My suggestion is that instructions in Vietnamese should be made more often to avoid chaos particularly when deplane."

But no checkin counters were open. The first check-ins began 3 hours prior to take off. By that time the line was backed all the way out into the main corridor. It would be MUCH better for ANA and the customer to begin the checkin process 3.5 to 4hours prior instead of 3."

Pros: "After some considerable panic at losing my long confirmed seat assignment as a result of weather problems in Tokyo, the doors ended up closing with at least 20 empty seats in coach. (Boeing 777-300)"
Cons: "Although it is served with care, the food on ANA (in coach) ends up being a bit too Japanese. I understand this carrier needs to cater to a broad cultural and geographic audience, but I think they make it too complicated. Giving meal service a decidedly Japanese angle results in main courses that are mush, and sides that are OK. Good yogurt, decent fruit, delicately prepared salads, delicious cookies and hagen daz are pretty simple and make the meals fun. (especially since chop sticks are always included), but the ovens turn the main courses into a stinky and kinda nasty thing. I wish they would simplify."

Cons: "I was travelling with my twin 11 yr olds one of whom has limited sight. They normally only allow early boarding of young children, but we need extra time as I have 2 children to organise and my daughters sight dictates that i have to assist her. Other passengers were not impressed. I would like the airlines to take the initiative to have all children boarded early as if we board with everyone else, the aisles will be blocked as my children try to get organised."

Pros: "The large windows on the 787 are really a big plus for someone like me who likes to look out the window. To have the added ability to dim the window progressively is just too cool. Even if the sun is bright, you can still look out and enjoy the view. I love this feature of the 787 and am always a little disappointed when I'm back in any other aircraft."

With a warm blanket provided, I would suggest keeping the cabin a bit cooler and providing extra blankets if people need them. Also the movie selection on ANA is not nearly as comprehensive as what United provides on international flights."

Some of the flight attendants were very unfriendly and seemed to be bothered by the fact they had to do their job. The entertainment system had to be rebooted multiple times and the usb on the seats didn’t work. They ran out of food during lunch."

In general, the service was quite poor, making me wonder how does Delta treat the flight attendants, for they seemed tired and careless. The above did not happen in any of my other flights: Atlanta-Guadalajara, Guadalajara-CDMX, CDMX-Atlanta."

Pros: "The seats were comfortable, and I appreciate the eye shades. There was a tremendous amount of turbulence on the flight that seemed to last for hours without a break. I have flown this route many times before and don’t remember turbulence that lasted so long without a change. The seatbelt sign was not on and the plane felt like a small boat in choppy waters."

You don't get assigned a seat until YouTube up at the airport... That's fine, not really a big deal. But because you didn't select a seat, they don't let you print or view your boarding pass on your phone, forcing you to go to the checking desk. For someone that has TSA pre check and travels alot, all that extra time adds up and can sometimes cause you to miss your flight. Because there is on "fast line" when you check-in like there is at the security check point. I only have this problem with Delta, never American airlines..."

Cons: "Was not able to check in online. Was not able to select my seat online. I was told I would be able to do both of these things. Spent 30 minutes trying to find a number to someone at Delta to check in & select seat. I was in Australia & all Delta offices were closed because it was Sunday. Although I had an internationally calling plan, no calls to Delta US would go through. finally found someone through a back channel that would help me. We boarded an hour late, and staff would not answer any of our questions about what was going on or how late we would arrive (they sped up the fight so that we landed on time). Flight ran out of drinking WATER after the first service. Half of our section (Economy Plus) was skipped for snacks. An unruly child was allowed to scream for almost the entire flight & was running up & down the aisles. NOTHING was said to the parents by staff members. Was absolutely the worst behaving child with who I've had to fly."

Cons: "All "carry-ons" were taken at the jetway, which was fine. But, when we landed, as passengers were trying to get off of the plane, the attendants were putting all of the collected luggage at the entry to the jetway. It created congestion. Then, anyone who had luggage, had to lineup against the side of the jetway, awaiting their luggage, and increasing the congestion. First, it was inconvenient. Worse, if there was any kind of emergency, I believe it would have created a unsafe environment. Very Poor Design & Process ! ! !"

Cons: "Airlines in general need to enforce the carry on luggage rules. If it doesn't match the dimensions for the carry on specks then make the people Check it. Don't let it go. If I paid for a seat and I'm allowed two carry ons then there should be room for them. Don't ask people to check bags because of a full plane. The crew should have there own place to store their belongings, not where the passengers do and take their space. The life rafts need to be easy to get to but again should take up a spot a passenger has paid for their luggage to go. If that is the only space for these items then don't allow passengers to bring two items if in those seats or on the whole plane. It's really disappointing when your told you may have to check your bag because there's not enough room."

Pros: "I'm an American ex-pat who travels to and from between the US and Australia. I do whatever I can to fly on Australian rather than American airlines, as they are always much better in every regard. But in this case it wasn't feasible, and I found myself on a Delta flight. I'd say the overall experience was somewhere between okay-good. Nothing major to complain about, but nothing to rave about either. The entertainment options were decent. I appreciated the variety of newly released movies. However, I would have liked a greater selection of TV shows, and the availability of more episodes. I also appreciated the availability of internet access, but I don't understand why it has to be quite *so* pricey. Surely they could make a bit more on greater volume if they dropped the price a bit. I didn't purchase access, but I would have if it were 40-50% cheaper. The comfort of the plane seemed the same as any of the alternatives. Boarding and deplaning were as they should be."
Cons: "The service from the crew though was simply ok. They were just friendly enough not to be rude, but no more than that. Virgin Australia and Qantas consistently have much happier crews, who make you feel like a dignified guest, even in economy. The food was average at best, and they served two meals where the Australian airlines would serve three on the same flight. They also offered less in the way of snacks and drink refills. It seemed like they were cutting corners here, which I don't appreciate on a 15 hour flight. Also, they said they "proudly serve Starbucks coffee". After drinking it, I don't think they should be proud of that! Again, overall it was a decent experience. Nothing flashy, but nothing too bad either. If the costs are comparable for your flight, you should certainly choose one of the Australian carriers. You'll get better service from the crew and better food. The one caveat, however, is that Delta has WiFi, whereas at the date of writing this, the Australian carriers do not. While access is exorbitant, if you really need to get some work done on the plane, you might choose Delta for this reason alone."

Pros: "Fairly comfortable and uneventful. The flight was delayed for an hour and a half, so we arrived in L.A. later than expected. The crew was excellent and friendly, Boarding was a bit crazy but in the end we all found our seat. My flight attendant was terrific. She did all she could to fix the problem to no avail, Kudos to her."

Cons: "Connection flight from LAX to Seattle was dropped off of booking completely. When Delta was able to fix the changes in Sydney Australia they put my husbands ticket as a standby instead of putting him in an assigned seat and reported that they couldn't fix it that we would have to wait and get to LAX before the changes could be made again. There was a one and a half hour flight delay from LAX to Seattle. From Sydney Australia to LAX entertainment system didn't work the whole entire flight, they were screaming children the entire flight, and Delta had double booked seats on several different people. There were no apologies and no compensation for any of the incidences."

Cons: "The flight was bought through Virgin Australia and without much notice, the flight was switched to Delta. The seats were amply smaller, amentities were not good (blankets and pillows). Food was terrible and was not as promised when the purchase was made through Virgin. Seats were so bad that my back and butt hurt after a couple hours. I would rather pay a couple hundred dollars more to have a quality flight experience."

Pros: "The leg room and the recline was the best I’ve had in a budget economy class, and I was not expecting a snack and two full meals. They also gave each of us a flower when boarding. It was a charming touch."

The entertainment offered quite a few options as there were quite a number of movies if different genres and recent releases. I would definitely recommend them over some more expensive airlines."

Cons: "I don't know if this is representative but we were late both ways (2 hrs and 1 hr). Differently from other airline I've used to do this trip they don't go and offer water during the flight. You can go to get some drinks yourself of course but this is not always easy when your neighbor is sleeping."

The airline sat us in middle seats 4 rows away from each other (there was no reason for it since we both had single people on the aisles next to us). The attendant started calling the next numbers before the first group had a chance to get through all the people waiting! You couldn't push thru the crowd because others in front of you were in the same predicament. People were asked to stay in their seats until their numbers were called but they didn't listen. We were an hour late taking off. Food was not very good and I'm not a picky eater. Rolls were hard as a rock and The eggs were uneatable. The lady in front of me reclined her seat all the way back and slept the whole flight so I was uncomfortable the whole way home and couldn't sleep. Her seat was resting on my knees. Very hard to eat off a tilted tray table. Seats very close together so hard to get to the remote."

Cons: "The flight was delayed, the food wasn't good at all, because I was traveling with a cast on my left foot I asked for a front seat a week before my flight and when I asked at the counter at the airport they say that they wouldn't be able to give me a front seat, the lady at the counter wasn't nice at all, she didn't help and it felt that she wasn't trying to help me or to manege any other solution."

Very uncomfortable to not be able to move for 8 hours!!!!"

Pros: "This is a direct flight from Paris to LA so you don't have to pick up your luggage to go through customs when you go back to the US. You save a lot of time! I had 2 seats for myself. The cabin looks very attractive because of its colors. The Tahitian music is relaxing. It is also nice to see the crew with a Tahitian outfit, Tahitian pearls... You kind of travel without going to Tahiti! The crew is always very pleasant. The food is better than with any American airline."

Pros: "My wife and I have planned a trip to Bora-Bora since we got married in the 80s. I had said that I would not make that long trip without a first class ticket and followed through with this our recent trip. Although the ticket was quite expensive, it was worth every penny. Air Tahiti Nui really understands what "First Class" should be like -they pamper you! They deliver course after course of amazingly good quality food and more drinks than you can possibly consume. All of the flight attendants were sincerely interested in making sure we were all happy...a wonderful experience! darn worth the investment! highly recommended! And remember, this is just the lead-up to arriving in Tahiti; things will only get better when you disembark."

Pros: "According to our reservation we had seat assignments (not marked seat requested) but when we checked in they assigned us seats in the back of the plane. When we showed theconfirmation and seat assignments they checked and said a family with children has priority so they gave our 2 seats to them. However when we got on the plane we saw that it was not a family but 2 separate individuals. Not sure why they got our seats but it obviously was not because of a child. Another flight with them several days earlier we also got our seats reassigned but the flight confirmation on that leg said seats requested so when they reassigned us we could justify the airline thought that request is different than assigned."

Pros: "The pillows, blankets, socks, eye mask and head phone were all set out. No need to ask. I liked that there were drinks and snacks available thus eliminating the flight staff fr hauling carts up & down the isles allowing for more rest on the plane."

Airlines that still charge passengers for in-flight entertainment deserve a special sort of hatred that they receive, and United is the worst for this. Charging for wifi and movies is straight out of the year 2000, and that's squarely where United is. If JetBlue can offer free wifi, complementary movies and TV, snacks that are not stale, and an extra inch of legroom so can United. I hate this airline."

Cons: "I did not like how we were treated by the United Airline Crew front desk when we were getting our boarding pass, they immediately say that due to myself having a Philippine Passport and A US Green Card holder they needed to check with Japan Immigration and in the end of waiting they said that we can’t board the plane because of my citizenship status and I needed to get a Japan VISA, I felt discriminated for something I do not know about when I purchased the tickets via online it doesn’t even show if there were any requirements needed in order for me to travel to Japan. My overall Review is a big ZERO and Unsatisfactory of how they treat their customers."

Why you are asking customers to download the United app instead of providing onboard entertainment like almost every other airline in the world is unknown to me. The airlines top people obviously have no interest in providing any comfort for the those who are unwilling to pay the extra money. I do not understand why the airlines believes people should have to pay for their own meal on a 7 hour flight when they've already shelled out the money for the flight. In addition, why should I have to pay an extra $89 for a so-called premium aisle seat? It's completely inexplicable that the state of all airlines in America have fallen to this level."

Cons: "we were not able to check in at the kiosk, it was saying that we need further assistance but wasn't giving any reason, nobody could help us with it. we were directed to different stands 3 times were people would just tell us they don't know what to do. the lines everywhere were extremely long with only 1 person working, the lady came up to the line at some point and stating assisting people in line starting from the back end of the line. That was very frustrating. she finally got to us, asked us to come up to the kiosk with her, wasn't been able to help us and then put us back in the end of the line! The lady who was able to help us in the end just said "it was just disconnected." I have no idea what it means but considering that on our way in we had to be on "standby" because the flight was overbooked. the total impressing from United is very poor."

Cons: "Flight got cancelled after being delayed for over 2 hours for mechanical issues. Gate agent was not overwhelmingly helpful or understanding to people's frustrations during the delay and didn't go out of her way to try to help. Customer Service was helpful and able to rebook and provide overnight hotel accommodations, but it was a very slow process that clearly frustrated some customers even more. Clearly not anyone's fault, but still frustrating and not a great flying experience."

Cons: "We were diverted from Pittsburgh because of fog. Other flights landed shortly thereafter from other airlines which was frustrating, but a short delay did not ruin the day. We landed instead at Dulles. After sitting and waiting for hours we were finally all put back on the plane. Then we taxied out before the pilot told us they were over their hours or something along those lines and couldn't submit the paperwork necessary to take off. We went back to the gate and were told to wait some more in case there were more pilots. No more pilots came. No more flights were available. Instead we all hovered either around the gate desk or the customer service desk where we were told we couldn't be helped. We were instead forced to pile onto buses nearly 5 hours after we had landed at the wrong airport. We then spent another 6 hours on the road driving to Pittsburgh on a bus that was crowded and hot because the air conditioning kept failing. Because of some fog and a lot of incompetence, I arrived in Pittsburgh over 12 hours after I was supposed to. My trip in total lasted 20 hours from my flight in Seattle taking off. I missed an important event for the wedding that weekend, which was upsetting given the distance I had to travel and the amount of extra time I had scheduled in for myself, but the way we were treated was worse. There was no positive communication. Nobody knew anything. We were clearly an inconvenience that nobody knew what to do with so they just kept trying to push us off to the next person. It was infuriating and unacceptable I will never fly United again if I can possibly help it."
