Eventually the agent I was checking in with got busy, I went to a new agent, and with a flick of a keyboard he approved the extra rate based on my status, without even have my to request it."

Virgin Australia contatcted out their flight from SJC to LAX through Delta and Delta cancelled flights becaue no-show of Pilot to operate the plan. What a Joke???? I've had to purchase a new set of luggage AND will have to pay for them on my next 2 legs on Delta. I apologise for seeming so harsh as I know you've had so much trouble because of the tornadoes, but this leg of my trip cost me an additional $800.00 plus AUD and I was here in the US to care for my father who recently had a 2nd heart attack and my final days in USA were meant to be a holiday, and all I can say is the stress because these expenses have removed any enjoyment (I know I'm looking at this half empty, not half full). Cons: "My original flight from IND to LGA was cancelled due to weather and I was rebooked for the next day. I was forced to spend a night in a hotel near the airport. Then my flight the next day kept being delayed, first 5 min, then 20, then 40, etc until 2.5 hrs. Since the delays kept increasing, I decided to rebook on another flight with a very tight connection in Detroit--the only other option. When my flight arrived, the other fight was already boarding and I ran to make it. Luckily I got to the gate in time, just before the door closed. The original flight ended up with a 3.5 hr delay!!! That is unacceptable."

Pros: "My seat changed by a crew when I boarded on the plane and I thought that was rude but then I realized that all the row seats were empty. The newest airplane was clean, nice and had a cool entertainment system. All the crews were very friendly, nice and outstanding customer service especially one of the elder crews (Asian man) was very attentive and caring about all passengers. I hope he will be on the board for my return."

I paid the money to check a bag but folks with over sized carry on got their bags checked for free at the plane entrancewhen they ran out of room in the cabin. They ran out of room before more than half the plane was boarded."

Pros: "The seats were super comfy, the flight was practically empty so I had an entire row of seats to myself! The complimentary movies & entertainment is awesome and kept me from getting fidgety during the long 8 hour direct flight. I honestly didn't even feel like I was on an airplane."
Cons: "Nothing, this was a perfect flight!"

Cons: "I was traveling with two kids and they used my phone for shows and I brought another older Oppo phone for the myself. It just wouldn't work with the united app to open up the movies. Was unfortunate because I had two flights."

Cons: "United made me check my carry-on and would not transfer , so I had to wait for it and missed my connecting flight. Then I rebooked on a later flight which was cancelled due to weather. So needless to say I did not get to Ottawa and had to purchase a hotel room in Newark. United is telling me I may not get on another flight until tomorrow night. I am very disappointed."

Cons: "I was informed by text that flight would be 3 hours late but when I called I was told I would need to get to airport at least an hour before scheduled departure as They MIGHT get a new aircraft!!!! However when I got to airport the flight was now listed at 4 hours late. Then it was listed as 6 hours late and We arrived 6 1/2 hours late. I had missed my first trAin connection and lost part of that fee because of change then had to take UBER from airport to Penn Station in order to catch the LAST train to my home in upstate NY and was so late I could not call people to pick me up so had to take another taxi. The $50 credit you gave us did not even cover my extra taxi fares let alone aggravation AND the TV monitor in front of my seat did not work!! I am a United mileage person who flies regularly but to Texas and internationally but this was worst flight in years."

Cons: "Small plane. 70 minute delay. No entertainment."

Cons: "Flight was delayed arriving to Greenville and was only informed 10 minutes before boarding in Newark. Flight was delayed another three hours leaving from Greenville. It's as if United books flights on a planned delay and they CANNOT DO THAT. My husband and I go on at least 11 trips a year and I will make sure that I pay extra to go on another airline that is reliable!!"

Cons: "Very early in the morning We had to drive to Chicago to catch our flight to Sarasota. (Since our flight was delayed over 2.5 hrs) So since our car was in Chicago, we did NOT take the flight to Peoria."

Cons: "The flight was delayed and rescheduled four times. The two guys working at the counter had no clue what was going on."

Cons: "My flight ended up being canceled due to weather which was understandable. I explained to the attendant at the counter that I had to get to Denver because I had my brother who is a minor meeting me at the airport in Denver and I did not want him alone by himself in a place he'd never been. when trying to reschedule my flight at the counter the attendant was rude and told me I had to call united myself to reschedule my flight. I was on the phone with them for over 45 minutes just to be told there was nothing they could do to help me. They said they had one flight leaving the next morning to denver but it was completely full. Which defeated the purpose because I was going to have to fly back home the following Sunday. So I stuck around and tryed to find a flight to Denver and I over heard the couter attendant book another customer to Denver for that evening when I was told I had to call united myself and pretty much was told I could not be helped. I ended up having to pay another airline 538 dollars to fly my brother to Tulsa instead so he wouldn't be stranded in Denver because I wouldn't get there till the following day. I'm very disappointed in united and there lack of customer service. I especially don't like being told I can't be helped when the attendant at the ticket counter clearly helped someone else. I am so disappointed in my experience with united and will never fly with them again."

Pros: "Even though I was on connecting flights and weather sounded like it might interfere, that was not the case. Each flight went smoothly and easily. It was a fantastic travel day."

Cons: "Our incoming flight was late arriving at Dulles. We bolted from that flight to the gate for our connecting flight to GSP. Two of our party of six made it and got onboard telling staff we were coming. We arrived moments later - moments later! - but were denied access because they said we were a minute late. Our small plane was just outside the door with access door still open and staff going in and out. Next flight was 5 hours later. We asked to speak to a supervisor and that was ignored until we demanded attention. The supervisor came 1.5 hours after we were denied plane access. Customer concern was nonexistant on this day."

Cons: "Cramped legroom"

Pros: "It was a crowded flight home, I knew that when I checked in online. I was forced to check my bag plane-side...to be picked up at baggage claim upon our arrival. Inconvenient to say the least. The crew announced there was in-flight wi-fi {available for purchase, of course} only to come back on and apologize that the wi-fi was down for this flight. The crew did do beverage service, but never made it to the last three rows of passengers. Overall, just not the type of customer service I am used to from other airlines. I chose this flight based on the price. I don't think I'll chose United again in the near future."

Cons: "Tsa yelled and embarrassed me for no reason, expensive food, janky airplane, no ammenities"

Pros: "I received my e boarding pass the night before"
Cons: "The boarding pass that was sent the night before had the incorrect gate and no seat assignment. I spoke w THREE agents at checkin and they all sent me to the (wrong) gate- C25 and wouldn't give me a seat assignment. That is a long way to go w a scooter and a bag, only to learn the correct gate is B4. I was the last to board, there was no bin space left. it shouldn't be so complicated."

Cons: "Boarding 3 times. Had to deplane two times because of maintenance. Sat on tarmac for an hour before deplaning the second time."

Cons: "A lady with a dog on a leash was allowed on board. I do not think it was a service dog. In the gate area, the dog was encouraged to get up on the seat. The owner also walked the dog over to a couple to visit, and the couple had a large cat in a carrier. The dog owner did not see the cat in the carrier for a few minutes. Then, when she did realized it she did not move away. You could see that the dog noticed the cat and was getting excited, and proceeded to bark. I don't know why she didn't back away when she noticed the cat. On board, the dog, still on a leash, didn't stay under her feet. The owner did not hang on to the leash."

Cons: "Flight was delayed 3 hours because pilots weren't there. Complete bs"

Pros: "The plane was nice."
Cons: "Over 1 hour late. We sat on the plane after boarding all that time. Late for things that should have been done before boarding ( fueling and more food). The movie and TV shows froze and skipped, so we're hard to follow."

Pros: "Very friendly and great service. Gave us drinks twice."

Pros: "Again this flight was under booked so there was plenty of room for people to sit where they wanted and be comfortable."
Cons: "My layover in DC was nearly non existent due to the flight from Detroit to DC was a bit delayed, but only by 30 mins at the very most. But what I did not like is that my electronic boarding pass I was using on my phone had become expired for some reason, saying my flight had already left the gate as SOON as I landed in DC, but the flight listings said my flight was on time. I then had to visit a customer service desk for them to check what was going on, to check my flight and print me my boarding pass, but they said "I need to hurry"... I JUST LANDED! I then had to hastily make my way to the other side of the terminal just to make the flight that I should have had just over an hour layover for. Was not happy!"

Pros: "United simply doesn't care about their passengers. They treat us as cattle, can actually fly in-schedule, have filthy terminals, and nickel & dime passengers at every turn! They charge me $125 for a bad just slightly over 50 lb. and then couldn't even get it there on-time in spite of the flight being delayed. Truly incompetent. All United execs want to do is screw the passengers at every turn, while flying cramped old aircraft, while they OVERPAY THEMSELVES MILLIONS while giving passengers The Bird!"

Pros: "It was on time and things went smoothlyi"

Pros: "The captain, crew and gate personnel were very friendly and helpful, despite what I think had been a long day for all of them too. I appreciated their efforts to provide drinks for everyone despite the crazy short flight."
Cons: "I was rather annoyed that the inflight video monitors played commercials for the entirety of the flight (almost no one elected to pay $8 for TV on what was supposed to be about a one hour trip). The cabin was obnoxiously bright as a result, and it was difficult to avoid being distracted and irritated by the flickering. United should have those screens turned off unless users pay for them-- it would save valuable energy too, wouldn't it? I was also frustrated that we were delayed a number of times because of mechanical difficulties, but I'm grateful that we took off knowing everything worked. Between the late in-bound crew and the mehanical hold ups, we could have all taken the bus and arrived sooner."
