Cons: "We had a specific situation on our flight tonight that was especially disruptive. Shortly after take-off, my fiancé who was traveling with me, felt the teenager (most likely a minor) directly behind him pushing his seat. My fiancé turned around to ask her to stop. Rather than apologizing and stopping, the teenager immediately began complaining about how my fiancé was encroaching on her space. My fiancé replied that it was well within his rights to lean his seat back. The teenager responded with further complaints. Her comments were out of line and rude. It was clear that she was not satisfied with my fiancé having his seat leaning back. My fiancé eventually put his seat back, and the teenager stopped complaining. We believed that the situation had been resolved, but apparently the teenager was not satisfied. Instead, she went to a flight attendant and lodged a complaint against my fiancé. Rather than hear our side, the flight attendant immediately asked us to move to a different seat. We were forced to move, against our will, to two separate middle seats further forward in the plane. We no longer were able to sit next to each other for the remaining five hours of the flight. And this was all because one particular teenager did not want my fiancé to put his seat back, which he is certainly allowed to do. Overall, the situation was handled poorly. We paid to sit together on a flight, but due to one other passenger's attitude, we were forced to sit in seats that we did not choose apart from one another. The flight attendant should have at least heard our side of the story and offered us an alternative. Instead, we were forced to accommodate another passenger who was in the wrong. Not to mention, throughout this entire process - which lasted about 30 minutes - I was not able to use the GoGo Inflight Internet Package I had just paid for. That was money wasted. The experience was embarrassing, disruptive, and awkward. We love Alaska Airlines, and we are usually pleased with their customer service. However, tonight, the customer service we received did not meet our needs; instead the flight attendant exacerbated the situation and we left our flight feeling frazzled, angry and disappointed."

Since American partners with Alaskan Airlines, American should have changed my reservations with regards to Alaska Airlines, but they failed to do that. I stood at the Alaskan Airlines counter as the plane left the gate with our empty seats because there was not a ticket. American Airlines did not change a reservation successfully and so although we had boarding passes with our names and seats and the flight number, the plane left without us. I was stranded and Seattle airport at midnight with a child and an infant with one diaper and one bottle left and it was a terrible experience with American Airlines. I do not recommend flying American they cannot get it together when problems happen with delays."

Cons: "Our flights were all cancelled or delayed and they gave us nothing to apologize. We lost 2 whole days of vacation and the cost of our rooms. All of the customer service people were rude. One lady in particular was so rude I had to walk away from the desk. The movie on the plane skipped and was unwatchable. I hate this airline and would pay more to fly another one."
Cons: "The flight was delayed for almost 5 hours and then cancelled. This delayed my trip with family to Missouri and inconvenienced many people. On top of that, due to cancellation had to stay in hotel without my luggage and my pills that I have to take daily. Worst experience ever!! I need compensation for all this mess!!!!"
Pros: "It was a quiet and smooth ride."
Cons: "The flight was over one hour late in leaving and while I appreciate that is beyond the control of the flight crew, one steward was quite rude as we were quickly trying to board as she prioritized serving the first class cabin rather than get us all on the plane. At the very least she could have used commonly acceptable language such as "please, thank you and excuse me" but rather chose to use "wait". As some of us where desperate to make a tight connection in SF, focusing on getting people on board and the plane off the ground should have been the crew focus."

I think charging for a carry on ridiculous. The cabin wasn’t clean. A brown fluid dropped from the in cabin baggage compartment on my clothes during the flight. Never again."

Online check in worked fine except that the boarding pass emailed to me had no barcode so I was rejected at TSA and I had to go to a kiosk to print out the boarding pass and get back in line. Why no barcode??? It says Boarding Pass on the image I received."

Cons: "The attendant at the gate was rude and trying to rush us through . Did not want to wait for me to get my boarding passes on the phone. She was agitated by the time it took to unlock my phone and get them shown."

Cons: "I do not like how they just roughly tossed your suitcase and belongings around things are very breakable that are in luggage and I was surprised that they were unable to put a tag on my suitcase that said I had fragile items in it I personally seen how they take the luggage and just throw it onto the luggage belt most of the time it's thrown and Landing upside down instead of right side up the way it is so roughly tossed around things can end up being broken"

Cons: "When we arrived at our destination we sat on the runway for nearly an hour before we could deplane, we were given an estimated wait time of 20-25min. This airline will also nickel and dime you for everything. Charged $40+ for carry on luggage or checked baggage and more if you dont add the luggage when you check in online, which makes the low fare completely irrelevant. Didn't even have free water on the plane, had to buy a $3 bottle. They also charge you $10 if you don't print your own boarding pass and $8 to pick your seat. Won't fly with them again."

It turns out it was due to turbulence, but it would have been nice to be reassured as I don't fly all that often. Other than that, everything else was perfect and I could not complain."

Pros: "I have severe back issues and wad unable to lift my carry on into the overhead bin. I asked one of the flight attendants for some assistance. And for lack of a better word or expression, she gave me what can only be described as "stank face." She rolled her eyes and actually let out an audible sigh before grabbing the bag from my hands and shoving it into the bin, then walked away without so much as a word. I attempted to thank her and got no response, she just turned and walked away. I can say with all honesty that i have never been treated so rudely on any other airline."

Cons: "Cramped seats, no amenities, charges for literally everything. Paying for the privilege of picking our seats wiped out any savings we had gained by picking this "budget" airline. Don't make our mistake."
Pros: "Crew is "funny" in that they make fun of their own airline and how cheap they. Baggage always beat me to the carousel. Despite terrible weather, pilots did great job of landing."
Cons: "Entice you with cheap airfare then charge an arm and a leg for EVERYTHING else. Ridiculous charge for carry-on and checked luggage, more than other airlines by far, and they allow less, ie. checked bag can't weigh more than 40 lbs. instead of the standard 50 lbs. No room on plane at all unless you pay extra for the big seat. Charge for you to choose a seat period. No free drinks or snacks. Charge for you to print boarding pass at airport. Basically you name it and they charge for it."

Pros: "The basic seats were fine and comfortable enough. I checked my bag and was surprised the fee was so high. The website wasn't clear on the rateswhen I purchased ticket. I had a large bag so I had to pay checked rates. Several people found out at the gate that they had to pay a lot there for a carry on."
Cons: "I didn't like that you set up your employees to be the bad guys and have to take the heat over DVD over fir the checked bag fee. Love the fee for carry one but the fact should be made known before the flight to the traveler gets to the airport about the fees."
Cons: "Unfriendly staff, unfriendly airline with innumerous arbitrary rules. They nickel and dime the customer for the slightest service items. Exorbitant fair increase for changing flight schedule. I am pretty sure that I will never ever use this airline again."

Cons: "This ticket and flying experience were a rip-off. I didn't know about this company before buying a ticket, but this is my only time flying with Spirit Airlines. They charged me $55 for a small carry-on - both ways, in addition to charging me for a seat on the plane! My original $190 ticket ended up being $320! They didn't even offer free water on the flight! The attendants did not greet me getting on or off the planes and the airport personnel was distracted at best (chewing gum and checking their cellphones). It was an appalling experience and will tell all my friends to NEVER choose this company. Thanks for reading my comments."

Cons: "I should bhave researched Spirit better. I always fly Alaska, but was sucked in by the low fare on Spirit. When I checked in and discovered the outrageous fee for a carry on bag I realized I could have flown Alaska cheaper. I've always been able to get an exit row on Alaska at no charge, however Spirit soaked me $20 for it. Then the flight was delayed 2 hours due to mechanical problems with the plane earlier in the day. The drinks on board were just as overpriced as everything else, however by this time I needed one! I dread my return flight on Spirit and will never fly them again."

Cons: "We missed our outgoing flight and rebooked a later one only to find out our flight back had been cancelled since we missed our first flight. even though we had already booked the flight back, paid for tickets and for baggage for that flight get, it had all been cancelled and there was nothing we could do about it."
Cons: "A late 4:06 pm Flight was cancelled after we already boarded. It took them from 6:30pm to 11.:45pm to re-book us for the next day. Stood in line for 5 hours to get a new ticket, 150+ passengers were sleeping in line they were so slow. Their employees lied several times to all of us. The passengers were all angry. Spirit was very uncaring. This is the worst service I have ever received in my life! I will never ever fly Spirit again! Please remove them from your list of airlines."
