Flight attendants were very rude. Food wasn’t that great.
Overall the flight was okay. My problem was with the tepareture inside the aircraft. I was freezing entire trip.
The inflight facilities were great. The Q suite was excellent in comfort. The main meal was served late. Also they didn’t have the pre-booked meal option asked for. This could be improved. Generally everything was great.
Seats are NOT AT ALL spacious. Customer service is neither with American Airlines nor with Qatar. You call one airline for a seat upgrade - They tell you to call the other. Its a disaster - American Airlines shouldn't be in the picture. They dont have Economy Plus or Comfort Plus seating at all on a 14 hour flight…And call themselves the #1 airline in the world. Seating is PATHETIC. Staff, Crew members and food - Top of the world
Yet another delayed American Airlines flight (the one coming over was delayed too.). I understand these things happen. My issue is that the flight crew does a lousy job of keeping passengers informed of what is going on with the delays. They wait until 15 minutes after your scheduled departure to tell you why you're still sitting at the gate. Then they tell you it will only be another 5 minutes. After 20 more minutes they decide to tell you why you haven't moved, and it should only be 5 MORE minutes. Really, American, if you don't have any idea how long the delay really might be, don't just pull numbers out of the air. People prefer honesty to BS.
It was disappointing at AMD airport. Qatar airways staff @AMD airport was working very slow , people @ counter#1 were just taking instead helping economy class passengers to get their boarding pass after first and business class was done getting boarding pass. Also they asked RT PCR report again @ boarding gate - which is really annoying. Qatar airways did not inform regarding changes guide line regarding RT PCR test - they asked me to take RT PCR again @ airport since my one was done before 72 hours as per old guidelines. How much time does it take for Qatar airways to send email regarding updated guidelines?
Less noisy children which cannot be helped…
This flight was intense. It was overcrowded, people weren’t following Covid guidelines. And in general, was a mess due to young kids causing a lot of noise and disturbance. I ended up with a headache the entire flight because of it.

Pros: "Time was good. Ground service was good. In-flight was okay. Because I love Cathay so much I took a 3 hour longer trip through LA (vs. Seattle) and paid more. But I was berating myself for that. But the flight back was Cathay service at its finest."

Cons: "The gate was changed 1hr prior to boarding despite the arriving plane having landed 3hrs prior. So with stroller and infant in toe, I had to run to change terminals/buildings. There was no assistance or prior warning regarding this from the check in staff and I made it all the way to the original terminal and gate before having to turn around. The desk staff at the gate was asked about early boarding for infants and said it would be okay but didn’t give clear instructions on boarding so I sat down and they began boarding each group 20 minutes later and did not give priority to mother’s with infants. The stroller which I brought to the gate was then tagged incorrectly with a white tag instead of a pink tag. I was later told by he crew that it meant it would go directly to baggage claim instead of being brought to the door. According to the crew, all staff know to tag with a pink tag. At every step there was blatant display of inconsideration that made an already difficulty journey, that much more challenging."
Pros: "The crew made up for almost of the terrible things about the flight."
Cons: "The outdated plane had no plug in capability. No Gogo or individual in flight entertainment. The food was most inedible, the vegetarian snack was a hard baguette with old sliced tomatoes and wilted lettuce. I couldn’t eat most of what was served because it was so terrible."
Pros: "The in flight staff was very friendly"
Cons: "Our 2nd flight was changed by the airline, causing us to have a 6 hour layover in Philadelphia instead of a 2 hour layover. Then when we ask about changing to a different flight they told us that the original flight we were supposed to be on (that we booked over 8 months ago) was completely full so that’s why we were moved, and there were no other flights available to switch to. So we accepted that. But when we printed our boarding passes, we saw that our seats were now separate from each other, and they were both middle seats! I don’t understand how booking my tickets so far in advance still resulted in these issues. We were finally able to get an aisle and window seat (not near each other) but both flights had poor to little entertainment, which I wouldn’t have expected on such long flights with American Airlines. Really was letdown. :("

Even if there were several concurring factors, it it necessary to find a better procedure in order to avoid keeping passangers inside a plane with the prospect of taking off in the next half hour repeated every half hour! For the ones of us traveling with children it is even worse, and becomes a real nightmare."

Pros: "Almost 20 hours before regular flight time, received numerous texts from airline that flight will be delayed. Some were delays if 4,5 hours then changed to almost 8 hrs then back to 6 hours . Needless to say connection flight is messed up and no way of knowing what that might be until arriving at airport. Then more confusion, too almost an hour to get checked in. With connecting flight of 1.5 hours which is scary for international flight that requires going through custom then recheck luggage and TSA line again. The saving grace is captain speed up place on first leg of international flight so arrived airport 1 hour early, thus allowing enough time to connect."
