The flight was delayed by 95 minutes, which screw up my schedule badly..
Flight attendants are friendly and accommodating. Willing to meet all my reasonable needs. Meals are Ok.
Seats are a little small considering my body size.
Bathrooms were clean. Foot rests were comfortable.
Chairs did not recline much for such a long flight.

Service was nice.
Comparing to recent businesses class flight on Emirates; Singapore airlines seat does not recline to flat bed. Boarded flight st 11pm and arrived at Singapore at 7am. Toiletries like tooth brush and paste, razor etc. were not provided. Emirates provides, so we did not pack in-flight.
The people were excellent.
I had planned to check an extra piece of luggage, gifts and purchases for church needs. They wanted to charge me $3,655(!!!) for that. Absurd. I had to leave the suitcase behind. I will probably fly on a different airline whenever I go to Russia now.
The business class bed was the best I have yet encountered. The food and service were great. And the stews? Gorgeous and so agreeable. One young lady even helped me with my back injury; turns out she was studying physical therapy. You can't find a better ride than that,

Crews, food. Also Transfer Lounge in Xiamen is a good place without charge.
Boarding because we have to take bus at Xiamen airport.Also, security checks at Xiamen are very complicated.

How are these people still in business? The only people answering customer service hotlines were from the main HQ who only spoke Chinese and would immediately transfer callers to a line for “forgeiners” which would just ring awhile and then disconnect. Same thing happened for at least 10 different people stranded by cancelled flights, even had people trying to call for me from the US. A travel agency was able to switch my friends flights, only to be blocked at his gate by an uninformed Xiamen agent saying he needed a visa for his layover in China, ultimately forcing him to buy a whole new ticket. Xiamen never answered, reimbursed, or recitified any of this. On the flight there, flight attendants had attitudes and SMOKED IN AIRPLANE, it STANK like an ashtray!!! And the food was the worst I ever encountered.
Crew, comfort, food, entertainment.
I was denied a boarding pass and was not allowed to transit through China, because of a visa that was needed I was not told about by Kayak.com. Therefore, being the last day I was allowed to stay in Thailand, I had to scramble to find an outbound flight the same day, including paying almost double the cost of the original flight. The Thai check-in agent told me to never transit through mainland China again, because the visa requirement information that is not provided.
The food was surprisingly good. I would have expected some of it from a restaurant, not an airline. The in-seat entertainment was functional and had a lot of things to watch and games to play.
Nothing really. We have to keep in mind that an airline can only do so much to help us get through flights that are many hours long. This Xiamen flight was about as good as I can imagine a long international flight could be.
