We were at the airport at 4:30am because the flight was scheduled to depart at 6:05am we were lucky to be able to rebook for a flight SDQ-ATL DL576 for the same day hoping to make the connection ATL-IND. Unfotunately that flight was rerouted to Charlotte due to bad weather conditions with a delay of 3 hrs before it landed in ATL thus missing our connection to INDI and had to sleep in ATL and leave the next day to IND thus missing a meeting commitment that we had in IND. We should and expect to be compensated by Delta for this."

We need aggressive regulation of our airlines to prevent the unconscionable and humiliating way they treat economy passengers. It's not safe, healthy or humane to ask human beings to sit for hours in tiny spaces with very little air (on top of everything else, the plane was mercilessly hot the whole time). Next time I will choose a European carrier--even the discount Euro carriers are better than any US airline."

I checked back later and the app had me as number 7 on the standby list. I called Delta (wait time 3+ hours... my flight was in 3), and then the Delta app support where I was able to get through to someone. She told me that the ticket I purchased over a month in advance did not guarantee me a seat on the plane (???). She said that if I was bumped from the flight they would reschedule me for the next morning. She was pretty rude and made it seem like I had a 50/50 shot of getting on this plane. I rushed to the airport in hopes that I would be the first from Standby there, and the gate agent told me that I was fine and would board right after first class and be assigned a seat then. Great. Once I got my seat assignment, I board to find out there is someone else sitting in my seat...... They eventually called the desk and had her moved, but it was the weirdest boarding experience I've had.. and I've flown Spirit. These planes that Delta fly's are SO OLD. Both times I have flown Delta the "turbulence" has been so bad and cold air was blowing right on my the whole flight with no option to turn it off (it wasn't from one of the vents, but from the side). Someone close to me works for Delta and I know for a fact that some of their engines blow mid-flight.. and they tell the passengers that it's turbulence.. so that doesn't make me feel very safe. I won't fly Delta again if there is another comparable option."

Yet KLM prides itself as being punctual. Not the KLM that I have been flying!"

We were disappointed with KLM when comparing with other airline companies offerings when you book in Premium Economy."

I had to wait for a small plane coming from Edinburgh then wait for it to be emptied of passengers and cleaned. This meant we were over 2 hours late into Istanbul. No explanation or apology. I then missed my next flight in Istanbul and had to purchase another ticket. I cannot believe that air passengers are treated in this way!!! I will follow this up with KLM when I go home from my holiday."

I specifically called Air France prior to the flight to make sure I won’t have any issues as my 1st flight was operated by Delta and I wanted to confirm the luggage requirements were the same. My carry-on weighted only 5 kilos. I was extremely upset the way I was treated w/ the boarding agent behind the counter in Prague. On the top of that, her and the supervisor were very rude to my mom as they told her she had an extra carry-on which wasn’t the case. She traveled w/ a small briefcase where her mask for sleep apnea was. This is not considered an additional carry-on. The boarding agent (Czech lady and her supervisor) were not only rude but obviously lacked knowledge as well. My carry-on suitcase would easily fit in the overhead bin plus there was plenty of space inside the plane as it the flight wasn’t completely full."

Pros: "Traveled fron SFO to CDG on AF in business class on an A 380. Lounge in SFO was smallish and not many choices in the food bar. Boarding was smooth. my second ride on A 380 in business and this trip reminded me quickly why I did not care for the A 380 on my previous trip. It is a huge plane with a huge sized business class which makes the cost less worth it compared to a Boeing. The crew were extremely helpful and caring. The food was acceptable. The seats on the plane were not comfortable in the lying position. Took a cab to our hotel in Paris (1st Arr) for a flat 50 euros. No meters."
Cons: "Arriving in CDG and facing a slow immigration with the passengers of this huge plane. I didn't care for the baggage delivery system. We were waiting for an hour only to realize that the arrival port for our luggage was changed."
Cons: "The flight arrived late with no clear explanation as to why. Then there was no EU queue at immigration, so more time wasted."
Pros: "Our flight attendant and fnally making it home!"
Cons: "Disorganized uninformed staff. One says I have to have an additional "random" security check after going through the same thing in security. Turns out it wasn't random and I didn't need it. Both times they read my boarding pass wrong thought I was going to Tel Aviv - not random. Airport was hot as hell! Flight kept getting delayed then we had a gate change as well. Finally got on the plane and it took forever to take off so we were basically sitting in a sauna for 30+ minutes."

Pros: "The crew was very comfortable speaking two languages and friendly. They also had air conditioning! This was great because it was strangely hot in Paris and we were sweating profusely. And our last air france experience we were so hot and it was aweful. Even though it was like an hour and a half flight they still served us sandwiches ,really good."

Cons: "I am fliying international on a 6.5 hour flight. My minimum expectaiton is free wine, beer and two meals. Iceland Air provides none of that. I will definitely try to fly other airlines if I can."

Cons: "Boarding in Reykjavík was a mess. Biggest problem was that the flight was delayed over an hour, but the boarding times were only changed at the gate by ten minutes each time - and with no seating at that gate that meant everyone was standing around for over an hour."

Woke up to flight attendant grabbing my menu from my seat pocket, then shoving it back without warning even though my personal items were in there..."

This airline is way too inefficient to be scheduling these tight turnaround times, because clearly they cannot handle it. A bottle of water does not compensate for the nearly 24 additional hours of travel time and irritation."

Cons: "When you book a flight on Icelandair through Kayak, Kayak doesn’t tell you weather you’ve booked a ‘Economy light’ or an ‘Economy standard’ or ‘Economy premium’ ticket, it just says Economy. Icelandair offers a free checked bag for Economy standard and everything above, but not for light. We assumed we had standard because Kayak just said ‘Economy’ and found out later we had to pay for an expensive checked bag. Very disappointed in Kayak’s lack of communication and misrepresentation of the ticket we were booking."

To make things worse, none of the people at the counter were actually Iceland Air employee, so noone was able or willing to tell me anything about this (quote from employee "everything I tell you will be used against me" not sure if she was flippant or scared) Anyway, watch out for them screwing you over where they can"

We had to wait in an area the size of another airport's single waiting area with 3 other flights leaving for North America. There were at least 800 people waiting with no clear designation of where to go, no seating, no bathrooms nearby. It's a mess! Airplane seats with minimal padding and very cramped, but unfortunately, what's new?"
Pros: "More relaxed travelling experience that with many other airlines. From check-in right through transfers and to arrival my experience was very positive. Staff were friendly and helpful. There weren't any real occasions where I needed something changed or sorted, which shows that the pre-work was excellent and works. Thank you."

Pros: "The seats were roomy and comfortable, there was legroom. The plane did not feel overstuffed even though it was a packed flight. I also liked how they gave messages on the monitors. Someone got sick on the flight and the crew was very professional about the whole mess."

More food selections for sale would have been nice, especially fruit and veggies but the sandwich they offered was very good. Cons: "Check in at London Gatwick had a huge long snaking line that barely moved, as the gate agents apparently had two speeds: slow and stop. Took forever to inch forward, lucky I arrived almost three hours early, as check in and bag drop almost made me late for my plane. Transferred to another plane in Reykjavik, and had the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER in boarding. Airport is poorly marked, lucky it is small, because I finally figured out where to go. Huge crowd waiting to board, with NO gate agents or other Icelandair employees in sight. FINALLY the line started moving, but no announcement of boarding groups. Since I had an assigned seat I waited until the last in line to board. The first people in line must have sat in the plane for over an hour. The flight was delayed another hour because the luggage was not loaded. Horrible experience."

We had to wait in the airport and call multiple people on our own to find out first, what was wrong, and two how to resolve the situation. It was not pleasant after waking up at 4AM to catch the flight in the first place."

Cons: "Already confused by a late transfer, the boarding was very unorganized and passengers sat on a full transfer bus for 30 minutes while the employees continued to try and fit more passengers from the transfer onto a packed bus. No one seemed to be in charge to tell the bus to bring the passengers to the plane (literally 100 yards away) and come back fro the remaining passengers."
Pros: "Loved everything! My wife and and I and our 6y and 7y boys were treated so well. The "Little Explorer" backpacks and complimentary kids meals. The extra leg room. The friendly and helpful staff. I would choose Icelandair over any airline I've flown in the past 10 years."

Pros: "Nothing. I was offloaded minutes before boarding by BA without any explanations. The staff was not helpful in any way. BA is suggesting either non recept of payment or credit card fraud. Both reasons are totally bogus."

We asked several people and finally figured it out only they changed the gate at that point and we almost missed the flight after sitting in the airport for three hours"
Pros: "It was awesome how the windows are tinted and you can sometimes control it, and the new TV things on the back of every seat are truly amazing!"
Cons: "WHY is there no dairy free food?! I'm vegan but even for lactose intolerant people with more normal diets - there were absolutely no options! "meatballs and rice or pasta with a cheese sauce" - come ON! It's not that hard to make a vegetarian option that also happens to be dairy free!"

Cons: "Boarding was chaotic - after having first class and preferred passengers board, it was a free for all for all other passengers, which doesn't make a lot of sense and caused a long line. Due to a malfunctioning piece of equipment, the plane was about 90 degrees during boarding and while waiting for takeoff, which was pretty miserable. Temperature was fine after takeoff. The plane itself was very old, seats were cramped, and the screens for movies/tv (and selections themselves) were very poor, which is disappointing for an 8 hour flight. There were no power hookups either, which my Aer Lingus flight a few days beforehand offered. Finally, the passenger in front of me put his seat back while the plane was boarding, making it a struggle to get into my seat while boarding and to get out of it to let others in my aisle out from time to time for the restroom. Can't really blame the last one on the airline, but it added to the misery."

Pros: "Our original flight was delayed an hour, then 4 hours, then eventually cancelled. The last gate crew gave us no updates other than saying it was being delayed to a maintenance check. We eventually had to rebook our direct flight from ORD to CDG to then ORD to LHR and then to CDG. Because of this delay we missed most of our first day in Paris. The flight crew from LHR to CDG was very polite and friendly! I will be doing business with British Airways again in the near future. I will not be doing business with American Airlines anytime soon. Neither will my friends and family once they find out about my horrible experience with their lackluster customer service."

But they had wheel chair assist and a nice girl Veronica that stayed with me until I got the shuttle to the Reniassance Hotel in Chicago. Great room and comfortable. Nice to have the dinner and breakfast coupons. I got assist to the airport in the van and help boarding my plane to El Paso. I give British Air ways an excellent star."
