Pros: The flight attendants were very attentive and polite, seats are some of the most comfortable of any airline I've flown (particularly compared to the US domestics), and entertainment is solid (although the English movie selection was not that large). I would definitely recommend JAL to others.

Pros: The flight from Chicago to Tokyo was delayed, which made me worried that I would miss the connection to Taipei. I was very happy to discover that an airline staff person was waiting for me when I got off the plane, having already changed me to another Taipei flight. She explained things and guided me to the right place. She was able to walk amazingly fast for a woman wearing high heels!

Pros: My wife and I made the rookie mistake of showing up to the wrong airport in Osaka but the JAL staff helped us by transferring our reservation to a later flight so that we were still able to make our connecting flight from Tokyo to San Francisco. We wouldn't have to drag two large suitcases and a rollaboard after checking out of customs and immigration very far. Same airport to land and depart. Well the arrival airport was changed to Narita $32.00 per person for Airport Limobus to Haneda. We get off at Haneda and are informed we cannot stay there and wait at the domestic airport for our 6:25 am flight to Naha. We had to load all 6 pieces of luggage on the shuttle bus and transfer to the international terminal because they close the domestic terminal at midnight. There was no hotel accommodations at the domestic airport as the hotel was booked two months in advance!!! We had to wait at the international airport terminal till 4:30 am when we then transferred back to the domestic terminal with our 6 pieces of luggage. Tell me how happy you'd be!!!

Even worse: chaotic deplaning with one crew member telling passengers to deplane and another yelling at them in the bridge for doing so. A mess of lines trying to get a new boarding pass for a rebooked missed connection—at the front of the line the agent said oh, you need to wait in this other line. Agents had no clue where to direct passengers and gave incorrect directions that necessitated more waiting. No updates to new flight time in the business class lounge. Once the flight was in the air, service was terrible. Attendants would ask for orders, then never bring them or bring the wrong thing.

Cons: Baggage rules on itinerary didn’t match reality. Baggage 7kg was enforced, check in bags almost empty as documents & computers weigh a lot, and cant be trusted to “check-in”. If I had know we could check in four bags free it would have made a big difference. The itinerary says one each, plus one for Premier status, which adds up to three in our case. Not a happy camper. Will avoid EVA when there are other good choices. My wife had advised against EVA to begin with, check-in confirmed her advice. Crew didn’t come by much with water or juice, but they were courteous. Seat belt sign was put on when bumpy, but not turned off for the next hour or two of smooth sailing. “I told you so” was here reaction . . . .
Pros: Excellent and responsive service from what must be the most attractive flight attendants on the planet. Seats even in basic economy are very comfortable with adequate legroom for my 250 lbs frame. Food is good with two choices and an option to customize online prior to the flight; and drinks are offered several times during the flight with numerous choices plus hot coffee and tea. Restrooms are cleaned several times during the flight and are stocked with amenities like toothbrush and paste, blindfold for sleeping, lotions etc.

My small carry-on bag was 2 pounds overweight so they made me check it, they weigh every bag. We were looking forward to our flight because we had been told by several people that emirates Airline was special… It was not.

Aircraft was very cramped- no room to walk in the aisle without hitting the aisle seats. Overhead compartments were crammed full and it was very difficult to find space for a small bag.
Cons: They recently started charging unnecessary excess fees for overweight. I traveled from Seattle to Hyderabad via Dubai. I carried my cabin bag from Seattle with weight of 9kgs and purchased few duty free items of 2kgs(2 liquor bottles and1 dates box). They have asked me to pay $150 for excess weight. One passenger traveled from Houston with a bag of 11kgs. Items include 1 laptop documents and tablet. She didn't shop in Dubai. She was allowed in Houston but was charged $100 in Dubai for same weight.

Cons: Be sure to take your own water bottle with you on this long 14 hour flight. Both directions it seemed that the company approach to beverages was to serve as little as possible, perhaps to keep people out of the bathrooms. But the cabin air was so dry I could barely swallow at times one way drinking only what was provided, but the other way I noticed that my jet lag was greatly reduced when I carried and consumed an extra liter or two above what was provided. At one gate the security crew asked me to dump my water, but I had a small empty bottle with me that I could fill up at the spigot near the bathroom on the plane as needed.
Cons: Was required to check my small roll aboard because I had a backpack, while other passengers were allowed to carry on multiple large items.
Pros: Great food and entertainment options on this flight. I appreciated that the flight crew asked all passengers to close the window drapes so we could all sleep. The chairs in economy seem to lay back further than other airlines which made it more comfortable.

The lady at the counter asked me what time my flight was and I said 6:20 and right off the bat she was extremely rude and said that I missed the flight. I panicked internally and asked her how that was possible?! She said the cutoff was at 5:45am and I missed it. I asked if there were other flights available today or tomorrow and she said there was nothing she could do and that I had to call the booking company to see if they could book me. I wanted to cry because my friend had just dropped me off and I called to see if she was close enough to turn back. Luckily she hadn’t left yet. I called the booking company and they were able to book me a trip for the following day but they charged me an additional $100. I wish they had disclosed that we need to be there 45 minutes to an hour early otherwise you miss your flight. And it’s ridiculous that I had to pay an extra $100... financially it was stressful due to the covid 19 situation. I was extremely disappointed in how the lady at the check in counter at American Airlines treated me. She www extremely rude and I have never been spoken to in a way that made me feel attacked.

Pros: One of the few non-stop flights between Seattle and Philadelphia. Timing is perfect if you can sleep on a red-eye flight. Fairly empty flight. enough empty seats to move and stretch out.
Cons: No entertainment center built-in to the seats. On board WiFi can be used to access movies and other entertainment on the your own device but make sure your battery is charged and you have an external battery also since the seats don't have power. I tried to sleep but it is not easy for me to fall sleep when the seat back reclines only 3 inches so I didn't have luck taking a nap. Conclusion: I am not taking this flight any more. I will go back to taking will switch back to flying Delta even though there are no direct flights.

Cons: Boarding could be improved if they would start boarding from the back of the plane to the front after boarding 1st class and Priority this way people would not block the passage when putting their luggage in the top compartments. The crew was not very helpful because I almost went into a hypothermia condition because the air in the cabin was extremely cold. When I ask for a blanket one of the stewardesses said that AA would no longer have blankets in flight which I prove it wrong when I saw in the flight Mai-SDQ blanquets all over the cabin. The soliton they gave me was that they would ask the crew to raise the temp in the cabin, I had to make the request three times and I had to tell the stewardess that if not raising the temperature in the cabin I could have gone into an emergency hypothermia crisis. I had to take another shirt from my carry-on to put it over my shirt to warm me up.
Cons: Flights had to be changed due to a delay on first flight that would make it impossible to take the connecting flight. My route and airlines were completely changed, which caused a big delay in original arrival time. In addition to that, my luggage did not make it and I'm still waiting to find out where my suitcases are. Very disappointed.

Cons: The boarding process for just about any airline is nearly identical. It always seems like it takes longer to board than expected even if, in reality, it's not an unreasonable amount of time. The only think I didn't care for was that overhead storage in the area I was sitting was just about full by the time I was seated which meant that I had to store my carry on a few rows behind where I sat. This meant that during off-boarding I needed to go against the flow of people to get back to my carry on. All in all, it was a minor inconvenience.

Cons: I was told I would be able to choose the seats only 24 hours before the flight by going online. I tried to choose the seats online but could not have access to the site. I then called the number provided to ask for more help, and was told that I could then only choose the seats at the check in time. I was at the airport 2 hours before the flight schedule to book my seat and was told them that I could only choose the seats at the gate. Once I got at the gate I asked the person to please give me a seat at the aisle for medical reasons but after waiting until the boarding process had started I was giving a middle seat. Not only I was treated as a stand by passenger that had not purchased the tickets I was put nt on group 8 and at the moment of boarding the gate personal aggressively grabbed my carry-on bag because they insisted there was no more spaces in the compartment above heads. Once I got inside of airplane I saw many empty compartments available for carry-on luggage. I wish I had not purchased my ticket with Iberia Airlines operated by American Airlines. It was not a good, pleasant experience and do not recommend. I wil certainly avoid in the future and not travel this way another time. Thanks

Cons: No food! except pretzels and sandwiches for purchase. I didn't purchase a sandwich but the two guys next to me did and were both vocal about their disappointment with what they received for $9. And they were strangers who didn't talk to each other the rest of the time, so I think they meant it. Also, entertainment: they had a movie on the pop-down screens, and 4 free movies to stream to your device using onboard wifi, as well as 2 tv shows. So maybe I'm being harsh. But it was a transcontinental flight and they didn't have headrest screens loaded with movies. Is this only for international flights? The movies were bad, or at least not appealing to me ('Keanu' and 'Zoolander 2'). It was possible to pay for additional movies, but who wants to do that? It was sort of the EasyJet model, where you get good basic service but pay for everything additional that one gets for free on Delta. Maybe that was reflected in the price I paid for the ticket, but I was expecting that AA would be in the same league as United and Delta. One nice perk: free wifi for T-Mobile customers, including me.

The attitude at the ticket counter was "you're lucky to get any seat", flight was overbooked, the boarding process and deplaning were absurd with all the people bringing on way too much carry on luggage !!!
