"There is not any form of entertainment. Other airlines offer in flight movies or shows at the customers use. You get one free hour of wifi that gets you half way through a movie during a 4 hour flight."

I sat in seat 1A both ways and as the first person to get on and off the flight found the process well laid out, easy, clean and smooth. I also got to witness the boarding process from inside while seated. Very professional and courteous all the way. The first class cabin was sparsely filled with ample space between us and based on how many people I saw getting on, I think the rear cabin must've been sparsely filled as well. More on the comfort aspect in the "what would have been bettter section" ... in short, the seats are the weakest link in the chain."
Cons: "My only gripe is about the seats fitted in first class for this Alaska Air leg (JFKSFO). Like most, my travel frequency has dropped so much that I can finally afford to pay full fare first for the few times I do need to travel. I expect that this will more likely be the norm than not and hope/expect that more among us who can afford to pay extra for the additional comfort, do so. The airline industry will need to keep that segment to get ahead of this seismic shift in travel patterns that 2020 has brought upon all of us. I was hoping to just sleep through it. I normally sleep well/easily on flights (at times, "too well"!) but could not do so on this leg. The seats in first class are just not meant for sleeping and are thus limited in their positioning ... brief napping is the best you can do - carry your entertainment/work or plan on meditating while fully awake. The base is for all intent and purposes, immovable (maybe a couple of inches back and forth at best). There is no concept of a foot rest in the design. The back locks into one of two positions - a vertical one for take-off/landing and a second one tilted about 15 degrees or so. That makes it impossible to stretch the body out while fully supported - so hard to go into relaxed/deep sleep for those who wish to do so. The front passenger seat of a common car offers more for a five hour road trip - something to ponder on, eh? Upgrade the seats ...the extra investment will pay for itself quickly in this age of reduced travel as you'll attract more of those who are lucky to be able to pay a little more to fly in comfort for the few times that they need to. Additionally, sleeping passengers are often the easiest/cheapest to service!"

Pros: "The crew was good. The problem was our Qantas flight from Auckland New Zealand, to Sydney, Australia, to San Francisco, to Seattle didn't sync with Alaska Air. We arrived in San Francisco after a very long flight. We had gotten our boarding passes in Auckland. When we went to board in SF, there was a glitch and they wouldn't let us board. It took a long time to get that fixed. We missed our flight (with our luggage on it), and had to wait several more hours. Plus Alaska Air had cancelled a flight mid morning and the trickle down result was many people were stuck and waiting on flights. Then we had to wait for a crew to come, then they found something wrong with the plane so had to get in a new plane. It was a long and hard day for everyone."

Cons: "I did not like that the airline allowed more than 1-2 people to accompany 1 small child when pre-boarding. I happened to be able to go in with the general boarding but was one of those who was first in line within this group. My seat which was 5C already had no overheard room!!! It appears that 1 child was accompanied by 4 adults when they pre-boarded and in addition to their carry-ons, they put their foldable stroller, backpacks and totes in the overhead bin!! The airline announced a request for people to leave the overhead bin spaces for bigger carryons but does not enforce it. Flight attendants should not feel uncomfortable actually asking to whom the backpack or tote belong to and tell passengers to put those under their seats. Somehow, passengers need to be educated on proper etiquette. Also, pre-boarding should only allow 1-2 people to accompany a child or an elderly person. Pre-boarding should not be taken advantage of by all adults traveling with those needing it."

Cons: "I don't normally leave reviews, but words really can't describe the nightmarishness of what should have been a quick four hour flight from San Francisco to Washington. Seats for my wife and I were not where I had reserved. Plane had one working lavatory for a cabin of 150 economy passengers. This resulted in a line that stretched the entirety of the single aisle of the plane for the majority of the flight. The second toilet simply had a piece of paper with sharpie that read "DO NOT USE!!" There were two attendants, one of whom wore a t-shirt and was mostly indistinguishable from the passengers. Didn't get so much as a cup of water until over two hours into the four hour flight. No snack, but that's the least of my complaints really. The attendants spent most of the flight in the back of the plane discussing their new vacation lottery and where they were going to go out drinking when we landed–I know because the rear of the plane was where I ended up, forced to smell the single working toilet, in a seat that didn't recline."

Cons: "In the SF airport, your crew accepted me to pay for $25 for putting my suitcase into the plane. But then, she mentioned that the flight was delayed and there was no way that I can made my connection from LA to Indianaplis. So I was given a boarding pass with my suitcase ($25 paid) only to LA. The front desk asked me to try other ways when I arrived LA to see what can be done. When I entered into the gate, your CS changed my flight to UA after I have presented my case. However, I had to pull the suitcase out from Alaska, paid another $25 to United and started the trip all over again. All the while, your crews expected me (an alien from Asia) that I should have known every thing get it through, or to claim my suitcase charges. I am really disappointed for the lack of understanding. To you, it may be something happened so common everyday. To me, I was totally lost to handle this."

Cons: "I arrived at the SFO at 715. I checked in and went straight to my gate. After sitting in the gate area just a few minutes, the women at my flight desk announced a delayed flight(flight would depart at 10 instead of 855) The asked that passengers come retrieve their meal vouchers. She checked my boarding pass and I went and ordered myself dinner and returned to sit down close to 9pm. I waited for the screen to change for the new flight information but it never did. The terminal was busy with music and basketball finals.lost of mumbling announcemrnt so I kept checking my flight screen and it still had the original flight. I sat waiting. All of a suddent the tv changes and it’s a different destination??? I got up and asked why my flight wasn’t posted and she told me ‘sweetheart your flight left 20minutes ago.’ I was shocked. How could this happen? She informed me i’d missed my flight that was never delayed. I was so tired and worried and she kept calling me sweetheart. Telling me there were mo more flights but that she’d put me on a 6am the next morning. With my disability I was so worried I pushed and pushed and spoke to both counter airling people. Finally, I got mad and she put me on united. I am so upset about the whole ordeal. That was a surreal awful experience that had me crying on the way home."

Pros: "The attendant who helped me was extremely helpful in arranging for me to be on the next flight to Portland, out of San Jose. She called and arranged for a shuttle to pick me up in San Francisco and bring me to San Jose at no cost, and provided me with a flex ticket so that if I missed the next flight I could be on the subsequent one. (I did in fact make it -- just barely -- onto the 11:15 flight out of San Jose, so when all was said and done I landed in Portland about three hours later than originally planned. As it was a very short trip, I'm quite glad that I only lost the time that I did.) Thank you, Diane (Diana?), for all your help."
Cons: "I had originally been scheduled for an 8:45 am flight out of San Francisco. As I was leaving for the airport at 6:30 I received a text saying that my flight had been delayed until 10:08. I ended up arriving at the airport around 9:00 and making it over to the service desk around 9:20, at which point I was told by one of the attendants that the flight had left at 9:18 and I should have been at the airport two hours early. There was no acknowledgment by this particular attendant that I had been given wrong information by the airline that had resulted in my missing the flight."

Cons: "I arrived to my gate about a half hour before boarding was set to start. An employee greeting me recommended I use the restroom because the gate was down an elevator and in a portion of the airport that did not have accessible restrooms or food options. She cautioned against returning late later than ten minutes before boarding. I returned about ten minutes before the scheduled boarding, only to be told there would be a delay, which wouldn't be an issue except that it took over an hour and sounded like a standard, foreseeable safety process due to the plane being out of the country prior to our flight. Then we were shuttled to the plane on a frigid bus, which at one point stopped so suddenly several passengers and baggages were sent to the floor. And then, after finally taking off, the in flight wifi did not work. After landing in Portland, there was a 45 minute delay because "a vehicle is parked in our gate." Ultimately, we flew safe and sound, but the discomfort caused by the cold bus transports, poor bus driving, foreseeable delays, and a parked vehicle was really unacceptable. After this experience, it will be hard to choose Alaska Airlines in the future."

Pros: "The flight crew was good, and the flight was quick once we got on the plane - which was 1 hour 45 minutes after we should have!"
Cons: "I got on the second leg of a flight from Seattle to Palm Springs at San Francisco. First, the flight arrived an hour late. Passengers from Seattle said that the loading crew somehow dented the wall to the luggage area (?) and they had to inspect it before flying. When it finally got to SFO, we boarded the plane at first, and then had to deplane back into the airport because they had (over?)filled the wrong fuel tank. So they had to empty that tank and fill another I guess? Don't know if the tank they filled was on the other side of the dented luggage area. The announcements from the desk were puzzling, and tended to be every 10 minutes telling us to wait 10 minutes instead of giving a good estimate so we didn't need to stand at the gate the whole time. After about 50 more minutes we boarded again and the plane took off OK. But there needs to be serious improvement in communication between the crew on the ground (gas & luggage etc) and the pilot and the desk crew, and between all of them and their paying customers."

Cons: "One particular flight attendant purposely ignored me when I tried to ask for cream and sugar for my coffee which she did not offer when handing out drinks. Then she looked right at me twice as I tried to give her my garbage which she was collecting, but she ignored me again and left me holding my garbage until a different flight attendant came much later and took it without incident. It made me wonder if it was because I looked Asian- she was helpful and polite to the white women next to me. I was polite and was not being difficult in any way. I'm half white, but was often treated like this in Illinois when I was growing up. She should have been professional and if she had I would have rated the trip as excellent."

Pros: "Service was excellent as always. I was cold and reluctant to say anything. Seemed like lots were asking for hot drinks and bundled up so the stewardess asked the pilot to crank up the heat. (No one had requested this!) At that moment I realized, many of us are afraid due to recent things on the news. I am a frequent and long-term traveller so if I felt it, you can be sure others do too. It is an industry problem, not your fault, but Alaska has to address it. Even if people don't know that they are angry or afraid, they are going to be reactive--aggressive or passive and/or resistant.... I would encourage you to bring the issue to the surface and remind your travellers on every flight that they can expect excellent service, pleasant responsiveness. Say something or do something that gets at the idea that the Alaska staff is protective of each passenger. One idea would be to have the stewardess remind people of the call light and encourage passengers to use it if they have any questions or concerns, or come see them in the back when it is safe to leave the seat."

Pros: "Nothing. I didn't take flight due to punishing re book procedure that Alaska employs to basically steal money from it's customers."
Cons: "They weight the value of 1st leg much higher than the return AND they want to charge you $125 change fee. My grandma passed away and I needed to reschedule my itinerary. Alaska stuck to their policies (you know, those pages of microscopic text that is written by lawyers for sole reason of screwing the customer.) I just felt really abused; told them to keep the useless "credit". I booked with Delta. At what point does a company forget who they are supposed to be serving? Perhaps the people that are actually giving you money and keeping you in business?"

Pros: "The prices were decent and the personnel at the airport check in counter were friendly and helpful. The flight was short but it was nice to have the seat-back chargers to recharge my phone."

I watched this from my seat in disappointment. I needed to ask for a seat extender as I'm currently recovering from surgery and needed a little room around the bandages and I had to ask several times even though there was not a lot of pre-flight activity. They were standing around in the aisle. I make note of this type of behavior because I fly frequently for work on a variety of airlines and this is my first experience with Alaska Air."

Cons: "Jet Blue provided 5 sequential delay messages over an hour. Their inability to better estimate departure is disappointing. The real problem is that delay was caused directly by the airline's incompetence. There were no weather issues, the takeoff spots were available. They simply failed to load snacks. Although there WAS a minor prior delay bc a slightly late plane arrival, we eventually were delayed about an extra hour to supply snacks on a 4-hr flight. Given the ground crew had EXTRA time to load and also considering the tiny set of options offered, this is senseless. Further, b/c they ran out of overhead bins, they offered to GATE check my luggage. This was essentially a lie - they put it with checked bags, unlike the gate checked items I watched others retrieve. The combination of these errors led me to arrive at the car rental desk after closure. This caused me to incur a taxi fare, so spend 30 min or so working out an alternative rental the following day, and then yet ANOTHER cab to the Car Desk to get the car. This is the only time in my hundred or so car rentals anything like this has happened. I will certainly think twice (or more) before booking Jet Blue again."

After onboarding we got stuck on the tarmac due to traffic. Flight took off with turbulence to start and finally after 45 mins we got bottles of water. I asked crew if they would come around with more... I was starving and also have the perk of free alcoholic beverages in flight. I was offered neither and we only received chips 1+ hour into the flight. One of our TVs broke and the crew wasn’t helpful in an alternative... Overall worst Jetblue exp I’ve had to date, and I’ve flown with them a lot due to my Mosaic status.."

First it was waiting for bags. Strange when there's a 2 hour+ delay that all the bags weren't there? Then waiting for paperwork followed by the part they needed was incorrect and a new one was on it's way from the hanger.. Finally departed 1 hour plus later. The plane was an old cattle car. Free TV didn't work right, so at did not recline (no it wasn't an exit row.). Most of the crew and gate attendants were rude and indifferent except for on flight attendant. The entire row of seats didn't recline at all. She was very apologetic and acknowledged it was uncomfortable especially on a 5+hour flight. She did offer us something to eat, blankets earbud. Still my back was killing me upon arrival at Phoenix. JEt Blue. Get your act together. This is unacceptable."

Cons: "The flight was delayed 6hrs 30 mins and changed departure gate twice. At no point was there a gate change announcement overhead (there were gate change announcements made for flights to Bermuda, Boston and San Francisco). During the boarding process many people stood and went in before their group was called, one agent noticed it and told the agent checking the boarding passes “all of these people are group A?” To which the other agent replied: “no, but I can’t do anything about it”. If there are group assignments, they need to honor that, as some people pay to board earlier."

Pros: "Cabin crew were great at looking after us and we had plenty of legroom in coach!"

Pros: "The crew was great, and so was a JetBlue pilot dead-heading in the seat next to me. I liked the space in the MoreSpace seat I paid for. I relieved that the upgrade seat came with boarding in the first group. Some airlines you pay for the seat, but you're still group 3 or 4 and, meaning all sorts of anxiety about the most miserable part of any flight, the dreaded fight for the overhead bins, wondering it you'll have to check the bag and then wait for it at the destination. Thank you for removing that."

Cons: "I never got the opportunity to fly because I was stuck in unusual traffic in a tunnel for over an hour just minutes from the Boston airport. I was later told there was a fire. I called the 1-800-JETBLUE number and I explained that the situation. The agent said that there would be a $75 change fee and at 4:47 pm there were no more flights out that night and that I would also be charged the fare differential the following day. I quickly went on line and found a deep discounted fare on United for $56! When I got to the airport there were several other people with the same situation. Not a enough agents on staff and no concern that I might miss my new flight on United. Thank Gid I acted fast and got another flight that evening or I would have needed to spend the night in the airport like a woman and her mother traveling to San Jose! Need more professionalism !"

Cons: "I was delayed half a dozen times, only to be canceled. Rescheduled on a flight that was scheduled to depart two hours before the original flight. Rescheduled after an hour hold. That flight was delayed the following day. Was diverted to Baltimore only to find out only some of us on our flight are getting out by a rude agent. Then no information at all. Had to run to catch an amtrak. Later found out if I stayed I would have stayed another 13 hours in Baltimore. Missed work and had no one home to take care of my family. Oh, and travel insurance will not cover anything. The plane itself was falling apart. Seat was broken and dirty. Everyones lights were broken and it smelled."

Cons: "Our flight was delayed three hours because of air conditioning malfunctioning on the plane. We sat on the tarmac for almost two and a half hours, and it must have been around 85 degrees on the plane. There was a lot of miscommunication about whether we would be switching aircraft. They finally told us to deplane because we were probably going to switch planes. After 15 minutes in the terminal, we reboarded the same plane. Got to LA 3 hours late so had to deal with horrible rush hour traffic, which we had hoped to avoid had we taken off on time."

Totally worth it but it made for an even harder time getting in at almost 630am PR time. 3) The turbulence was horrible. We were warned but so many customers were getting sick. Its was unpleasant to say the least."

Cons: "First thing, when i arrived to check my bags the lady giving help was useless, i was really stressed and i asked her some questions and she was answering upset, then i found a guy who help me to do my things there. In the boarding there wasn't any space for my things, my carry on bag and my personal item .. i was trying to get some help to one of the guys working inside the plane because the top compartment was full, when i ask him he just say that space is for all in the plane isn't suppose to be space for you there if some other guest took it.. I was really upset because i paid for my flight ticket and it was included my carry on and my personal item.. otherwise i know there is more people in the plane but is not like i brought more things than the ones i paid for... if you don't have capacity for all the guest you should say it before... The flight was delayed with an hour.."

Cons: "I didn't choose a seat originally. When I checked in online the only seats left were the extra space seats. I had to pay $50. Also I was in the first row so I could not put my bag under the seat in front of me."

On top of that when we landed back in NY I heard my stroller get tossed and discovered when I got home it was broke. So upset!!!"

They were hesitant in providing food vouchers for us when our original flight that was supposed to leave early in the morning (6:30am), now left at (5:59pm)."

Pros: "When I sat into my comfortable seat with its amazing leg room, I asked the woman next to me if she had flown Jet Blue previously. She replied that it is now her favorite airline. At the end of the trip I agreed that it is a distinctly different and great airline. My complaint is that I have to travel from NE Wisconsin to Chicago in order to use Jet Blue. When are you coming to MKE? The way the food and drink orders were handled worked well, and the selections were amazing! Needless to say, the media offered was wonderful."

Far and away the worst aspect of this flight, though, was the ticket counter personnel, timing, process-boundness. A. the counter did not open until 0930 for an 1130 flight....you require me to be present 2 hours prior to takeoff, yet your people are not available to service B. the woman at the counter forced me to check luggage that I have carried onboard aircraft all over the world with no flack from anybody, my protestations notwithstanding C. she then explained that our checked luggage could and would not be checked through to our final destination and when I protested that I had had no such issues coming east and could not understand why we were having this conversation, she referred me to "policy." Malarkey. Want to hear something funny? The bags ended up being checked all the way, making my departure from the secure area to claim my bags at JFK pointless, and necessitating my submitting to security lines and scrutiny once again. As I said to my wife at the time of this debacle, if Aer Lingus is the only airline flying US-UK and a rowboat is my only alternative, please pass me the oars."

"This was the Delta Shuttle flight (operated by Republic Airways (therefore not a mainline flight)). The crew was exceptional in expediting boarding, accommodating customers, and politely dealing with “difficult” passengers (don’t be that passenger - it’s a 40 minute flight). Great flight overall."

Pros: "Got to London on-time (early, actually) and safely. The in flight meal was okay. The leg room in comfort plus was great, the mobile app was awesome, and the staff (check-in, gate, cabin and flight deck) were professional and friendly all around."
Cons: "The leg room was great, but as a broad-shouldered guy, the width of the seat was miserable. Unfortunately, the Delta 767 doesn't offer any upgrade for a wider seat beyond Delta One, and my employer won't spring for that. Too bad there isn't a premium economy option. Also, the entertainment unit in the seat next to mine malfunctioned, which you wouldn't think would impact me that much except that because it was "seeing" touches randomly throughout the flight, the screen would turn on, off, brighter, dimmer, play random stuff, and just generally be as annoying as possible to everyone nearby throughout an overnight flight."

Cons: "Over an hour delay before boarding due to supposedly bad weather. Because flight was overbooked they were offering $400 gift card to change to standby on another flight. If you didn’t make that flight (evening), you’d be confirmed on a flight the following morning with one stop in Detroit (we booked a nonstop to Chicago). Uh, no thanks. Then to top it off, we’ve landed and been told that it will be at least an hour before we can deplane due to no availability at the gate (it’s 1145 pm right now). All this plus their new policy of not allowing us to select our seats because we bought the cheapest tickets. Really Delta? You go ahead and cater to the rich and I’ll choose to fly with another airline."

Cons: "Tray table was broken, I was downgraded from Comfort plus to main cabin after a plane swap with no mention by anyone and no compensation. Flight was delayed 45 minutes because a flight attendant was running late and then to top it off, at the end of. The flight the attendants blocked anyone fromaim cabin from leaving until all of first class had departed, even when no one was coming they still Blocked it off. This is a practice I have never seen on delta and haven't seen in aviation in almost 20 years in the US"

Cons: "I could see on the Fly Delta app that I had been placed in seat 10B, but neither the app nor my boarding pass gave me a group to board with, so I assumed that I needed to board with group 3, which necessitated gate-checking my rollerboard bag. Only when I approached the gate to board did I notice on the info screen that I had been "upgraded" to Comfort + and granted boarding with the Sky Priority group. I wish this had been clearer so I could have avoided waiting to board and gate-checking my bag. Minor inconvenience but room for improvement on Delta's part."

Cons: "Don't like how you don't get your seat assignment until you get to the gate. I was given the window seat in the very last row for a 6 hour flight, quite uncomfortable. I could've booked another airline for a similar price and picked the seat i wanted at booking. They ran out of food choices by the time they got to the last row, so we were given whatever was left. Delayed because one of the bathroom doors wasn't working, 30 min later still wasn't fixed and ultimately they decided to go without it."

We paid extra for the convenience of a direct flight Our flight was changed without notification to a connecting flight that was leaving 10 minutes earlier and arriving 2 hours later. Due to malfunction with the kiosk and not a sufficient amount of agents at check in, we missed our flight by 4 minutes. The gate agent seemed to enjoy telling us, with our 10 month old baby, that we were too late. Our baggage, including car seat, had been loaded on the plane. We were reassigned to a flight the following morning. We missed a full day with family, had to travel back home without a car seat and return to the airport the following day. I was shocked and disappointed that not single Delta agent was accommodating or remotely helpful while we were at the airport. I've never had a problem with Delta before. We travel on regularly and would like to continue using Delta. I would like a voucher for my next Delta trip."

Pros: "The Delta people were solicitous, efficient and brilliant the whole way through. We had not a bit of trouble. Our first class seats were comfortable, but with the supplied blanket, pillow and poor air conditioning it was a hot flight. The cabin personnel were wonderful as per usual, and my tasty gin and tonic soothed any discontent. I wish I could fly this way all the time!"
Cons: "The private contractor handling wheelchair assistance was terrible. A Delta employee theorized that they do not pay enough to attract and retain personnel. Our pre-arranged chair was not there, multiple calls by our Delta assistant finally got us a ride to the chair holding area, but after about 45 minutes we gave up and shuffled off to the security area on foot. Thank goodness my hubby is mobile enough for that to have been an option. When we abandoned our wait we were still 4th in line for an attendant to push the chair. If Delta has any responsibility in this it would be in the retention and compensation for the private contractor."

Pros: "Accident on way to airport, so I showed up to check bags 45 minutes before flight time. They said they couldn't get the bag to the plane..in 45 minutes? So, they put on the next flight... 6 hours later. Said I could fly without the bag... uh, no thanks. They would not look for alternatives without charging me more. Flight attendants were crabby, otherwise everything was fine. I flew British Airways a few months ago. Night and day. Seriously. Delta does not even approach having good service. There was no comparison to British Air--- Delta is not in the same league."

Cons: "We booked with Delta, but were put on Air France. Even though we had our boarding passes in hand we had to wait in long, slow line for baggage tags because they would not print from kiosk. There was minimal Air France staff on duty serving thousands of passengers during busy season (July). While the lines grew larger, the staff was reduced from 4 to 2. Another long, slow line for customs, another long slow line for security=Charles De Gaulle airport was awful. We arrived at the airport 4 hours before our departure time and got to our boarding gate with no time to spare."

Cons: "My wife was told she could not board our flight from Boston to Paris because her passport was expired, even though it was not expired. We were told that in Europe passports cannot expire within 3 months of your departure. However, Delta never let us know about this rule until we literally were boarding the plane. How they could not make us aware of this until we were boarding the airplane is unbelievable and unacceptable. This has ruined our vacation which has been in planning for the last six months."

The customer service changed my flight to go to Dallas/Fort Worth TX then fly to Narita Japan next day. They gave me vouchers for hotel stay and meal ($12) which are absolutely minimal compensation after all this headaches. They were unable to upgrade my seat since they’re full. Now the flight to Narita is 2 hour delay and they have changed the gate at least twice. I’m worried if I can get on the next connecting flight to Sapporo due to this delayed schedule. I feel like this whole trip is ruined because the delayed flight from Philadelphia to Chicago. This has been my worst and the most ridiculous flight experience ever. I don’t think I ever want to fly with American Airlines in the future."

Cons: "The pilot arrived late because he went for a Tim Horton's coffee (I know that because I was in first row and I heard the flight attendants talking about that). Then, after he finally arrived with a tray full of coffees, there was an issue with the jet's computer and had to reset it and we had to wait even more. When we finally arrived, our Gate was taken by other plane already and we had to wait (more) for the first one to be available for us. Then, when we finally got our Gate, there was another issue, now with the "finger". They weren't able to move it and connect it to the plane to get off of it. So we had to wait AGAIN. And finally as soon as we got off the plane, they were supposed to give us our carry ons on the aisle (Because it was a small plane CR700) , but again, we had to wait almost 10 minutes so that they could send the luggage... To make things worse, I had a first class ticket and I couldn't get the perks of it at the airport. Because they said I wasn't flying in an international flight. Come on?! Canada->USA->Mexico is not International??? You lost me AA."

Cons: "Before we boarded I listened to a couple described how they always went ahead in line at boarding because no one ever stopped them. They described how they waited until group 3 was called and then went right through. While we were waiting, we watched them do it again. If you need to cram people into tiny spaces to be profitable, then you cannot allow them to make it worse by putting back their seats. I spent 90 minutes with a seat back jammed into my chest. We were ignored when handing out snacks, probably because we were invisible behind the seats pushed in our faces. It was one of the most miserable flights I’ve experienced."

Cons: "As a handicaped disabled not able to walk and should be using a wheel chair,as I know from my many previous travels with other companies like lufthanza, klm..etc, I used to be the first traveller to go to the air craft when loading it to take off and the last one who would be leaving it after landing. Even when going through the check and security points I used to go in a special route especially for the handicaped but going with all other normal travelers lines with such amount of time waiting and crowdness is completely inconvenient. what happened through the trip was quit different , going with the travelers or after when they are boarding the craft make it very hard and time consuming , Wish you take care of it, as it's a very important handicaped service. I had to book a hotel nearby LAX just so I could somewhere to sleep for the night. My luggage made it to Chicago safely, but I didn’t at least not with American Airlines. It took them an hour to tell us that they reassigned the pilot to another flight, not only that when it was delayed the first initial time (40 minute delay) about ten minutes before we were supposed to board they tell us that the flight attendant crew is going to take 30 minutes to get to the gate. Not only but those poor airline service staff were completely unaware of all these changes! They had to find out from the passengers what was going on. Honestly I will never fly with American Airlines ever again!!!"

On July the flight was schedule for 9...pm then delayed for two hours because of a fire, other passengers said, in London. At around 11pm, we were asked to line up for boarding. We stayed on line for an hour and fnally to be told the flight was cancelled. We were treated less than animals by British Airway. No ACCOMODATION!!!!!!!! No ACCOMODATION!!!!!!! We slept on benches at the airport. To be fair to you, I will not recommend British Airway to anyone."

Cons: "Left Newark 2 hours late which mean missing connections in Chicago by 20 minutes. From that point on American was inept in getting me to MSP."

We were unable to board our flight at the Philadelphia airport because when we arrived (almost 2 hours before our flight) the ticket counter was already closed for the evening. No one from American Airlines could help us. We were left stranded at the ticket counter until it reopened at 3:15 am. We are very disappointed and disgusted with the poor service we received from American Airlines. After hearing multiple horror stories from others, it is safe to say we will never fly that airline again."

Pros: "Good is that they sent you to Finnair to correct AA created break in service...why would they pay for it? AA is just an operator per itinerary! Why would you care if ppl get help with connections!"
Cons: "Checked in online on Finnair and automatically for the second connecting flight...and not the first -AA. So, had to check-in again for the first flight at the terminal. Board passes were printed 2 out of 3 by AA and both had errors - wrong gate for the first flight and no boarding info for the second connecting flight - just blank! AA did not provide connecting info until I found an unoccupied employee at the terminal and customer service lines were about 20 people in 2 locations I went to. The connecting info should be in the itinerary they said at customer service...nope, it was not there either!"

Cons: "The gate agent made us starting in boarding group 6 out of 9 to check sizes of bags in the size box and she got into a verbal fight with another passenger. One guy told her she could board but the gate agent said no it didn't fit and she couldn't board. Then the agent claimed she had to gate check her bag and claimed there were no overhead spaces left. So everyone after that had to gate check. When I boarded there were at least 8 empty bins and I had not even gotten to my seat in row 22. The gate agent lied and slowed down the entire boarding process because she want to win a fight and show dominance over a passenger."

Cons: "A passenger caused a delay in security, and as I'm rushing for the gate, the agent closed the door and told me I couldn't board. She then marked me as a no-show, while she was standing right next front of her. I had to spend the next 4 hrs on the phone, trying to get my tickets sorted out. Then, upon arriving at Heathrow,... No luggage. They told me it was still in Chicago. Upon finally receiving my bags, I find them full of sawdust and sand, and several items damaged. I will NEVER fly American Airlines again, and I will highly recommend to my friends and family to avoid them like them plague. Horrible service! Nothing but a run-around and not once did the agents apologise, even after admitting that my problems on this journey were due to a mistake made by one of their agents."

Pros: "We boarded on time and we departed on time. We got into Chicago 30 minutes early. We recently acquired a AA credit card and we got 2 checked bags free and priority boarding (Group 5). In today's world your need priority boarding of some sort on AA or you risk not being able to store you bags in the overhead and may have to get it checked free to your final destination. Also, one of our checked bags had a painting in it that we purchased and the bag and painting arrived unharmed. Good job by AA baggage handlers."
Cons: "Cramped seating. Airlines seem to be moving seats closer together to be able to hold more passengers."

Pros: "The flight was quite emty and instead of packing everyone in the same area, we all had a row for ourselves which was very enjoyable. Flight crew was very nice"
Cons: "The interview by a British Airway agent before the flight. I have been to the USA many times and I totally understand this type of interview, but the agent was aggressive, asking questions that were totally irrelevant. She did not even care about why I was going to the USA or where I was staying. Se was rude and I was really unpleased by her attitude saying it was British Airways way off doing interviews. Again I have had many interviews before flying to the USA, never been a bad exerience before"

Pros: "I like the cookies. Any flight that safely lands is a good flight. I didn't have to hear the inflight "entertainment". There was room for my backpack, and I was in group 6 on a nearly full flight."
Cons: "I hate having media flashed in my face. The srewardesses misses me when serving beverages, which is hard to imagine, and rarely happens. We had a particularly bumpy landing. I've flown a fair amount, and I thought our bouncing and jostling was unusual, but then weather is unpredictable - still... I've seen navy pilots stick landings of small planes in worse weather."

Pros: "Boarding and flight were on time."

Pros: "The complementary wine was nice. The raspberry sponge cake was nice. Nice options for entertainment."
Cons: "No one in the entire airport knew what flight I was talking about when I told them it was Iberia + flight number. People were saying I must have the wrong airport. I almost missed my flight because of this. Everything was through American airlines. It would have been nice to know this going in. Also it was tough doing transfers because once again, none of the departure screens refer to "Iberia flights." It was also tough to check-in. Instructions were not clear in terms of the booking number to use. The Iberia app had a lot of usability problems. The seats are too cramped. I'd have to take out a loan to be able to afford business class or 1st class. It's absolutely horrible for everyone in coach. Especially for long flights as this one. The food was subpar, but that is to be expected in my opinion. Would have been nice to offer complementary headphones. I wasn't able to utilize the entertainment because my headphones are blue tooth. Upon arrival, we had to sit on the tarmac for 20 minutes because there was another airplane in our spot."

Cons: "Check in staff was unprepared for volume of people. When asking an American Airlines agent if I could use the priority check in because I had priority seating I was told no. I was informed by a customer going that way that I indeed could. When I got in line for the priority check in, the agent looked over and very loudly said that I was in the wrong check in area. Given the volume at which it was said to me I felt embarrassed, and was upset at the fact that I then had to respond that I indeed was in the correct location."

Cons: "My flight was delayed 4 times from Columbus to Chicago due to an ATC issue in Chicago. On the 4th delay announcement I had to rebook my international flight for the following day because my connection was leaving Chicago while I was still in Columbus. I had to rebook and get a hotel for the night on my own expense since American Airlines won't pay if it is weather related even though the weather was not the issue, rather air traffic control. The plane we got the next day was a smaller uncomfortable plane with zero entertainment and a crew that projected they would rather be anywhere else. I don't blame them, my experiences with American Airlines had been progressively getting worse."

Pros: "Despite the boarding process, the on-flight crew was nice. The seats were comfortable. Also, I like the in-plane sockets and entertainment screens."
Cons: "When preparing to board, the two clerks at the gate were very rude. I had a carry-on suitcase, a laptop bag, and a small camera bag. They wouldn't let me board, claiming that my camera bag was a third item that I couldn't have. They then tried to force me to check the suitcase which i explained that I did not want to do, before giving me the chance to place the camera bag in the suitcase (which it fit just fine). They were not understanding or friendly and really made me question my decision of flying with American Airlines."

Pros: "Flight crew was excellent."
Cons: "We booked flights through British Airways but flew American Airlines. The check in process was a stressful mess: we were forced to stand in long customer service lines both on our first flight from LAX to Chicago and again during our very short layover in Chicago to Dublin to ensure that our bags were checked all the way to our final destination. Very stressful, and it didn't help that the gate crew was extremely rude and unprofessional. It is very inconvenient that we could not choose our seats beforehand."

Pros: "Great attendants. Easy ride. Easy take off, easy landing."
Cons: "We departed late due to something going on in the runway. No free wifi option."

Cons: "They had no record of this portion of my trip, after a few people checked they found the Chicago to Ammon part so they added me onto a flight from Washington to Chicago. All should of went well from there but they sent me to the wrong gate. Luckily I just made it to the correct gate for boarding. Upon arriving at Chicago there was no one available to provide information on how to get to Royal Jordanian gates. Also on my AA portion of my flight coming into The U S in New York the flight was cancelled and I was told the next flight Available was next day (18hr delay) at the other NY airport. I had to have someone drive from D.C. (My destination) to pick me up"

Pros: "The crew was friendly and did their best, the flight took off my schedule"
Cons: "They didn't have individual tvs which was disappointing but showed three movies instead on screens. They announced the movies being shown on the flight at the beginning and then proceeded to show three completely different things, some just being random tv shows. The whole middle section of the plan had static in their headphones so they were unable to watch the movies. The crew was friendly but seemed very confused as if it was their first time working together. Announcements were choppy And confusing. They also asked me to pay 190 dollars extra to sit with my husband. Not the best experience"

Pros: "Boarding was a mess - there were no announcements about boarding and the gate agent did nothing to promote order in the gate area. Thank goodness for the new planes on this route - the old planes with the blue "leather" seats were so overdue to be retired. Onboard entertainment was great and every seat had a USB port and AC outlet. Smoothest landing ever, I couldn't even tell when the wheels hit the pavement! It was also the first time I recall a female captain on American - maybe the smooth landing wasn't such a coincidence :)"

Pros: "The staff were amazing. Very accommodating and with great dispositions. Boarding was easy."
Cons: "For an international flight the seats were extremely tiny and the plane itself only had a few tv screens posted in the middle of the plane so everyone had to watch the same thing."

Pros: "3 hrs delay Small plaine No entertainment"

Cons: "While boarding the plane an AA employee actually grabbed the 1/4 full gym bag out of my boyfriend's hands and said he had to check it (even though it had fit under his seat next to his backpack on our previous American Airlines flight). Boarded and saw there was still plenty of open overhead bin space. Had to wait 30 extra minutes at our destination to claim his unnecessarily checked bag. This is on top of poor customer service from the gate agents and a long delay on our outbound flight. Will not choose to fly American Airlines in the future"

Pros: "I was bumped from my flight, put on a later one which was delayed and I missed my connecting flight which had to be rebooked. I was not notified before arriving at the airport so I waited there for 4 hours. As a result, I missed dinner plans at my destination."

The skinny ppl next 2 me were cramped and u could barely lean back w/of feeling bad 4 ppl bhind u. It was only a 2hr flight nyc -chi-town but I had the worse crick! The snacks were 1/2 empty, ther was no free wifi or movies @ all. & The tv channel didn't change."

Cons: "Flight was very late. Boarding is rediculous. They load from the front of the plane and people go to the back looking for overhead storage and then try to more forward again while the people with seats in the back are coming in."

Pros: "I had a blood coat on my leg 2 months before my flight and the pain and swelling sometimes were unbearable, United was extremely accommodating, kind and courteous from the check in all the way to helping me retrieve my luggage in a wheel chair and that alone ease my pain, not having to do any extra effort was a huge relief on my legs. Definitely booking again with United and Kayak"
Cons: "TSA were less than basic, making me go up and down twice trough two different metal detectors and a body scan machine, then asking me to put both my hands above my head while standing up in the body scanner, a guy in a wheel chair who could only stand with a cane, these guys are barbaric but that's not the airlines fault."

Pros: "I arrived safe and sound. A United ticket clerk at Chicago O'Hare was super nice but didn't really help my situation. I appreciated her effort and warm demeanor."
Cons: "After booking the flight I noticed that there was a 25 minute window between the time my flight was scheduled to land in my connecting city and the departure time of my connecting flight. Aware that most airline close the gate door and the flight 10 to 15 minutes before take off and the fact that it takes about 15 minutes to get off a flight after the aircraft door open, I was sure that this would be a problem. Also if I then had to change terminals that would be another 20 minutes. Long story short, I thought this was poor customer service on United's side. I called united the day before my flight and customer service rep assured me that it would be the same terminal and that these times are customary on the part of United. I then also mentioned this at the gate as well and talked to a very kind Flight Attendant. Everyone worked to put me at easy about this. My flight left 20 minutes late but made the time up while in the air. We landed I got off the flight in record time and asked a gate attendant to check my flight status. The flight and gate had been closed. They then had be go talk with a very kind woman at the customer service desk. She then moved me to a AA flight. She said "now the fate closes in 10 minutes so you probably won't make it but run". "You've got to be kidding me" i thought but she was so nice so I didn't question it... But I RAN!!! I didn't make it and AA customer service rep put me on the last flight out. I say in the airport for an extra 4 hours and ate lots of food I'm sure is slowly killing me as we speak. Happy to be safe and at home."

Pros: "Checking in at ticket counter was easy, service was accomdating for mom w disability. Love the option abt free ck bag for carryon. Very happy with change of flight option when original lay over was canceled. Love the text message update"

Cons: "Flight was delayed which would cause me to miss my connecting flight. The agent on the phone changed my itinerary but sent me to the wrong airport. By the time I got there, there wasn't any other flights that I could take so I ended up having to take a connecting flight the next day. I wanted a hotel voucher but was sent running around to no avail. There was no compensation of any sort and the agents were helpless"

Pros: "I had to cancel the flight but they did not help me to make another reservation without charging $200 extra even thou I had dr. letter."
