Pros: "excellent airlines for such a small customer market....A+"
Cons: "absolutely nothing!!"
Pros: "I thought the flight was on time and comfortable. The cost of the flight was very reasonable and it beats driving."
Pros: "The actual fight was very good."
Cons: "I tried calling for a shuttle to the terminal for over an hour, and ended up walking in the dark with my luggage. When arriving, the attendant said he had left the phone in the car. That was not so great."
Pros: "Crew was great"
Cons: "The flight was canceled about 45 min. before flying & delayed the next morning about 2 hours, due to mechanical problems. I wish for more on-time flights"
Cons: "Was supposed to leave Denver at 7pm. Did not leave until 9am next morning with absolutely NO compensation. Could have driven home faster."
Pros: "Your airline is a great to those of us living on the Eastside. Easy, punctual, courteous, and economical."
Pros: "That a seat was available at last minutes."
Pros: "Best discovery on the west coast! Great personnel, spacious for a small plane, great views. So happy to have tried Boutique!"
Cons: "If flying to LAX be prepared to have plenty of time to make connection. I had to get my carry on bag through baggage claim which added unexpected wait."
Pros: "I loved the convenience of this flight from Merced to LAX. A low fare, a small plane, a huge time saver. I will fly with you again! This flight made a cheaper; direct flight to europe possible. Thank you! Great (young) staff!"
Pros: "I liked the friendliness of the crew. They were very helpful. Overall it was enjoyable."
Cons: "We did hit some turbulence landing in Massena. Definitely a bit bumpy than a larger aircraft."
Pros: "comfort, speed of flight, LOVE the terminal"
Cons: "nothing"
Pros: "Quick check in, no games"
Cons: "Little turbulence"
Pros: "Comfortable"
Cons: "Waited until departure time to start boarding. Start boarding before departure time so you leave when you're supposed to. Plane was sitting at terminal for 3 hours prior to departure. No excuse for leaving late."
Pros: "I liked everything about boutique air the pilot and copilot were very pleasant people the aircraft was clean although it was a small aircraft the flight was very smooth and comfortable. This was my 1st flight with boutique air but I hope not the last"
Cons: "There wasn'a single thing I did not like"
Pros: "Did not like it at all"
Cons: "Having to wait to another airport. I checked in. I was so hungry couldn't get anything to eat cause we had to go to another airport. So we had to check in and then set back down there was not any food anywhere. I will not be using this airline again"
Cons: "It's one of the smallest airports I've been to, but has the worst TSA agents. They're bored. I have to take my top off to go through the metal detector. Took 45 minutes of harrasment to get 8 people through.... eight."
Pros: "Had to take a Friday flight to Phoenix to drive back a car to Abq. Waited too long to get a ticket, by mid week the big guys were getting up there in price. I heard about BA before so when I noticed their price coming in the lowest in a KAYAK search I had no hesitation going for it! The whole experience was great. The big airlines are taking all the fun out of flying, long lines thru security, you get on the plane thru a tunnel so you don't even get to see the airplane. With BA checking in is 20 mins before flight, no long lines thru security. You just walk to their terminal, check in and walk out to your plane! The plane is comfortable, the pilots are very friendly. I'll definetely fly BA again!"
Pros: "Same as above."
Cons: "Same as above."
Pros: "Friendly staff and ease of booking"
Cons: "It didn't even show up in fact it was cancel and I was never notified and left 5hrs earlier so I was stuck in Denver international airport for the night and had to book a 400$ flight for the next morning. It's really shocking that I was not notified and I want to be reimbursed for the hotel and flight the next day"
Pros: "The staff were pleasant to work with."
Cons: "Flight was scheduled to depart at 4:30pm and without any weather or mechanical delays the flight is pushed to 6:30pm. Then 7:00pm. Now 8:00pm. And I am still waiting."
Pros: "The staff was very friendly and professional from the checking point to the final destination . It is a private jet experience for a bargain. It is a great experience."
Pros: "The airport personnel for Boutique are great!"
Cons: "Everything was wonderful!"
Pros: "Love Boutique air."
Pros: "Cost and schedule compliance"
Cons: "All was good. You need to have an "na" in your star ratings. "Entertainment " is not appropriate for a flight."
Pros: "Smooth landing and nice people"
Cons: "The set belt light never went off to get up and get a drink or snack"
Pros: "The price for this flight considering the convenience of everything compared to a typical commercial flight was amazing. I am very impressed with the service, and will absolutely try to find future flights on Boutique Air!"
Pros: "Staff at Denver AP very helpful + frienly"
Pros: "Boutique conducts business a little bit different from all the major airlines. Checking in and boarding is done very different. They arrange the seating based on the passengers weight. almost if you have chattered your own private jet. Very luxurious and comfortable. Although the plane is small, the takeoff and landing was very smooth. Don't hesitate do business with boutique."
Cons: "Nada"
Pros: "I loved the customer service and helpfulness as I had never flown through this airline. It's a must do!"
Pros: "QUICK, EASY, FRIENDLY & EXCELLENT PRICE. THEY GET YOU TO THE "HARD-TO-GET-TO" PLACES WITH EASE!"
Pros: "No waiting lines, no hustle, no herding like cattle. Everyone was personal and polite. Wonderful experience! I will fly Boutique every chance I get!"
Cons: "Smaller plane makes for more turbulence, but not bad."
Pros: "On time, easy check in, and friendly staff"
Pros: "On time, easy check in, and friendly staff"
Pros: "Liked the hospitality of the crew"
Cons: "The noise of the plane"
Pros: "What a fantastic surprise. Best flight ever and no hassle. Service is second to none!!! Husband loved it even more than I. Full size drinks and nuts, smooth flight all the way through, We will do this again and again. Thank you!"
Cons: "No downside at all"
Pros: "N/A"
Cons: "I'll admit, I was arrived some what close to the cut-off time but still had around 50 minutes to spare before boarding my flight. Staff was unable to provide me a printed version of my boarding pass. In result, I was not able to make my flight. Boutique air refuses to address the matter."
Pros: "Crew was friendly."
Cons: "Plane was small so it was scary whenever we hit turbulence."
Pros: "Easy on and Easy off, great customer service at checkin in LAX"
Cons: "NO TSA PRE? Cmon...that is a must these days. Flight left LAX almost 45mins late because we were waiting for one passenger to arrive. I'm all for waiting 10 mins or so for someone who has already checked in but to inconvenience the entire plane for one person that long was too much. Pilot who spoke to us upon leaving and when we landed in Merced was devoid of customer service skills and spoke in a way that was hard to understand."
Pros: "This flight felt like I was flying on my own private jet. The crew was amazing, very friendly, and helpful. I will book with boutique in the near future. Shawn Ogden, Utah"
Pros: "It was a quick stop to refuel, and we were immediately brought back into the plane afterward."
Cons: "That we had to go back through TSA screening even though there were only six of us - but that's the TSA and not the airplane's fault."
Pros: "Small plane. Fun, new experience! Smooth flight, cool pilots. Never ridden in an 8-seater before! They gave me peanuts when I asked, too."
Cons: "There was an issue with boarding pass printing -- the printer had some problems for a bit, and our agent had some difficulty trouble-shooting the issue. I don't blame her at all -- she got it fixed, and we were only delayed 10 mins or so in the end. To make things perfect, that part of the process would have been full-proof."
Pros: "I have flown between SLC and Denver perhaps 600 times over the last 20 years. This was perhaps the first time ever that I enjoyed the flight."
Pros: "The comfort, professionalism and customer service were second to none."
Pros: "The flight was short and sweet.chexking in was simple...we just showed our I.d. The crew was friendly and the plane was nice."
Cons: "Nothing really."
Pros: "everything. it was like having a private jet."
Cons: "No toilet paper on plane."
Pros: "So everyone was so nice I felt like a celebrity"
Cons: "Trip departure point was changed at the last minute, but other than that it was a very enjoyable trip."
Pros: "The crew did a great job landing the plane, thanks!"
Cons: "The flight made an emergency landing at another airport and the passengers were told we were "free to go" without any suggestions or help from the airline. Later, we were told to call for a refund. When I called I was denied my refund. Wow. Horrible experience."

Plane got switched and I was moved to the back

Lots of delays. Armrests are not big enough for two people.

Recovery is taking its toll, The Delta employees are burdened with the covid restrictions costing then undue time to make sure they are complaint and its hard to do. Federal law mandating restrictions above local law is ridiculous. I did like the new boarding back to front, been wondering a long time when airlines would figure that out, but drop all the categories for pre-boadrings, only have one: Special needs, Military and 1st class, one call then back to front, half the plane was onboard before it got efficient.

Pros: "Crew was nice and friendly"
Cons: "The economy seats in an A321 are uncomfortable and there is very limited legroom."
Cons: "I had a flight with a connection starting at 6 PM on a Monday. At 5 AM the day of the flight I received notification that the first flight would be delayed, making connection impossible, I was prompted to select another flight to arrive to my destination. I chose a flight with a connection staring at 7 PM. Upon getting on the first flight we began to prepare for takeoff. After about 30 minutes the pilot notified us that we would be delayed 40 minutes because we had nowhere to land at my connection airport. I realized at that point that I would possibly miss my connection, which was scheduled at 10:20 PM. However, I did arrive at the connection airport around 9:40 PM which would have given just enough time to arrive at the connection gate. Unfortunately, upon arrival to the connection airport the pilot informed us that we would have no gate to de-board the plane. The pilot stated that all connections "were aware of our delay" and gave us the gates for each connection. I got off the plane at 10:15 PM and ran to my connection gate arriving exactly at 10:20. The gate attendants informed me that my flight had left, my bags were on the way to my destination city and that I would need to spend the night in the connection city. The attendants, appeared disinterested and impolite but upon prompting provided us with a hotel voucher for the night. The next day we arrived at the airport 2 hours before boarding and waited at the gate. When it was near the time for departure we were informed that the plane had been downgraded and requests were made for some to give up their seats for a later flight or check carryon bags to make room for other passengers. While some lined up to give up their seats and bags, those who chose to remain on the original flight were forced to wait before boarding the plane. We were then told that we would have to wait until the pilot and crew arrived before boarding. Scheduled departure time was 5:46 PM but the time got pushed back until we boarded around 6:30, departure was rescheduled to 6:50 PM. We boarded the plane and waited for departure but a few minutes later the pilot informed us that "he just got here" and that there were mechanical problems that would cause further delay. After an hour we were informed that the plane was not able to fly and instructed to go to another gate for another plane. Departure time got rescheduled to 8:30 PM. The plane departed after 9 PM and arrived at 10:30 PM for a 5:46 PM scheduled departure."
Cons: "we boarded on time and were on tarmac for over an hour and a half with no explanation, no beverages."
Pros: "Crew ok ... not engaging"
Pros: "There was an incredibly large passenger next to me and I was essentially afforded only a quarter of my seat. It is not really fair for anyone to have to sit next to someone taking up twice their seat."
Cons: "The DCA airport was having some problem. 1.5 hours late. Not very good."
Pros: "Reliable Airline - on time - kept up to date on flight timing - Great crews."
Cons: "Good stuff."
Pros: "No delays. Easy boarding."
Pros: "Internet access. Waiting area at JFK with charging stations for every seat and a tablet to order food & drink."
Pros: "Amazing crew"
Cons: "Wifi didn't work"
Cons: "Flight was delayed by an hour. No explanation given"
Cons: "It took longer to get from nyc to dc that it did Venice to NYC. Horrible....got home at 2am"
Pros: "On time boarding. Good entertainment options, friendly staff"
Pros: "Crew was good"
Cons: "No idea why there was over a two hour delay."
Pros: "We were able to fly standby on our original 2:30p flight but had to return to DCA for checked baggages later that day"
Cons: "Connecting flight from JFK to DCA was moved from approx 2:30p to nearly 8p, making our layover 7+ hours, as opposed to 1-2 hours. No reason for this change was provided. Delta crew member in JFK was rude and unhelpful. The second agent (who ultimately booked our standby tickets for our original connecting flight) was more pleasant."
Pros: "The crew onboard was very good."
Cons: "My 4 year old daughter and I were not seated together and I was told that a 4year old could not sit alone yet Delta refused to move anyone. Instead I had to get on board and beg someone to please wait h seats with us."
Pros: "Early boarding for Seniors"
Cons: "Limited food"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "They were short 1 flight attendant, delayed us for 3 hours"
Pros: "The efficiency of having my boarding pass on my phone (Apple Wallet). The Kayak and Delta apps streamlined perfectly and I was able to check in and pay for luggage through Kayak! I just need to do better at checking my phone due to both apps sending me updates about flight delays and luggage locations"
Cons: "Lack of space from being confined to the middle seat but the passengers next to me were nice and the plane ride was over before I realized it."
Pros: "Boarding was easy. Checking in was easy, the overall flight was quiet and quick and on time"
Cons: "Nothing to report here"
Pros: "Crew was very kind"
Cons: "Delta delayed us SEVEN times and I type this as we are rounding our 30th minute waiting to get off the plane at Logan."
Pros: "Great crew"
Cons: "AC was not working properly and it was very hot and miserable trip"
Pros: "Arrived safely"
Cons: "Crew arrived late from Buffalo (?!?!) so our 7:59 flight didn’t start boarding until very close to that time. That delay, as Delta well knows, dominoed into LGA’s ATC issues and resulted in an arrival at DCA well after our scheduled arrival."
Pros: "Thanks to Angel in the ATL airport who helped ensure I had a more comfortable flight. He was very kind and I appreciated his help."
Pros: "The flight attendant, Winsom, was fantastic."
Pros: "The seats."
Cons: "In typical Delta fashion they boarded, deplane, board it again and then beat the plane. Blamed it on weather even though a full maintenance crew was beneath the plane in the entire time and, for the coup de gras moved a new flight an hour later 30 gate down. Classic Delta hopefully they'll be out of business in a year"
Cons: "Disgusting smell to urine and else. It was a two-hour bad experience"
Pros: "I will always fly Delta. I have tried other airlines and they don't conmpare to Delta's service"
Pros: "Friendly service"
Cons: "The booking was done through vayama and the confirmation numbers didn't match with delta's. It was confusing. I had to talk to a delta rep and give her the eticket # and at that point, she gave me a new confirmation #, that I was able to use to check in with on delta"
Pros: "I have always known of airlines to offer preboarding to those military members in uniform or on official orders. Delta took it one step further and allows prior service members to board also."
Pros: "The movie availability was very much appreciated."
Cons: "Although my TSA Pre check number was on my flight coming into Atlanta, it wss not on my fight leaving Atlanta. That caused me to arrive at my gate 5 mins before boarding time and prevented me from having time to eat breakfast before my flight."
Pros: "The free TV was nice."
Cons: "A tiny bag of pretzels is a stingy snack. Aeromexico gave us a croissant with two pieces of cheese, applesauce and a square of chocolate."
Pros: "Easy boarding, not a full flight, had plenty of room to stretch out, friendly flight crew, extra snacks!"
Cons: "Not much to say I didn't like, few problems with in-flight WiFi but otherwise good."
Pros: "Service of all the flight staff, smooth flight, and early arrival. Staff was very courteous and helpful"
Cons: "Nothing really. It was an uneventful flight with good service"
Pros: "Allowed Pre boarding of infant (which American no longer does), complimentary food, entertainment on domestic flight, and friendly staff. Delta is upping the game!"
Cons: "Flight was late by almost 2 hours!!!"
Pros: "Good food and entertainment choices on board. Little to no feedback from captain regarding inflight turbulence."
Cons: "Getting through security at the LAX Delta Terminal 2 was chaotic and the slowest I have ever encountered. There were two lines which moved at very different speeds. My husband got through his line 15min before I was finished in the other line. One line required iPads to be other, the other didn't. Something was seriously wrong with how things were being handled. Bathrooms onboard were a pigstie."
Pros: "Friendly crew"
Cons: "The cost of the ticket"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Employees at the Atlanta airport have a SERIOUS chip on their shoulders. Just when you thought seats couldn't get any smaller or closer together. Paid for priority boarding but the boarding pass still said zone 3. Employees could care less."
Cons: "Delayed"
Cons: "Cancelled my flight then re-booked me for the next day; was able to then find a flight same day but 7 hours later. That then was delayed another 4 hours and I had to buy a rental car to drive home instead. Thus far they have been unresponsive in getting me a refund for my travel. Don't fly Delta."
Pros: "I was delayed coming from an international flight and was so thankful for the help from delta at the counter and at the gate. I did lose my bag but that was my fault in the confusion of jfk. I got my bag in 2 days."
Cons: "When i got my bag back the handle wouldn't go down fully. Baggage handlers must've mishandled it and bent something."
Pros: "On time...great service!"
Cons: "Seats were a bit narrow."
Pros: "delayed. equipment failure."
Pros: "The prompt transfer"
Cons: "My one piece of hard shell luggage has a special, difficult way of latching. As long as nobody opens it, it stays fine for shipping. The problem is your greedy Chinese luggage handling thieves who work for your airlines in Chinese airports. Whenever they can steal from luggage, they always try to steal from passengers, particularly American. I have had multiple experiences with theft from Chinese airports. I have been to China and back to the USA five times. Many times, items have disappeared from my suitcases in Chinese airports. That is why I decided not to move to China to live but instead move to Indonesia. However, if I fly any plane that transfers my luggage in China, I can usually expect to have my luggage robbed. Although this time, nothing was missing from my luggage, that fact that your people had to wrap my suitcase in plastic (because they did not know the secret for relatching it) and resend it a day later, that is proof that one of your airport personnel opened it to see what he could steal and then got caught because he could not close it again. I am really really really tired of you Chinese thieves. I blame all of you because you are all a product of Mao Tse Tung’s godless atheistic evil society. The Chinese have proven to me again and again that they cannot be trusted. A Kong Chinese official even stole my Ohio driver’s license when I transferred through that airport on a previous trip to Jakarta. I understand your problem. If you fire all dishonest luggage department workers, you will not have any workers remaining. That is why you will always rank as a third world backward primitive society even though you buy expensive airplanes that you don’t build and dress your people up like professionals which they aren’t. AS LONG AS Chinese airport luggage people are dishonest and cannot be trusted, your entire airline is a failure. That is not prejudice against Chinese people. I know some honest good ones. They are all Christians, the kind of good people the corrupt Chinese government hates. An atheistic country is an evil country. Do not expect to be respected by honest people. You people clearly do not deserve it. You are still in the stone age when it comes to professionalism which requires total honesty, a quality which your luggage handlers consider to be dispensable. Such cave men they are!"
Pros: "plane left on time"
Cons: "seats were too close, luggage was delayed,"
Cons: "Everything was good"
Pros: "The Consistency!"
Cons: "Location of the gates in Charlotte are always so far away from one another!"
Pros: "Good crew and service"
Cons: "Tough landing at DC but it was the wind"
Cons: "30 min to de-ice an E170? Why?"
Pros: "Awesome Customer Service"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Flight was short."
Cons: "Everything else"
Cons: "Not being delayed for 6 hours would’ve been better."
Cons: "Delay"
Cons: "Weather delay 5 hours"
Cons: "AA provided me NO assistance when my flight was cancelled and I had to make arrangements on my own, which caused me to incur in extra expending."
Pros: "Seats were not too cramped."
Cons: "Wifi that actually worked."
Pros: "I hated the whole experience"
Cons: "I’ve never flown American Airlines and the flight was on time."
Cons: "O prematurely had to check my carry on when there was room to bring it on board with me"
Cons: "Excelente"
Pros: "Free movies on the included display and electric outlets are top notch."
Cons: "I wish they would offer food service more in the middle as we just ate before boarding."
Pros: "All the crew were pleasant"
Cons: "There was a delay but we weren’t well informed"
Cons: "Better seat cushions! There is not much padding & the seats get really hard."
Cons: "The plane was so hot temperature wise. I was literally sweating in a T-shirt"
Pros: "Their CRJ was very comfortable. More comfortable and modern than what I’ve seen on a lot of Skywest/delta connection flights. Crew was great"
Cons: "I'm a tall person and there wasn't an option to get a seat with any extra leg room. Additionally, the gate staff were not helpful or informative about the flight and rushed when it was time to board."
Pros: "The free entertainment."
Cons: "Everything was great."
Pros: "On-time arrival; competent crew"
Cons: "Nothing; the flight was OK."
Pros: "The flight to Washington was fine. It was the flight back that I have issues with."
Cons: "My issue with flying back American is that...I didn't. They boarded us on the plane, moved down the tarmac, and then checked to see that we had a brake problem. They took our plane out of service (which I get, I would want brakes before takeoff), but then they never updated us on our status, until I physically went to the counter to ask an hour later. This is when they informed me that the flight was cancelled and we were rebooked on the 9pm flight (Mind you, this is 12:30p and I have a 2 year old with me). Luckily, I was able to book JetBlue and get home earlier (8:00pm)"
Cons: "Very inefficient that all bags had to be checked on the jet way and then picked up on the jet way. The picking up on the jet way turned into a cluster F."
Pros: "Nice modern plane. Even though the flight was delayed, we ended up boarding earlier than expected and arrived pretty close to our original expected arrival time."
Cons: "The crew was nice and everything, but they weren't very good at making announcements on the loudspeaker. You could tell they didn't really know what they were saying or haven't practiced. One lady was trying to make a sales pitch for a new master card and you could tell she was reading and there were long pauses. My sense is that when using the loudspeaker to talk to the entire flight, one should be practiced and know what they're saying and communicate quickly and efficiently. Don't mean to be critical, but it's something that I noticed that could be improved."
Pros: "Boarded and took off on time; great crew"
Cons: "Waiting 30 minutes to get off the plane because they couldn't use the gate assigned to them."
Pros: "Shabby Cramped"
Cons: "Cramped Uncomfortable"
Cons: "Flight was delayed for hours- weather related, but at other destinations- so this flight had to wait to be rescheduled. Also they weren't able to give any idea when the flight would be boarding- they just kept sending text alerts that it was delayed another half hour and no updates were listed on the screens. When the flight finally left, after I had been waiting for over 5 hours, we were told that they would be flying low, so there would be no beverage service. It would be nice in these situations to simply have bottled water to pass out quickly, or make the announcement prior to boarding so people would be able to bring their own beverages."
Cons: "The flight was cancelled. I didn't receive a refund or free hotel accommodations. I've been on flights in Africa where free hotel accommodations were standard for a layover over 3 hours. A little embarrassing that an airline in America can't afford a hotel for people stranded in a city overnight."
Pros: "it was ok"
Cons: "I paid extra for a window seat but had to sit in different spot. Set in isle seat"
Pros: "Crew was good."
Cons: "Boarding is terrible at DCA for commuter flights. You get on a bus packed in like sardines and the stand there for 15 minutes."
Cons: "ATC delay on take off and then a 10 min wait for a gate a DCA. Just disappointing in adding delays."
Pros: "The quick boarding and kind flight attendants"
Cons: "Seat wouldn't recline. Somewhat nauseous smell at first."
Pros: "Bought a ticket from Alaska Air, but got farmed out to American, If I wanted to fly in American, I would have bought a ticket from them. This also made checking in a lot more confusing..."
Pros: "Great crew!"
Cons: "Pilot did a great job getting here, but gate was blocked by a fuel truck and sat on the tarmac for an extra 20 minutes! Pilot has now asked for a tug to pull us in."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Everything"
Pros: "I was not able to seat with my son, I was not very happy about it."
Pros: "Excellent aircraft. EJR190. Not big but very comfortable aircraft. AA has decided to give actual leg room. Nice experience even in the back of the aircraft."
Cons: "AA needs to work on boarding logistics at LaGuardia. It's confusing to have to shuttle across the tarmac to another terminal. If the flight times had been closer I would not have arrived in time to board."
Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "Nothing"
Cons: "They could've fed us or least gave us more drinks when we were rerouted and stick in the Norfolk airport for hours."
Pros: "food"
Cons: "My flight was overbooked. I almost didn't make it home."
Cons: "No tv/movies."
Pros: "Easy connections"
Pros: "Because our plane sat on the tar mat in both White Plains and D.C. for over 40 minutes after an hour delay, we missed our connection to Knoxville. AA refused to offer any assistance with a hotel or rental car and literally ran through their script versus showing any empathy. Terrible experience and will never fly AA again."
Cons: "Because our plane sat on the tar mat in both White Plains and D.C. for over 40 minutes after an hour delay, we missed our connection to Knoxville. AA refused to offer any assistance with a hotel or rental car and literally ran through their script versus showing any empathy. Terrible experience and will never fly AA again"
Pros: "The crew was good."
Cons: "Washington airport grounded our flight for no apparent reason while we were on the runway in Indy about to take off, then didn't tell us when we could expect the delay to end."
Cons: "Worse customer service ever inside and outside the plane. Try he daughter was traveling with a 3 year old and they didn't want to change their seats together are u kidding me my daughter had to be asking in the plane but they did it for other people."
Pros: "All great."
Pros: "Landed safely."
Cons: "100 degree plans before taking off for mechanical reasons. Upon arrival it looked like a refugee camp in baggage claim area. A bunch of bags unclaimed scattered about. The screen said carousel 12 and confirmed it with local reps and then after waiting for a while some passenger says "if you're coming from Charlotte the bags are at 11, that's where I found mine". The miracle of flight is a miracle. I rarely complain but more often than not when flying domestically I realize how stretched the airlines are."
Pros: "The crew went out of their way to see that I was seated easily before the crowd came on board."
Cons: "The cookies are ok but not very refreshing. I prefer Pepsi to Coke. Being in a wheel chair, I didn't have the option to stop at a food place to get something to eat before boarding. It was so extremely cold in the cabin."
Pros: "Quick flight"
Cons: "Never given complimentary beverage"
Cons: "It was a mess from start to finish. Ridiculous lines. Ridiculous covid rules. They have us all shoulder to shoulder in tiny waiting areas then suddenly we get on line to board and have to stand six feet apart and then on the plane we are squashed all together anyway. It’s all so stupid. Not having the ability to get a boarding pass from the online app or printed made me have to wait in a line 300 people long to access the kiosk and then half of them were down. Then another line maybe 500 people long just to be allowed up the escalator to where there is another line to go through exuding checks. Nuts!!! My flight was an hour and I spent three hours online getting to it!!!"
Pros: "Same"
Cons: "Hire better competent people"
Cons: "FOOD/SNAKS"
Cons: "Less crowded, with better two-bag carryons enforcement forces coach and more latitude for First Class."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Meals, better service, didn't provide me with a wheel chair as I'm pregnant and had my nine months old daughter with me. Very bad experience."
Cons: "Direct flight"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Luthsansa sent the reminder 30 prior the flight that was a delay on the flight operated by United. I called customer service they do don’t helped and hanged up twice. Finally after waiting for an hour on the airport the same flight was change 4 times more. A manager in United got us in a different flight but we arrived 40 minutes later to Madrid and missed our connection to our other flight. I had to buy a one way expensive tickets because my connection was loss due to the issues with the FL rigth from Charlotte"
Pros: "The crew was very good and the seats were also fine"
Pros: "Meals were decent."
Pros: "Cost"
Cons: "Aircon too cool"
Pros: "They really help out families with young children."
Cons: "Internet wasn't working."
Pros: "Boarded a little early and everything was moved along smoothly and efficiently. Quick and painless. Very smooth landing."
Pros: "I felt spoiled with all the service and the ice cream was a special treat. I had never gotten ice cream on an oversea trip. Thanks."
Cons: "I wished that some of the children would have left the window blinds down so we could sleep."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Tea - disgusting brown liquid! What about a tea bag, or I gladly would take just a cup of hot water to brew my own. Sandwiches: turkey with cheese or cheese. I am allergic to milk (common allergy), you put milk products everywhere. Vegan is the only option, sadly it is usually some sort of Asian food and I am not Asian, have a gag reflex when I smell Indian food. This was not Air India flight, but smelled like one!!! Will avoid flying with United. Somehow, although I booked on purpose with Brussels Air, without my consent (!!!) I was sold tickets for United operated flight. Please, don't tell me that customers are your #1 priority, because they are NOT!"
Pros: "Poor experience sitting in the seats right in front of emgency exit. I’m not that tall at 5’11’ and sitting straight up I had 1 inch between my knees and seat in front with no ability to recline."
Pros: "Very comfortable flight"
Pros: "My wife and I flew Lufthansa a good deal in the 1970s and 80s, we stopped in the early 90s because I was working with young people and had difficulties provided them with a non-smoking environment. This is the first time I have used Lufthansa since 1992. Based on the flights over and back, I believe we will start using it again."
Cons: "Experience with partner airlines is not as good as with Lufthansa directly. I mean, Austrian and United. They do not provide the same attention to detail, courtesy, or organization, particularly pre boarding and boarding."
Pros: "The flight went very smoothly from start to finish"
Pros: "Staff was friendly"
Cons: "United has a system glitch and we were delayed. I got in around 1 am instead of 11 pm. I decide to order a glass of wine and since they don’t give receipts. I found out i was charged for 2 glasses instead of one. To top it off the co-worker i was traveling with didn’t get charged due to the inconvenience and delay. i travel a lot with United (higher status than him) and would have liked that offer (and not get charged one i didn’t order) being a mileage plus and credit card holder. I did go on line and ask for a credit and they did make it right and give me a credit."
Pros: "Easy check in. Good flight. Good food."
Cons: "No drinking water was offered on the plane from Pittsburgh to Washington DC."
Cons: "Had anightmare will complain to united diect"
Pros: "They staff was friendly and they boarded efficiently."
Cons: "The worst part of the flight was the fact that they have redesigned their planes. They have put the seats even closer together and their new seats are horribly uncomfortable. The seats are made out of a hard molded plastic. There is no give and they don’t form to you back at all. Their comfort level I would rank at a zero! I had thought they may not be bad for a domestic flight as mine was international, however, I also had them for a domestic and they were equally uncomfortable. I will be checking off of United on my next flight as I can not sit in a seat this uncomfortable ever again! Try again United!!! #UnitedSeatsUncomfortable, #HorridSeats,"
Pros: "The crew was very polite at every moment"
Cons: "I really liked everything"
Pros: "I was separated from my 4 year old and 7 year old children as well as our husband. We bought our tickets together but we're out on 4 different rows. I asked flight attendant for help and she was rude. She talked to my husband who was further in the back and came back and told everyone it was ok for my kids to not be with their parents because my husband said it was ok. It was not ok, it was awful. After I started crying someone finally traded spots. But I didn't like that my husband's wishes over Road mine, it was misogynistic and she was a woman, a very condescending women."
Cons: "That our family was separated. That the female flight attendant talked down to me in a misogynistic way"
Pros: "Landing in Dulles"
Cons: "Poor boarding - had to walk steps with luggage, board a bus and wait for 10 mins in hot weather, then had to walk steps to plane with luggage. Plane - no place for cabin baggage and people had stuffed inefficiently their bags; crew did not seem to care Crew - did not care, pointing fingers at people like they do not know English, no sense of pride or commitment in their job; they might as well thrown food at us Food - bad, lucky we were hungry Entertainment screen - not working well Flight was smooth I do not know why Lufthansa partners with United Airlines."
Pros: "The crew were excellent and receptive to needs on the flight."
Cons: "Baggage Claim was a nightmare. I did not receive a baggage ticket when I checked my bag in London. Part of that is my fault. I should have made sure I had one. It took an extra long time to get my bag. Everyone else had left the area from my flight and I approached the counter. The attendant at the counter was rude. She said she couldn't help me unless I had the baggage claim ticket. Which I get that, but it all comes down to how she said it to me. She went over to the carousel and said that my flights bags were still going around and at that time I saw my bag. I said there it is to her and she responds, well you can go get it yourself then. Just completely rude. It all came down to how she responded to me. I was freaking out at the prospect of my bag being lost and she responded as clipped and uncompassionately as possible."
Pros: "The movies were good - glad it was free and nice selection"
Cons: "US Pre-clearance in Dublin was ridiculous. I don't know what else to say about it. They were even holding us going down the escalator to the actual screening part. It was just one crazy queue to another. Will definitely make me think about ever going through Dublin again."
Pros: "The cabin crew themselves were great. The pilots offered my child to go see the cabin and everyone on the actual plane was great."
Cons: "The United employees at check in kiosk were very unorganized and unhelpful. I was traveling internationally with a small child and had two pieces of luggage to check in. Normally you just go to the counter once and they do everything including taking your luggage once they weigh it. Instead, I had to go to the self check in kiosk, then back to the counter to weigh my luggage, take off the one luggage from the scale, weigh the second one, then go back to the self check in kiosk, then was told to take off the second luggage as well, then finally went to a second counter where the lady handwritten my luggage tags and then was told to take both pieces of luggage and put them somewhere else altogether with specific directions on where to put them. This is something normally handled by the actual employees. Also, the check in dude yelled at my kid for putting in his name into the check in kiosk while we were waiting on the check in dude to do all those unorganized activities. He claimed it would break the software if my kid were to enter his name. I have told him that no, the software will not break if my child enters in his name."
Cons: "Missed the lufthanza flight by 5 minutes. United should have coordinated to have Lufthansa wait for 6+ passengers making the same connection or should have had an airport cart expedite us across terminals and gates to make the flight."
Cons: "They kept delaying the flight. It stressed me out."
Pros: "2 hrs late!"
Cons: "Everything"
Pros: "The people were very nice! The entertainment although not easy to access was free. snacks were meh but ok. They did what they could to make us comfortable after flight was delayed 2.5 hours."
Cons: "The flight was delayed for 2.5 hours was out of the control of the crew. They did what they could. But the plane was cramped. Not enough space. Everyone was cramped. We missed our connecting flight they put us up in a hotel and booked alternate flights. We had to stand out in the cold waiting for a shuttle to take us to the hotel. The hotel staff said more than once they were not prepared for all of us and getting us from airport to hotel and in rooms was almost another 2 hours. That gave us 3.5 hours to sleep before we started in the next journey. Of 4 hours from take off to landing in our home city. I had to pay for my baggage to go onto another airline."
Pros: "This leg home had nice United staff but bumpy. I got seasick but the cabin folks were kind. The leg out in a small plane was bad with one surly female cabin aide. I will tell United in a separate correspondence."
Cons: "Was not able to pick my food choice as I was sitting in the back rows even though I paid the same amount for the ticket as the person who sat 20 rows I. Front of me and could pick their prefer food"
Pros: "The first leg of this flight was excellent. Good crew, excellent service, great entertainment centers, comfortable seating, enough room in aisle to allow movement. The second leg of our journey ( From D.C. to Seattle) was another story."
Pros: "Flight left on time. Arrived in DC 15 minutes early. Did not use entertainment so no comment there but overall I had no complaints."
Cons: "One of the flight attendants was having an "off" day - the bin she had closed over my head opened during takeoff (nothing fell out), and later she broke a glass on my tray, sending pieces of glass into my lap. Not damage done (except that I didn't finish my last few bites of lunch!), and everyone has an off day sometimes..."
Pros: "Crew and they kept you well feed"
Cons: "I just could not get comfortable"
Pros: "Found what was expected from the flight. Hats up to the take off that happened on time in a busy airport."
Cons: "Aircraft is tiny and seats are narrow."
Pros: "They held the plane due to delays in customs"
Pros: "Aircraft with old decoration. Could not see a single smile from the crew."
Pros: "Comfortable and enjoyable flight, efficient crew without delays."
Cons: "Poor food - even going for the safe pasta option. Very disappointing & not enjoyable."
Cons: "Recent airline corporation consolidation has greatly reduced consumer choice. The surviving major airlines, in their effort to cut costs, sacrifice quality control and assurance. Pittsburgh's status as "no longer a major hub" was on full display here. United needed to have customer service agents available on site, but they did not. The review could easily turn into an essay on United's complete failure (ask the remaining passengers who were supposed to be on the PIT-IAD), but such a review would not change the state of affairs in the airline industry. I will be contacting United reps to lodge an official complaint."
Pros: "NOTHING."
Cons: "We had a confirmed reservation on tickets that I bought months ago. However, when we went to get our seats, the flight had been oversold. We were involuntarily booted off the flight- even though one on standby got a seat, and another person did not show up- we could have gotten on the flight! We were heavily compensated and the staff were as generous as they could be, but it was completely frustrating and upsetting when you have to go through that, after ahead time planning to be booted off a flight like that."
Pros: "Pittsburgh International Airport's wheelchair service was excellent (provided separate from United Airlines)."
Cons: "I was traveling for the first time in crutches. As soon as I approached the check-in counter, the lady at the counter asked me rudely "Are you checking in any luggage?". I first told her that I requested assistance getting to the gate and asked if it would be by a wheelchair or a cart. She didn't answer the question, and repeated the same question. Since I had one carry-on size bag, I asked if I need to check it in, or if I can bring it with me when they help me get to the gate. To which she replied in a very irritated tone, "I'm asking you if you need to check it in! Can you bring the bag on-board and put it away in the overhead bin YOURSELF WITHOUT ANY HELP?", hinting that no one will provide any help... At this point, I went ahead and checked in my bag. Thank God the wheelchair service is provided by a separate vendor, because he was wonderful and helpful. While we waited to board, the flight was delayed a few times. I could not hear the announcement from where I was sitting, but I noticed people started to make a line by the central info counter. 4:42pm, I received the cancellation notice via email. Because of my injury, I was unable to wait in line for long, so I chose to sit and wait next to the counter, until the line got shorter. 1 hour later, the line was growing even longer. 6pm, I re-booked a new flight for the next day via iPhone app, however, it was still showing the old boarding pass that I was automatically re-booked for. I still had to talk to someone from United to confirm, also to ask for wheelchair to get back to the main building, so I continued to wait. At one point, one of the United employees moved to the side counter to make a call re: another flight that arrived. I went and stood right in front of her and said "Excuse me, I have a quick question about wheelchair service". She looked at me right in my eyes, but she started talking to the other person on the phone. After she hung up, she ignored me and went back to the center counter, leaving me confused as to what just happened... At this point, I did not even want to make another attempt to ask for help. 7:20pm, the line went down to 3 people; a gentleman with a bad knee, another gentleman with a bad leg and myself on crutches... Am I the only one to think there is something wrong with this picture? 7:40pm, I was finally on the way back to the main building with a wheelchair service, which by the way is run by a group of amazing people. I am not complaining about the delays and cancellations. I understand it happens. I am not expecting that someone like me with temporary disability automatically receives first place in line. I do, however, wish United was more aware of some people who are in need of assistance, while being fair to other passengers. I cannot imagine how difficult it is for people with disabilities to travel with United Airlines."
Pros: "Once I was on the flight it was fine except for the food which was decent"
Cons: "On my outbound flight from IAD to BRU my flight was delayed 3.5 hours because the "plane was late to arrive". Seems like this happens a lot on United flights. The staff at the gate of Dulles airport were extremely rude and difficult to deal with, which made it frustrating to try and figure out my connection situation. I missed my connection from Brussels to Paris and had to buy a train ticket for which I was not reimbursed by United. Then, on the way back from Paris, my flight was delayed 2.5 hours for the same reason. At least this time I had a direct flight. This entire experience makes me think twice about flying United again. I live in DC and it would be just as (in)convenient for me to go to BWI instead of Dulles for international flights, where there seems to be more options outside of flying United."
Cons: "The flight was delayed so that I would miss my connecting flight so they change me to a different flight which was been cancelled and I had to get a different flight to Detroit where I landed as far from my departing gate as you could possibly make it with 20 minutes to get there"
Pros: "Loved the snack! The plane was small, so when we hit turbulence my bottom actually left the seat....SO glad I had my seat belt on, fun ride."
Cons: "It was a bit hard to get up the stairs, would like to know ahead of time if I have to go outside & climb ."
Cons: "Staff wasn’t really engaging and acted as if they didn’t want to be on the flight"
Cons: "Seats that recline would’ve been appreciated."
Cons: "The flight was delayed for almost 2 hours."
Pros: "Still no entertainment options or internet on spirit. Ok if price and schedule performance holds strong. Considering no recline seats, seat is surprisingly comfortable for short trips."
Cons: "Baggage claim still slow considering you have to pay for."
Cons: "That we were delayed with not many updates. We arrived at 5 am for a 7 am flight and didnt board until an hour after the said departure time."
Pros: "It was easy to get on and off the plane"
Cons: "Seats don’t recline due to no leg room. When we got to our destination we had leg and knee problems as all in my family are between 5’7 - 6’1. Baggage fees are horrible I was told my purse was considered my free carryon!! luggage can’t be over 40pounds! Lastly baggie fees go up as you get closer to departure. Just a horrible airline which we will NEVER fly again as you don’t save money at all."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Customer service was poor and flight attending was super rude. This would be my last time taking Spirit and I would make sure I inform everyone I know. I was charged twice the amount when I got to my terminal. How unprofessional. Karl, Daniel Emeri."
Pros: "flight attendant was nice, but..."
Cons: "The flight attendant said that i was sick and they escorted me off the plane after i ran to it from check in counter because they were boarding already. I ate literally in the car before i got to the air port, so check in told me to run to make it. the tsa knew i asked people if i can jump ahead in line and they said yes, they all knew i was in a hurry, the boarding door guy knew that i was out of breath and i told him i was out of shape, so dont mind me. I was one of the last people to sit down. So after 15 minutes of me cooling down, and after the flight attendant gave me water, napkins, and an ice pack, then i felt nauseous and i threw up in the bathroom. I felt much better because it was the food that i just ate right before i did all the running. I told them that this is what happened, and as you can see i am sweaty and was in a hurry to make it here. they said for my safety that i need to get off the plane to be examined. I literary purged the full stomach i had after running from one end of the air port to the other. It has been told to most people that you must let your food digest before doing physical activity. I am out of shape and that run over exerted my body. So they had me removed off the plane, after i desperately attempted to make the flight before they stopped boarding, which i did, and I got taken off. Rude."
Pros: "Low cost travel with no frills attached. Friendly crew. On-time boarding, before scheduled time arrival! Had heard a lot of bad things but my experience was not bad at all."
Cons: "Not even basic beverages & snacks provided for 5-6 hour flight."
Pros: "What did I like? That we landed, intact. Thank you Mr. Pilot, you were the only solid investment in this wretched saga."
Cons: "Where to begin. I suppose we wittingly pay (or rather don't pay) for the space, so I'll focus on the crew. The attendants were rude, not just to me, but to an older lady who didn't speak much English. It all started when The woman had gone to the restroom and was trying to get back to her seat. But the beverage service had already started, so the woman stepped up to the cart, about three steps behind, and politely waited for it to move up the plane, thus freeing her to get to her seat. Instead, the flight attendant yelled at her at the top of her lungs to "get back "! As if that wasn't enough, the attendant proceeded to push the cart backward into the woman so that she would step back, and did not relent until the woman was back at the end of the plane, standing at the bathroom. What a disgrace."
Cons: "Did not like quality of the plane too small seats and not too clean either"
Pros: "When the lost luggage was returned (nothing missing) they put a cute tag on it that said "I missed you". But the aggravation was not worth the humorous picture of a bag with open arms. May I suggest that future passengers don't check luggage in more than 2-1/2 hours in advance. I suspect that they may not yet have a cart to accumulate luggage for your flight."
Pros: "The crew during the flight was pleasant."
Cons: "They say why're the cheapest airline around, and that's true....in the worst ways. The flight itself isn't expensive, but they charge $30 per bag you carry on and more for checked bags. They don't offer free water on long flights, and they make you pay for any and all beverages. Nothing is included in your flight. Their new planes, while 'green' and fuel efficient are unbearably uncomfortable to fly in. The seats are hard molded plastic with about an inch of padding and aren't adjustable T all. Flying more than four hours was pure hell, seated upright. Also, be sure to pay for your bag at the ticket counter. They charge you twice as much at the gate if you don't remember. And it's printed on your boarding pass, so don't think they're letting you off easy. It's a trap to get you to pay more."
Cons: "Repeated delays, before take off and after landing. Announcements of brief delays after landing raised expectations, and when they proved inaccurate heightened anxiety about prolonged wait. Despite no turbulence for long period after reaching cruising altitude, the seatbelt sign remained on, thus preventing use of the lavatories."
Pros: "That the plane actually landed."
Cons: "2 hours late and 5 different gates. The funny part was kayaks notifications of gate changes were faster than Spirits Crew. When I asked if the new information was correct she gave me attitude. Then 10 minutes later reported the new gate that Kayak had already determined. That was just boarding. Paid for the more comfortable/spacious seating which was nice but useless when coupled with seats that do not recline whatsoever. Painful and slightly torturous. Don't fly them you'll save money by choosing someone else. $ to pick seat $ to bring a carry on...those who didn't know that paid somethingnlike $65 at the gate. The worst. Never again."
Pros: "Nothing. If this airline lasts a year I will be surprised."
Cons: "Pricing is deceptive as any assigned seat costs extra. Boarding is a mess. I think they sell group 2 boarding as an extra but let group 2and 3 board together. Aisle, window and middle seats board together so people are constantly clogging aisles during boarding to let people into middle and window seats. As a result the policies that reduce carry-ons don't speed up boarding. They do clog up the departure lounge as people who haven't paid for a carry-on are pulled aside for a charge that makes their total flight cost the same as a carrier with the usual, albeit slim, amenities of most domestic airlines. This flight was hours late as was the other leg of this trip. Seats do not recline, at all. Some seat backs are just a layer of fabric, so if someone puts a knee or foot forward you get a real jab."
Cons: "I accidentally booked an 9pm flight when I meant to select 9am flight at 8am after missing my jetblue flight. I needed to get to Baltimore for work. I went through security and while I was about to board the plane they turned me away due to my ticket being incorrect. The woman checking the boarding passes rudely said "there's no room on this plane so we can't switch this ticket to 9am." I went to Spirit customer service minutes after I was turned away and they told me there was in fact room on that plane. So because of an honest mistake, they 1) wouldn't refund my ticket and 2) were rude and unhelpful and refused to let me on a plane that had plenty of space but they didn't want to inconvenience themselves for 5 minutes to change my boarding pass even after I had gone through security. I will never book Spirit again, even if I'm desperate."
Pros: "Everything went smoothly"
Cons: "A lady helping to help us print boarding passes wasn't very professional. She just said, "you have to print your boarding passes before you go check in your bags." Her tone was commanding and rude. Could use improvement and some fine tuning. I know she didn't mean to be rude. Just needs more training. I got the notice of the gate change when I got home to Baltimore. And things are just too expensive. Even though I checked my bags and paid online, I still paid $40. Too expensive. And you pay for every little thing. I would fly Spirit again, but likely not my first choice."
Pros: "Despite the impending blizzard later that day, the flight arrived on time and was smooth enough I could catch a quick nap. Definitely helped with my anxiety with flying. We chose the seats with extra legroom and they were pleasant. Boarding on and off the plane was relatively quick because the plane wasn't huge. Would definitely fly Spirit again. The price was definitely a plus too."
Cons: "Overall the additional cost of carry-ons or checked baggage was annoying but it was hard to complain since our tickets were so cheap."
Pros: "We didn't die tragically young in a fiery inferno of plane parts."
Cons: "This is a very long list and repeats much of what I previously mentioned (hidden fees, lots of 'em), but I will add that at the gate there was some sort of mystery drama that led one of the staff members to some pretty exasperated proclamations. It seemed like a bunch of high schoolers running an airline with the amount of professionalism one might expect from a pep rally. We seriously had concerns about the staff's competence at that point. The strange smell just prior to take off and the instruction to close our vents so the plane could take off didn't do much to reassure."
Pros: "Love the prices and the cleanliness of the airplane. Every staff I have interacted with have been friendly, polite, and look as though they enjoy their job and coworkers. The Spirit terminal at the Baltimore airport is phenomenal. It is spacious, clean, bright and modern. I will definitely be flying Spirit again!"
Cons: "This is the second time that I have flown from Logan airport on Spirit. Both times I have been very disappointed and disgusted by the terminal. The terminal is crowded and unclean. There were crumbs, wrappers and bottles on the floor. The trash can near the gate was overflowing with boxes and napkins. I was in the terminal for over two hours and not once was the bathroom or terminal serviced by facilities or maintenance staff. The bathroom is dark and crowded as well. Because the stalls and space is so small it's hard to manage your bags while using the bathroom. I would highly encourage an extra shift for cleaning crew and perhaps a different layout for chairs to make it feel less crowded and to bring a modern feel and look to the terminal."
Pros: "I left the plane and vowed never to travel with them again. I travel a lot and they are the worst in terms of addons, trying to penalize by price, (not cheap) unless you have no reason to take luggage (like a meeting where you need a change of clothes There "basic" is cheap if you need nothing else, but when you start checking luggage at $50 a suitcase a round trip of $100 any bargain is soon gone. And some of the staff (the stewardess outbound from Baltimore is Ok. But they changed planes and the bigger seat I paid for was not available. Getting a refund required checking several times. Most said they couldn't do it. The final person in Baltimore, was "lounging: against the counter". Grabbed by ticket ungraciously. Was clearly irritated that I had a refund provlem that she "had" to deal with. No smile, NO NO For the uninitiated flyer they may work. If you don't know what else is available at what price and if you read there advertising and treat riding with the like voting for trump (believing all untruths) OK. Just not for me who is an experienced flyer. I had heard Spirit was bad from others who said they would never ride with them again. But I gave them one chance--they blew it. Anne"
Pros: "My trip once in Las Vegas was great, however my experience flying with Spirit was the worst for my girlfriend and I. We tried to pay our luggage fees from home but weren't able to do so from our mobile phones, they charged us each $55 for one piece of luggage & they only allow you 40 pounds. Then once at the gate & before boarding the plane they told me I had to pay $65 for my small carry on, it fitted perfectly in their sample measurement they have there & still the woman from Spirit told me if you want to get on the plane you need to pay $65 now or you'll lose the flight. Same for coming back. They didn't even allowed us to sit together. So initially the flight was apparently cheap but with all the expensive luggage fees came up to $500 RT from BWI to Vegas. Worst experience ever! I've flown all over & with many airlines & this has been the worst experience ever, I'm never flying with them again & same for my girlfriend."
Cons: "The alert was finally sent to us well past the time we would have been going through security. Luckily, we had checked on our own through a third party app,. No alternative flights were available, so we had to book on another airline and cancel the Spirit tickets. The credit policy is draconian. We may not be able to meet the redemption requirements and will probably lose the entire value. The process created so much frustration and wasted so much time. The low-ish price is simply not worth it."
Cons: "The guy sitting behind us had bronchitis and was coughing all over us and the flight attendants did nothing to help. It would have been nice if they offered him some water or a cough drop. I am still crossing my fingers that I don't get it."
Pros: "After getting through the gate, the boarding was simple."
Cons: "No mobile ticketing at O'hare. Security noted that Spirit requires you go through their ticket kiosks/desk, despite sending a mobile QR code to go through it when going through mobile check-in (itself a serious pain due to a terrible website). Further, they don't advertise that the cost of the seat and carry-on negates any savings on the ticket price itself. I couldn't even get a simple cup of water from flight attendants ("bottled water only, $3 per"). I will never willingly purchase a flight from Spirit again."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Our flight out of San Jose was delayed so we missed our connection from FLL to BWI."
Cons: "I expect when I am quoted a flight price that the price includes a seat. When I went to check in for my Spirit flight I discover that any seat has an additional charge. I call that false advertising. Worse of all is the Spirit check in process. I paid for my luggage and seat ( see above) in advance and printed out my boarding pass before I went to the airport. The check in procedure was a horror. Each of the two flights I still had to wait 40+ minutes to hand in my luggage. No check in machines. Just understaffed check in counters. Compare that Spirit check in experience with my last Southwest flight where I used a machine to print out my boarding pass and which also printed out my luggage tags and I just handed my luggage to an attendant.. Total Southwest check in time 5 minutes. Every one on line with me at Spirit was basically saying first time on Spirit and the last. Really the savings with Spirit in not that great when you add in the seat cost and the very high baggage charges. Not worth hassle for the small savings and resent the false price advertising"
Pros: "I arrived."
Cons: "Every time I fly Spirit Airlines, I swear I'll never do it again. Then I see the low fares and I say "okay, just one more time." This experience was another leg in that cycle. A low fare, a "one more time," and a fierce "oh hell no--never again." When I arrived at the airport, the ticket counter looked like a flea market. It was absolutely mobbed. My flight was departing in about an hour, and one woman in line had already been waiting for 2.5 hours. Since Spirit Airlines does not participate in the mobile boarding pass process (FOR SOME INANE GODFORSAKEN BULLSHIT REASON), I still had to check in and get my boarding pass. And since two other Spirit flights had recently been cancelled, the ticket counter line was a trainwreck. An utter mass of dispirited humanity, waiting, ironically enough, at a counter called "Spirit." I managed to maneuver my way through, and with several strokes of luck and a possible intervention from God, I left the sad zoo of passengers behind me and made it through security, to the gate, and into the boarding line, with my idiotic paper boarding pass. As you might imagine, I was somewhat rushed and a touch flustered, though grateful to be en route to my destination. I was thirsty though, a combination of the morning's odyssey, the recycled cabin air, and this human need to hydrate that we share with literally every living thing on the planet. So I waited patiently for the pilot to extinguish the "seatbelt" sign, walked up to the flight attendants and politely asked for a glass of water. "That will be $3.00," she said. I paused for a moment. Surely there must be a mistake. I wanted water. Not coffee or tea or lemonade or a cocktail. Just a glass of water. This is how I came to realize that access to something that is a biological necessity for survival--that I would be granted gratis almost anywhere else--costs, on Spirit Airlines. Only those with access to a functioning credit card will be served water. Now I understand that keeping costs down is the only way this poor excuse for an airline stays in business. Every one of its passengers is there as a personal compromise, dodging hidden fees for "legroom" and seat selection and peanuts at every turn to get to their location without selling their souls to the corporate demons who've re-vamped the age-old "bait and switch" and call it a bargain. But if Spirit persists in being a seething mess of a nightmare of a preposterous front of a business, and if their customers continue to play along and manage to navigate the utter catastrophe of a process it can become to reach a destination via Spirit Airlines, one might believe that once they sit down in their unassigned (unless you're willing to pay an additional $14 each way) se"
Pros: "The woman at the counter was very courteous and helpful. Otherwise, I was gouged for money at every step. The seats did not recline and there were zero entertainment options, not even an in-flight magazine. I will never fly spirit air again. On a positive note, the flight was on-time."
Pros: "The check-in/baggage drop off counter at LAX was extremely slow so they opened up the priority check-in lane to let the passengers through so they would not miss their flight. The seats are quite spacious for such a low-cost airline. The plane seemed clean and the flight crew appeared to be very friendly."
Cons: "For a cheap 100 usd flight from LA to Baltimore the real cost will end up in the extra luggage the airline makes you pay as they do not allow you to bring a carry-on piece onto the plane. This resulted in an additional cost of 100 usd for two small bags to be checked in."
Pros: "Loved the flight attendants. Very helpful and grateful they were willing to help me relocate to another seat forward of the rear."
Cons: "When I went online to purchase a seat the only one showing available was 28E at the far back of the plane. When I entered the random choice the assignment was 26C.... why was this one not shown??? And why couldn't I purchase a seat forward of the rear??? This flight was half empty. Thankfully the attendant moved me up to Row 11 which was totally empty. I do NOT like sitting in the back of the plane and that is why I try to purchase a seat over or forward of the wing. NOT a happy camper over this."
Pros: "ONCE i got on the flight. The actual crew members were lovely. Very personable. The plane was clean. Comfortable. Theer was no entertainment. No tv working anyway. But i was fine. IT WAS EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED BEFORE MY FLIGHT THAT WAS HORRIBLE>"
Cons: "Not only would i NEVER reccomend Spirit. I will be writing about how highly UN satisfied i wa with Spirit and i will HIGHLY discourage anyone of my readers and listeners on air to ever use Spirit. My first encounter was in Baltimore when the woman behind the counter argued with me until i missed my flight. Then when i explained i lost my credit card and HAD to get on the very next flight ( that she made me miss being rude and disrepectful ) i called my husband so he coudl give her our credit card toi book the next flight. She purposefully sat the phone down and waited on others. Then she let him give her all of his information and said Oh Well you have to call reservations. By the time he got through i missed that fligth too. I did not use Spirit that day ! Coming back theer was again a woman working for Spirit at the airport who again was rude and ignorant. She argued with me that i could not take my purse and my carry on bag on to the plane. I have been traveling business for over twenty five years. YES I CAN. AND I DID. Howevr not before she laid her hands on me. When i tried to walk away from her combative behavior. She grabbed my arm. NEVER will i ever say a nice word about Spirit. NEVER will i not try to telkl as many people as possible about the horrible people you have representing your company. They are the First Voice. The First face They are the ones you have chosen to be the FACE OF SPIRIT. You They are highly UN qualified. Most certainly NOT personale, polite , or professional. SMH. Absolutely DISGUSTING."
Pros: "I paid for 5 tickets so I liked the price."
Cons: "It cost me more than the price of 1 ticket to check only 2 bags both ways for the 5 of us. Checking in in Orlando was the worst experience ever and I fly at least monthly. We were put in 3 different lines in 30 minutes. The last line we were put in, the agent said she would have to charge us for PRINTING OUT BOARDING PASSES though we were told to go to that line without boarding passes. Security was terrible experience. Took forever. I nearly missed the flight. The door had already been closed when I got there. Airline staff were surly even though it was not my fault. Flight was good. Will never fly Spirit again"
Pros: "The crew was professional and handled the turbulence and dangers of the hurricane very well."
Pros: "Good flight"
Cons: "$55 each way froundtrip or a bag negates the bargain of the ticket"
Pros: "Fast boarding and unboarding."
Cons: "Charging $55 fee for a carry-on is way too much!! If you pay for your carry-ons online it is $10 dollars less.I tried to do that, but, unfortunately every time I tried to complete the transaction the page keep redirecting me to buy more "extra services". I chose check out without any extras but nothing!! The webpage was no responsive!! I tried to pay for my carry-on from my cell, laptop and tablet. But same result, that page became frozen without allowing me to pay the fee. I don't know if this was an unfortunately condidence, or is done on purpose to charge the extra $10!!"
Pros: "The person who helped us with our refund was very helpful."
Cons: "We arrived to the airport to check our bags and were informed that our flight had been delayed an hour for maintenance. No huge issue with us we decided to eat breakfast and then hang out for a bit before the flight boarded. We arrived at the gate to find out the plane was delayed another 8 hours. I understand issues happen all the time that are out of our hands. The gentleman at the gate was extremely helpful and accommodating, but he still gave it a 50/50 shot of the plane being cancelled or not. We opted to receive a refund and drive to Baltimore. I completely understand that this was a safety issue with the plane. I'm not upset that the flight was delayed. But having to wait 9 hours for a plane that may or may not be able to make it or be cancelled was tough."
Cons: "We had to wait on the tarmac for 30 minutes because the pilot needed to "fax" a document to get authorization to fly, then when we landed we had a delay getting out of the plane because the jet bridge had a mechanical issue and was unable to attach to the plane. I have never flew on an airline that had as many issues or that nickel and dimed its customers more."
Pros: "That we got to our destination safely"
Cons: "I felt like spirit finds anyway to make a buck from the customer. I know it was a cheap flight but there was a fee for everything. Almost $40 for the bag but it could only weigh 40 lbs. that's nothing. Most airlines are 50lbs. Also the seat was so uncomfortable, it doesn't even recline. On the way to FL the stewardess lied to my mother in law to get her to sign up for the credit card. She told her there was no peak travel and the brochure in the seat was old. Was informed in flight back to Baltimore that was wrong. Blatant lie which is completely unacceptable. I will pay the extra money next time to fly with another airline."
Pros: "The price of the flight. Flight Crew members were pleasant."
Cons: "I tend to make the best of all situations but this time it was very difficult. Honestly, I would rather pay the "hidden fees" for a more comfortable flight with the ability to recline my seat, travel with a carry on bag and have in flight refreshments without having to pay extra. Sitting in an upright position for 5 hours straight with no leg room is torture. The thought of dodging hidden fees is great but not at the expense of comfortability and incurring additional baggage and in flight fees. Unfortunately, I would not fly with this airline again unless the flight is 2 hours or less and it was the only option available. Bottled water should be free for travelers even if it's only the 8oz bottles. The snack/drink menu options are limited and the prices are ridiculous. Thank you for the services, however this will not be an option in the future."
Pros: "Polite staff on board"
Cons: "Unannounced gate change at the last minute. Almost missed plane because the change affected the terminal. It never displayed on the board. We had gone through security and had to exit the airport to get to the switched terminal which was far (10 walk) and had to get through new security check. After going through the full body scanner, a TSA agent patted my hair with her dirty gloves. Nobody should have their hair patted down after going through a full body scanner. This is a violation of my person, of my privacy. Also noted that only coloured women had their hair patted down. We should never be treated like animals or differently than other travelers."
Pros: "Spirit is known as an ultra low cost carrier. I did not know this when I purchased the tickets, so the fares we paid were a little less than that of competitors. The pros end there."
Cons: "For the amount of harassment one goes through to fly with Spirit, the slightly lower fares are not worth it. Frankly, it seems like a ploy to hook people and subsequently squeeze three nickels out of every dime for anything else on the flight. The boarding process was delayed by over an hour. The attendant speaking from the gate was rude, hostile, and obnoxious. Those boarding were practically interrogated to make sure the water bottle they were holding might not be an extra personal item. (You have to pay $55 for a carry-on but are allowed one personal item on Spirit. If you are caught carrying extra onto the plane without paying, it's a $100 fine. One which they are on the prowl for!) Once on the flight, there is no entertainment. There is no complimentary anything. You can buy food or drink with credit cards only. The seats do not even have a tilt function to them, so you can only sit upright. My personal favorite part of the flight was watching the fight that ensued between female passengers deboarding and the attendants that did nothing about it. Something about the ultra low cost carrier makes people crazed to get off the plane. At the end of a flight, everyone wants off a plane, but I have never seen such disorganized chaos and blatantly rude disregard for the deboarding process as on this flight. Next time I travel, I'll spend the extra $100 to fly with another airline. Lesson learned."
Pros: "Not one single thing!"
Cons: "Having to fly on Spirit, your crooked, deceitful, poor customer service ways. You are the bottom of the bottom! I can't believe that our government allows you to stay in business. Your planes are dirty, reeks of puke, and unsafe. It's only a matter of time before people start having health problems because of your dirty nasty planes and before the planes start falling out of the sky because of the old, poor maintained planes. Do us a favor and merge with another company who knows how to run an airline business like Southwest, American, Delta. Better yet, just SHUT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Added costs at every turn, missmanaged boarding, unhelpful flight attendants, no amenities, dirty plane!"
Pros: "It was a red eye flight, but the seats were so incredibly uncomfortable it was impossible to fall asleep. There was no leg room, they didn't recline, the head rest was at an awkward angle, and the seat wasn't soft in the slightest. DO NOT PLAN TO SLEEP ON A SPIRIT FLIGHT"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "The trickery of low pricing is quickly realized with your inflated baggage and seating. No frills?? Water and a bag of peanuts wouldn't kill you. And the worst ever is your significantly inefficient ticketing process! A domestic flight shouldn't require a 2 hour airport arrival and even with that, leave 47 passengers at the gate... All that waited patiently thru limited attended ticketing and baggage drop lines followed by security all in an effort to maintain on time departure stats. Other airlines would at least provide a food voucher. I arrived at the airport in Ft. Lauderdale at 5:30 AM and didn't return to BWI until 12:30AM the next day. That's unconscionable and in this day and age -- flat out horrible business!"
Pros: "It was on time. The staff was excellent Captain...excellent flight and landing even with turbulence"
Cons: "Seats do not recline. Tray table too small too use as work surface. If you bring anything but a book bag the cost is so steep that the it may be just as cost beneficial to fly other airlines. the beverage service for a cup of coffee is $2. The baggage claim was an hour wait and I spoke to someone who traveled to Vegas on spirit. They waited over 1 hour in Vegas and an hour when they returned home. So this must be the normal wait time. THE WEBSITE IS HORRIBLE and 800 client care w was not helpful."
Pros: "The flight crew was excellent and professional."
Cons: "After a 1 hr. We were ready to depart and we were informed that the flight would be delayed again because a spirit employee who the company decided needed to be in baltimore and on this flight was not at the airport and we would have to wait until they arrived. We paid to get to our destinations and it was very self serving of the airline to inconvenience the passengersame for their own needs."
Pros: "When my original flight on a normal carrier was grounded, I spent the night in ORD. Thanks to Spirit I was able to quickly get home the next morning for a small fraction of what the major carriers wanted. Seats were comfortable and trip was hassle free."
