Cons: "A Japan Airlines employee escorted me every step of the way to ensure that I made my connecting flight from Tokyo to San Diego because I only had an hour and ten minute layover and this can be challenging when you’re in a foreign country. I cannot thank Japan Airlines enough for how easy they made traveling and how comfortable they made me feel. I Highly recommend flying Japan Airlines for your travels."

Cons: "The JAL website specified most trans-atlantic flights with the newer and more spacious seating in Premium Economy. Departing from San Diego, this was only an option once a year I was told at the check in counter. I was counting on extra width and legroom as I am 270 lbs and 73" tall. I was disappointed that these up-gradable seats were not available. I also did not like that we sat on the Oksaka tarmac at a divert airport from Narita (Tokyo) and were not given an option to leave the plane and find alternate transportation of our choice to get us to our destination. I understand the high winds and bad weather was not allowing us to land on time, but we sat on the tarmac for 2 1/2 hours and then left to fly into Narita 5 hours late."

The food and beverage options were comparable to most airlines like Delta, United, etc, but presentation was better so they get style points. Their wifi connectivity was far better than Gogo's services, which is the provider for most domestic airlines. The real improvement compared to most my travel was the level of service. The staff was incredibly attentive."

We felt terrible for the person to the lady's left and right. And then in the middle of the flight her dog pooped all over the floor! And the poor Stewardess' (they were SO wonderful) had to clean up the mess. Then the lady had to clean up more pee and poop and left all that mess right in front of my feet and handbag (which I put under the seat)! I had to hold onto my handbag and shoes the entire trip bc it was touching the pile of dirty paper towels! I couldn't eat the meal due to the gross situation, and I was very upset about this situation all bc of this one lady who had no regard for the ppl around her and behind her! I don't know what your policies are concerning bringing a dog on a plane, but it ruined my flight. I love Korean Air, and love the service and the stewardess' professionalism and attentiveness, but this has made me think twice about flying anywhere on Korean Air!"

They were stacked side by side and did not have a "personal pod" formation which in my honest opinion is quite a waste of thousands of dollars you paid to travel. Additionally, the entertainment was just okay. There were not too many great options of movies and for the old plane, the screens were really bad."

I understand this carrier needs to cater to a broad cultural and geographic audience, but I think they make it too complicated. Giving meal service a decidedly Japanese angle results in main courses that are mush, and sides that are OK. Good yogurt, decent fruit, delicately prepared salads, delicious cookies and hagen daz are pretty simple and make the meals fun. (especially since chop sticks are always included), but the ovens turn the main courses into a stinky and kinda nasty thing. I wish they would simplify."

Pros: "This was my first time flying ANA (LAX to Haneda and back) and I have to admit it was surprisingly great. I am a pretty tall guy and found the room for my feet in economy to be more than adequate even though i found myself in a middle seat both flights. The flight attendants were extremely attentive, even as my flights were both overnight/red-eyes. The selection of movies available at each seat was pretty good and included your standard Hollywood stuff along with a decent selection of Japanese film, television, and various documentaries. Whether or not subtitles are available for non-Japanese speakers for Japanese language media was kind of hit and miss (I actually did browse around quite a bit), but I was impressed nonetheless. I would warn some western based travelers that they may not find the food to be all that appetizing. I chose the Japanese style option both flights (rice, miso, salad, fish), however I know that had I had any of my family members along for the flight they would have gone with the international option and they probably wouldn't have enjoyed it all that much."

They lost my bags. In Hong kong, I was told the designated smoking area in the terminal was close and the steward encouraged me to go...I almost missed the flight even though I didn't even make it to where she directed me. It was not close, she was a liar. They lost my bags. They kept calling me sir despite my corrections and obvious female anatomy. They had no remorse or apologies for their errors"

Pros: "As usual, plane is in good shape and crew are well trained. Nothing wrong with all the basics, but Singapore Air has definitely lost its lustre."
Cons: "For heaven's sake, please don't announce a boarding procedure and then not follow it. If you want to have a free-for-all rugby scrum to get on the plane, so be it. But don't announce boarding by rows/groups and then not make even a lame attempt to adhere to it."

Pros: "I am still trying to find my bags. I missed my connection and Jet Blue made me stand in a line to get rebooked for 7 hours. Unprofessional, uncaring. None of this was my fault but everyone who represents Jet Blue treated me as if it were. Never again"

Cons: "I didn't like how Vayasan and Singapore airlines telephone check in both claimed they could not upgrade. It was part of the policy/seating I bought. They were wrong, the airlines at San Francisco airport did it without blinking, after checking my visa status."

Cons: "Be more descriptive with which connecting flights we need to go on. We were not aware we we're supposed to get on Silk Air as one of our connecting flights, but we did eventually figure it out. It would really help to let us know your subsidiary companies."

Pros: "For medium range flights SQ uses A330s. Business class is really OK, not great. Each passenger can freely choose any configuration of the seat without inconveniencing others. Food is great, both in presentation and taste, and serve with refined courtesy... I will gladly fly on this aircraft again on my way back."
Cons: "The entertainment system has literally hundreds of choices -- many, many movies for all tastes under the sky. But there is one drawback. Each movie starts, not when you are ready, but when the system is ready ; you cannot pause, resume it, no fast-forward..."

Pros: "Overall, the Singapore Airlines team are always professional and friendly. They pay attention to every detail and try to make sure everyone is as comfortable as possible. One of my favorite things about this airline is that snack and juice are readily available throughout the entire flight without bothering the flight attendants, say in the middle of the night. This includes fresh fruit and juice, which in my book is a huge plus. Their bathrooms are always clean and include extra cosmetic amenities."
Cons: "Sometimes I feel like the cuisine is a bit too Asian and spicy. I had the fish curry and paid for it later in the flight in the bathroom, if you know what I mean. Also I was disappointed that I could not continue the same movie on this flight, as my previous flight, despite both flights being Singapore Air and using the KrisWorld entertainment system. I think the movies should be the same on each flight. However, the wide selection was great and I watched something else instead and really enjoyed the music selection."

Pros: "Have travelled before many times as an individual and always had a good experience. This was the first time travelled with my infant. I had earlier travelled on Emirates last month . I have to say SIA CREW is miles ahead of any airline and my Experience was nothing short of magnificent. The little things the crew does makes the journey more comfortable and enjoyable."

Cons: "I paid $21k for 3 return flights from Melbourne to Mumbai. I usually fly Malaysia Airlines and it costs us about $13k. I paid more this time for Singapore Air because I thought it might be more comfortable and I really thought they'd have flat beds to sleep. But they had the same angular seats like Malaysian Airlines. There was no point in paying the extra money."

Cons: "- Tiny, cramped seats and aisles. I'd heard the Quatar has more leg room than other airlines. This is definitely not true. If the person in front of me reclined all the way, they crushed my knees and I'm only 5'7". - Bathrooms were dirty by 4 hours into the 14 hour flight. Sinks clogged, garbage can overflowing. Not just one bathroom. Gross. - Worst flight attendant service I've ever had, and I don't expect much since I've traveled a lot. Service was rushed, coffee cart for our side of plane never arrived, when I walked to the back to ask for some, they couldn't find the milk and made a fuss about looking for sugar. Lots of similar examples throughout the flight. - The baggage claim carousel number never appeared on the screens at IAD after landing. Other flights showed but not Quatar. We waited a while then walked around to check them all until we found the right carousel. Never seen this happen before. - One of our bags never appeared, so we waited until all luggage had come out and checked with the counter. They found our bag somewhere and brought it over after a 20 minute wait. No explanation given. Good thing we'd counted bags."

Cons: "I have flown previously with Qatar and was not so impressed. Everything was great this trip up until my return to the United States. I should have suspected a problem when I was requested to change seat in order to assist a family who were in separate seats. Moving was difficult as the plane was being loaded. I managed to get to the seat offered to find someone sitting in it. To top it off the individual was wearing a surgical mask and carrying a large immigration bag. I requested a seat forward but I was denied and I later saw other passengers moved forward to seats that I was denied. If I had known that the flight would have been full of possibility sick immigrants I would have chosen another flight or airline. At certain times the smells were very bad. I felt as a ff member I should have been treated better or been made aware of possible health risks."

Cons: "I never made it to the Yerevan to Doha flight, because Qatar Airways did not get me to my destination in time. They had an emergency landing in The Azores, after turbulence and several passengers got injured, when the pilot failed to warn passengers to put on their seat belts and they flew into the air, hitting the ceiling before falling down. One passenger had a heart attack. Once they de-planed us in The Azores, not a single Qatar Airways employee helped us on site anymore. Passengers were left in the hands of hotel and airport staff. There was very little communication with the passengers. A relief flight was supposed to come in 12 hours. It did not come for another 35. After the emergency landing, some passengers noticed that a wing looked defective. The disruption may not have been due only to bad weather, but a defective plane as well."

The chicken was looking something like a small hot dog served with potatoes which is never a part of Hindu meal. Also the curry was less making the passengers eat dry rice. Some passengers had pickle as choice some had some kind of butter to eat with rice and curry which could never be a combination."

Cons: "It was as messy as it can get,first there was a transfer security while entering Hamad international airport.Then to my surprise there was another check before I entered the gate (12C on 31st of January). There was no communication for this so all the things that I purchased after the transfer security had to trashed. I've no problems with security scans and do whatever you want but why no communication? The security stuff was so bad that they forgot to push my my belongings in a tray after scan.One of my fellow passengers reminded them and when I shouted they did their job. I go through lots of security checks in USA but have never seen such unprofessional way of doing it."
