Just needed a little more explanation on charges since I bought insurance through kayak and it seems like they charge me again. Also, it would be nice if the counter people are aware of the type of car that is in inventory. That is, know the features. I upgraded since I was told there is apple car play in the car so I can use the GPS. Apparently, there isn't.

The agent offered a upgrade for a fee for a jeep cherokee. I had an issue with my card and had to call them. I walked from the transaction to call the card provider and was assigned a Nissan Rogue. I have hated every Nissan I have driven and would never pay extra to drive one. It was past 9 pm and I still had to go home and load up before leaving on my 800 mile drive to be with my mom who's husband died the next morning. My back still hurts from the low quality nissan seating .

We rented for a month an SUV in order to go from CA to FL. The internal electrical stopped working on our way there. When I called to alert the problem in California, they told me to go to the nearest airport enterprise location in FL. Here, their first answer was that I should take it to a Firestone store to get it checked. I called the nearest Firestone and they told me they couldn't touch the car being so new and low milage; it was the dealership's problem. I called enterprise again and they told me to take it to the nearest dealership. At the dealership they told me that they can't service a car brought in by the customer. With enough frustration built, and the original San Jose office shinning by their absence, I demanded a simple swap of the car but they made me call 4 different enterprise locations in FL looking for an SUV replacement. An assistant manager in Daytona finally managed to put us in a minivan, but all of this took 20 calls and 3 days of painful dodging by their representatives. I will definitely be dodging their service in their future. Not recommend.

Friendly staff.1. Someone picking up the phone (called two open locations, no answer, one said to leave a message). 2. Being given instructions for one-way drop off at airport at time of rental or at least posted in rental car drop off lot. I had to call Enterprise to find out what to do once I parked the car as there was no attendant (Medford, OR). 3. Receiving revised receipt. There "special" car was a huge, double-cab pick up truck. Basically, no trunk and this was an airport pick up. So, I upgraded to a Toyota Corolla. When I dropped off the car, I was told a receipt would automatically be emailed to me but I never received and had to contact customer report for a copy.

Drop off was a nightmare. I dropped it off at another location as the original reservation was, but I was not registered in the system when I picked up the car. The manager and staff did not know what to do and couldn’t assist me. They could not get a hold of the original airport I rented from to finish my registration so they could close my account. I had to call enterprise customer service personally standing in the enterprise office to speak to customer service to help. I spent nearly 2 hours there just trying to drop off my car. Staff and manager were not helpful and did not apologize once.The car was great and clean, no issues there. See above for why I am rating a poorly.

when we returned the rental we received 50% off of the rental for the inconvenience.Had mechanical problems with the rental, took over 17 hours to have someone call us back to exchange the rental and when we tried to go into another Enterprise to exchange the rental no one help us but instead told us to go back to the original Enterprise, which was 50 miles away. It should have been handled in less then 1hour, not 17 hours later.
Was charged additional expenses without any explanation.

Total scam on the coverage!!! We paid $1000 for our 10 day rental and at the time of pick up were told the insurance was not included and that would be an additional $39 per day minimum. Plus all these extra taxes and fees we were stuck with a $700 bill on top of the $1000. There is no way their coverage is worth $40 per day for the baseline. We could have paid less money at a nicer rental car company and not had to stand in line for an hour and a half to get our car at pick up. Terrible experience.

Straightforward process. Car feels cleanThe hood of the car open but there was no indication of it on the car. Found out when it started moving on the freeway. This put my life in danger. Staff should have made sure that the hood was close and the car should have warned the driver that the hood is open.

The staff were very friendly at pick up and drop off and the car was clean. It had a few scratches, but nothing too bad. Fuel economy was better than expected.The price was significantly better than other companies for the same type of car and it would have rated a higher score on value for money if it were not for the fact that the car needed some TLC. The engine sounded rough under load (like it was knocking), it needed oil (which I added) and the convertible top had trouble locking properly when it was lowered. I noticed later that the key had a sticker on it that said "check engine", but it seems that was not done.

They keep pushing you to upgrade or saying that you will get a compact car even when they don’t have any compact cars there. My suggestion is to stay strong to your choices and if it doesn’t work, go back and ask for an upgrade.

The car was clean and the price was very fair. However, see below...I rented a certain class for not only the luxury comfort, but for the size. However, Dollar did not have the car I rented. They first tried to down grade me to a lower class, but larger car. I did not think this was fair so I did not agree. We went through the options and I explained, due to having two of my elder uncles with me and their need for a larger car, I needed something larger. Eventually a larger car was offered, but at a much higher rate. Again, I did not agree as a car in my category should have been available to me. Eventually I was offered another luxury vehicle (supposedly in the same class), but much smaller and the entire weekend we had difficulty getting my uncles in and out of it. Due to the inability to have a car ready for me in the class I rented I would have preferred the “upgrade” to an adequate car but the agent would not agree without additional payment to which I did not think was fair.

I prepaid and Dollar upsold my poor mother. Never again will I use kayak for car rentals.
Did not disclose that there would be a speed limit cap on sports car. Made it difficult and distracting to drive with flow of traffic due to constant alarming. Seems unsafe as well since car would slow down when approaching top speed set by car. If I had to speed up to avoid an obstacle, would prevent me from being able to do so. Ironically, the cap made car more unpredictable and less safe.

Pick-up was very slow. Stood waiting for my car for a half hour before it arrived. Asked clerk about the delay and she said that was normal... My vehicle was a great model, but was filthy inside. They sprayed a bunch of cleaner inside and failed to wipe most of it up. There were chips or cracker crumbs all over the seat and middle console. I would have returned the vehicle for further cleaning, but was already late for an appointment due to the initial wait.

The experience was awful. They gave me a wrong car and when I went back to change it the worker was very very rude and didn’t want to help us. Tried to explain to the workers that because of their mistakes I can’t get the car back in time because I lost a lot of time bringing the car back because they were closed for 6 hours and I got my car last minute. Center console compartment was totally of cigarette ashtray smell. Everything I put in there, including all of my masks, had to be trashed because it was like putting it on directly from an ashtray. They should have had people at the payless counter instead of shuffling people over to the avis/budget counter. It took about 30 to 45 minutes just to get to the counter and another 20 minutes to get the car. If I didn't budget my time, I would have been late for our family event.

The Payless counter was closed and directed everyone to the budget car rental counter which was an extremely long line. We landed at 2pm and went straight to pick up the car. We were in line by 2:10pm and we didn’t get to the front of the counter until 3:30pm. We finally got sent to pick up the car in which took an additional 30 mins of waiting to get the car turned into us. By the time we were driving off the San Jose airport it was 4pm. That placed a dent in all our plans and reservations we had planned on our trip. It was really saddening to know that no one even tried to assist or apologize for wait times. The staff was not friendly in the car pick/drop off area.

The staff was helpful. When I picked up the car, it had a half tank of gas. They told me to return it with the same amount, which I did. But when I got there, they charged me for the remainder for a full tank. I went to the desk and the agent there and guy who checked it out a few days before to me were very helpful and corrected it (refunded the difference).

The staff at the pick-up location were very friendly. The car was clean.I ordered a full-size vehicle and they downgraded me to a smaller vehicle without any warning. Didn't even give me a discount. There was nobody at the drop-off location, despite the fact that I arrived at my scheduled time. I had to wait a half an hour just to drop off the key to my car. The rental price was unreasonably high, especially considering I didn't receive the right car.

Previous information about real final costs is very tricky. From a budget online of about 350$ we paid over 1000 $. It seems like the staff member Ahmed Adan was somewhat new and inexperienced, however, his customer skills were excellent and kept ensuring us that he’s doing his best to take care of us. When we went to get our vehicle, it was not in the spot we were told (it was still being washed) so the attendant up there, Michelle, hooked us up with an even better upgrade. Everyone was extremely nice and professional.

There were marks on the door and dash that I had to clean. It made me wonder if the vehicle had been fully sanitized or wiped down. I won’t rent from Fox again, unfortunately.

I have paid in full when I reserved the car on kayak site and when i returned the car with full tank of gas, they still charged me $217.72. there is no phone number to reach out to a real customer service at Sixt and we are still going back and forth. On top of that, when I went to pick up a car, I have reserved Luxury mid size SUV, they rented out the car they told me that they don't have that model and they only had station wagon and they were telling me that it is a compatible car. the guy at the counter was not only helpful with the situation but very rude and had to talk to his supervisor and suggested that I come back to pick up the mid size SUV the next day as if that was a deal that I was getting. I had to waste so much time going back to pick up the car twice at the airport and there are no apologies and now I am having to deal with the charge of $217.72 for not fueling the fee which is a lie.... I would never want to do business with sixt rental car and I will not recommend to anyone.

My flight was cancelled last minute due to weather and I was unable to make the trip. The only way to contact them is through email and their customer service is worse than Comcast. They still have yet to send an invoice for cancellation charges. I have used them before, but now I'll pay extra to go with a different rental agency. SixT best bang for the buckCheap price and no wait. Because SixT is less well known than the others, the lines for pick up were atrocious at Hertz, Avis, etc but non-existent at SixT. Mildly slick attempt at getting us to choose un-needed insurance (aren't they all?) but otherwise super-attentive service. No prob with the car at all. Drop off was a breeze.A couple of dents in the car not documented at pick-up - we had to note these and have them write then down before we took off with the vehicle.

Staff was inept and inexperienced to handle a simple situation. We liked the car model.The car was not cleaned at all. Surprising they rented out without cleaning and sanitizing in COVID times. After bringing this issue to the agent, he said he could not help it. I was mad but had no option but to take it. Myself and two of my family members cleaned the car inside out for two hours before starting the trip. Horrible experience. Won’t rent from Avis again.

Below satisfactory rental experience - overallThey did have availability of the van. Ran well.wrong address was provided by Kayak. They gave us 15 seat passenger van with zero cargo space. They did not even tell us about this upfront. Also i had to wait 45 minutes at the rental space for them to finish cleaning up, and they changed the rental vehicle at the last minute. Van was not fully cleaned. The back seats were very dirty.

Well worth the off airport location.The people were very friendly and customer service oriented. A quick call brought them to pick us up in a shuttle service back to their office less than 10 minutes from the airport. Their rental vehicles were 2018 new and the process went very smoothly. Should family trips take us back near any of their areas, I have no issues calling them first based off this experience.Two small issues were 1. the rental didn’t have plates and as it turned out to be minimal, the higher risk of being pulled over and dealing with a patrol officer was there and 2. a miscommunication that we could have used the rental to be dropped off back at the airport instead of unloading and reloading luggage into their shuttle would have topped the experience off nicely. Minimal affect on the experience as a whole.

What was offered is not the same as advertisedVan was spacious. Large cargo space.Van was old with 90k miles on it. AC grills at the passengers in the back were broken or removed. No air flow control. Gas tank cover was broken. Step to the rear passengers area was very high and difficult to claim and step out. My wife fell down from the step and injured her leg. Van had only 17gallons per mile. Advertised as 23. Mandatory insurance $29.99 a day, instead of advertised $11/day. We were told that it is because it’s a commercial van, but we never been told so in advertising.
