Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "The crew did great"
Cons: "During covid-19 they are not even attempting at providing a modicum of social distancing. Every seat in both of my flights was completely filled, meaning that we were squished up next to everyone despite any efforts to stay 6ft away from each other in the airports. Many passengers were wearing their masks incorrectly (not covering their nose, TAKING OFF THE MASK TO SNEEZE) and were not being asked to wear their mask properly by staff. I felt completely unsafe and won't be flying American again until there is a vaccine for covid."
Pros: "Everything was easy"
Pros: "Boarding crew in Spokane was friendly and very efficient."
Cons: "There were no snacks - they told us they “ran out” on the previous flight and hadn’t refilled yet."
Pros: "borden pass hade no gate no."
Pros: "comfortable seats, legroom,"
Cons: "seat recline, food, offer lounge access"
Cons: "This flight, along with the bulk of AA flights, were cancelled, leaving me stranded and missing work meetings."
Cons: "The aadvantage app kept crashing so we couldnt watch movies during our overall 8+ hrs travel, on both legs"
Pros: "The crew was very nice"
Cons: "It was too warm and a bit uncomfortable"
Pros: "Nice seating"
Cons: "They asked who would give there seat up for 600$ future flight credit and The first two people could be eligible. They ignored me (who was first) for a white couple who Came after me, and they got chosen and got the flight credit, but I was as clearly first. So I think it was more of a racist matter"
Pros: "Chicken wrap"
Cons: "No individual screens on back of seat rests. Old tube televisions in the ceiling, in the aisle walkway that don’t retract. No WiFi. Which means not even movies on your own device."
Cons: "The flight is delayed for 5 hours without any compensation"
Cons: "Least comfortable flight I've ever been on. It is hard to mess up the boarding process so that was okay, but the seats were cramped and awful. there was no crew around to offer water or anything. No snacks or anything to do for a 5 hour flight. long lines for the bathroom. Luckily I brought a tablet, but having no room whatsoever to move and never even seeing a flight attendant that i could ask for water made for a miserable flight."
Pros: "Efficient boarding and on time departure."
Cons: "Flight was fine. Wanted to change ticket to allow more connection time between DCA and JFK and the first two sales representative sucked. I considered never flying American again. On board crew was great."
Cons: "Cabin temperature was probably 60 degrees. Could understand if we left a 90 degree city. But not on an early morning flight with 70 degree ambient temps when we took off. I’ve been warmer in mid January flights from Chicago."
Cons: "Was missed due to delayed flight"
Cons: "The aircraft was tiny and we were delayed"
Pros: "Entertainment offered several options to choose from"
Cons: "Food, only one beverage was offered"
Cons: "Broken plane, re-route and conflicting inaccurate email updates."
Pros: "The plane had really soft, puffy, comfy headrests. These were the best headrests I've ever encountered on any flight. I wish these were on every plane."
Cons: "1. Departure gate gets inexplicably moved to an entirely different concourse. 2. Gate agent offers to check bags through to destination, then when I go up, offers to gate-tag my bag. Why did you say you could check the bags through, then? 3. The long, ridiculous AA boarding process consisting of 9 groups and 2 short lanes, taking about 20 minutes to get 30 people outside. 4. 30 people wander around outside on the tarmac, trying to find a sign for Albuquerque. 5. BAGGAGE HANDLERS tell some of the passengers that the planes have been switched, and we should now board the plane marked Flagstaff. 6. Gate agents come outside, receive information from -- again -- BAGGAGE HANDLERS -- and then tell everyone to go back inside. 7. Once inside, gate agents tell passengers they have no idea what is going on, where they will be departing from, or when. 8. Gate agents tell passengers to go through the (long, ridiculous) boarding process a second time, and get on the second plane on the left. 9. A couple of PASSENGERS remind the gate agent that the baggage handlers specifically said that plane was not going to Albuquerque. 10. Gate agents change their minds, and tell passengers to get on a different plane. 11. We finally get on the damn plane."
Pros: "Nice people"
Pros: "Nothing special"
Cons: "BWI check-in crew is not friendly, not related to Japan Airline."
Pros: "On this flight back to Arizona they arrayed mutt husband and I together, unlike on our way to Spokane. That was much better. We had more leg room this time."
Cons: "The seats are hard, fine for young people, but difficult for older people with arthritis and Auto immune diseases, such as fibromyalgia."
Cons: "The Avianca flight was over 4 hours late leaving Trujillo and blamed it on weather. Why don't they rearrange and prepare for this if the airport often gets fogged in during this time of the year? Instead they and other airlines leave dozens of travelers stranded. We lost our connecting flight to Iquitos, and after Avianca refused to reimburse us or put us on a different flight we had to purchase another flight with Viva Air with our own money. No accountability or respect for the consumer."
Pros: "Courteous professional staff!"
Cons: "I couldn't imagine a smaller space for traveling - rediculously small!"
Cons: "Made us wait over 2 hours on the tarmac before take off inside the airplane."
Pros: "The overall service x"
Pros: "Great landing, given there were issues with the flaps that slow down the plane. It was a short flight, so there wasn't as diverse entertainment as you would usually get on a longer haul. Typical AA biscotti and beverages."
Cons: "Airport experience at Hamilton. Arrived 2.5 hours early and we could not enter through U.S. CBP because we were too early.... We were told we needed to run our boarding passes by the check in counter agents prior to being able to go through for CB&P."
Cons: "there was screens but no movies or anything"
Pros: "Very hard landing."
Cons: "Your pretzels are terrible"
Cons: "Good flight!"
Pros: "It’s the industry practice that the service level for 6 hours long flight is by the ‘domestic’ but it’s shaemful. No food or video screen !!!"
Pros: "The air stewardesses were extremely cordial and continuously asked if the passengers needed anything many times during the flight. It's a small gesture but I appreciated it very much. Free wifi (for movies/in-flight entertainment) was also a plus."
Pros: "Gate flight updates"
Cons: "No information on luggage even though they knew luggage was not received in London They could have sent me an update instead of having me wait at carousel for 1:30 hours waiting for my bag to show up"
Cons: "Terrible plane. Old. No tv. No charge points"
Pros: "Cookie hehehh"
Pros: "There was a lot to see"
Cons: "The screens were severely delayed and frustrating."
Pros: "staff was amazing, entertainment great, dasani sparkling lime water tasty, very clean and reasonably comfortable"
Cons: "the breakfast was made of 90% sugar - this was very disappointing."
Pros: "pretty comfortable seats"
Cons: "45 minute delay from Punta Cana Flight crew lets passengers switch seats and sit wherever they want. Screaming children were put in the row in front of me, which I know they didn't pay for(and I payed extra for my seat)"
Pros: "The crew and flight was great."
Cons: "The airline did not inform us that the flight lands and passengers would need to travel by bus to the terminal. Just a surprise. I would like to know when booking the flight."
Pros: "There were no seats available together so we were upgraded to the extra room seats so that we could all sit together. As a mother flying by herself with 2 children, one of whom is on the Austin spectrum this gesture of being able to keep us together meant so much to all 3 of us. Thank you"
Pros: "THE SEATS WERE COMFORTABLE AND CREW AND VERY ATTENTIVE."
Cons: "Uncomfortable seats Crying child"
Pros: "Cheap. Easy. Got me to my destination"
Cons: "Missed Connection."
Pros: "Crew were friendly"
Cons: "Ac was broke on plane, no wifi or entertainment options, lots and lots of being kept in the dark waiting and waiting after already boarding the plane or landing on the runway"
