Pros: "I do not fly and took my first flight in eight years on aDelta flight. They are partners with KLM. We were late leaving SFO due to traffic..no fault of there’s. I just missed my connecting flight and they have booked me to leave a day later. I was also given a room at Marriott. I appreciate their service and the entire crew from check in to landing. I am now a fan of Delta as well as KLM."

A five to ten minute wait is fine, but a fifteen minute wait, with only three crew members compared to the other airlines? By the time I dropped off my baggage, the other airlines were finished with their customers, and there was still quite a line behind me."

Cons: "I am disappointed by the lack of communication among Delta staff when we arrived at LAX. Our turn-around was late coming into SMF, thus late leaving. It would have been very helpful if the gate staff at LAX had advised me to not bother to try to make my connection, or called the next gate to tell them we were running over there. RUNNING. Or at least done something to act like they cared. I am disappointed by the lack of initiative. I understand flights cannot wait, and I would have greatly appreciated being saved the trouble of running to a different terminal and instead taking that time to change my travel plans. They may see travelers struggling like this daily, but to each traveler, a hiccup in travel plans trip is stressful and urgent. I ask Delta staff to please consider that when they come to work. Thank you."

Cons: "LEX to ATL to GRU did NOT happen because the LEX flights were delayed to the point of missing the ATL connection. While Delta re-booked me on United, my flight arrived 3 hours later than scheduled (so transportation plans had to change), my bag did not successfully move from the Delta flight to the United flight (and was thus delayed in getting to GRU) AND once the bag was received, 4 shirts had been stolen. While a delay/theft claim has been filed with United, this could all have been avoided if the Delta flights had been on time."

Truly miserable hot and sweaty flight."

Our flight was from NYC to PR 5hour long and in between those hours she let a couple sit together on the other empty rows while I was feeling supper sick. Other passengers notice and had told me that they felt sorry for me. I was Embarressed. I was debating on venting on Twitter just yet and also on this review because what difference does it make. What matters the most is that we all got to our destination safely."

I downloaded the united app, and it tells me my flight is not just through american airlines, but through another carrier, american freedom or aomething like that. Very confusing. I called someone, I think american airlines, by this time completely confused. If there are multiple carrier types, I should be able to input my flight number and my info ahould come up for me to view flight info and check in, or seat assignment. In the end I dowloaded 2 or 3 apps, a confusing phone call, and when i got to rhw intial check in I was not treated well by tsa personnel. Maybe my name triggered thw extra search or something.Anyway, that last part is unrelated but my return flight was kind of a struggle."

Sometimes they give the gate numbers and everybody on that plane needed to go somewhere. the attendants were not helpful, the one announcer had an accent, a little hard to understand and asked that we all be kind...ok that I can do."

Cons: "Despite having a purchased ticket and a seat, I showed up to the airport because I was having problems checking in online. When I arrived at the kiosk it did not print a boarding pass, instead a slip stating I had missed my check-in timeframe and head to the front. I went to the front assuming the counter clerk would resolve the issue but she advised that the only thing she could do is book me on the next flight since the flight was over booked. I was really upset about the situation since I had to be at an event at a specific time. Just make sure you check in as soon as you can. If you are having issues on your phone, call the airline or head to the airport about an hour and a half to two hours early to get your boarding pass."

If anything, I should have been permitted to gate check the bag."

This is a great hazard in case of an emergency there would be no one to open the aircraft exit door and allow people to exit. Rather, it would cause a stir and a bottleneck of people rushing in an attempt to open a door that is far away. Very disappointed."

Cons: "Won't let you check in in advance so they can give you a terrible seat for a 12 hour flight. They won't even let you check in from the point of departure if it's with one of their partners. They also will do everything in their power to not give award miles to pattern airline clubs. It doesn't matter if you give them your United number and even register your United number with the flight for United. They will apply it to the Lufthansa Club and pretend it was just in the state and never actually give you the miles no matter how many times you try. This is not from one experience with Lufthansa / Austrian. I've had this experience many times with every flight I take with these terrible Airlines. I would never fly lifthansa unless it's at least $200 cheaper than any of their competitors."
Pros: "Original flight delayed. They bumped me to the earlier flight which was available cuz it was delayed also. That allowed me to make my connection but I got there about the same time as the later flight should have. The hour-long wait on the tarmac made the flight memorable."

And to give some perspective: I'm someone who is usually always cold on airplanes and typically not a fan of a/c. And I wore shorts & a t-shirt on the plane which I was nervous about doing because like I said, I'm always cold, but thank goodness I did for that flight."

We were offered hotel accommodations in Miami to find out the hotel they booked us does not accept United vouchers leaving us to pay for it ourselves. Another expense added to the trip unexpected. Every phone call to United leads to 4+ hours of wait time followed by "go online and figure it out". I still need a refund for both flights and these bogus hotel vouchers ."

Pros: "The flight was less than an hour so there's not much rank, it was delayed at first but only 15 minutes, the stuard was was kinda just there bc she worked that day and we had to wait to take off for a while but otherwise it was pretty basic."

Cons: "The pilot was looking like drunk or something. There was too many troubles while landing and taking off. Vibration speed was getting up and down. Please get him check for safety reasons."

Cons: "My flight was pushed back multiple times. Finally they said we would board in 20 minutes. I went to grab a bottle of water. In the mean time the gate changed (I was never notified) and they boarded in less than ten minutes. Furthermore when I went to the gate agent to ask what happened I had never before been greeted from someone so rude and lacking empathy. I can't believe this person was in customer service. She was short, had one word responses for me, and offered no solutions to the predicament they had put me in by delaying my flight and then expedite boarding. When I finally spoke to her manager, he was helpful and a normal human. The gate agent should work in a stock room where she doesn't have to deal with humans."

I had to carry loose dive gear on the plane in my arms, which did not save them any weight on the plane, just a huge inconvenience to me. Also baggage in expensive for both checked and carry on , $50/$55 each. Also the check in process was quite slow at Fort Lauderdale. I had my seat assignment and baggage receipt , and it still took the agents about five minutes per person , multipled by everyone on board."
