The flight staff were polite, seats were comfortable, and we reached our destinations on time. This was my first time traveling first class since the pandemic. The difference in service was dramatic and made me seriously regret having paid three times more for a first class ticket. Specifically No Sky Cap lounge - One of the main reasons I traveled first class was to use the Sky Cap lounge since we were going to have to wait for our flight for several hours at PDX. PDX Sky Cap would not allow us to enter as first class passengers. The receptionist said we needed to have their American Express Card. Further the Las Vegas Sky Cap lounge is permanently closed. Food - Our first flight was early in the morning, so I thought no need to grab breakfast in the airport, I'm traveling first class. The only food we were served or offered between LAS and PDX was Biscoff cookies. Our return trip was the same. Seems the days of being served a hot meal in first class are long gone.

The interrogation was completely stressful and resulted in a reschedule of the original flight and during the second attempt at flying even an email from the U.S. consulate with a link to the Shanghai/Chinese government immigration site was deemed "not official enough". i will be expecting proper compensation. I was once given an $850 travel voucher for voluntarily giving up my seat, and was flown first class to Hawaii, given 4 star accomodation and then flown first class on to China within 48 hours. This was an involuntary bump from our chosen flight time, all because of a lack of knowledge about current visa regulations and international law on the part of the check in staff. We have been loyal Delta users for over 15 years, and this was the biggest blunder ever. Also humiliating and extremely frustrating, stressful and a big problem with fulfilling our travel plans between son and father."

Let me change that to I used to prefer Delta, because the times, they are achanging. My home airport is Atlanta, I'm usually traveling to Seattle or Portland; Delta is king in those routes. There's more flight time options, and the entertainment available is better."
Cons: "Here's where the picky comes in. I downloaded the 'Go Go" wifi app beforehand. When I tried to connect I received a message that it wasn't available on my routes. Why couldn't they tell me that it might not work on my routes before they took my money? Further, why wasn't it available? It's not like I was going on a multi city/country trip, this was Atlanta to Portland non-stop. Then there's the 'Premier Seating". I opted for it on my outbound flight and received TSA Pre Check. I didn't buy the seating coming back; I did not receive TSA Pre Check. Coincidence? My fare was more than Alaska Airlines was offering it for, I paid for the wifi that didn't work, and in order to avoid the back of the plane, you must pay. So, I guess I'll be going to Alaska Airlines. They don't have as many flights, but I don't feel dinged for more money every time I turn around."

I had no clean clothes and had to throw out my contacts because I had no solution. I also couldn’t use the meal voucher they gave me because everywhere in the airport was closed by that time. No stipend was given for toiletries or food delivery. Very unimpressed."

By the time it was boarding time if a nice woman did not offer to use her credit card and I have her the $50 cash I would have missed my flight. The manager at the gate in Portland even told me I would miss my flight. The two check in staff at the gate said “well we didn’t know you only had cash” and they weren’t even concerned that I was going to miss my flight. It would of been nice of them to tell me this when I sat there for an hour after they told me They we’re doubling the price. I would of had time to go back through security, only pay $25.00 and the other nice passenger would have not had to use her credit card. Very rude and poor service especially after a sad occasion of burying your sister!"

Food was barely edible. Paid extra for roomier seats on one leg, making it more comfortable, but were extremely tight on another leg which had many empty seats scattered throughout the cabin. Cabin attendants seemed more interested in pushing items that generated revenue than providing the ones that came with the ticket (which is never cheap to begin with)."
Cons: "Due to mechanical issues our 8am flight kept getting delayed in 30 minute increments until around 9:45 when the front desk attendants told us the necessary part had to be driven from Seattle and wouldn't be available until noon, and that their was no certainty the part would work, and that we should make other arrangements. So we did, but their earliest we could get us into Chicago was 9:30pm (original arrival was 2pm). We booked the arrangements only to find out that our original flight took off at 10:55 and American didn't even attempt to contact us. The cherry on top was that our flight (which was indirect through SFO) got delayed and we're now going to miss our connection in SFO. So currently looking at 10:30pm arrival in Chicago."

Cons: "No entertainment systems were working at all. Leaving San Francisco to kahului we had so many unruly young adults that were just out if control. They kept switching seats, spilling alcohol all over me and my stuff and the flight crew could not care less. We even had an older Asian flight attendant on flight 1749 that was just overwhelmed for the job. She would hand the person on the isle a handful of pretzels and say 'here, pass these out'. The other flight crew members made it worse by treating her poorly. You could tell they didn't like her and were agitated by her. Instead if being polite and educating, they were exasperated and impatient. Overall was super disappointed. I have flown United so many times back home to Maui and was always so please and excited to brag about how great United was. Not this time. Thanks for reading."

Turns out SAS had switched me to a later flight without any notice. It took hours on the night I was readying yo leave for a three-week trip to find out what had happened. At best, I would have found out the next day at the airport and waited an extra three hours. Not the big fun! At worst, who knows? Would someone have been able to figure it out in time? Huge run-around!"

The blanket given to my seat was in package but was used and very vile smelling. The flight attendant was very rude, had an attitude when I asked for a drink after I wasn't offered one. When landing and I was asleep, flight attendant hit my head to wake me up to adjust my seat to the correct position rather then in a polite way. Also luggage was not with the rest of the planes luggage and on a differnt carousel. I travel often and are use to glitches, but when cleanliness and attitude come into the picture those are things that can be controlled. I wish to no longer travel with United again."

So I had to go spend a night in a hotel which I had to pay for and wait for the next flight in the morning the next day. Next day the flight got delayed yet again this time little over 2 hours. So I would've missed the flight from San Francisco do Honolulu yet again. This time they managed to find a little later flight and put me on that but still had to wait at the airports for over 8 hours. Super mad about how United works... Had problems with my boss as well because I was supposed to work the next day but they rescheduled my flight for that day. Really not a pleasant experience..."

Both of us have had so many issues with our flights being delayed with no real explanation, apology, or compensation for our inconvenience. This most recent time I was supposed to get to my destination by 8 am and didn’t end up getting in until after 6 pm. The time before I was delayed for 12 hours before they finally decided to cancel the flight. You REALLY cannot expect anything. It’s a cheap flight and absolutely nothing more. You also get charged for every tiny little thing- including your carry on. My fiancé and I have never completely written off an entire company before but we will truly never fly Frontier again. I’d rather pay double the price to fly with a different airline than save a couple dollars and fly with Frontier. Good riddance."

This was in the middle of the night (I arrived at 12:15 AM) when the airport was empty. There was no one in line at the TSA security checkpoint (I know: I looked). Forty minutes was more than enough time for me to get through security and walk to my gate. Very disappointed in Frontier."

Cons: "The flight attendants spent most of the flight giggling at the front of the plane, and had to stop and restart several announcements after saying the wrong thing or having to take a break to stop laughing on the intercom. They also gave me a credit card pitch over the intercom, which was really annoying. The plane was pretty dirty, my tray was really gross with white stuff all over it, and the trash in the bathroom was overflowing, so I had to stuff my paper towel in there to get it to fit. I just wanted a cheap airline, but they split up your group unless you pay extra, and you have to pay for EVERYTHING, including any drinks or snacks. Bags were expensive. I ended up paying almost $700 on a flight that was supposed to be about $450. $21 each way per person to sit with eachother, like $50 for a single checked back each way, blah blah blah. Poor experience, and it was MORE expensive than the other flights with bags and seats included. The lines were also extremely long with only a single person at each stand in each airport."

Pros: "The actual flight is fine. The leg is just about 60 mins and the price of the fare is the most attractive portion. For $50 RT, there is not much to expect when you fly a discount carrier. What made the trip a bad experience was the return flight, where two consecutive flights were cancelled with no clear explanation to the reason (definitely not weather related). To reach my destination in time, a separate one-way ticket had to be purchased at an alternative near by airport. Frontier is certainly a low cost carrier, but not very reliable to Reach your destination"

Not to mention the fact that we were delayed on the runway because the crew just didn't show up to the terminal, but baggage was also late to the terminal by over an hour. Everyone was also promised a flight voucher and i never got one. Beyond upset with this flight."

The seats are very uncomfortable and now they have no real tray tables anymore (except in the first 3 rows--which you can pay extra for). Additionally, the checked luggage has taken up to 30 mins to arrive on multiple occasions. Frontier has become a terrible airlines that cares more about their bottom line rather than sustaining the customers who are responsible for their bottom line."

The customer service reps I dealt with were slow and alothough they offered me a $100 voucher, they input my email wrong so they couldn't send it to me. When I tried to rectify this again at the airport with another customer service rep, they tried to send me the voucher by email but I never got it. I was told to call customer service again, but at this point I've spent over $100 in my own time in trying to get the voucher. I wouldn't want to have to fly frontier again anyway."

Cons: "I fly a lot, as in 185,000 miles in the last 12 mos. I booked my flight last minute because I had one meeting and didn't want to stay the night in Portland. I typically fly United and am very happy with them. When I checked times, United's didn't work but Frontier's outbound and return times allowed me to avoid staying the night. So I took the chance as I figured the liklihood of an issue would be less than the last 4x's I had flown the airline in the last 18 mos. I was wrong. We had a mechanical issue and had to swap planes. The problem is that Frontier only has 8 gates at DIA and any change causes a logistical disaster. After 3 hrs I decided to cancel my flight as I wouldn't make my meeting in Portland. Frontier refunded the outbound leg but REFUSED to refund the return leg as they claimed that leg was unaffected. Their reasoning was that I still could have taken the trip but by the time I arrived in Portland I would have literally have had to fly right back to Denver. Ok, that makes sense. So after 1 hr of haggling on the phone I was only able to get their customer service to issue a credit for the cost of the second leg. I will NEVER fly them again, so the credit is useless to me. Fly anyone else or take the bus, you'll actually be treated decently and get to where you're going."

At this time, I tried to find out if they had another flight to San Antonio only to have the woman helping me ask "do you want me to refund the money or not? I'm about to press send." I'm sure that had the flight actually existed, I would be able to give a better review and I don't really want to mark down the crew for something, I imagine, was out of their control, but I can't give them any stars as my interaction with the staff was very limited to just the ticket counter. I will most likely NEVER fly with Frontier again based off of this experience."

As stated above, at least we didn't die, but at such levels of "economy" I was not confident that we would even survive the trip, thinking that the the pilots must be of the same quality. Please use a more honest business model, until then, we will not use you again."

Our seats were 'upgraded' for a red eye flight, behind one screaming baby for 75% of the flight, and another next to us that constantly was kicking us. The male air flight attendant enjoyed to hear himself talk so much, that between him and the amplified screaming baby, sleep was not possible. I asked for water, but since that was the only free thing, they were out of it and the male flight attendant sound get me some of their was time before we landed....that was 25 minutes into a 3 and a half hour flight. In his defense, I did get my water just before the plane started its descent. And the last point, girlfriend's brand new suitcase was covered in him when we picked it from baggage claim. Instead of just refunding us the baggage fee, no, we now have a claim open for Up to $50 to get it cleaned. Spend the extra $100 for ease of mind and fly a real airline."

I got these tickets because it look like an affordable way to visit family, but every step of the journey had surprise fees, from selecting your seat, to checking luggage, and even having a carry-on bag. Literally every other airlines I've ever been on offers at least one complimentary drink and a bag of bad pretzels, but Frontier charges three dollars for a bag of bad pretzels and and two more dollars for a drink. When it turned out that I had to pay for the seat I just went and paid for one of the better ones and even those are massively uncomfortable-- there's slightly more legroom but even the "premium" seats have almost no padding, don't recline, and are uncomfortably narrow. Overall I won't be flying Frontier again."

My 89/91 year old parents first class seats were possibly a few inches wider and still 3 seats across...that's a rip off. No TSA - pre check. Limited staff for check in with long lines. Also, only 2 check-in kiosks with only one working and no assistant to help speed along the process. I witnessed one man who spent approximately ten minutes trying to print his boarding pass. Cheap tickets which result in getting what you pay for."

Knowing this would've caused me to rethink the ticket purchase in comparison to other airlines. I will not choose Frontier again on purpose! It's not worth it."

One personal item is allowed but if it doesn't fit entirely under the seat you will be charge a fee "greater than $40" to change it to a carry on. My personal item did not fit and I was not charged for a carry on. Personally I would be very upset if I had paid for a carry on and seen people like me get around this. No free snacks or drink on the flight either. Frontier needs to be more transparent with their pricing and take a lesson from an airline like Alaska that gives free beer and wine on their flights. Their website is very difficult to use on an iPhone and the only option is to print the boarding pass - not to email it or add it to passbook. I do not have a printer so I had to download the frontier app in order to avoid printing at the airport. It is clear that Frontier Airlines is pushing the bounds of "calculated misery""
