The crew was lovely. Really nice, and did a wonderful job with the cart service.

We ended up being deleyed about 30 minutes, in damp weather. It's not like it was snowing. Not sure why it took so long. B/c of baggage charges now everyone brings a carry on. This seems to slow the process of boarding as know passengers are asked multiple times to check baggage (for free, which is the one nice thing) before boarding b/c the overheads will be too full. Group 6 which I was in seemed like it was just the rest of the plane. Super busy, took me forever to get to my seat all the way in the back. Why don't airlines reverse board? People sitting in the back should board first. I feel like this would save so much time.

I got there safely.

I will never fly American Airlines again. From the moment I checked in with the ticket agent to getting off the plane it was a disaster. The ticket agent was rude, hostile, and dismissive. Employees walked through the line at security forcing everyone to consolidate their belongings to one bag. I had a large wallet in my hand and was told I had to step out of line to put it in my backpack. They only allow you one bag to carry on without paying extra. At the time of boarding they announced that the overhead storage was full so even those that paid extra were still forced to check their bags. The plane was dirty, the service was slow, overall just gross. They don’t have WiFi or in flight entertainment so I paid the $20 to purchase the WiFi. It was worthless. I couldn’t stream anything, even music kept stopping to buffer. I understand it will be slower then on ground WiFi, but it was impossible to watch anything and a complete waste of money.

I liked having the built in screen on the a321. Americans streaming service has lots to offer but the built in screens have more choices. I get why they want to just offer the streaming but I appreciate all the choices! There was a group number enforcer at the gate to make boarding more organized! She was polite but told the mobs that try to use the premium line to wait their turn.

I asked for upgrades to and from Chicago. I’m a gold member and fly for leisure fairly often. There are so many people looking for an upgrade these days that you’re rarely getting the opportunity

There was an excellent selection of movies to choose from. Breakfast was actually pretty tasty, and snacks and water were offered quite frequently. The seat was reasonably comfortable, and reclines back a decent way. For how huge the plane was, the boarding process was super fast and efficient!

Seats were still rather cramped for my poor husband, who is 6'3. It is very hard to get out of your seat if you're in a window and all the seats on front are fully reclined, and I am relatively spry! Can't imagine an elderly or debilitated person trying to do so! The in flight movies were great, but you had to use the headphones they provide, and none of the 3 pairs I tried worked well. All had constant static. Although the seats recline far, they also do it abruptly and are hard to get to come back up. The dinner (we had the beef) was not very good. The quality of the ground beef was what you would expect from a fast food place. The worst part of the flight was that the sat ALL the infants in the same area on the plane, and all right around us. 5 of them, to be exact. 17 hours of on and off screaming babies! My husband had to move to a different seat to get some sleep! Thankfully, I can sleep through anything. Overall, less terrible than I expected a 17 hour flight to be, but could have been better. Some crew were very nice and helpful and others not so much. The first woman my husband asked told him (rather abruptly) that he wouldn't be able to use his CPAP machine. Then a really nice guy helped him get it set up. The turbulence was a bit scary for me, and the way the captain would announce it didn't help! He'd just say "all passengers and crew be seated and fasted your seat belts" in a rather grim tone as the plane shook violently.

Unfortunately we picked the seats by the toilet, which made sleeping an issue. The space between the seats is quite cramped, very hard to get comfortable for a rest.

When food was served, it’d take at least 30 minutes for the flight attendants to collect rubbish, and since the seats are so small and I can’t keep the tray table open without pinching my spleen, it was really terrible. Ahh Qantas. What a relief after an internal US flight on a US carrier. Spacious, comfortable, on time, good food.They even comped us for luggage delayed that was not their fault.

Qantas provides a nice welcome when your board domestic flights in Australia like the one we took today between Brisbane and Sydney not just on their international flights. They greet you when you board, don't feel like a number like domestic flights in the USA be it American, Delta, United, or one of the others. They provide free premier movie access, serve a nice warm meal and drink, and make you feel welcomed - Keep up the great work Qantas, you could give the USA airlines lessons on how to treat passengers.

Safe landing

Was charged 65 pounds for checking one bag. This was a big news to me. BA claims it was because I booked through Kayak. Would not have booked the flight. The website was pretty bad functionality wise. It took me 2 hours and a couple phone calls to be able to online check in for my flight in advance. Then during my trip I was trying to look at what costs and fees would be associated with changing my flight and extending the trip. I've always wanted to go to all five Manhattan boroughs in one day. Thanks to Delta, that happened.

The plane broke down as we were about to take off. Delta rebooked everyone on to new flights because it was pretty obvious that plane was not going to be fixed in time. The crew did their best given the situation. The situation was absolute bs though - we had to take a cab to JFK for our new flight and do the whole security thing again and all that annoying stuff. Thanks for wasting 8 hours of my life, Delta.

Customer service...very helpful and accommodating. Good food. Easy transfer from domestic to international. On one of our flights, a 39 minute one, they served a substantial snack (yogurt, breakfast biscuits, oj) and tea, coffee, etc. Amazing in that amount of time!

The plane broke down as we were about to take off. Delta rebooked everyone on to new flights because it was pretty obvious that plane was not going to be fixed in time. The crew did their best given the situation. The situation was absolute bs though - we had to take a cab to JFK for our new flight and do the whole security thing again and all that annoying stuff. Thanks for wasting 8 hours of my life, Delta.

Great choice of entertainment. Served good food often with nice menu selection. Seats a bit tight as with all airlines. Fruit was fabulous and fresh - there were none left when I requested mine, but the flight attendant said there may be some left from other servers. Within a few minutes, she did bring one which I was thankful as I didn’t care for the other selection.

Close seats especially when others recline, but we were lucky on this flight no one did as it wasn’t a full flight so people moved around.

The crew and the plan and the service were all top notch. However, their new policy as of 1/1/2018 in which they even charge for coffee and water seems very misplaced and excessive.

nice employees

for the second time on this flight, the onboard devise for credit cards would not accept mine. this is the same card i used to book the flight. i complained to british air last time but they obviously haven't fixed the problem. there seems to be a problem using american credit cards these flights. is is a problem because nothing is free. luck;y a flight attendant did feel bad about it and gave me a glass of water

I liked the check-in kiosk, but only because I had no bags to check. I liked being able to choose my own seat. I liked that the flight was uneventful. I liked the staff at all stages, they were friendly and helpful.

They made me shove my purse into my knapsack to fit within their two bag policy. That's a first for me. My Delta flight did not do that.

Qantas provides a nice welcome when your board domestic flights in Australia like the one we took today between Brisbane and Sydney not just on their international flights. They greet you when you board, don't feel like a number like domestic flights in the USA be it American, Delta, United, or one of the others. They provide free premier movie access, serve a nice warm meal and drink, and make you feel welcomed - Keep up the great work Qantas, you could give the USA airlines lessons on how to treat passengers.

I have to rate British Airways as a 10 out of 10 in almost all categories...comfort of the plane, food and service, boarding, notifications, crew, etc. In particular, the long haul flight from London to Seattle everything was truly top notch!

Their baggage handlers damaged several parts on my checked-in luggage...three zipper pulls and one clasp. What are they doing with the bags? How can they damage so many things in one fell swoop? This is a good quality Atlantic suitcase. Also, on the short flights, in this case Madrid to London, they are now charging for EVERYTHING...even water and coffee. They said it was a new policy as of 1/1/2018.

nice employees

for the second time on this flight, the onboard devise for credit cards would not accept mine. this is the same card i used to book the flight. i complained to british air last time but they obviously haven't fixed the problem. there seems to be a problem using american credit cards these flights. is is a problem because nothing is free. luck;y a flight attendant did feel bad about it and gave me a glass of water

The crew and the plan and the service were all top notch. However, their new policy as of 1/1/2018 in which they even charge for coffee and water seems very misplaced and excessive.

Their new policy as of 1/1/2018 in which they even charge for coffee and water on short flights (Madrid to London in this case) seems excessive, even in this day of ala carte flying. :-(
