The waiting time in Panama was to long (4 hours, more than what it will take the whole fly if it was direct). When we land i took forever (25 min) to reach the point where we can get off from the airplane. Then it took 1 and half hour to get our suitcases."

When we first checked in at the ticket counter they had given us standby tickets, but they did not inform us of this. We had purchased tickets 2 months in advance of our flight, so this should not have happened. They tried to get us to stay in Panama City for the night but we refused as we were traveling to a wedding and had already paid for the night at an all inclusive resort. After much arguing and waiting around, they finally put us on a different airline where we had to take an additional 3 hour flight to get to our final destination. We ended up losing most of a day of our very short vacation. Ridiculous. What is the point of buying tickets ahead and making plans when you don't even know if you will be allowed on your flight? A very frustrating and disappointing experience."

I got on the plane, put my carryon under the seat in front of me and everything was great. I landed in Chicago, got to my gate, went to board and this very rude employee stopped me after I scanned my ticket and told me I couldn’t board with my bag. The EXACT bag I had boarded with in SLC. After harshly grabbing my bag and putting it in the carryon basket to check for size, she wouldn’t let me pass by her into the boarding bridge and told me I was going to have to pay. I tried explaining that I had asked I’m SLC if I needed to check it and they had all said no and that it fit under my seat. She said, “I don’t care what they said in SL, this is what I’m saying here.” And directed me to the front desk where I had to pay $50!! $50 for a carryon backpack that fit under my seat comfortably 20 minutes before!! Without saying a word (cause I didn’t want to yell at the poor girl behind the desk) I paid the $50 and proceeded to enter the bridge but before I passed through, the rude woman said, “have a nice flight ma’am” and scoffed!! An audible scoff. So I’m short, I hate American Airlines and I will do my BEST to not have to fly with them in the future."

And their website for supposedly checking on lost luggage, aa.com/bag status, is next to useless. It gives no useful information. Use the 800 # but state you want to talk with a human when answering the questions in their phone tree. I’ve had other experiences on AA over the last few years that lead me to question their commitment to customer service. I’ll be avoiding American Airlines as a travel option where other alternatives are available."

Cons: "Our section of the plane was very warm. When we mentioned it to one of the attendants, she pointed to the overhead vents and told us to use them. (We already knew this and had them open all the way!) Then the chief flight attendant came by and she was VERY responsive and went to tell the pilots. It got a little better but still stayed on the warm side the rest of the way. Your boarding process makes no sense and does nothing to get passengers settled faster. After priority seating is done, let the people in the BACK of the plane board first, then the middle section passengers, then the Eco Plus passengers."

Cons: "Upgraded to business class for flight home. I had aisle seat last row. Cart left in aisle to keep cabin class from constantly using the bathroom by the cockpit. But they kept coming just pushing the cart aside and rubbing their butts on my arms and shoulders to squeeze by. I understand why they did it. Many times their was a long line and people bothering the guests in business class. I eventually complained and the cart was removed. The attendants really tried hard to minimize the traffic through that section. But to little success."

Cons: "It was my worst flight ever. Blowing of conditioner was unbearable. I had a headache all the flight because of this and there was no way to turn it off. I was proposed to sit in another place by one stewardess, but after 20 minutes another one kicked me off saying I should pay to change a sit. And there is no entertainment on 11 hours flight. Entertainment was available only in your own device and you should by internet to set up united application on which it available. I had more then 20 flights through Atlantic Ocean with different airlines and this one was the worst."
Cons: "The flight was delayed almost 5 hrs. I was supposed to arrive in Charlotte, NC around 10pm. I didn't get there until almost 3am. My flight was due to leave at 630pm didn't leave until 1130pm. I called united airlines to try to get another flight but the agent said there were no other flights to Charlotte. I had to change terminals from B to E. while waiting there were many flight delayed by United Airlines. The pilot said that our flight was delayed due to crew issues/not enough leaving Mexico. We were also delayed from leaving IAH because we had to wait to board because there was not enough flight attendants. This trip was a inconvenience of my time. I should be compensated. This was ridiculous! I will never fly United Airlines again. #getittogether #hostageairlines"
Cons: "I bought a ticket on KAYAK and it was united flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. I buy many tickets going from LA to Vegas. After no indication about any extra costs but only the inability to check in… At the airport I was warned by one of the agents when she told me that my basic economy ticket would not allow me to bring my computer back on the plane without being charged. I've never experienced this in my life. I said I'm not paying and I went through TSA and I boarded without any problem. United has just been axed off of my list of Airlines with which I will travel. Come to think of it the only other airline that I can choose not to travel on his Spirit so United has reached new lows!"

Cons: "Both flights were INCREDIBLY delayed. First, the flight from San Jose was delayed 1.5 hours because they were "waiting for the aircraft." After everybody finally boarded the plane an announcement was made that somehow the luggage crew had damaged the cargo hold, and that everybody would have to deplane. It would take 45 minutes for maintenance crew to arrive to assess the situation. People got up, got their luggage out of the overhead bins, and started moving to the front of the plane. The pilot then came back on the intercom and told everyone they would have to return to their seats. Roughly an hour later we finally took off. It would have been the decent thing to do to AT LEAST offer the passengers something (i.e. comp drinks or snacks), but the cheapskates at United DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE. Multiple people missed their connections. Fast forward to IAH--> SAT. Another late flight. This time, everybody boarded the plane only to be informed that due to a problem with the plane's computer everybody would have to sit on the plane while they "rebooted" its computers. This was done TWICE. UNITED AIRLINES, GET IT TOGETHER. There is a very good reason you are consistently ranked one of the WORST US-flagged carriers, which makes you one of the MOST HATED AIRLINES ON THE PLANET. I really and truly pray that the US airlines and their lobbyists lose their battle to prevent foreign flagged carriers from operating within the US, because you all deserve to go bankrupt."

Cons: "the 4 hour delay changed all of our arrival plans. text messages were not always updated and neither were the airport boards as the gates kept changing. The check in line was just ridiculous. The staff members kept walking away or what seemed like .. talking to friends- I've never seen a line move so slow and I'm from new York."

Cons: "Lack of planning. Even though it was specified that I was travelling with a senior citizen. There was a short time between conecting flights. Having my elderly mother having to rush from one gate to other with no assistance whatsoever. Barely making it to the gate on time and luggage getting lost. Still to this time which is around 24 hours later from the flight, there is no response about her bags. Insulin was on checked luggage. She experiencing serious knee pain due to the fast walk from gate to gate. Fast walk being mention since she is old and can't run. Besides that, flights were good."

That's just poor operations. Then our flight continues to get delayed several times. Which is the most annoying... Don't tell me the flight is delayed an hour, the 55 min later tell me it's delayed another hour - repeat, repeat, repeat. After two and a half hours, I said f-it, and just left. I could've driven to my destination faster."
