So the good is that JetBlue did reimburse me for the LYFT I had to take to San Francisco."

Also, I did not appreciate when the gate agent told me that I could not be reimbursed for ground transportation because my flight was weather delayed not mechanically delayed. I understand that he/she may not have known what was the issue with my original flight out of Salt Lake. But, telling me that I would have to pay for ground transportation at 1 am to get the last 30+ miles to my destination made me really worried. If he/she didn't know and didn't have the time or resources to figure it out, I would have preferred if she redirected me to someone else or a phone number or email."

I called and emailed to complain but they did nothing but pass me to someone else who was equally unhelpful. I will never fly AeroMexico for any reason in the future."

Then 45 minutes into the flight they said the landing gear light came on and they would be going back to change plans. As people seem to be so self-centered anymore, the attendants should have announced that people were not to leave until all passengers with connecting flights had left the plane. Very sad that people can't use common courtesy all by themselves, but as they can't, it should have been enforced by the team on the plane."

Cons: "The boarding process is very confusing. There are so many different boarding priorities and programs, it is difficult to know where you are in the boarding process. Even if you have a ticket labeled as Group 1, you may still be one of the last boarded because of all the different programs that have priority over you. Would be better to limit the advance boarding to people who need extra help and a single program. This leads to the question, why are there so many different programs? Wouldn't it be easier to have a single loyalty program? If you don't qualify for advance boarding because you did not purchase a first class seat, or you haven't reached the advance boarding requirements, you don't qualify. Let's start thinking about the customer again, and less on the profit margin. How would one of your executives feel if they had a boarding Group 2 and 85% of the plane was already boarded by the time your group was called, thereby limiting the space for your correct size carry-on? One more thing that would be beneficial, enforce the size limit for carry-on luggage. I have been to airports that limit the size with a box on the x-ray machine so you can not even get an oversized piece of luggage through security. Just one idea for the industry."

We gave up trying to fix it for fear they would make it worse. Then the woman at the gate tried to get folks to volunteer to give up their seats on an overbooked flight. But she was screaming at us. Unbelievably unpleasant to be yelled at over and over again and told we could lose our seats. The poor weather likely caused flights to be rerouted into PHL so our flight out to SFO ended up 1/3 empty. FABULOUS. But the gate experience was horrible and the legroom, had it been a full flight, was miserable. I'm in search of an airline with a humane approach."

The guy at boarding (unlike the boarding in SFO) called way too many groupss individually, First Class, Diamond, Premium, Gold, Priority. This led to many people being refused boarding and told to wait. In SF they simply call first class and then all the rest or the Aadvantage members together before the land boarding. Much faster and more efficeint. Even though the flight was full there less than 12 people in the Diamond, Premium, whatever classes. And the guy taking the boarding passes was a jerk. He actuallly seemed to take pleasure in telling people they couldn't board. Might not ever fly AA again. At least never from Philadelfphia."

Flight went through a series of delays until we were finally informed that our flight would not make the flight departing Philly to SF. Rather than fly to Philly during the DNC, we decided to SPEND ANOTHER NIGHT IN PROVIDENCE and take the flight out the next day. This part of the trip caused me to lose a day of work and spend more money on a hotel and meals. This was very poor planning on your part since there were flights flying in and out of both places, but your company was short one aircraft that would have gotten my son and I home on time!!! This was my last flight on American Airlines and I will be sure to spread the word to my friends and family that you have become too unreliable!!"

Pros: "I LOVED the staff on this flight. Especially the man, I didn't catch his name but he was the friendliest flight attendant I have ever met. He had a warm smile the whole flight and helped me get an ice pack for my back when I was in pain. Every time he got something for someone he was smiling and happy which made me and my husband smile and happy. He should be recognized because he made our experience very enjoyable. I have never been on a flight where the service was constant, all of the flight attendants walked up and down the aisles throughout the flight making sure everyone was doing good. Typically, they go down the aisle with the service carts once and thats it, but they made sure everyone was taken care of for the whole flight. Thank you for the great flying experience after a long and tiring trip!! We were dreading the flight but the staff was great."
Cons: "Waiting in the Charlotte Airport for the flight to board was a bit irritating because the two girls that were supposed to call the sections for the flight were on their phones and not very present with what was going on. We boarded late and i am not sure if this is because the flight itself was late or they were just slow with the process.. The only thing I would complain about the flight itself is that we had to wait on our plane for about an hour after we landed. This, I know- has nothing to do with AA and the service/staff. I think this is something that SFO is responsible for, and I felt bad that people were taking it out on the crew."

The flight attendant called to me and said to wait. One of the attendants came up with a wheelchair and said he would take me. Unfortunately, a steep ramp had to be used to get into the airport building. He asked another worker to help him and all the way up the ramp I had to listen to comments about "good thing they had eaten their Wheaties" and "they were getting a good workout." I know that I am not a small person, but these ongoing comments were rude and insulting. When we got into the gate the attendant told me that he didn't have my name on his list and had to call for permission to take me through the airport. I waited and he came back and said he couldn't take me, but if I could wait someone else could come for me. I had waited enough already and suffered their rude comments, so I said no thanks and walked slowly through the airport. This experience has left me with a bad feeling for the airline and its personnel. I believe their staff could use sensitivity training at the very least!"

Jet bridge in SF was heated but in Denver where it was colder and he had to wait it was not. The check in lady clearly did not care about her job at all I'm Denver. Frontier is a budget airline which for this trip worked for me as I was able to pack everything in a "personal item" and don't mind sitting in the back of the plane, I got lucky and got asigned a window seat. No drinks offeed without a charge which I don't agree with but again you get what you pay for. And it's way better than Spirit."

But after going to a farther away airport and paying for bags and seats and drinks and sitting in an uncomfortable seat, I am not so sure it was a great deal. I am happy that I did pay less than other airlines even with the cost of checking a bag (less cost than carrying one one) and for the seat. Because it is more costly to carry on a bag, hardly anyone did leaving lots of room in the overhead compartments and speeding up boarding and deplaning considerably. Snacks and drinks were reasonably priced and lower cost than in the airport. Only snacks like chips and beef jerky are available so if you want food, bring your own. Flight attendants were friendly. My bag arrived on the same flight that I did and it was in good condition. We were reasonably close to on time."

There was barely enough room between seats to force by backpack down to the floor and almost no room on the floor to hold it leaving me with no where to put my feet except on top of it. My legs are long and about 1/2 of my leg was not supported by the seat. This was manageable for a short flight but I would certainly not book a long flight with these seats. We spent considerable time on the tarmac waiting at both ends. I am not clear on the delay at the beginning of each flight. The delay at the end was related to Frontier only having 1 gate at each airport so we had to wait until it was free. Yes, we landed 20 minutes ahead of time, but we got into the gate 20 minutes late - meaning sitting on the tarmac for 40 minutes. Bags were slow to come up. Probably because everyone checked them so there were many."

Had to pay $225 for another same day flight to SFO using American Airlines. Learning points: - hard deadline, need to be at gate 10 mins before departure time - lofty and esoteric reimbursement process - Frontier does not participate in TSA Pre-Check, so arrive 2 hours ahead of departure time for domestic flights - Frontier does not participate in other airline organizations, so unless you rebook with Frontier you are paying full price for the new ticket"

But then it was delayed for over an hour *after* boarding. Again, there was no apology, no explanation -- the crew literally said nothing to anyone until finally a clamor rose among the passengers to find out for us what the hell was going on. You know what they said? The airline was so understaffed that day that they didn't have enough people to get the baggage up the ramp and onto the plane! THAT'S why we sat there for over an hour! As well, I have never been more crowded on a plane in my life. I am a thin woman of average height, yet I couldn't put a book in the seat pocket in front of me because my knees were already touching it. Bags cost money, Drinks, including coffee and soda, cost money. And no one on the crew ever smiled. I will never fly Frontier again."

Cons: "I did not like that the airline does not mention anything about paying for carry on, paying for all drinks and food or paying to choose a seat, which were extremely uncomfortable by the way. All of these costs combine could have equaled or exceeded other ticket prices. It felt misleading and not worth the effort. I also thought that the sales pitch on the flight was disruptive and annoying. If you are going to represent yourself as a budget airline, stop trying to nickle and dime me everywhere you can."
Cons: "Everything. Frontier is awful and I will never fly with them again. They cancelled the flight for "weather" more than 12 hours in advance. By the time the flight was supposed to leave, flights were taking off from O'Hare without any problem. Next, they could not have been less cooperative in helping my find an alternative route to San Fran. After more than 2 hours of arguing with Frontier personnel, they magically found a way for me to get there via Denver. Finally, once I boarded the flight to Denver, the crew could not have been any less competent. I saw at least two instances where they had given away the seat of someone who had checked into the flight, then had to scramble to find them a new seat. Frontier is the worst."

Cons: "First, I was not made aware that checking a bag, selecting a seat, and carrying on a bag would each be extra charges on top of the ticket price. If I had known that, I would have used a different airline, because the prices were relatively similar after all of the added costs. Secondly, the actual plane ride was incredibly uncomfortable. The seats on these airplanes do not recline (which is frustrating for a 3.5 - 4 hour flight), drinks or snacks are not free, and most of the other passengers were rude and difficult. I would not recommend this airline for any flights longer than 1.5 hours."
Cons: "I had a prior international flight that landed at 5AM that morning. I hustled through customs to try to make this flight. I asked multiple TSA agents how worried I should be about making my Frontier flight and I was assured that I would have time to make it. After running through the A Terminal, I got to my gate and the doors were already closed and no agent was there. I feel let down by the TSA agents."
Pros: "The boarding process was easy enough."
Cons: "The crew was absolutely clueless. Half way through the flight no less than 6 sleeping passengers were woken and shuffled about because they discovered two other passengers had seated themselves in the priority area. I understand the desire to ensure passengers are seated properly. However, it was ludicrous to wake 6 people who were not at fault for this error on their part. They should have been more vigilant at the start, or left the rest of us alone after the fact. Terrible understanding of customer service. Also, our flight arrived early, however, they didn't have the appropriate gate available. Poor planning as we knew we'd be early about half way through the flight. Would not fly again, not because of the disorganized gate business, however, there's a real lack of customer focus on this airline."

Cons: "Frontier has trained their staff and written their website to "threaten" passengers into buying extra's like bags, assigned seats ."if your bag doesn't fit we will charge you 120 at the gate", I cant' guarantee a refund" "you may not get a seat if you don't buy one online (they warn you three times on the website before you can complete online check in...we were "randomly assigned" 6 seats together for free by skipping the buy seats step and completing online check in). On frontier you can only take one personal item for free. carry on is $70 (35 one way) and checked bags are $60 (30 one way)...MORE at the airport. I also fault Kayak here, they don't compare apples to apples - united carry on bags are free.. I bought 5 checked bags (6 people flying), but we decided to just do a personal item in the end. Turns out you can only get bag refunds at the airport ticket office ..not online or by phone. The ticket agent said there was no guarantee we would get a refund, but she would put a note in our record. Hmmm....prepaid $300 for a service we didn't use and may not get refunded. Online check in tries to bully you into buying seats...you have to say no 3 times before they let you complete check in. That would have been another $120 for the 6 of us. The best for last. On the return flight home, we went to ticketing agent to get refund for return bags ( the outbound ticket agent would only put a note in our record for the outbound flight, so we had to stand in line again for the return flight). She told us there was a gate change and sent us to the international terminal (a different terminal than the rest of Frontier flights). She marked the new terminal on our tickets. We were at the gate for 45 minutes and realized there were only about 10 other passengers for our flight there. I tried to call frontier on the white airport phone. They just had a recording and told me to dial an 800 number. I was on hold for 20 minutes before i got a person who said he couldn't get me any information. The flight wasn't listed on the departures board in the international terminal we had been sent to, so finally we decided we'd better go to the original gate. We had to go to another termanial, go through security again, and found our flight boarding at the original gate. The woman who sent us to the wrong terminal was at original gate loading passengers, so she knew there had been a mistake. She said they had made two announcements. The trouble is, the announcements were not audible in the international terminal. I told her there were several other passengers at the wrong gate, one of whom was elderly and would need help making the flight, No apology, and when we continued to try to get help for the other passengers, they, told us to move away from the podium or they would call security!!! ARGH!"
Cons: "First of all, they charged me to check into my flight. My $131 ticket turned into $183 and I hadn't even checked in for the way back. Not only did I have to pay for a seat at check in, but I had to pay $40 to brin a carry on!!!! So what the heck did my ticket pay for?!?! Once I choked down the extra $53, I went to the gate and the flight was cancelled. The gate attendant offered a refund or to put me on a flight the next day. He wouldn't look at other airlines for me. The only nice thing they did was make the refund process easy on the phone, since I had to leave the terminal to find another ticket counter to help me. I will not be flying frontier. Ever."
Pros: "$45 to carry on a bag and put in the overhead bin. Ticket was cheap but after paying $45 EACH WAY I spent more than buying a ticket on another airline that lets you carry on a bag for free. They even charge for soda. Ripoff. Will never fly this airline again. Buyer Beware. There is no way to know about the hidden fees before buying your ticket unless you want to spend an hour or more combing through the multiple pages of fine print."

Cons: "They offered cheap tickets to lure my friend in (she paid for my flight to her wedding as I just moved to another state and was strapped for cash) and only when I arrived at the ticket counter, did I find out that I had to shell out an additional 45 dollars FOR A CARRY-ON!! So, I had to pay 90 dollars, which I didn't have, AND pay for snacks and a beverage, because nothing was open at airport at the time of my flight. The flight crew was mediocre at best, as the flight attendants didn't bother to greet anyone except for the only man in a business suit. If you're going to nickel and dime people, I think it better to charge a little more for everyone's ticket, instead of slamming them with hidden costs. Overall, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth that even the 2 bucks a piece in-flight sodas couldn't wash away."
