I lost my $170 hotel room, over $70 for taxis and ended up spending the night on the floor at Schipol. I do not think I'll ever use Kayak again. The travel guarantee is a joke too."

Toilets were kind of stinky and I could smell them from my seat on row 26. Blankets are way too thin for the blasting AC."

I have allergies and requested a special meal on all legs. No problem on the first three flights. All attendants approached me to confirm my allergy and the special meal. They were very polite. But on this flight, the attendant didn't speak with me about it at all. She tried to give me the regular meal. When I explained I needed an allergy free meal (mind you this was first class), I was told I could not get it and got no apology or other accommodation. Her attitude was take it or leave it. I found this interesting since on two of the other flights an announcement was made about another passenger with an allergy to peanuts so no one could have them on the flights and the attendants were very concerned."

In order to make sure I had enough time to make the connecting flight, I didn't check in my luggage which lead to me having to minimize liquids and pastes in my luggage (no vanilla extract or tequila). Also while making the transfer I felt rushed and stressed out. I might search for tickets using Kayak but I would not buy tickets directly from Kayak if my route involves a transfer at an airport that I am not familiar with."

Worst part of flight was no ones fault--heavy snow conditions caused 1 1/2 hour back-up for de-icing. Only other complaint I also noticed on my last Delta flight--the volume on the captain's announcements needs to be turned up. Hard to hear much of what he said. His explanation of de-icing, and how it might cause an odor or even haziness in the cabin was very helpful so that I didn't worry when the odor happened. I do like Delta very much."

Maybe they good offer each passenger a choice some type of goodie like a mint or a chocolate that says "please enjoy this while you wait for others to exit the plane"."

After 30 minutes they saw that my seat assignment had been changed and that is why my boarding passes that I had printed at home did not match what their computer showed. I booked this reservation in May and had a seat chosen fairly toward the front. I am 73 years old and the closer to the front I can be helps. When I finally got on the plane to my surprise my seat was the very last seat on the plane across from the restroom. People continued to leave the door open after using the restroom so had to get up and continue to close the door or look at the restroom the whole flight. There was never any explanation as to why they did this. As a result, being lst off the plane, I almost missed my connection as I had to go two terminals over for my connection. At my age I cannot run so I arrived as the last people were getting on the plane. I will never fly American Airlines again."

Made me wait until entire plane was disembarked and cleaned, and made me wait some more after. She was super snarky, made rude comments, and almost made my family miss our connection to EWN. I will never, ever, fly AA again. Worst customer service and tons of issues with maintenance, luggage handling, and delays."

My luggage did not arrive with me. Both of my suitcases were mangled and broken. Items in my suitcases were shattered and crushed even though they were well packed and protected. We got stuck on the terminal in MSP and missed our connecting flight. When we finally arrived the systems were down and could not get new flights or hotels. We were told we could not get hotels and had to argue for an hour. Even though it was a maintenance issue. I arrived a day late and had to take extra leave. The plane from LAX to Tokyo was horrific. I booked a window seat, was stuck in the very middle. There was no way to charge outlets devices. The screen did not work. And my new luggage was also damaged with even more items destroyed."

Also, I've never been to an airport where you exit the boarding doors in the terminal then head down stairs to the tarmac to board a bus that make a complete lap of the terminal going near every AA plane obviously trying to figure out which one they need to drop us off at. If can get this close to losing people I now understand how luggage gets lost so often."

Cons: "i had my boarding pass and chose my seat some time ago, in row 4. When I checked in, the AA representative switched my boarding card and I was told that my seat was no longer available. When I got to the gate, I spoke to the gate attendant. There were several people also speaking to them about their seats. I did not have a seat assigned to my boarding pass, so I stood until the entire plane boarded and the gate attendants could sort things out. In the end, I was given a seat at the back of the plane, even though booked my seat some time ago and am a Sapphire member. When I boarded, there was no room for my carry-on luggage. The flight attendant already understood what happened. She immediately took my bag, and found a space at the front of the airplane. This is the second disappointing flight in a row in 2 weeks I have had with AA. I'm not sure if it's just bad luck, or has something to do with the company. I had flown with U.S. Airways for years and never experienced any major issues."

Pros: "I don't usually complain, and I have never responded to this kind of rating request, but, the American Airlines flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Phoenix was too inept to ignore. Firstly, I wasn't assigned a seat when I booked the flight. Then, at the time I checked in, as no regularly priced seat was reserved for me, I was forced to pay for a premium seat, for both the outbound and inbound segments. Secondly, no snacks were offered on the outbound flight, because "the ground crew forgot to supply the plane". This didn't bother me, but it did infuriate some of the other passengers. Finally, I paid for the GoGo inflight internet, but the download speed was sooooo slow, I finally gave up."

Captain Amy touched down in Phoenix was one of the smoothest I have ever experienced."

A lot of other airlines offer some sort of complimentary in flight entertainment. Also the luggage didn't start coming out for at least 30 mins of waiting at baggage claim. Not the worst experience I've had flying but far from being a good experience. It probably isn't worth flying united unless it's 1st class. But even they had to wait 30+mins for luggage!"

Cons: "Crew was rude, not just to me, but to other patrons. Flight was packed going and the man scanning boarding passes spoke to those of us asking simple questions as if we were stupid and defiant. Was he a prison guard in his previous job? On the way to Newark, I had an aisle seat. One of the stewardesses blazed by me with a cart ramming it into my shoulder without so much as a, "sorry." I'm not a big woman but maybe as I dozed off I leaned over a bit...There is no way she didn't feel her cart hit me. Rudeness, it seems is a part of the culture at United because the flight attendants coming back squeezed past the long line for the bathroom without saying, "excuse me." They did however, say, "I need to get by," and one of them brushed by the gentlemen sitting next to me and bumped his laptop and coffee. Overall it seems that the crew working these particular United flights have forgotten that we pay hard earned money to fly. Some of us are going on vacation, to see loved ones, and some are flying to deal with unpleasant circumstances. The staff may fly several times a day, but most passengers do not. There's a lot of prep and anxiety, that goes into taking a flight and a surly flight crew multiplies that anxiety. No one wants to fly with a crew that hates their job."

Worst day ever Now, No one can give me a refund. mind you I took a day off from work this was a last minute. The reason this trip was so important to me is because my grandma is in the ICU. I hardly ever complain about any customer service experience. Overall to get a hold of customer service is awful. Now I have to spend more money and I have to drive 12hours."

Cons: "Boarding was unpleasant I had to wait so long to be seated because no wheelchair was available then I had to sit in the rear of the plane I'm physically disabled I had no leg room and my knees were in pain the whole flight then after landing I had to wait 20 to 25 minutes to get off the plane I'm still recovering from that but keep the attendance they were the highlight of my experience"
Pros: "There was a fairly entertaining TV show playing."
Cons: "The flight was only about half- full so when we boarded there were a lot of empty seats. In that situation been told before that we could change seats and spread out if we wanted to, but they didn't say anything. I was going to ask, but there were 2 flight attendants just leaning on seats & talking up until they announced to prepare for departure. Then during the flight when passing out snacks she handed me one and didn't even offer one for my husband sleeping next to me. She moved on the next row and was gone so quickly I didn't even have a chance to ask. When she came back around for drinks, I asked for 2 drinks (1 for me, and one for my husband still sleeping, in case he woke up), to which she responded, "I just won't open it then." She gave me just the can of soda, - no cup, no ice. So when my husband did wake up, he just drank it from the can. Oh, and it's a good thing my husband was sleeping for a portion of the flight because his monitor wasn't working."
Pros: "On time."
Pros: "The only thing I have to say that is positive is that it was relatively easy to change my flight date and time in the United app once my original flight had been cancelled. The app was the only thing that helped me understand what was going on during the constant time and gait changes throughout the day."
Cons: "This airline is terrible. First we were told that the flight would be delayed 1 hour and 40 minutes. We were supposed to leave at 2139 from IAH to PHX. They changed the departure to 2309 due to "mechanical failure" of one of the aircrafts. We were told a plane was coming and that we were just waiting for another flight to Albuquerque that was delayed before us to leave the gait. Long after that first delayed flight left passengers for PHX were delayed 3 more times which ended in the final tenative departure time being 0145. We were told at 0115 to sit tight and wait because the plane was now here but the crew was still in route. Shortly after this promise, the crew showed up and everything seemed to be ready for us to board. Another 30 minutes went by and they announced that the flight was cancelled. United airlines had used up over 4 hours of changing gaits and times only to end up cancelling the entire flight. They did not offer any explanation for this nor were they the least sympathetic to the travelers who have all paid to be on that flight. The customer service was disgraceful and did not offer any type of help on reimbursement, hotel, cabs, or compensation for this."
Pros: "Attentive crew, on time departure and arrival. I came on crutches due to recent surgery. Flight attendant assisted with putting them in the overhead bin and assisted my getting off the plane also."
Cons: "I paid extra to upgrade to a seat behind the bulkhead which eould give me more legroom. The bulkhead was way too close for that. So I felt this money was not well spent."
Pros: "Just happy to be home"
Cons: "That I asked to be put on an affiliate airline they didn't offer which was perfect because I was able to get home to get medical attention"
Cons: "5 hour flight and only received drink and nuts. Very cold on board, but no blankets available except in first/business class. Very slow boarding process; took off 30 minutes late (flight was overbooked). No entertainment options."

Cons: "The service, accommodations, cleanliness, organization from the airline (multiple delays and two gate changes), comfort of seats, & entertainment options were all undesirable. I tend to only fly United when I have no other options. This experience was exactly what I expected from the airline. However, I was traveling with my mother this trip and wish I would've spent the money to fly a different airline."

Also the connecting flight was all the way on the other side of the airport. No one at the airport would help with directions to the next boarding area."

Charges $25.00 Additional For Each Bag Is Ridiculous! Just Build The Cost Into Each Ticket Peice. Southwest Airlines Is Ahead Of The Curve On This! That's One Reason Why Southwest Is So Successful'"

Cons: "Longest security line I've ever seen. I almost missed my flight though I was 3 hours early. Weird set up at departures. At gate warned flight overbookedso we were all stressed we may not even get seat though mine was booked months in advance. I was in zone 4 and they only allowed zones 1-3 to stow carry on items that we had to already lug around the airport for hours. I was forced to check my regulation sized bag in the passageway to the plane as well as everyone else in my zone. Economy seat especially tiny and cramped. Unpleasant flight attendents."

Cons: "The flight was delayed three times. It was two hours behind schedule. Then there was a delay in boarding, no entertainment on board unless you buy wifi or previously downloaded the united app to watch selected shows on your mobile device! Appalling to say the least! Whatever happened to the days when you get on an airplane and food and entertainment was a part of your ticket price! Another thing that bothered me was the fact that I had to pay $25 for my suitcase! Really United! Am I not allowed one piece of luggage? I don't like carry my bags around with me so now I have to pay to check it! Shouldn't that be the other way around! Charge for carry on luggage, it's such a hassle and also slows down boarding time, cases congestion in the hallway with everyone reaching for their luggage in the overhead bins! I can keep going, but what good is it gonna do. United airlines suck!"

Cons: "They cancelled my flight the morning of, I was rerouted through a later flight to AA when the United employee couldn't speak enough English to communicate, I misheard 2:30 when she actually said 2:13. Showed up an hour early as I always do at Eugene airport, only to have the gate shut in my face...we'd missed the flight. I then proceeded to get in my car and drive three hours to catch a connecting flight to Phoenix through traffic etc etc....only to arrive in Phoenix 6 hours later than expected. All of my evening business meetings, lost. Thanks United, you always seem to find a new way to screw it up."
