Pros: Honestly the only thing I can say that I liked was that we got back to Fort Lauderdale in less than two hours.
Cons: Honestly the only thing I can say that I liked was that we got back to Fort Lauderdale in less than two hours. We were told to arrive at the airport for our flight which was delayed incase our flight left on time. our gate changed five different times. Our flight was supposed to leave from Puerto Rico to Ft. Lauderdale @ 1:30 p.m. the flight kept getting delayed . our flight did not take off until 7:30 that evening. Nobody informed us of anything what the delay was etc. it was handled horribly by Jet Blue staff. We were t offered vouchers nothing.
Pros: Everything it was ok. Travel on time.
Cons: No complaint.
Cons: Missed the connecting flight by about 15 minutes, strange that we get delayed for about an hour but the connecting flight can’t wait a few minutes. Currently en route to another airport to spend the night at the airport and then take an early morning flight to my home city. Would have been nice to get a hotel room. I also had trouble with being charged for a second checked bag when I only had a single checked bag, would be great if the customer service help desk could help with that at the airport.
Cons: JetTV only had 3 movies and they ran on their schedule. Was not on demand
Cons: No movies translated to spanish. Too crowded. Did not follow distancing while que exiting.
Cons: The delay was very long and won’t have been that bad except that the San Juan Jet Blue terminal is freezing cold.
Pros: Crew was nice, flight was smooth.
Cons: The plane was not boarded back to front because large parties were not broken up and therefore not social distanced.
Pros: Great comfort and friendly crew
Cons: It was great!
Cons: Gate was changed without communication. Better communication
Pros: The pilot provided us with a trip that felt more entertaining and expedient.
Pros: Comfortable !
Cons: Better snacks
Pros: Moving seats to a less crowded seat.
Cons: There was no empty middle seat and a pretty full flight. Only 2-3 movie options. Old plane with small screen.
Pros: With the Covid-19 precaution in place, I felt really safe on the flight. Masks were required at all times; the crew did a great job with handing out safe snack and waters. JetBlue did a great job.
Pros: The assurance of safe social distances, The boarding was well done. Getting off the plane was pretty good. Leaving on landing as scheduled. Keep it up
Pros: New airplane
Pros: Everyone spaced apart on flight. Snacks handed out in individual presorted packs.
Cons: Surprised they didn’t check everyone’s temperature before boarding.
Cons: A working entertainment system. Old and no operative!
Pros: That I was able to get home.
Cons: Delayed flight, missed my shuttle home and crew lost control of people.
Pros: Very grateful for this airline. Staff with their due precautions. The seating area was clean, the food was light (but it is understood by the situation that we are going through Covid 19). All in order.
Cons: I only found that they must be a little more rigorous with the rules of keeping distance when entering and leaving the plane.
Pros: Some of the crew was decent others seemed annoyed they were doing their job.
Cons: Some of the crew was decent others seemed annoyed they were doing their job. Two of the employees serving the cabin could use an attitude adjustment. The crew was late in getting food out but for a four hour flight there is no value in flying anymore. Airlines are just trying to rake in as much money as possible. When are they going to be responsible for everyone getting sick like cruise ships are? They should hand out masks and sanitizer because airlines are one of the dirtiest public spaces that there is! Show up late and barely clean the plane between its third or fourth leg of the day.
Cons: Yes because we have to Wait. 4 hour
Pros: Flight crew as great.
Cons: Boarding was a circus, and the cabin crew could have cared less... All they were interested inward handing out credit card a;p,cation. By far, the worst cabin crew I have seen i the last 5 years.
Cons: No three hour delay on the flight world have been better
Pros: Fast boarding, kind crew, smooth takeoff and landing.
Cons: Loved the leg room but the seat cushions are not that comfortable.
Cons: Need more vegan food options
Pros: On time, comfortable seats, variety of snacks
Pros: I liked that they allowed my dog to get on board with me in the end. I like that they had delicious options for snacks and good entertainment during the flight.
Cons: I didn’t appreciate them questioning me about the comfort dog when all the papers were right in front of the attendant. Also, I had called in several times to make sure I had everything I needed to the last min change in having to bring my dog with me. I was told over the phone that I could have up until I boarded but then got to the airport and was commented about it a few times by JetBlue associates. It is confusing and fairly stressful especially when I called in ahead of time to confirm I was ok.
Pros: Nice ground personnel in San Juan as well as flight attendants.
Pros: Direct flight
Pros: Smooth flight, take off and landing. Plenty of leg room.
Cons: The seats on my row didn't properly recline or at all. The crew was not great but not bad, maybe average service
Pros: I like that you offer entertainment I love your snacks especially the healthier terra chips
Pros: Only my 2nd time on Jet Blue and this time it was that only two seats per row flights. The boarding process was smooth. I checked in online and had my pass on my phone. The seats were comfy enough & wifi was free along with tv. The flight itself was smooth and the flight crew address any possible issues beforehand. The crew was on-point with the routine but they had really great customer service. I usually don't think of JetBlue when looking to book but they are really winning my business. Great job overall.
Cons: As with all others I've been on, airplane seats need more form.
Pros: That we landed safely
Cons: Autistic child behind me without mom supervising her or sitting next to her . The child was about 11 but for some reason her mother was sitting on the isle next to her and wasn’t concerned about having that changed or helping her daughter have a better experience on the plane. The lil girl was screaming , she had a car that she rolled on my seat and the seat next to me for hrs. It’s not her fault, her mom didn’t do anything to help.. nothing .. Then the Crew was arguing and wasn’t happy at all .. Craig talks so fast on the intercome I couldn’t understand him .. Craig wasn’t happy with him having to do credit cards and wanted to do trash . Him and the crew from the back were arguing and I was in disbelief that not one crew member tried to help, talk to the mom or do anything about it .But they were involved in their own mess so they were not worried about the young lady screaming . I left that flight with a headache and no rest what so ever..i really wish the mom or someone would have said something.. absolutely awful flight .. awful I left there saying to the crew get me off of this plane pls ..
Cons: 4hr delay
Cons: The plane was miserably cold, with tempuratures dipping well into the 50s on the aircraft. I was shivering and sneezing the entire time, guests in the row in front of my had their leather jackets over their faces. Air was pummeling me in the window seat. It was the most miserable 2 hours on a plane I have ever experienced, and I have been on thousands. I would highly reconsider the tempuratures on the plane seeing as that this could severely sicken children and elderly. I have never experienced this before.
Pros: The app on my phone allowed me to do nearly everything but place my luggage in the back
Pros: Left on time, arrived early. No disruptions. Nothing else to say' all good.
Pros: The Crew and aircraft were great. Everything was on time.
Cons: Someone playing a movie on their laptop with the speakers up so the whole row could watch. 2 1/2 hours of machine gun fire from some movie I couldn't see.
Pros: The flight was smooth and uneventful. The landing was expertly executed. No safety issues. The cabin was comfortable and quiet.
Cons: Fat snacks The $25 charge for checking one piece of luggage. The rudeness at the airport when I asked for directions. I don't fly everyday, so why would you expect me to know where everything is and exactly how your process works? The emotional exchange at the airport when I checked my bag. I was the only person in line and there were two JB employees behind the counter who were more interested in their social conversation than in assisting me. I made a simple request for assistance and was immediately blown off. I can't complain enough about this.
Pros: Yes, excelente
Pros: The departure and arrival times were met. The crew was professional and corteous.
Cons: There is no WiFi, directTV on the flight. There is “no satellite coverage “ during the flight. Even though it’s sate and it comes from space, there’s no coverage. Come on, there has to be a copyright issue or something.
Pros: The snacks, the voluntary offering of to put the the carry on the back of the aircraft, the crew and the fact that the co-pilot is a woman.
Cons: The turbulence and the harsh decent of the plane scared me and I have a panic to flying.
Pros: I value the flight was ontime. This is the most important thing for me.
Pros: I bought a ticket for my 85-year old Mom to fly from Puerto Rico to Washington, DC, where I'm stationed, and from Curbside to Curbside, she told me your people and your service were all SUPERB! Thank you for making my Mom feel comfortable and safe during such a traumatic time. You have a customer for life!
Pros: I had a safe flight and enjoyed the movies available to me.
Cons: Better care of luggage and better customer service
Cons: This plane was too full for social distancing. I was really skeptical about this flight as it relates to the COVID pandemic.
Pros: Everything was great. Seats, service, flight, crew.
Pros: The crew was good, and the airline tried to make our wait in the airport as comfortable as possible.
Cons: The four-hour delay was really hard. Since it was in DC, I don't know why it took so long to get another plane.
Cons: Not a thing!
Pros: Cabin crew was great. Was told they don’t feel they can do a good job of serving 48 passengers in Premium Select with 2 crew.
Cons: Image recognition step slowed boarding down a lot. Food and amenities on Delta Premium Select seem to be getting worse
Pros: Fast service and precise timing
Cons: The flight was delayed over two hours
Pros: Comfort is excellent
Cons: When traveling with the pet, personally always travel to Puerto Rico, we take our cat, I would like Delta to have the option of making the reservation online until paying for it, although you should always call to confirm, that would be super excellent.
Pros: Information communicated about delays.
Cons: - more communication (any!) about bag status when landed - flight delay due to too many/too heavy baggage. Long delay was said to be due to making sure our baggage would accompany destination. Upon arrival, bag was left in NYC but this wasn't communicated. No info on bag status at airport or via ema
Cons: First class seats were too close together. It was very difficult to get out of you seat into the aisle. Food was not what it should have been for 1st class There was no wall between 1st class and coach giving little privacy when I worked my laptop. it was in direct view of the middle seat in coach
Pros: Clean plane. On time
Cons: They have to improve the boarding process a bit.
Pros: Smooth ride
Pros: Very good
Cons: Seat assignments should have be provided at check in.
Pros: Flights were both timely
Cons: WiFi on flight from Atl to Tallahassee wasn’t working at first
Pros: Amazing service from crew
Pros: The entertainment
Cons: Space between
Pros: I missed my flight and you guys helped me catch the next one :D I was able to still make it yo my final destination within the same day
Pros: On flight entertainment was very good. Flight was smooth and ran ahead of schedule.
Cons: They were out of vegetarian meal options. Really poor for a six hour flight. Also, the family behind us was atrocious, but that’s not Delta’s fault.
Pros: The crew was dealing with NOVA/DC residents
Cons: Was refused to use the 1st clas restrooms but 10 minutes layer the flight attendant allowed an older gentleman and a lady to use them. I was in 10A with my service dog
Pros: Coming from Europe Alitalia and Delta did an EXCELLENT job at assisting the passengers get rid of their luggage just as soon as we were done going through customs... I don't usually fly on this route, but I thought it was perfect. Transfer between Delta terminal was a breeze too...
Cons: I usually don't fly from JFK. The food court was expensive (18 dollars base price from a burger seems a high even for an airport. I don't fly from NY normally - so maybe I need to tune my expectation for the locale, and it may have NOTHING to do with the airline company.
Cons: Bigger personal space
Pros: Excelent flight excelent service..
Cons: The entrance in the gate to the plane always disorganized
Pros: My flight from STX was delayed some 30 minutes. That made a dent in the 57 minutes I had to catch my Delta flight. Naturally we landed at gate A2 and Delta was boarding at Terminal 2 gate B9. Me with my knee replacement can’t run and my wheelchair was not in sight. Thank goodness I had a carryon with wheels. I was out of breath when I got to Delta and the last passengers were boarding. I started panicking and interrupted the ground steward who asked me to wait with a smile. I waited . So when I told them I was standby they waved me on after showing my passport. I couldn’t find my boarding pass. I was pleasantly surprised to get a seat in first class. I was so thankful. My first time. Good things come to those who wait! Thank you Delta.
Pros: The service is very good from the beginning. The flight attendant is very caring thanks so much.
Cons: The aircraft is too old, MD-88. I don't know how Delta is flying that type of aircraft. Is very risky
Pros: Another safe flight. Crew was very attentive.
Cons: Flight cancelled due to weather that was never bad but on the potential of bad weather. Had to scramble so my 18 year old son was not stranded overnight in a strange place and Delta does not help. Only rebooked a flight itinerary for the next day for a 4 hour flight with connections on a 1 hour direct flight. Spent an hour on line to figure out what to do. #neverdelta
Cons: Plane delayed 4 times for a total of 4 hours
Pros: The flight for getting us therw
Cons: No food and no entertainment
Pros: Service was great, crew was responsive, snacks were good per usual.
Cons: The AC was blasting at an all time high, felt frozen to my seat, even asked for a blanket but “ they didn’t have any more “, had to tuck in my arms into my layered shirt. this was a morning flight and no breakfast was served ... they didn’t even have food available for purchase.
Cons: Flight delay 5+ hours poor Service
Cons: The bulkhead sears had no electrical outlet
Pros: I could be wrong, but the seats were very comfortable (for a plane) and I felt my knees weren't as close to the seat in front of me than other airlines. So that's a plus.
Pros: Everything. I really loved that I could track where my checked luggage was, so when I arrived to my final destination I knew my bag was going to be there. The individual TV for my seat, so I could watch what I wanted. Having an USB port to charge my devices.
Cons: Liked everything.
Pros: No hubo retraso y salió todo el vuelo a tiempo. El personal fue atento.
Cons: El espacio entre asientos es mínimo y es súper incómodo. La experiencia fue de incomodidad.
Pros: Comfortable flight, ample leg room, and the chairs were pretty plush. Comfort+ is pretty nice
Cons: On my first flight they forgot to turn the wifi on. I have unlim data but obviously can't use while in air; no big though.
Pros: In flight entertainment interface and options were great!
Cons: Very uncomfortable!! Spent the entire flight with my knees pressed against the seat pocket. One flight attendant was somewhat rude and unpleasant.
Cons: I don't know why delta's service has deteriorated so much in the last few years. Last two times that I flew the service and attitude at the gate has been horrible. Seat assignment has become a dread. Upgrade options are over priced. I guess I will be looking for a new airline.
Pros: Good seats.
Pros: Free drinks in Comfort+
Cons: Headphones suck
Cons: See above description
Pros: Comfort with entertainment.
Cons: No food options at all.
Pros: The plane was surprisingly comfortable. The seats had USB ports. The touch screens were clear and responsive. Most importantly, the service of the flight attendants was excellent. I was quite happy.
Cons: I want real Foodservice for the prices that we pay. Don't give me the covid-19 excuse
Pros: Organized boarding
Cons: Headrest lcd didnt worked for entertainment Couldnt stretch my legs cause they told me to put the back pack on the floor instead of overhead compartment
Pros: Very nice crew.
Pros: Everything was great. But the American Airlines can improve on not letting non-first class passengers use the restroom up front.
Cons: The food! Bring back real food please
Cons: Free WiFi
Cons: Free WiFi
Pros: Flight was not over crowded, allowing for proper social distancing! That is MUCH appreciated. Crew was wonderful.
Cons: The couple in front of me got in a physical altercation as well as the couple seated behind me. Both situations caused much discomfort and could have been defused faster by flight crew
Pros: Fast transportation
Cons: It could be better if the pandemic was over, I think everything could be better.
Pros: Everything was clean and new feeling
Cons: Food on offer was uninspiring.
Cons: Paid for First Class so I could sleep on this red-eye. Wasted my money. Seat was uncomfortable, legroom in my bulkhead seat was horrible. I can sleep anywhere...make that ALMOST anywhere, now.
Pros: Flight on time!!
Cons: Cramped space, no leg room. Seat 17A won’t recline
Pros: The crew was friendly, the seats were comfortable, no complaints about the flight.
Cons: We got to the gate and I had to use the bathroom, we waited for the jet bridge to be place but there was a malfunction. I had to get up despite the plane not parked at the gate.
Pros: the crew was amazing and the seats were awesome
Cons: on this trip nothing
Cons: Normal los azafato tienen que estar más pendiente ala tripulación que anda con nenes chiquitos los papas se se duermen y los salvajitos se creen que están en un campamento de verano.y quieren romper el avión más pendiente a eso
Pros: Super comfortable
Pros: It left on time and arrived on time
Cons: Service, comfort and food as I would rate these below 0 if there was that option.
Cons: Delayed was terrible. I arrived 7 hours later than expected.
Pros: It’s not like it used to be. U S based airlines lag behind their European and Asian counterparts
Cons: There’s always room for improvement. Too much to list here
Pros: Safe flight
Cons: On time departure and arrival.
Cons: It was OK, no big issues or concerns.
Cons: The flight delayed several times, and the gate was changed. The plane is very old and no service at all (not even water during the 2 hours flight)!
Cons: Flight delayed because the crew arrived late the night before. This created a chain of events that got me to Newark 7 hrs later than scheduled.
Cons: in the airport, the gate area dirty!, bathrooms dirty, no place to charge phone. The walk to the airplane, getting aboard the plane after the gate and flight changed and delayed. Being told it was weather related on the plane and being told it was MAINTENANCE by customer service. The plane was very crowded, the flight attendants never smiled. WHen i told the attendant i was being "rained" on he said...i know its happening everywhere..... he said there was nothing he could do but get me paper towels...they never came. I was very annoyed getting off the plane walking back and forth....it was aweful. and my flight before this was no better i am VERY TURNED OFF BY AMERICAN AIRLINES RIGHT NOW.
Pros: The crew were polite, accommodating and understanding
Cons: The gate was changed 1hr prior to boarding despite the arriving plane having landed 3hrs prior. So with stroller and infant in toe, I had to run to change terminals/buildings. There was no assistance or prior warning regarding this from the check in staff and I made it all the way to the original terminal and gate before having to turn around. The desk staff at the gate was asked about early boarding for infants and said it would be okay but didn’t give clear instructions on boarding so I sat down and they began boarding each group 20 minutes later and did not give priority to mother’s with infants. The stroller which I brought to the gate was then tagged incorrectly with a white tag instead of a pink tag. I was later told by he crew that it meant it would go directly to baggage claim instead of being brought to the door. According to the crew, all staff know to tag with a pink tag. At every step there was blatant display of inconsideration that made an already difficulty journey, that much more challenging.
Pros: Our seats were booked by a cruise line and were not together on this flight. When my husband asked, the gate agent was able to seat us in at least the same row.
Pros: Left and arrived more or less on time. No major issues.
Cons: Gates are way too far apart in Miami and the golf carts to get between areas seem to require reservations and long waits. Ridiculous. Most MIA staff was very rude (this wasn't American's own staff, or TSA, I should note). American stripped my group of our seat assignments (which we had selected 6 months prior) without reason and with minimal apology. No solution offered. Got middle seats but luckily was able to switch on one of the computer kiosks. Flight crew didn't seem to care that other people moved to the for-pay seats further up front (the flight wasn't full)... so why did we lose our seat assignments and get grief with not being able to select anything good? Not impressed.
Pros: New onboard entertainment
Cons: Rude crew
Pros: The un seat entertainment
Pros: Arrived 30 minutes early
Cons: We had to wait 40 minutes in the runway before parking at the gate.
Pros: I like it was fast and smooth
Cons: Not too much space in the plane
Pros: That I arrived at my destination
Pros: He crew. They were helpful and friendly
Cons: The delay and the plane was old
Pros: I have traveled first class with other US airline, and in comparison, American First Class in this trip was just ok. Is like they work right on the below line on Customer Service for First Class passengers.
Cons: No entertainment, food selection very limited.
Pros: On time departure
Cons: Please use the A330 for the return trip...
Cons: Had 2 plane tickets to Puerto Rico for my mom funeral But all the sudden my dad passed away one week before the date Iso a have to change the date They did charge me $200 and the other ticket was for my friend was my support he couldn't go cause he's job So I call and they said yes that they gonna help me with the refund all I need is a dead certificate so I send it the papers by email Now they telling me that they can't gave me the refund All my brothers and sisters didn't have no problem with South west air line and other airlines they understood the problem And they did everything without problems Worst service ever Not flying with them ever again
Pros: Being able to see movies for free was a real plus since the flight from Australia to Wash.DC is so long.
Cons: Everything OK.
Cons: I traveled with this carry on for numerous flights and for the last three legs of this trip w/of having to check it. For some reason they made me check it. because I had to spend time at the baggage claim carousels I almost missed the last train of the night back home. Fortunately all is fine, but it caused unnecessary stress.
Pros: Is AA ever slightly embarrassed by the fact that their planes look like they're from the 80?
Cons: Shared TV?!!
Pros: Clean, friendly staff, great baggage tracking. Smooth flight.
Cons: Overcrowded, but that's the same no matter where. Usual rude frequent fliers, who also usually take up all the overhead space.
Pros: Getting off of that plane.
Cons: I understand delays happen and are sometimes out of your control. However, customer service is something that you can, should, and must control. I witnessed a lack of self control of the American employees (including a Supervisor) and every point of my trip w/your customers. I was embarrassed for the American executive team.
Pros: once I made it on it was smooth
Cons: plane in cos had to refuel so we were 20 late leaving and I bearly made it to next flight in dallas they were closing doors, young people ran but im old so could not move as fast, it was a challenge to not miss flight
Cons: They got us off the plane to get on a another plane there for we were delayed
Pros: More confortable seats.
Pros: The flight was only 3 hours?
Cons: Communication about the delays. More attendants working at night & more food/drink options open later.
Pros: Better costumer service !
Pros: Crew was amazing!
Cons: Social Distancing
Pros: Fast easy boarding and direct non stop flight
Cons: Explain works and perks better.
Pros: Inexpensive, direct flight. Very friendly flight crew.
Cons: Works, Perks explanation. Misleading buy one covers all whennavtually buy one means everyone has to buy it
Pros: Nothing. Not clean at all.
Cons: Clean the plane. Space people out. Passengers were bunched together while other spaces were wide open. Not cool
Pros: nothing, I was trying and calling Fortine Airlines to change the flight because the situation of coronavirus and I didn't get answer ...Calling more that 500 times ... This is a scam
Cons: nothing, I was trying and calling Fortine Airlines to change the flight because the situation of coronavirus and I didn't get answer ...Calling more that 500 times ... This is a scam
Pros: Crew was friendly and amazing
Cons: Seats recline. At least free water/coffee for refreshment.
Cons: Los precios son muy populares por lo que la incomodidad de los asientos se te olvida. En general todo es bueno. Aparentaba estar limpio y el servicio fue excelente.
Pros: Nothing, 2 hrs delay waiting for a crew member and plane was ~25% full, no snacks or beverages
Pros: The softest landing on our whole trip!
Cons: Apparently, if you pay extra for carry on luggage and you have seats in rows two and three, you can’t use the overhead compartment, which then somewhat defeats the extra legroom you paid for when your carry on has to go under the seat ahead of you. And the flight attendant was rather rude in her insistence about where my luggage “couldn’t” go.
Pros: Maria at the San Juan counter was very nice and helpful. I recently widowed and was very nervous about flying with Frontier. She put me at ease.
Cons: I have nothing to add here
Pros: Seats are not that small . It’s comfortable
Pros: The guy at the front desk was awesome. Friendly and very helpful.
Cons: We were delayed for 2 hours with little to no notification or accommodation
Pros: Crew it was really nice
Pros: Great customer service. Bag drop is super easy and fast.
Cons: No WiFi.
Pros: 2 hours waiting in the airport inside the plane
Cons: Notify what happen...
Cons: Crew pretty lazy.. sat most of flight talking
Pros: Nothing in particular
Cons: Frontier has issues with maintaining schedules. Also, the aircraft are too basic.
Cons: No dieron gratis nada de café ni agua .y las azafatas estaban burlándose de los pasajeros es una falta de respeto
Cons: Tickets were purchased together but yet one ticket was zone 1 and the other two were zone 3
Pros: The crew was polite and knowledgeable
Cons: The seats were very uncomfortable overnight flight could not sleep
Pros: Crew was fine, there need to be a great improvement on the seats
Pros: The crew was very very polite and helpful,, flight was punctual, boarding on time, everything was great.
Cons: No TV no music not entertaining
Cons: I believe the pilot flew to high. Me and my friends ears popped severely and caused pain.
Pros: Quick and easy
Cons: I’m a small person.... and i barely had room sitting inside the aircraft
Pros: On time flight. Friendly crew.
Cons: No free beverages, very cramped seating.
Pros: i Liked that I was able to fly home
Cons: The cost of the flight once you add the cost of carry on or checked bag for that I could’ve flew Delta with snacks
Pros: Seats are just not made for trips longer than 2hrs
Cons: Flight from sju to mco was delay 3 times. Lost my mco to pvd flight. And then i was send from mco to raleigh and another delay. Then raleigh to pvd with one more delay and loss bags. All frontier gave me was $50voucher when i lost hundreds in hotel and car and taxi and my time. The depart time for the sju flight was 3am i have to be in the airport 2hrs before so this was a allmost 24hrs flight for me because i reach my destination at 4pm. I expect comunication from you.
Pros: Nothing. The only thing that was good it was that it was a direct flight, however with the delay it make it longer than other flights with stops
Cons: Will not use your airline in the future due unreliable flights. Never experienced this with any other airline
Pros: Everything was fine for a no frills airline. Just be sure to bring your own water. You only get one cup, and if you sleep through water service you are out of luck.
Cons: I don't like the seats, they have no cushion and they don't recline. Plus the tray table is super small. Also you pay for all drinks. Another thing the pressure is horrible in these planes. It seems they try to cut down on cost so the cabin is not pressurized right to reduced your ears from getting the over pressure from the ascend and descent of the plane.
Pros: The crew personnel aboard the plane was friendly and the seats confortable.
Cons: They made me pay $45 for a 16 inches carry on back that I have as my only luggage , because according to the counter employee, my handbag (purse) was too big so it was considered as a second carry on. I requested a waiver, because I’m an Army Veteran, a senior citizen, but it was denied by the counter employee.
Pros: Cheap flight
Cons: No complimentary snacks at all. I paid $3 for a coke, very little seats with no elbow or leg room nor to lean back. I felt like i was in a can.
Pros: Fast luggage checking
Cons: No cash accepted for overweight baggage
Pros: Check in online was easy and gate boarding a breeze, and even got a seat upgrade... THANK YOU!!!
Cons: Having to wait to drop off bags in terminal counter rather than curb drop off for those that have the online check in
Pros: The crew and food offerings were great. Seats were small but that was expected.
Cons: Less people on the place with spacing would be great during COVID
Pros: The crew was wonderful, so was the pilot!
Cons: Charging $35 for a carry on bag was disgusting!
Pros: Value for price was amazing!
Cons: Vastly exceeded my expectations for such a cheap flight
Cons: The timeliness
Pros: Arrived early!
Cons: wish seat could tilt back
Cons: Not to be late
Pros: Exit row
Cons: Baggage price
Pros: Flying from Fort Lauderdale to DC, our boarding gate was switched without adequate notification. While up headed to the bathroom I noticed the flight information changed. When I asked the gate “Spirit” gate attendant, who was there the entire time, she told me the gate changed. I went to the new gate where the incoming flight was already deboarding the plane. 10 minutes later other passengers from my flight began to arrive complaining about sharing electronic notifications because the attendant made no attempt to let passengers know the gates had changed. She did publicize other gate changed a while I was at the original gate, but never announced my flight’s gate change. Claiming bags in DC was also an unorganized event. I understand the no frills concept but I can’t recommend Spirit to anyone I wish to remain friends with, no matter how cheap the tickets are.
Cons: Ticketing, boarding, bag claim.
Pros: flight attendant was nice, but...
Cons: The flight attendant said that i was sick and they escorted me off the plane after i ran to it from check in counter because they were boarding already. I ate literally in the car before i got to the air port, so check in told me to run to make it. the tsa knew i asked people if i can jump ahead in line and they said yes, they all knew i was in a hurry, the boarding door guy knew that i was out of breath and i told him i was out of shape, so dont mind me. I was one of the last people to sit down. So after 15 minutes of me cooling down, and after the flight attendant gave me water, napkins, and an ice pack, then i felt nauseous and i threw up in the bathroom. I felt much better because it was the food that i just ate right before i did all the running. I told them that this is what happened, and as you can see i am sweaty and was in a hurry to make it here. they said for my safety that i need to get off the plane to be examined. I literary purged the full stomach i had after running from one end of the air port to the other. It has been told to most people that you must let your food digest before doing physical activity. I am out of shape and that run over exerted my body. So they had me removed off the plane, after i desperately attempted to make the flight before they stopped boarding, which i did, and I got taken off. Rude.
Pros: The website and App crashed on multiple instances. When I first created an account my flights were not coming up for my name. I had to call on both of my flights to get this issue fixed. How hard would it have been to fix for both flights on the 1st call? I didn’t get a seat assigned for both of my flights and had to call customer service. All on my friends got seats assigned and based on past experiences, this led me to believe the flight was overbooked. Therefore, on the one flight I had to pay 18 dollars just to ensure I had a seat. I had my boarding pass on my app when I through security at BWI. Then mysteriously the boarding pass didn’t show up when I got to my gate. There were no employees at the counter to print my boarding pass. Horrible experience overall
Cons: Customer service, the app
Pros: Low cost travel with no frills attached. Friendly crew. On-time boarding, before scheduled time arrival! Had heard a lot of bad things but my experience was not bad at all.
Cons: Not even basic beverages & snacks provided for 5-6 hour flight.
Pros: Easy and quick boarding
Cons: You get what you pay for and the flight was super cheap. However, the nickle and dime gouging for bags was a turnoff. The main reason I'll never fly again though, was pure discomfort. The seats resemble metal folding chairs with fabric stretched over them and they don't recline - at all. For a cross country trip and a red-eye return these are deal breakers. Two days later and my back still aches. This airline does a good job at what it does, however, that's not very much. If you have more than two pennies to rub together, you'd be smart to sterr clear of it, as I will be doing from now on. Lesson learned and chalking this one up to experience.
Pros: It was a terrible experience start to finish and I will never fly with Spirit again. It started off with inefficient and confusing lines and then it was delayed over 3 hours with no posted updates at the gate of explanations. There were no apologies or offers to amend the situation. The seats do not recline and the space is very cramped and I don't think it is actually legal to not offer free drinking water when passengers are stuck on board for over 6 hours which was the case for this flight. Only because after boarding everyone they realized the door wouldn't close properly and had maintenance work on it for over an hour. on my return trip to Seattle the check in process at BWI was even worse and the flight attendants were late to the gate so boarding was delayed. They also told me there were no available seats to transfer too, but once on board I discovered there were over 80 seats available on the flight. So she completely lied to me for no explainable reason. Over all I was appalled on both trips and quite frankly, the tickets are not that much less than any other airline going from BWI to SEA and back - the benefit of reasonable comfort and human decency far out weighs the possible 30 bucks I saved and then spent on a carry on bag. Spirit should not be allowed to operate, it is a shady and mean organization and I have made sure to broadcast my terrible experience to everyone I know. As a travel site you should really consider you're role in promoting such a dismal travel experience/airline. I am loyal to kayak and generally trust the validity of the site, but i am disappointed that I was encouraged to purchase such a terrible trip through your site and may consider different options in the future.
Cons: No part of this flight was an enjoyable experience.
Pros: The crew during the flight was pleasant.
Cons: They say why're the cheapest airline around, and that's true....in the worst ways. The flight itself isn't expensive, but they charge $30 per bag you carry on and more for checked bags. They don't offer free water on long flights, and they make you pay for any and all beverages. Nothing is included in your flight. Their new planes, while 'green' and fuel efficient are unbearably uncomfortable to fly in. The seats are hard molded plastic with about an inch of padding and aren't adjustable T all. Flying more than four hours was pure hell, seated upright. Also, be sure to pay for your bag at the ticket counter. They charge you twice as much at the gate if you don't remember. And it's printed on your boarding pass, so don't think they're letting you off easy. It's a trap to get you to pay more.
Pros: That the plane actually landed.
Cons: 2 hours late and 5 different gates. The funny part was kayaks notifications of gate changes were faster than Spirits Crew. When I asked if the new information was correct she gave me attitude. Then 10 minutes later reported the new gate that Kayak had already determined. That was just boarding. Paid for the more comfortable/spacious seating which was nice but useless when coupled with seats that do not recline whatsoever. Painful and slightly torturous. Don't fly them you'll save money by choosing someone else. $ to pick seat $ to bring a carry on...those who didn't know that paid somethingnlike $65 at the gate. The worst. Never again.
Pros: The plane seemed new. The seats were pretty comfortable for an airplane, although not enough legroom. The food cart by Cosi in the waiting area is pretty good for a food cart, except there are so many people the staff get overwhelmed.
Cons: The Spirit waiting area at Boston Logan is terrible. It's way too small for the number of people boarding and deplaning. There is constant jostling (even while you're sitting down) as people try to get through the crowd. And there is only one food cart unless you go back through security. The food cart is by Cosi, so the food is reasonably good, but with this many people the lines for a coffee or lukewarm breakfast wrap are long. And you have to keep moving to let people pass by. Oh, and I had a 2.5 hour delay on last flight to BWI.
Cons: Cancelled flight with prior notice at all. Only one person to help everyone on the flight figure out their travel plans - waited in line 1.5 hours just to speak to someone. Had to take a connecting flight to Boston and ended up in my destination 6 hours later than planned. On my way back from Fort Lauderdale, almost every Spirit flight in the entire airport was delayed. My flight boarded on time, but when we were ready to take off, the captain came on the loud speaker and said that we need to go back to the gate because 3 flight attendants need to get off of the plane. First and last time ever flying with Spirit.
Pros: Nothing. If this airline lasts a year I will be surprised.
Cons: Pricing is deceptive as any assigned seat costs extra. Boarding is a mess. I think they sell group 2 boarding as an extra but let group 2and 3 board together. Aisle, window and middle seats board together so people are constantly clogging aisles during boarding to let people into middle and window seats. As a result the policies that reduce carry-ons don't speed up boarding. They do clog up the departure lounge as people who haven't paid for a carry-on are pulled aside for a charge that makes their total flight cost the same as a carrier with the usual, albeit slim, amenities of most domestic airlines. This flight was hours late as was the other leg of this trip. Seats do not recline, at all. Some seat backs are just a layer of fabric, so if someone puts a knee or foot forward you get a real jab.
Cons: I accidentally booked an 9pm flight when I meant to select 9am flight at 8am after missing my jetblue flight. I needed to get to Baltimore for work. I went through security and while I was about to board the plane they turned me away due to my ticket being incorrect. The woman checking the boarding passes rudely said "there's no room on this plane so we can't switch this ticket to 9am." I went to Spirit customer service minutes after I was turned away and they told me there was in fact room on that plane. So because of an honest mistake, they 1) wouldn't refund my ticket and 2) were rude and unhelpful and refused to let me on a plane that had plenty of space but they didn't want to inconvenience themselves for 5 minutes to change my boarding pass even after I had gone through security. I will never book Spirit again, even if I'm desperate.
Pros: Everything went smoothly
Cons: A lady helping to help us print boarding passes wasn't very professional. She just said, "you have to print your boarding passes before you go check in your bags." Her tone was commanding and rude. Could use improvement and some fine tuning. I know she didn't mean to be rude. Just needs more training. I got the notice of the gate change when I got home to Baltimore. And things are just too expensive. Even though I checked my bags and paid online, I still paid $40. Too expensive. And you pay for every little thing. I would fly Spirit again, but likely not my first choice.
Pros: Pilot or flight attendant making the announcements was funny.
Cons: Carrying on a backpack and being forced to pay for a seat cost more than the actual flight. This is blatant dishonesty. You are not a cheap airline. You hide costs that customers are then forced to pay once they buy a ticket. I pay less to check a 50 lb piece of luggage for an international trip than I paid to carry on small backpack for an hour and a half flight. And, customer services reps are rude no sense of trying to ease customer frustrations. An announcement was made that a flight was cancelled and everyone needed to go to some desk to rebook. No apology, no acknowledgement of the inconvenience. Horrible customer service and dishonesty. I've had problems in the past with flights being delayed because flight attendants didn't show. No thanks.
Pros: My flight into florida not bad except I thought the plane was going to shake apart for the first 1/3 of the ride
Cons: Some how they did something wrong when they put my information in the computer for my return flight departing from Ft. Lauderdale. I was not able to check in and print my boarding pass ahead of time. I called the customer service line twice to confirm that my reservation was intact even though I could not print the pass. At the airport there was no "bag drop" so everyone from all Spirit flights had to wait in a line that was 2 blocks long (no lie.) It took 45 mins. to get to the counter. Once there no one could seem to figure out what was wrong and it didn't seem to be a priority for them as they were putting out quite a few other fires. I stood at the counter for another 45 mins. They finally were able to print my boarding pass. Thank god I was TSA approved or I would not have made the flight. That did not seem to bother any of their employees. They won't be seeing me again!
Pros: How inexpensive and quick the flight was.
Cons: From the minute I walked into the airport to the spirit counter, all the check in machines were down. I don't fly often so when one of the ladies at the counter said something about checked bags that I didn't understand and I asked her about it she was kind of rude giving her response. The food was expensive and the flight attendant was bitchy. Why don't your seats recline?! And there was gum stuck in pretty much every book (the plane instructions manual, the menu) I get that you get a good deal flying spirit but I feel like your flight attendants hate their jobs.
Pros: I left the plane and vowed never to travel with them again. I travel a lot and they are the worst in terms of addons, trying to penalize by price, (not cheap) unless you have no reason to take luggage (like a meeting where you need a change of clothes There "basic" is cheap if you need nothing else, but when you start checking luggage at $50 a suitcase a round trip of $100 any bargain is soon gone. And some of the staff (the stewardess outbound from Baltimore is Ok. But they changed planes and the bigger seat I paid for was not available. Getting a refund required checking several times. Most said they couldn't do it. The final person in Baltimore, was "lounging: against the counter". Grabbed by ticket ungraciously. Was clearly irritated that I had a refund provlem that she "had" to deal with. No smile, NO NO For the uninitiated flyer they may work. If you don't know what else is available at what price and if you read there advertising and treat riding with the like voting for trump (believing all untruths) OK. Just not for me who is an experienced flyer. I had heard Spirit was bad from others who said they would never ride with them again. But I gave them one chance--they blew it. Anne
Pros: My trip once in Las Vegas was great, however my experience flying with Spirit was the worst for my girlfriend and I. We tried to pay our luggage fees from home but weren't able to do so from our mobile phones, they charged us each $55 for one piece of luggage & they only allow you 40 pounds. Then once at the gate & before boarding the plane they told me I had to pay $65 for my small carry on, it fitted perfectly in their sample measurement they have there & still the woman from Spirit told me if you want to get on the plane you need to pay $65 now or you'll lose the flight. Same for coming back. They didn't even allowed us to sit together. So initially the flight was apparently cheap but with all the expensive luggage fees came up to $500 RT from BWI to Vegas. Worst experience ever! I've flown all over & with many airlines & this has been the worst experience ever, I'm never flying with them again & same for my girlfriend.
Cons: The alert was finally sent to us well past the time we would have been going through security. Luckily, we had checked on our own through a third party app,. No alternative flights were available, so we had to book on another airline and cancel the Spirit tickets. The credit policy is draconian. We may not be able to meet the redemption requirements and will probably lose the entire value. The process created so much frustration and wasted so much time. The low-ish price is simply not worth it.
Pros: After getting through the gate, the boarding was simple.
Cons: No mobile ticketing at O'hare. Security noted that Spirit requires you go through their ticket kiosks/desk, despite sending a mobile QR code to go through it when going through mobile check-in (itself a serious pain due to a terrible website). Further, they don't advertise that the cost of the seat and carry-on negates any savings on the ticket price itself. I couldn't even get a simple cup of water from flight attendants ("bottled water only, $3 per"). I will never willingly purchase a flight from Spirit again.
Pros: I arrived.
Cons: Every time I fly Spirit Airlines, I swear I'll never do it again. Then I see the low fares and I say "okay, just one more time." This experience was another leg in that cycle. A low fare, a "one more time," and a fierce "oh hell no--never again." When I arrived at the airport, the ticket counter looked like a flea market. It was absolutely mobbed. My flight was departing in about an hour, and one woman in line had already been waiting for 2.5 hours. Since Spirit Airlines does not participate in the mobile boarding pass process (FOR SOME INANE GODFORSAKEN BULLSHIT REASON), I still had to check in and get my boarding pass. And since two other Spirit flights had recently been cancelled, the ticket counter line was a trainwreck. An utter mass of dispirited humanity, waiting, ironically enough, at a counter called "Spirit." I managed to maneuver my way through, and with several strokes of luck and a possible intervention from God, I left the sad zoo of passengers behind me and made it through security, to the gate, and into the boarding line, with my idiotic paper boarding pass. As you might imagine, I was somewhat rushed and a touch flustered, though grateful to be en route to my destination. I was thirsty though, a combination of the morning's odyssey, the recycled cabin air, and this human need to hydrate that we share with literally every living thing on the planet. So I waited patiently for the pilot to extinguish the "seatbelt" sign, walked up to the flight attendants and politely asked for a glass of water. "That will be $3.00," she said. I paused for a moment. Surely there must be a mistake. I wanted water. Not coffee or tea or lemonade or a cocktail. Just a glass of water. This is how I came to realize that access to something that is a biological necessity for survival--that I would be granted gratis almost anywhere else--costs, on Spirit Airlines. Only those with access to a functioning credit card will be served water. Now I understand that keeping costs down is the only way this poor excuse for an airline stays in business. Every one of its passengers is there as a personal compromise, dodging hidden fees for "legroom" and seat selection and peanuts at every turn to get to their location without selling their souls to the corporate demons who've re-vamped the age-old "bait and switch" and call it a bargain. But if Spirit persists in being a seething mess of a nightmare of a preposterous front of a business, and if their customers continue to play along and manage to navigate the utter catastrophe of a process it can become to reach a destination via Spirit Airlines, one might believe that once they sit down in their unassigned (unless you're willing to pay an additional $14 each way) se
Pros: Not a single thing.
Cons: The flight was canceled 15 minutes after boarding was supposed to have started. This was at 11PM. We were told to go back to the ticket counter and see if other arrangements could be made. Another flight was also canceled at this time. It took us until 3 am to reach the ticket counter. When I got there the ticket agent asked if I could take a video of the lines for her to send to her children. After declining a 7AM flight with three stops that would have taken us to L.A. first and had us land in Baltimore at midnight, we were given tickets out on Jet Blue, a real airline, the next day at 10AM. We were also given vouchers for 3 meals, a taxi ride to and from the airport, and a hotel. However, no restaurant in the airport would take the vouchers and neither would the taxi back to the airport. The taxi was even the same company that took us to the hotel less that six hours earlier. Spirit barely had any communication with us on any of this. There was never an explanation for why the flight was canceled. They also allowed people to jump the line and get vouchers, slowing the overall process. It is safe to say I will never fly Spirit again, no matter how cheap it is.
Pros: Loved the flight attendants. Very helpful and grateful they were willing to help me relocate to another seat forward of the rear.
Cons: When I went online to purchase a seat the only one showing available was 28E at the far back of the plane. When I entered the random choice the assignment was 26C.... why was this one not shown??? And why couldn't I purchase a seat forward of the rear??? This flight was half empty. Thankfully the attendant moved me up to Row 11 which was totally empty. I do NOT like sitting in the back of the plane and that is why I try to purchase a seat over or forward of the wing. NOT a happy camper over this.
Pros: I was apprehensive to book a flight from this airline due to its size and relative unknown but was pleasantly surprise by the experience. The steward was hilarious and kept everyone on board attentions for the duration of the flight by making very good and funny jokes about the airline including tasteful tacky joke about how not to expect much from them because we all knew what we had paid for.... The flight was very smooth and pleasant! Overall I was very pleased!
Cons: Spirit Website and the way it tries to get more for seating, bag is understandable but is a turn off to me.... I was not able to put a should bag which normally goes under the seat in place due to the fact that there was an oversize person who sit in the seat in front . And as I tried to push the bag in, I felt much resistance and the person said I can't as it was pushing against her feet! I had to have it under my feet the duration of the fight and curiously attendant did not see or asked me to put it overhead! the bag fits under my return flight with another airline fine !
Pros: I paid for 5 tickets so I liked the price.
Cons: It cost me more than the price of 1 ticket to check only 2 bags both ways for the 5 of us. Checking in in Orlando was the worst experience ever and I fly at least monthly. We were put in 3 different lines in 30 minutes. The last line we were put in, the agent said she would have to charge us for PRINTING OUT BOARDING PASSES though we were told to go to that line without boarding passes. Security was terrible experience. Took forever. I nearly missed the flight. The door had already been closed when I got there. Airline staff were surly even though it was not my fault. Flight was good. Will never fly Spirit again
Pros: The flight was the cheapest option available and was cheaper than other airlines.
Cons: While I had heard bad things about Spirit airlines, I had never flown with them before. I was unaware at the time of booking that Spirit charges exorbitant fees for even carry-on luggage. As a result, I chose to attempt to fit all of my clothes and necessary items in a "personal item" sized bag to avoid the additional $90 it would cost me to bring a large backpack or standard carry-on suitcase. Other fees are charged for seemingly standard items such as being able to select a seat location and receiving a drink during the flight. I could have flown with another airline for the same price if I included the carry-on fee, and in retrospect wish I had. The problems did not stop there, however. Both my departing flight and return flight were delayed over an hour in clear weather. The flight itself was also the worst I have experienced. The seats were incredibly uncomfortable and felt like metal folding chairs. They did not recline and there was very little leg room. The full cabin lights were on for most of my return flight, which had been delayed over two hours to 11:15 pm, making any rest impossible. I will never fly Spirit again and will try to spread the word so that nobody else has to endure a flight from this poorly-run, money-grubbing excuse for an airline. You have been warned!
Pros: It was cheap.
Cons: i got a notification half way through the day that my 11:30 pm flight was getting delayed an hour, greeaaaat. I got to the airport that evening an hour before we were supposed to board and people watched. The flight before us from our gate was supposed to take off at 11:25 but randomly decided to take off EARLY. 20 people missed the flight and the desk lady said the next flight they could take would be Tuesday and this was a Sunday. What the heck! I digress. So we board our flight and get ready to take off. We are literally in line to go into the air when the captain comes on and says we have to go back to the gate to shift luggage around bc the aircraft is in balanced. Shouldn't they have realized that prior?! So we had to go back and we didn't end up taking off until almost 2:30 am. I will never fly spirit again. It's not worth the cheapness.
Pros: I liked nothing about this airline or the plane.
Cons: The staff are horrible; don't care about your issue they only want to charge you for things they don't have to. They charged me $110 per trip total of $220 roundtrip and my flight cost $213 roundtrip. They charge $3 for a bottle of water. When I asked for a cup of water they said ONLY IF YOU HAVE TO TAKE A PILL if I do not want to buy a $3 bottle of water. They charged me $55 for a backpack carry on (because it had wheels and it was 18"x14"x10"!!! I would never fly this airline again. None of their seats on the plane recline!!! I was stiff and sore.
Pros: Fast boarding and unboarding.
Cons: Charging $55 fee for a carry-on is way too much!! If you pay for your carry-ons online it is $10 dollars less.I tried to do that, but, unfortunately every time I tried to complete the transaction the page keep redirecting me to buy more "extra services". I chose check out without any extras but nothing!! The webpage was no responsive!! I tried to pay for my carry-on from my cell, laptop and tablet. But same result, that page became frozen without allowing me to pay the fee. I don't know if this was an unfortunately condidence, or is done on purpose to charge the extra $10!!
Pros: The person who helped us with our refund was very helpful.
Cons: We arrived to the airport to check our bags and were informed that our flight had been delayed an hour for maintenance. No huge issue with us we decided to eat breakfast and then hang out for a bit before the flight boarded. We arrived at the gate to find out the plane was delayed another 8 hours. I understand issues happen all the time that are out of our hands. The gentleman at the gate was extremely helpful and accommodating, but he still gave it a 50/50 shot of the plane being cancelled or not. We opted to receive a refund and drive to Baltimore. I completely understand that this was a safety issue with the plane. I'm not upset that the flight was delayed. But having to wait 9 hours for a plane that may or may not be able to make it or be cancelled was tough.
Pros: The price of the flight. Flight Crew members were pleasant.
Cons: I tend to make the best of all situations but this time it was very difficult. Honestly, I would rather pay the "hidden fees" for a more comfortable flight with the ability to recline my seat, travel with a carry on bag and have in flight refreshments without having to pay extra. Sitting in an upright position for 5 hours straight with no leg room is torture. The thought of dodging hidden fees is great but not at the expense of comfortability and incurring additional baggage and in flight fees. Unfortunately, I would not fly with this airline again unless the flight is 2 hours or less and it was the only option available. Bottled water should be free for travelers even if it's only the 8oz bottles. The snack/drink menu options are limited and the prices are ridiculous. Thank you for the services, however this will not be an option in the future.
Pros: Polite staff on board
Cons: Unannounced gate change at the last minute. Almost missed plane because the change affected the terminal. It never displayed on the board. We had gone through security and had to exit the airport to get to the switched terminal which was far (10 walk) and had to get through new security check. After going through the full body scanner, a TSA agent patted my hair with her dirty gloves. Nobody should have their hair patted down after going through a full body scanner. This is a violation of my person, of my privacy. Also noted that only coloured women had their hair patted down. We should never be treated like animals or differently than other travelers.
Pros: one time departure and arrive
Cons: I chose Spirit because of its cheap flight price so I didn't expect a high quality of service. For example, I didn't expect a very comfortable seats or meals in the flight. But, there are some instances which are not dependent to the price/money like politeness of the flight attendant/employees or responsiveness of the boarding member. On the flight day, me and the other fellow traveler were waiting for the boarding but the gate was closed and no body was standing at the front of the boarding desk. Also, there was no LCD screen to show that this gate is assigned for the Houston or any other places. The time was passed from the original boarding time and we were still waiting for the boarding member. Accidentally, I saw a airport employee and ask him that this is the gate assigned to the IAH Houston? And he responded: "Oh no, the gate is changed!" Thus, I ran from the former gate to the new assigned gate. But I saw that the people are still waiting for the boarding member at the front desk. There was a 25min delay and all the people were standing and waiting for that lady to come. At the end, since she was alone and she couldn't handle all the people, she didn't check the boarding zone. It is important to be mentioned that I received the changing of the gate E-mail very late just I was entering the airplane! In the airplane, the flight attendant were not friendly. They didn't help the old people to entering the airplane or putting their luggage at the top cases. During the flight, they were just sitting and playing with their mobiles! Apart from this issues, the worst scenario happened in the baggage claim. When all the people were waiting about 30mins for delivery of the baggage. At the end, it was so disappointing to see one my baggage is broken and its handle bar was detached that I couldn't move it easily to the outside of the airport. I reported the issue to the Spirit baggage claim and that employee was not friendly either and she didn't even apologize! Therefore, I am currently totally disappointed about the Spirit because as I mentioned there are some instances which are not dependent to the price/money. Even cheap airlines should provide highly respected treatment to their customers.
Pros: Let me start by saying that the entire purpose of Spirit is to be significantly cheaper than other airlines and at that, they have succeeded. We saved nearly $300 for two people round trip. That said, you have to read their policies before booking to fly with them as they do charge you for any baggage beyond a small backpack/purse. We planned accordingly and it worked just fine. Because they are cheaper, they also provide no movies or entertainment of any kind and no food/beverage provided. They are available for purchase on the flight or you could just again, plan accordingly and pack your own snacks and drinks before you board the flight. Many complaints about them having frequent delays. But we were fortunate enough to not have any of these on our outgoing and return flights. Flight attendance were friendly and courteous.
Cons: They are cheap so they have the cheapest feeling cabins of any airline I've flown in the US. No reclining. Not much leg room. And not much of a tray table. For a 5 hour flight across the US it was a bit uncomfortable. I probably wouldn't book them again for a flight of the duration but it would be more than fine for a 2-3 hour flight considering the cost. Flight attendance were pushing the airlines credit card at the end of the flight.
Pros: Spirit is known as an ultra low cost carrier. I did not know this when I purchased the tickets, so the fares we paid were a little less than that of competitors. The pros end there.
Cons: For the amount of harassment one goes through to fly with Spirit, the slightly lower fares are not worth it. Frankly, it seems like a ploy to hook people and subsequently squeeze three nickels out of every dime for anything else on the flight. The boarding process was delayed by over an hour. The attendant speaking from the gate was rude, hostile, and obnoxious. Those boarding were practically interrogated to make sure the water bottle they were holding might not be an extra personal item. (You have to pay $55 for a carry-on but are allowed one personal item on Spirit. If you are caught carrying extra onto the plane without paying, it's a $100 fine. One which they are on the prowl for!) Once on the flight, there is no entertainment. There is no complimentary anything. You can buy food or drink with credit cards only. The seats do not even have a tilt function to them, so you can only sit upright. My personal favorite part of the flight was watching the fight that ensued between female passengers deboarding and the attendants that did nothing about it. Something about the ultra low cost carrier makes people crazed to get off the plane. At the end of a flight, everyone wants off a plane, but I have never seen such disorganized chaos and blatantly rude disregard for the deboarding process as on this flight. Next time I travel, I'll spend the extra $100 to fly with another airline. Lesson learned.
Pros: Not one single thing!
Cons: Having to fly on Spirit, your crooked, deceitful, poor customer service ways. You are the bottom of the bottom! I can't believe that our government allows you to stay in business. Your planes are dirty, reeks of puke, and unsafe. It's only a matter of time before people start having health problems because of your dirty nasty planes and before the planes start falling out of the sky because of the old, poor maintained planes. Do us a favor and merge with another company who knows how to run an airline business like Southwest, American, Delta. Better yet, just SHUT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: The flight was smooth, that's about it.
Cons: Before I got on the aircraft, I stood at the counter and was ignored for 20 minutes. The flight attendants and person who was supposed to be manning the desk were all laughing and sharing stories near the breezeway and ignoring all the customers to come to the desk. I received my seat assignment just moments before we started boarding. First of all when I got on the airplane the floor and seats were covered with cookies crumbs. Also when I first got on the airplane there was trash still stuffed in the back of the seats. Second of all, the crew, one person in particular was not very professional with some of her comments and reminded me of how a high school student would act. I don't think I'll ever fly Spirit Airlines again and less it's a very short duration flight . The seats in this aircraft did not recline at all either and were really uncomfortable,
Cons: The trickery of low pricing is quickly realized with your inflated baggage and seating. No frills?? Water and a bag of peanuts wouldn't kill you. And the worst ever is your significantly inefficient ticketing process! A domestic flight shouldn't require a 2 hour airport arrival and even with that, leave 47 passengers at the gate... All that waited patiently thru limited attended ticketing and baggage drop lines followed by security all in an effort to maintain on time departure stats. Other airlines would at least provide a food voucher. I arrived at the airport in Ft. Lauderdale at 5:30 AM and didn't return to BWI until 12:30AM the next day. That's unconscionable and in this day and age -- flat out horrible business!
Pros: I liked the price and the onboard staff was pleasant. The pilots were appropriately apologetic.
Cons: Our flight was delayed. Then delayed again, then delayed again and eventually cancelled!! So we were re-booked on the evening flight. Twelve hours later! Then that flight was delayed. And delayed again. Finally we took off 2 and a half hours after our scheduled flight time after spending 15 hours at the airport! We lost an entire day of our mini-vacation! We found out our flight was cancelled do to mechanical failure of the plane. We ended up with the very same plane that night and it was not fixed! They still had a problem with their auxillliary power so they had one Hell of a time getting the engines started we sat and sat and waited on the tarmac for the engines to finally be started. When we first arrived, the ticket agents were nice but seemed easily confounded and seemed to need a manager to help them with every single customer. Unfortunately, there was only one to go around. The baggage assistance office person was standoffish and acted like giving one word answers was a big intrusion on her time, although we were the only customers there when we talked to her. Baggage was in front of and behind her office door. We had to go in through a side door she shared with American Airlines. It was as if she wanted to discourage people from talking to her. There is more, but you get the picture.
