Cons: The legroom is very cramped, pretty difficult to eat your meal with the seat in front reclined. The crew were not very attentive: they completely missed me while I was waving the rubbish on their collection rounds. In the end I had to dump it myself in the toilet bins. The PA system is too loud compared to the rest of the entertainment, had to remove the headphones for each one of them.
Pros: Quite a big choice of movies and TV shows to watch, more than enough for an eight hour flight. Normal headphone plugs so you can use your own.
Cons: I booked together with my wife, yet we were allocated seats apart and were not able to be reassigned together. The leg room was so tight that I could not pick up things off the floor without putting my head in the next persons lap. Though the cabin crew were smiley and friendly, it was hard to get their attention when needed. The PA system is much louder than the entertainment, so announcements were ear bursting. The dinner selections ran out early, so a good proportion did not get their choice.
Pros: The flight crew from the mel to lax route were excellent. One was especially attentive to my 2 toddlers and gave me a bit of a break, something that has NEVER happened in over 40 flights traveling with children.

Cons: During my flight from LAX to LHR I requested (pre-booked) a special meal (Asian Vegetarian). During the flight I was told there was no such request in their records and therefore I had to stay hungry for the entire duration of the flight. During my return flight from LHR to LAX the in flight entertainment system for my seat was not functional. I requested it to be reset several times and in spite of the hostess resetting it several times, it did not function. I had to stay without an entertainment system during the entire flight. This was my first time travel with Virgin Atlantic. I may never fly Virgin Atlantic again.

After calling the helpline I was informed that it is impossible to change the seat after checking in until I am at the airport. No other airline has such an obscure, in efficient rule. Virgin takes pride in being a step above their competition - I didn't see it. I have flown international on Delta, American Airlines, British Airlines, United, and others and any difference in the experience was negligible.

It was hot and stuffy in board, the head rest kept slipping down and hurt my neck the legroom was tiny and cramped my knees and feet. Mine wasn't working well so I had to repeat pressing my screen the entertainment selection was lame. The food was stodgy undercooked glutinous and bland. But your man Fred from PNG Air was right there in POM Jackson's airport to take my information and somehow two days later I did receive the bags! Thanks! The flight itselfe was fine in every other way.
Cons: Maybe when I checked in for the last two flights if your check-in agents could've told me more clearly about where in the system my bags were, it would've been less of a surprise to find out in POM that they were not with me. I did ask, but got answers like 'we'll try to transfer them' or 'your bags are in the system', which were not too informative, but maybe as complete as those workers could ascertain, I don't know. I would've liked to be able to check in on line in advance for this and other flights on this trip, if you ever decide to open up that facility (without a charge), it would be appreciated.

Cons: Notifications for Change of Boarding Gate is not very effective. It is dependent on internet connection and may lead to missing flight connection. It happened to me, in spite of the wifi connection at the airport. Some airlines would put up an electronic notification for the change at previously known Gate. It's also possible to miss Airport voice messages due to temporary impairments travellers suffer from the previous flight. You can call out a passenger for all you want and still miss passing out the message.

Hundreds, or perhaps thousands, of travelers were not informed about what was happening with their connections, or given any guidance. This all arose from around an inch of snow in Frankfurt. It caused bedlam at the Frankfurt airport, which the Lufthansa staff appeared utterly unprepared to deal with. This is our second very bad experience with Lufthansa.

Cons: screaming and kicking child behind my seat, with no way to "escape". I had a severe cold and that was certainly not something I needed, I tried to get some rest, but that was impossible. The seats are getting smaller and smaller, hardly any legroom whatsoever. Also, what I had planned on bringing on the aircraft as carry on (which was my work equipment, tablet/printer etc), I had to check in as luggage because it was "overweight" meaning more than 8 kg and pay ADDITIONAL $200 (in addition to the $100 I already paid for one suitcase). I've seen many passengers with "heavy" carry on, which they were apparently allowed to bring into the cabin without any problems. I had never had to pay for any carry on, and I am seriously considering using another airline for future business travel.
Pros: I usually love flying Lufthansa - my favourite by far. It usually out-classes emirates in the economy class, and they usually appreciate the destination (in this case, Saudi Arabia - serving beer and other alcohol regularly). This time, on LH 598, they were suboptimal. The service was OK but I felt judged for asking for beer throughout the flight. The food was bland and the speed of service was “ok” at best. There were some good things - Warsteiner is an amazing beverage. When the attendents did approach, they were generally nice. Additionally, the entertainment package was reasonably good. I usually have to decide between emirates, QA, and Lufthansa. I would still say Lufthansa, but a note to them: please don’t let it slip. You’re a solid carrier and you have great service.

Because the flight was booked through a secondary company, rebooking the outgoing flight ended upp: a) costing me as much as the whole original return flight; b) was no longer a 1 stop flight as I also had to stop in Frankfurt plus the company would not allow me to choose directly, I sent them details and then they booked what they could find; and c) I lost both the outgoing flight ( which was charged) and the return flight ( which was not changed) premium seat bookings both of which I had to pay for a second time. If I had booked directly with the airline this would have cost a transfer fee and I would not have lost the premium seat bookings. This was therefore a great expense and inconvenience. I will no longer book flights indirectly when using kayak. In future I will search using google flights and then go straight to the airline sites to book. Very disappointed. I never had this problem when booking with kayak before

Cons: American Airlines texted me at 6 AM saying that my 10 AM flight was cancelled and I had been rebooked for a flight that DEPARTED at 7:35 AM. I was and am livid. Thank goodness everyone at the airport did an incredible job and I made the flight, but what a terrible way to start the trip to Tahiti. I will be using American as a last and final option from now on. Changing flights last minute like that, especially when making an international connection, is hateful. Never again.

We sat in front of the lavatory and could not sleep because every time someone used it, the light flashed in our eyes and the flush was quite loud. Final small thing was the latch on the try table was not working correctly. In a nut shell, not worth the extra money that was paid.

Cons: Terrible attitude of Kay (Kathy) our flight attendant. Seemed like she didn’t want to be at work today. Said “thank you” and no response— didn’t talk at all. Seemed overworked?? No movie- no monitors? This was not First Class Service and we were very disappointed.
Pros: Not very much positive to say unfortunately. The staff were good and did as much as they could to keep up feed and happy.
Cons: The plane was extremely old and dated. Never been on such an old plane with no up to date equipment or facilities. The chairs were very uncomfortable and the food was awful. There was no personal entertainment screen for an 11 hour flight and only one of the safety demonstration screens was working during take off. Also no plugs at all.
Cons: Tv was out the entire international flight. When I asked the flight attendant for help he said that "wasn't his job" and walked away. When I asked another attendant for help she said there wasnt anything she could do and that their "tv's suck". Rude crew, uncomfortable, cheap.

Pros: Departed and arrived on time and friendly and efficient service during flight.
Pros: New configuration made the flight seem much shorter. Crews attention to detail, flow and timing of service made the flight feel hours shorter than normal.
Cons: Surprisingly, AA provided the worst experience of the overall itinerary, compared to Aer Lingus and Iberia. The AA plane was outdated, cramped legroom - despite having purchased an "upgraded seat" and departed 1hr late
Pros: Wide selection of movies and other entertainment.
Cons: This was not food that was served in the Economy class. This was pure junk. I understand that airlines are saving on the service in Economy but a minimal quality should be maintained. I recommend to prepare some sandwich etc. and other snacks and to take it on the plane.
Pros: The food was okay, and the flight attendants were lovely. That's about all the positive things I have to say about that.
Cons: The entertainment was high my list, only because you're stuck on a flight for many hours. Although I was exhausted because I had a 8 hour layover in Manchester, it would have been nice to have a couple of entertainment options. On my flight on British Airways from New York to Gatwick, we had so many movie and series options. These things are important on a long flight, otherwise the flight becomes torturous because you run out of things to do. On this flight, we had no choices, only what was given to us to watch. This made my flight unbearable.
Cons: American Airlines made me check my carry-on luggage, despite there being many open overhead compartments visible on the plane.
Pros: Nothing. Flight was late, I was bumped out of my seats that I paid extra for. The seats we had wouldn't recline. Boarding was announced in 5 minutes so lines were formed and we boarded 35 minutes later as we had to wait for one extra cabin crew member. We got charged toe all our bags (see SWA). There was human waste in the bathroom.

Cons: Paying for extra legroom, delays, being told the flight may be canceled if we didn't leave by a certain time, no beverage service
Pros: i dislike booking with British Airways and ending up flying with American Airlines, who is their partner. This usually happens from US>London, but happened both ways this trip. AA flies outdated aircraft with old entertainment systems. Time for an upgrade! AA crew is okay, but BA crew is better. Might choose a different carrier next time.
Cons: Where to begin? The pilot suggested we would "probably miss our connecting flight" but not to worry because he would be "moving quickly" through the air. Missed my connecting flight. Ended up stuck in Charlotte with no more flights to Florida. And the airline left my bag in Charlotte. Disaster.
Pros: Cheap. Easy. Got me to my destination
Cons: The only downfall of the flight was the seating. Having to pay extra for an emergency exit row to get more leg room isn't good practice.
Pros: The plane left on time.
Cons: At Heathrow -- The passengers were sent thru three security checks to get into the boarding lounge...after the TSA standard check. There were no bathrooms, no water and not enough seats for everyone. It was hot, loud and there was no exit once you entered. This is one of the worst pre-boarding situations I have ever had, ever. The security people were unnecessarily slow and difficult.
