Cons: "I travel this route (ATL - MGM) often and it seems like half the time I use Delta there is an issue with the plane including times when the flight has been cancelled. This time the plane left the gate and some fifteen minutes after sitting on the tarmac was taken back to the gate. The issue was said to be an element that keeps a sensor from freezing in extreme cold weather. The less than one hour flight took two hours to complete. This should have been dealt with as a maintenance issue but Delta doesn't seem to think so. The planes on this route make Delta a LOT of money as it is one of the most profitable routes in the US. You would think Delta could invest in keeping better maintained planes on the route."

While the flight crew were spot on, I am extremely disappointed in the pilot. Due to him being late, due to his hotel not having water, my flight was delayed an hour. This in turn caused me to miss my connecting flight. I rented a car to finished my trip. Extremely unprofessional of him to delay the flight causing most passengers to have to make changes to their travel plans. I will be in contect with American Airlines about this.
4 flights in 5 days. Each was delayed. For a total of 13+ hours in the airport. Without even a courtesy meal voucher. Absolute unbelievable.
The boarding process went very quickly, faster than I’ve ever seen boarding occur. I understand the need for efficiency, but the groups were called so quickly that there was a lot of chaos at the gate and people running through the airport. Then we all sat on the plane for a while, which seemed silly.

The plane ride was fairly smooth. Captain did a great job flying. There was however the terrible delays, packed flight for us to still be in a pandemic, and the cabin pressure changes that really popped your ears terribly. They could’ve offered free soft drinks and a snack at least for the terrible inconvenience of a 2 hour delay as we had to scramble with contacting our transportation at the last minute with so many changes. Definitely what you get for the price. Just glad it was nonstop for us.

Cons: "From the delay in Houston on 6/15 on our outbound flight to the delay on 6/18 on our return flight, customer service was poor and Spirit Airline employees - whether at the airport or on t he other end of the 1 -800 number - were not articulate, did not communicate effectively nor did they seem to care about their customers concerns or comfort. You might want to rethink what you could offer to your customers in the event of a delay, esp one that is not weather related. Offering something as simple as a free bottle of water & bag of pretzels to everyone once on board, could go a long way to thanking everyone for their wait. As well, your seats are too close together for comfort. I will not be flying on Spirit Airlines again which is a shame as I have a niece & family in Miami to whom I plan to travel to see."

I was told by another passenger that it was only spirit who does this. Thus making the "cheaper" airfare - NOT cheaper. Also - NO free beverage or snack. Must pay for those as well. My experience will make me totally rethink about using spirit airlines next time I travel."

First, they bring their prices down to get you to fly with them . Then they charge you $50 for any luggage is checked. The limit for luggage weight is 40Lb versus 50 Lb in other airlines. As the result I was charged extra $ for 10 Lb over the limits. I had a small carry on and I was charged for $57 for that as well. At the end for one hour flight fro Las Vegas to LaX, I was charged all these extras which cost me significant $ above the purchase price of one way ticket from your web side. I did not know any of these until I had to deal with the agent. By the way, I could not use their self check in machine, and they charge me $10 more. And they did not have adequate staff at the gate and three sets of passenger had to cut in front of me.!! Total Disaster"

Cons: "There was no mention of an upgrade of seats that I noticed on your website. All but the elite 10 seats were crammed in there, allowing you to weigh around 160 pounds, and no taller than 5' 8". The seats do NOT recline at all - a terrible lesson I learned post cervical infection and surgery. It was very uncomfortable, and walking up and down the isle is a bit of a bother of your plane-mates, especially if you have to make 40 passes."

Cons: "I usually never post anything negative for a review, so here is my first one. I had an awful flying experience with spirit I will never fly with them again. I will keep it short and simple. They charge you for everything that your flight ends up becoming super expensive and its obscured until you get hit with the fee. First off, bag check in is ridiculously expensive. Cost me just about 100 dollars to check a tiny bag. The seats on the airline do not recline and there was absolutely zero leg room. Im not that tall (6'0), so there is no reason I should have to sit sideways on the seat because my knees are jammed into the seat in front of me. My entire neck and back became stiff when I got off the aircraft because of this. Water cost me 5 dollars. Do I need to say more? Water should be free. I left my long sleeve shirt in my bag that was already checked, so I asked a flight attendant if they had a tiny blanket ( It was so cold my jaw was shivering ) And she literally told me you should have brought one, we are not responsible for lending flyers blankets because its too cold.. Could not believe the awful experience I had with this airline. Never again. 1 star is generous."
