Cons: "We arrived at the airport 5 minutes (NO more than that) after the one hour check in time to fly international going to Mexico. We were told we had to wait in line to speak with someone to print a boarding pass. There was an extremely long line with only two employees helping. We then asked if we could get our money back being that if someone has specially helped us with our case only being 5 minutes late to check in, but they declined. We had to book an entirely different flight and still have not gotten our money back. It was very stressful and unprofessional and had someone actually helped us, we would’ve arrived at our destination at the proper time we worked so hard for. I know my boyfriend and I weren’t the only people with his problem because two other families ran into the exact same avoidable problem. It felt very unprofessional. It ruined a familys vacation and caused the poor children to cry because of the lack of accommodation. We would love our money back but not sure you guys will even do so. Very disappointing."

Cons: "After arriving at the santa rosa airport, an airport smaller than most bus stations, I tried to print my boarding pass at the kiosk, it told me to go the Alaska desk for assistance, easy enough considering theres only 1 desk in the entire airport, however there were no Alaska employees there. I waited, and waited, and started to panic as the flight time approached but knew the plane was literally 10 steps away so I did my best to remain calm. I tried to enter when people started to board, but despite my confirmation number, receipt for my flight and 2 forms of photo ID, the security team informed me that I must get a boarding pass from the non existent Alaska air employees. After waiting for 45 minutes and watching my plain board and fly away, an employee finally showed up and did his best to help me, but also told me its normal for Alaska to leave their assistance desk unmanned, and I should have used the kiosk... Which didn't work. After putting me on a bus to SF airport and assuring me they have a flight waiting for me with united. I was surprised to discover they actually shipped me to an airport 2 hours south, with no ticket waiting for me. After a 24 hour ordeal I finally made it to my destination, and all I was offered for their horrible customer service and "forgetting" to confirm the flight they claimed was waiting for me, was a 24$ food voucher!!!! Wow, a full day late for my cousins wedding, but I got a food voucher! I'm shocked and appalled at their lack of professionalism and will NEVER fly with Alaska again"

This airline is ruthlessly unsympathetic to people that miss boarding - even when plane not full and even when there is a second holding area requiring additional wait time."

Cons: "I have usually flown with Virgin America. Uncomfortable seats both along your spine and on your bottom. After boarding the plane, it was very stuffy...no air from the vent. After take off, very little air thru the opened vent. No built in screen as compared to Virgin for movies, music, and a flight map....it's about $10 to rent a tablet to watch things with Alaska. Just before landing they played a commercial advertising their credit card....Oh no, I don't want to listen to commercials on the flight. That will probably cause me to book with another carrier in the future. I HATE COMMERCIALS."

The stewardess put me in a great seat when I was helpful to another passenger upon boarding. Also everyone seemed to be quite attentive and helpful during the covid situation, where people are a bit unnerved. I appreciated the effort to make everyone happy."

The gate didn’t change, the info was just wrong. Fortunately, my third flight was delayed about 30 minutes. But this also was not communicated in the United text until late."

So had to get luggage and turn right around to check-in for Denver to Cedar Rapids and pay another $25 with the same airline because I wasn't able to check all the way through! After paying once for my checked bag they tried to make me pay again. Asked to see in writing what they were trying to explain and the manager couldn't do it. They never gave me my ticket stub for my checked bag. So if it hadn't arrived I wouldn't have had anyway to find it. Very disappointing staff in SFO. Seemed aa if no one at SFO was happy to be working there or even worse didnt know what to do most of the time. VERY different than the DEN united experience."

Cons: "While on the plane at the gate, had to wait 20 mins for someone to hang my jacket (had to ask and the person came back 5 mins later) despite the fact that the attendant immediately checked on the guy next to me when he sat down, who apparently had status with United (attendant ignored me). I guess a $7,000 fare doesn't warrant special attention. I had to ask the same attendant for other items at times, but he'd forget and I'd have to ask someone else. Also, the seats were decent yet a bit crowded IMHO. I'm 5'10" and my feet were crammed up against the front of the space when fully reclined. The width of the seat area was a bit tight as well. Finally, they have 2 heads (toilets) that serve both the business class section ( maybe 50 people) as well as the front of economy. One of the pilots was waiting at the same time as me and agreed that it was a pretty questionable layout for the number of seats covered. All in all, not my favorite airline and nothing on this trip so far changed that view."

However, there was no restriction or clause listed on the ticket stating that I had to cancel through priceline also. It really should not matter who I cancelled through, if I canceled within 24hrs the refund should be given. Also, the debits from my account said United as well as priceline taking me to United's web page to make the purchase. So of course one would think cancelling through United's site is appropriate. I'm very disappointed in United and will consider all other options (Airlines) before booking with them again. PS - United customer gave me the run around for 3 days knowing that it was their policy and they were the company who's keeping my money. Absolutely ridiculous."

The crew was fantastic and had paramedics load the plane to check on toddler. The family deboarded and United crew cleaned the throw up. The pilots kept the passengers informed and we proceeded with the flight. The flight attendants were fantastic, particularly the brunette attendant who remembered me from a previous flight. Best flight attendant ever!! Thank you United!!!"

Pros: "Excellent service. I love Kayak is the best!"

Pros: "I arrived at the aurport 1 hr 20 mins before flight - plenty if time to check in and make it to gate at a small airport ad Newark is. Wanted to check in online - the United System did not allow me to. Had to wait in line - long line due to holidays. I raised my hand and asked for assistance given the impending 1 hr cut off time for check in. Was told I should go to the special assustance line. Well, guess what - that line which was meant to be express service for fliers with special situations was moving with the speed of a tortoise - slower than the general line. Only 2 flight assistants were servicing, both incredibly slow. When asked politely that I need special assistance as I was approaching the 1 hr cut iff fir checkin, the United lady yelled at me instead of speeding up her slow motion. Bottom line, I missed my flight on a tiny airport dedpite arriving 1 hr 20 mins before flight. Had to wait 14 hrs overnight at the airport to catch the next flight because the United Airlines personnel are lazy, slow, inefficient, rude and no customer oriented. Terrible service."

Cons: "I sat in the middle seat of row 38. The last one between 2 tall broad melus there was no room to even put the tray table down.it was the worst flight I ever had. Never United again"

Cons: "The flight I purchased was over booked. I had to leave a friend behind and travel on my own. I will never use United Airlines again."

Cons: "No more seat back pocket. Its aolid plastic now & nothing fits. No meal service on a 4 hour flight. That's ridiculous. No check in counter. Just a sea of people fighting for kiosks to self check in. Bad enough there's no more ticket agents, they could at least have an organized line."

Pros: "We got lucky and there were two empty seats across the aisle, which happened to have extra leg room, and the one gentleman sitting there, graciously offered to move to the window seat so my husband could sit in the aisle seat. My husband was quite happy that he was able to move just across the aisle from me and have the extra leg room."
Cons: "My husband's original seat had a broken jack for headphones and the only thing they could offer was to switch seats with someone that wasn't going to use theirs. Luckily, the man sitting across the aisle heard what was going on and offered his seat to my husband and the gentleman just moved to the window seat. Paying an extra $118 for basically nothing; it's not very clear before you buy it, what exactly your paying the extra money for. On our return flight, we flew American, and the same thing would have only cost us an extra $42. We had to wait in a ridiculously long security line in Chicago and by the time we got to our terminal, 90% of the passengers were already on the flight or in line to enter the plane and that's what we found out we had paid the extra $118 for."

Pros: "To say, its been over 20 years since I've flown, everything was just fine."

Pros: "The timely fashion that the process took to complete, traveling was good and easy that day!"

Pros: "On time and early for the second"

Pros: "Customer service at Dulles was helpful"
Cons: "My trip was jacked up on both ends, starting with cancelled flight at 11 p.m. the night before, phone calls to United to change flights on the way out, and then maintenance on the way back home, which caused me to miss my connection in Dulles. Horrible accommodations, bad replacement flights, baggage service in Syracuse was dishonest and apathetic. All around bad."

Cons: "No entertainment"

Pros: "Boarding went fairly quick and the flight was a quick one. Friendly and efficient staff!"
Cons: "This plane was even smaller than the previous one, it's hard to fly in comfort when you're over 6'."
