The flight was great. On time departure and on time arrival. I did not sample the food/beverage service. The entertaining was OK but I was disappointed that I could not access live TV. It was Sunday and I wanted to watch the football games. I could not do that due to the limited options. I did watch a movie and some canned TV series, like Big Bang theory to pass the time.
I don't have any complaints about the flight from Atlanta to New York except for being stuck on the tarmac at JFK for what seemed like an hour because of lack of personnel to taxi us to the gate. The plan had landed at 11:35pm but we didn't deplane until 12:25am. The crew handled it well even though they seemed incredibly tired.
Delays really ruin days, excitement, the overall experience of traveling. Having inaccurate times and poor communication sucks.
Flying with Delta is always a relatively smooth experience.
Had problems with Wi-Fi but otherwise very good flight.

The time spent was around 6 hours....4 of them the were on one continuous phone call where we were bumped back and forth between West Jet and Delta. The problem was never fixed and we haven’t flown home yet. We have new flights booked on Delta but only because Delta took pity....West Jet does no refunds or reticketing. If flights are missed you're out on of luck!"

She told me that the ticket I purchased over a month in advance did not guarantee me a seat on the plane (???). She said that if I was bumped from the flight they would reschedule me for the next morning. She was pretty rude and made it seem like I had a 50/50 shot of getting on this plane. I rushed to the airport in hopes that I would be the first from Standby there, and the gate agent told me that I was fine and would board right after first class and be assigned a seat then. Great. Once I got my seat assignment, I board to find out there is someone else sitting in my seat...... They eventually called the desk and had her moved, but it was the weirdest boarding experience I've had.. and I've flown Spirit. These planes that Delta fly's are SO OLD. Both times I have flown Delta the "turbulence" has been so bad and cold air was blowing right on my the whole flight with no option to turn it off (it wasn't from one of the vents, but from the side). Someone close to me works for Delta and I know for a fact that some of their engines blow mid-flight.. and they tell the passengers that it's turbulence.. so that doesn't make me feel very safe. I won't fly Delta again if there is another comparable option."

The lounge does not even have food for purchase, the refrigerator shelves are empty and no where to go get food. Has been an awful experience."

Cons: "I fly weekly for work, but last week I got to fly to Toronto for pleasure to see my fiancé. In all of my years of traveling, I have missed a flight maybe 5 times due to traffic, weather, or other uncontrollable factors. It happened to be that on my way to Chicago Midway, there was an accident on the road that stopped traffic dead for 40 minutes. When I arrived at the airport, I begged for people to help me out by letting me cut security lines so that I wouldn't be late, but alas...others were also rushed and the TSA agents weren't too helpful. I arrived at the gate for my flight about 3 minutes late in defeat. Oh well - it happens! What was really unpleasant was that nobody would help me out. I was charged $150 to "change" my flight instead of just getting rebooked on the next one the way any other airline would happily do. And to top it all off, I was given the runaround with 3 different Porter employees diffusing responsibility. I will be moving to Toronto after the wedding but will still work out of Chicago - which means that I could provide business to Porter Airlines for the next few decades! Because of this poor service, you have lost my business. I would rather fly with another airline where customer service is a priority. Losing years of a customer's weekly business over a $150 fee seems to me to be a rather poor business model and I am sorry that the bureaucratic rules in this case could not be bent."

We asked that they take care of our flights themselves - even with other airlines. They politely but categorically refused. We got our money back and flew with Westjet, and will likely never fly with or recommend Porter again."

When we finally arrived, our Gate was taken by other plane already and we had to wait (more) for the first one to be available for us. Then, when we finally got our Gate, there was another issue, now with the "finger". They weren't able to move it and connect it to the plane to get off of it. So we had to wait AGAIN. And finally as soon as we got off the plane, they were supposed to give us our carry ons on the aisle (Because it was a small plane CR700) , but again, we had to wait almost 10 minutes so that they could send the luggage... To make things worse, I had a first class ticket and I couldn't get the perks of it at the airport. Because they said I wasn't flying in an international flight. Come on?! Canada->USA->Mexico is not International??? You lost me AA."

Cons: "I was told I would be able to choose the seats only 24 hours before the flight by going online. I tried to choose the seats online but could not have access to the site. I then called the number provided to ask for more help, and was told that I could then only choose the seats at the check in time. I was at the airport 2 hours before the flight schedule to book my seat and was told them that I could only choose the seats at the gate. Once I got at the gate I asked the person to please give me a seat at the aisle for medical reasons but after waiting until the boarding process had started I was giving a middle seat. Not only I was treated as a stand by passenger that had not purchased the tickets I was put nt on group 8 and at the moment of boarding the gate personal aggressively grabbed my carry-on bag because they insisted there was no more spaces in the compartment above heads. Once I got inside of airplane I saw many empty compartments available for carry-on luggage. I wish I had not purchased my ticket with Iberia Airlines operated by American Airlines. It was not a good, pleasant experience and do not recommend. I wil certainly avoid in the future and not travel this way another time. Thanks"

Service was terrible in First Class. American should seriously do something about that."

Cons: "We could not check in online because we refused to pay for seats that I felt that already purchased or was entitled to one so I bought a ticket. When we got to the airport and checked in they did not put me and my traveling partner together meaning they didn't see them together not to mention. Our flight was delayed and we only have 4 minutes to get from gate a to gate. We got to the gate collected our boarding passes found out we were seated at the very very very back of the plane right next to the restrooms.........NICE"

When attempting to check-in online, there was no flight. The new flight involved a 2 hour drive to a different and added 2 weeks of parking charges that we wouldn't have otherwise had."

Cons: "Boarding was chaotic - after having first class and preferred passengers board, it was a free for all for all other passengers, which doesn't make a lot of sense and caused a long line. Due to a malfunctioning piece of equipment, the plane was about 90 degrees during boarding and while waiting for takeoff, which was pretty miserable. Temperature was fine after takeoff. The plane itself was very old, seats were cramped, and the screens for movies/tv (and selections themselves) were very poor, which is disappointing for an 8 hour flight. There were no power hookups either, which my Aer Lingus flight a few days beforehand offered. Finally, the passenger in front of me put his seat back while the plane was boarding, making it a struggle to get into my seat while boarding and to get out of it to let others in my aisle out from time to time for the restroom. Can't really blame the last one on the airline, but it added to the misery."

We were assigned to row 54, headache the whole trip, almost throw up at the end. 4. my daughter almost didn't eat because apparently only have chicken curry. My daughter is vegetarian."

Pros: "Our original flight was delayed an hour, then 4 hours, then eventually cancelled. The last gate crew gave us no updates other than saying it was being delayed to a maintenance check. We eventually had to rebook our direct flight from ORD to CDG to then ORD to LHR and then to CDG. Because of this delay we missed most of our first day in Paris. The flight crew from LHR to CDG was very polite and friendly! I will be doing business with British Airways again in the near future. I will not be doing business with American Airlines anytime soon. Neither will my friends and family once they find out about my horrible experience with their lackluster customer service."

But they had wheel chair assist and a nice girl Veronica that stayed with me until I got the shuttle to the Reniassance Hotel in Chicago. Great room and comfortable. Nice to have the dinner and breakfast coupons. I got assist to the airport in the van and help boarding my plane to El Paso. I give British Air ways an excellent star."

Cons: "Connections to US destinations now require your checked in baggage to be processed before you can proceed to your connecting flights. The real problem is that this is no sign or communications describing this. Everyone is simply stopped in the corridor and told that they cannot proceed farther until their name comes up green on a monitor. Unfortunately the monitor switches displays so frequently that it is almost impossible to read. In addition to that it seems names do not always appear on the monitor unless you get your boarding pass scanned a the desk (this is not communicated to you unless you ask why your name is not on the monitor at all). People late for connecting flights (because of inbound flight delays) are required to wait without explanation sometimes needlessly if they don't have a checked bag. A nightmare if you're trying to make your connection. In addition once you've cleared that hurdle you need to go through security again (something we were unprepared for since we were already in the secure area. You then proceed to customs and then your connecting flight (if you haven't already missed it by then). Allow lots of time to get to your connecting flight, and ask to get you boarding pass scanned at that mysterious "checked bag" stop in the corridor."

It’s a short flight to be sure but air canada planes never feel like many Other airlines’ mini planes or puddle jumpers. they seem new, spacious, seat back Entertainemnt, just great. Also, there is no scrimping on Service. How many Delta or united or American flights have i taken on this route only to be told “coffee or water” and sometimes no coffee “the flight is too short”. Nonsense! Granted I was in business, but I had a full hot breakfast served and a full array of beverages offered. It AC can do it, everyone can. The flight attendant was lovely."

Cons: "It was interesting to me that the plane used for a 4 hour flight (this one) was smaller than a plane used for a 1hr flight. I was uncomfortable the entire time. this was a redeye flight, departing at midnight. the cabin lights stayed on for the first hour making it impossible to dose off. we were given a 'snack' of a disgusting chicken wrap slathered in mayo. it was inedible. oh, and accompanied by a large kitkat bar. I mean. Who came up with this combo? there were no screens, no in flight entertainment unless you wanted to run down your phone battery or rent an ipad for $10. I was truly disappointed."

Cons: "Flight was delayed for several hours, while the crew assured us it was on the way. When it landed they still said it was being prepped. Then at 10pm or so, they said it was cancelled. Then we waited another hour and a half to speak to representatives and get our hotels. Then another hour to the hotel to go to sleep. Because I had to be back at the airport in 7 hours to catch the next flight. It would have taken me 2 hours to drive to Seattle from Vancouver."

They also understated. It took me over 2 hrs to get throug check in process, not counting 45mins + through security check and custom. I had asked staff to expedite the process. C my flight was boarding. Staff could care or less and walked away. I had to run to my gate and almost miss my flight. Also, I was told that 1st checked bag was complimentary as this is a express aircraft. Staff wouldn't honor that. Come to find out as I entered the aircraft that they made many passengers do the complimentary gate check anyway. Rude and unaccompdating staff."
Cons: "The flight was at least 1/2 late leaving. We were told we had to detour to Toronto to refuel as the plane couldn't hold enough fuel to make it to Los Angles. This caused us to make an unplanned stop which added a total of another 2 3/4 hours to our trip. Really not enough fuel to make a trip we paid for. The cabin was very warm, and we had already eaten our food we brought. Many people missed connections... Not pleased with Air Canada"

Cons: "I was sent to Frankfurt because Air Canada messed up my flight. When I got to Frankfurt, they had booked me on a lufthansa flight. When I got to the gate to get a boarding pass, the person told me that Air Canada had not paid them for the flight and unless they were able to contact them before boarding the plane, I would not be able to get in. They were able to do so right before boarding. The plane from Frankfurt was over one hour late. I was supposed to arrive in Lyon at 10:35am and got there at 7:30pm. Throughout all this ordeal, Air Canada staff members were mostly unhelpful and often rude."

Cons: "There was more kids then adults in the plane. The food was terrible, surged too late for a flight to a muslin country with almost everyone fasting on board. Once it was served, left side of the plane was served first while kids on the right side claming their meals and not understanding why they are not getting any. The bathrooms were dirty. No screens on board. The seats bead some upholstery work."
