Pros: "First time flying on Qatar and must say that the crew was excellent. One of the best crews I have ever flown in the last 22 years of New York - India sector. Special mention for HAIFA my hostess for flight QR702 on April 12th. She was the best hostess I have ever had!"
Cons: "The food wasn’t bad but since I flew Etihad in July 2017 from New York to Abu Dhabi to Mumbai and back my memories were fresh and Egihad’s food was definitely a notch higher."

Cons: "Even though we landed in Doha before our connection left ( barely-20 min)on Qatar airways, they would not hold the connecting flight for the 7 of us who were connecting. This was extremely disappointing as we then lost a full 8 hours of our first day arrival. If they schedule you for a 45 minute connecting flight, I suggest you book a later one. Our flight from NYC left on time but was 20 min late landing. Their only compensation to us all was use of the airport lounge in Doha ( quite nice with free food wine and showers, but would rather have had the extra day in Bali."

It is now one week after my flight and my luggage is still not with me. I have spend lots of money and written 3 LONG mails to Qatar Customer Service - some have been teplied with a ”we will get back to You” note - but nobody has gotten back to me so far. Not 5 Stars. Actually One star is too good a Grade for this complete service failure from A-Z."

Cons: "Reading light wasn't aimed properly, and there was nowhere to put anything because of it being an exit row behind a bulkhead. That meant, that I had to hold anything I wanted during take-off, and landing, and the entertainment system had to be stowed during those times as well, so I couldn't even listen to music as the only controls were the touchscreen."

Cons: "Very hard to believe that Qatar is described as a "world-class airline". I took a total of 4 flights on Qatar Airways in a 2-week span. First flight was from New York to Doha (not bad). Second flight was from Doha to Nairobi (not bad). Third flight was from Nairobi to Doha (not bad) and the fourth and final flight was from Doha to New York (unbearable!!!) My first issue with the Qatar Airways was a checked parcel not arriving at my destination. When we reached Nairobi, I was told my parcel that I had checked in New York, was still in New York. It was a card board tube of materials required for a work initiative at a Kenyan hospital. Returning to Nairobi airport several days later created a hassle that I won't soon forget! Now to describe the journey back to the United States. The flight from Doha to New York is the flight I want to focus on. The flight was extremely crowded and the conditions were absolutely deplorable! I cannot fathom how a self-proclaimed "world-class airline" could pack a plane that full and compound that with a 14 hour flight! I felt so badly for the airline staff. They were stretched so thin that they couldn't accommodate the passengers. There was garbage all over the plane and the bathrooms were filthy; garbage cans overflowing with waste and dirty diapers. There was an exceptionally high number of infants and children on this flight. I love children. I have 3 children myself. I felt terribly for the children AND adults on this flight because everyone was absolutely miserable. I never thought it could be possible for there to be 14+ hours of crying babies and children. It was absolutely maddening. The airline staff were so busy that they couldn't even assist with the babies and children which I found to be so completely unconventional for any airline, especially one of this alleged caliber. I do feel that there should be a separate section of planes for infants and children so that the crying etc can be confined to one area and passengers aren't exposed to what we were exposed to. The man behind me verbalized what I had been feeling when he stated "If I could, I would jump off of this plane. This is torture". The purpose of my trip was a global health mission to Kenya for a hospital to hospital partnership. Other team members in my group requested an upgrade and offered to pay cash. We were all appalled to be denied. The Qatar Airline staff couldn't process the upgrade and we still can't understand why. Seems a shame for the airline to have lost all that potential profit. For me, this was a return trip (I had been there in March 2015). Last year I flew Swiss Air and Brussels Air where I had much more enjoyable flights without any incidents. I will be notifying all of my friend, relatives, and colleagues of this nightmare experience and will certainly advise them against flying Qatar Airways."

After paying more than twice the coach fare, we expect something better than a ham sandwich on a coast to coast flight."

A very special treat that we got two snacks each which were very much appreciated as it was an early morning flight and we didn't get a chance to get breakfasts."

The exit row seating does help, but the seats didn't recline making it a bit more uncomfortable."

She evidently was afraid to fly and wanted to get off the plane. The attendants were very kind to her, spent time with her and informed the pilot. The pilot made several comments using her name making sure she knew every time we were about to run into some turbulence. I thought that was very kind."

It was delayed in 30 min increments, which made it hard to do anything else around the airport since I was constantly in a state of "about to board." A frustrating experience. Overall terrible gate agents and terrible set up. Flight crew was great though."

Since the hub system used by Delta required me to go north in order to go south, Delta decided to charge me $40 for my luggage. If I had flown directly to GDL there would have been no charge. But since I had to go through ATL, I added hours of travel and additional fees."

Pros: "My Delta flight from Salt Lake to Orlando was the dreaded redeye. Flight was packed, no empty seats. I had a middle row seat. But the plane was new and the seats were comfortable. The flight arrived early.I slept or tried to sleep the entire flight. No complaints."

Cons: "This flight was bad from the beginning. We tried to check in and immediately received an error msg stating there was a mis connection due to a delay on the cancun to atl flight. This made no sense bc the cancun to atl flight left on time. We landed 6 minutes late but had already been rebooked to a later flight to LGA. I'm also disappointed delta even allowed us to book on the original flight because there was no way we could have made that connection!! We arrived at our terminal 20 mins prior to boarding for the rebooked flight. It took us approx 2 hrs to get through customs and security in Atlanta."

Cons: "Pretty big delay before departure, ended up in very stressful conditions for the rest of the trip. It became pretty obvious that we were cutting very close to the boarding time for our next flight (arrival scheduled for 4:05 pm and our flight to Chicago barding on 4:20 pm). One of the flight attendants kindly offered us to move up to the front seats of the plane on the last 15 minutes of the flight (with our luggage) so that we can exit as soon as possible. We moved (per his suggestions) and we were treated rudely by the young lady attendant of the Business Class. We explained that we moved after the suggestion of their other flying attendant. She called her supervisor on us, who in return, rudely, arrogantly and loudly started to berate us on how we "dared" to move ourselves to the Business class. After explaining the whole story again and showing her the tickets, she allowed us to stay to those seats for the last 10 minutes of the flight. We asked if an airport cart could be called to transfer us to the next gate, and they said no. We asked for information on the gate for Chicago and they did not provide one. Unfortunately, the plane landed very far from the gates. We had to enter the airport bus, which traveled for about 15 minutes before we got on a gate. There, we faced about 35 minutes of passport procedures and waiting lines. At that point, 5 minutes before our plane for Chicago was supposed to take off, we asked the passport pre-check officer what we should do (we assumed we would be missing the plane at that point) and he told us very rudely "When you REALLY miss your plane, then come back and ask me"!!!!!!!!! Then we passed through passport check and we were told to run to our gate (which by that time was no longer showing on the computer screen, and we knew about the changed number, ONLY because KAYAK sent the update to us-THANK YOU!!!). We ran for about 12 minutes. We arrived at our gate late by about 25 minutes after our flight was supposed to leave. There we were asked why we were running and when we told the guy who screened our boarding passes he responded "Well, running is good for your health..."!!!!! At that point I would have liked to give him a piece of my mind...We were told by the same guy that due to airport security issues, Frankfurt airport had so many delays in the last couple of weeks that planes know to wait for the late passengers. Couldn't someone have told us that before? We have NEVER been treated so poorly by an airline and we will NOT fly with them again. The LUFTHANSA customer service was terrible. We have not encountered such arrogance and lack of information for many years...Shame on them! AND we were not the only Americans running. There were families with little children and older people, etc etc, just because the Lufthansa attendants and ground crew did not feel like giving us the information we needed!!!"

I will never fly with Lufthansa internationally again.not because of the crew, because their head office insists on squeezing every inch out of their planes without regard for passenger comfort."

The lady at the checking counter found no evidence of my phone call and reservation, and had to pay the full price."

Cons: "So, the flight to Frankfurt never happened because of whatever happened with British Airways on 05/27/2017. We waited without information in the airport for over 6 hours and then were told to exit after which it took another 3 to 4 hours to get out of the airport. We were told to find a hotel with no help or voucher - nothing was showing available under $1000 a night, save our receipts for any food we might have, rebook our flight. As we were leaving the airport, we were given water, nothing before that. We received information as we were leaving the airport about our rights for recompense. Fortunately, a Heathrow staff member helped us with finding a hotel that cost about $400. We never were able to get to Frankfurt to see our family there and had to book train tickets to Paris to meet our hotel reservation there two days later. It was a bad situation, handled in a way that caused confusion, fear and unhealthy situations of standing for long periods and I will not be doing business with British Airways in future."

This last flight I missed my connection altogether and had to take a shuttle home, then catch a ride back to the airport to pick up my luggage and then get my car to drive home. Not enough overhead storage for the carry-on bags because passengers get the luggage check tag but brought the carry-on onboard anyway."

The leg room was very short with my knees nearly touching the back of the seat in front of me. When i put my tray down, it actually rested on my knees, and was not level because it pitched up due to longer legs (and I'm only 5'9). This was a long haul, 8 hour flight. I've never beeñ so uncomfortable on a flight in my life, and have never counted the minutes I could get out. Seemed obvuous that meal service had taken a hit when corporate looked for places to cut expenses, its one of the lower quality meals. If compared with an international carrier, the food was really sub par. Mostly really friendly crew members, unfortunately, one who really didnt seem to enjoy the job any longer."

The salad I was given was brown and wilted, and while the cabin attendants were kind enough to give me two salad that were in better shape (after meal service), I just think that quality control should have prevented a inedible salad from being served in the first place. I am also extremely opposed to American Airlines Transatlantic luggage fees. Since I was moving abroad rather than taking a short trip, I was not pleased about paying 100 USD for a second bag on top of an already expensive flight."
