a plane flight from delta. the crew were nice and all...but the passengers were all ready to be throw into a battle royal pit to actually get on the plane. Getting real tired of this"
Pros: "Fast, orderly boarding."
Cons: "These planes are too small. I’m average in size but women have hips and it’s not easy fitting into the seats. Why are they stacked so closely together? It’s ridiculous."
Cons: "Enhanced security procedures are onerous and caused the flight to be delayed 20+ minutes. Too many TSA staff at PLN doing too many things horribly inefficiently. Extra precautions (testing a Ziploc bag of cookies and several chocolate bars for explosive materials) did not make me feel safer or less inconvenienced by the theatrics of security."
Cons: "Slow Wifi."
Pros: "The Delta check-in at RDU was terribly understaffed with only 2 agents handling baggage drop-off for a fully booked Boeing 757. I waited over 1 hour and got to the gate at the last minute. Poorly managed! The flight crew was great though! Very attentive service even in the economy class!"
Cons: "The food could be better."
Pros: "Larger seats"
Cons: "The seats are too small."
Pros: "Friendly crew"
Cons: "The cost of the ticket"
Pros: "Staff friendly, efficient and courteous. On time. Different snacks. Prompt service. Power source each seat worked."
Cons: "Gate area for flight change filthy. LAX gates 31-38. Garbage overflow with no seating. No entertainment option on flight."
Cons: "The entry into the Atlanta airport after landing was somewhat chaotic. We were backed up circling before landing for ~ 1 hour and there seemed to be an unusually large number of folks trying to get through customs/security - noe Delta's fault but an unwelcome experience after being in the air for 8+ hours."
Pros: "Gate and plane crew helpful, smiling, courteous. On time and baggage provided quickly."
Cons: "Seats uncomfortable, no power, service predictable and boring snacks."
Cons: "Airplanes are filthy; asked for Coke without ice & the flight attendant filled my cup halfway. Unbelievably cheap! I was afraid to ask for more, for fear that I'd get an up charge!"
Pros: "The Economy seats with added space Plenty of space Cheerful crew"
Pros: "Repair took just under an hour which I think is very good considering the paperwork that is involved. We were informed and everyone on the plane seemed to understand so the handling of the event must have been exceptional..."
Cons: "we took off 45 minutes late, business trip, but a slack day prepping for tomorrow, so still no big deal. Besides we picked up an hour by the time zone change. Im good!"
Cons: "It was belated by 2.5 hrs :("
Pros: "Very professional and caring."
Cons: "I feel Delta didn't try very hard to get me a flight and I stood in line for four hours"
Pros: "My seat was very near the front ...two rows behind comfort class seating (which was mostly empty). WiFi services and entertainment were offered...to those that brought along their own receiving devices."
Cons: "My seat happened to be one row in front of the Exit Aisle Seating rows....I wasn't aware that this meant having to sit straight up the entire time without the chance of reclining my chair back into the Exit Aisle's space. The 2 hour and 13 minute flight time sitting straight up really worked up my sciatic nerve into a flaring frenzy. I Forgot to bring my iPad Pro with me on this trip...and had no adequate access to any entertainment content."
Pros: "Good entertainment with games for kids, movies etc."
Cons: "No meals (5+ of flying), need to buy earphones, no place for hand lauggudge"
Pros: "Staff friendly and helpful at gate. Aircrew staff handled one hour rain delay on taxiway with frequent updates and good attitude. New plane, and convenient electronic support."
Cons: "Peanut allergy on flight. No peanuts. No other options."
Cons: "Wifi didn't work."
Pros: "Friendly staff, on-time flights"
Pros: "I like the fact that I was able to get on this"
Cons: "Delta is completely messed up. My luggage was supposed to travel with me to Boston. But it didn't. Delta waisted my time. Horrible customer su"
Pros: "Delta is focused on customer service, especially in the business class. Great airline. Love the crew attitude."
Pros: "Great service. On time flight."
Cons: "I reserved my ticket through Kayak.com. They auto populated my name and added my maiden name. Because that did not match my passport I was charged $50 at the counter to make the name change. Additionally this took a very long time and we almost missed our flight. I am currently fighting with the airline to get reimbursed."
Pros: "The crew was attentive, pleasant, and hardworking."
Cons: "Tight leg room in coach. Cramped and uncomfortable."
Pros: "Skyprority was great along with the perks of PE seats. Crew, as usual, were professional, pleasant, and organized."
Cons: "IFE was great but remove the games component from the menu. I had a child poking the screen playing the game for 3 hours and everytime they poked the screen it moved my head as if she was just hitting the back of the steat. PE seats really don't offer that much more room and the seat on the 757-200 vs 9 was AWFUL! My tailbone hurts 24 his later."
Pros: "The following day had different employees working so they weren't as rude as they were on my original day of travel."
Cons: "Having a domestic leg of travel that includes ATL to LAX as part of your international travel plans is horrible with Delta Airlines. The rude gate employee decides to check my carry on piece to my destination. I explain that I have a14 hour connection and I need the small arty on piece for that flight. I was asked to talk to the other gate employee while they gave my seat away. It's horrible how rude and dismissive they were. I asked for compensation but they started to lie. Apparently I 'gave' up my seat. Once the shift manager started to help me, I thought things would've ok. It got worse. The Delta training took over. Both employees repeated the exact same words about me volunteering my seat so there's no compensation. It cost me a hotel night and 24 hours. I will avoid Delta at all costs... and I know it will be difficult since flying through ATL is pretty much alway Delta. But, it's too much. Lying, rude and dismissive employees at various levels of management. Horrible"
Cons: "Due to last minute and absurd changes made to my itinerary by Delta, i was not on this flight."
Pros: "The passenger seated next to me with a sense of humor about our situation."
Cons: "For some reason when I booked my flight, for this leg of it, I had "get seat assignment at gate". Once I got my seat assignment I thought I had a window seat: however, when I boarded the plane, I realized that I was in the very last seat of the plane in the window position, but no window. I was crammed in next to a wall and claustrophobic the whole way as I couldn't see anything, couldn't recline at all because behind me was the bathroom, and the engine roared at times in my ears to where I couldn't hear the passenger next to me when we tried to have conversation as the engine was right outside my "wall". We joked, when we could hear each other, that we must've pissed someone at Delta off the last time we flew them. I have no idea why I had to get my seat assignment at the gate for this particular flight, or why I was put in the 'flying coffin' seat, but it made for a very unpleasant experience. Why even have that seat in the plane? Everyone pays a lot of money to fly these days and deserves better than that seat when doing so. just take those two seats out and give everyone else a little more leg room = much better passenger experience for everyone...my suggestion if Delta really cares about the quality of passenger experience."
