Cons: "I liked everything!"
Pros: "Food was great , seats were comfortable and crew was very helpful. Entertainment was more than enough."
Cons: "(1) Was about to miss flight because originally my flight booking was from Benazir International Airport Islamabad but t the time of flight I boarded from a different and new airport in Islamabad which had become operational in Islamabad in the last week of April 2018 . My flight was on 10th May 2018 from Islamabad to Doha to Chicago but neither my online booking site ( Kayak ) not Qatar Airways sent any notification that my Boarding was changed from Banzir International Airport to the newer, bigger airport. Consequently , on the day of flight, I went to check in and board from the Bnazir International Airport but upon reaching the airport I was told that the airport was no more in operation. I was surprised to hear that all flights were to be from the newer airport. By the time I rerouted my taxi to the new airport I was already late for my flight but fortunately the flight from Islamabad to Doha, Qatar was delayed and I made it to the boarding time and flew to Doha , Qatar and then to Chicago."
Pros: "Good staff and service"
Pros: "The flight attendants were professional and polite, I requested low-fat meals and they were good, the entertainment was very good, the air temperature was comfortable, most flights I had were on time."
Cons: "The legroom was a problem. Seats are kind of narrow, and then, with the lack of legroom it’s somewhat challenging to shift your legs, especially when the seat in front of you goes back! I felt like the person was almost in my lap. My cup even got crunched. I think my biggest issue, though, lay in how I was treated after paying $127.00 to obtain a day pass for the lounge each way. For my inbound flight my purse was branded with an “economy” class luggage type tag, and I was made to feel as though I was trying to sneak in. I had to show my boarding pass a number of times to employees after asking for the location of the lounge in order to be directed there, and then my credentials were examined as though I was trying to get into Fort Knox. Upon arrival at the desk, I was somewhat tersely informed that I had 6 hours. I went out of my way a bit in order to fly Qatar, which is supposed to be so wonderful, and I was underwhelmed. I’ve had better experiences on Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines."
Pros: "Hospitality and food."
Cons: "Seats are not comfortable."
Cons: "the returning flight from Doha to Chicago was absolutely old and small."
Pros: "The Crew The Food"
Cons: "The fact that we (my son and I) had to wait at the airport for over 9hours transiting. right after a 9hr 35miins journey."
Pros: "Everything was great"
Cons: "Everything qas great"
Pros: "It was really good, crew helped a lot me n my baby, it was not difficult to travel alone with my baby"
Pros: "I am always glad to see a working USB port for charging mobile devices on these 12+ hour flights and was not disappointed here. The list of movies was long. Also positive was the tallest headrest I have experienced in coach."
Cons: "The seat are thinly padded and felt close together, making the already long flight feel even more fatiguing."
Pros: "Cabin crew including the ground staff were awesome in providing best of its class customer service. Food and entertainment onboard was really good."
Pros: "Friendliness of staff. Cleanliness"
Pros: "Crew welcomes"
Cons: "Bad takeoff and landing"
Cons: "The flight crew had no control over the passengers on this flight! Kids running around when the seat belt sign on, called fro assistance TWICE and no one came to my seat and I held my trash for a whole hour and not ONE person stopped by to get it from me!"
Pros: "Like your six seats in a business class row compared to Emirates, Air India and very awkward seats of Etihad. Qatar business class staff also tad better than others."
Cons: "Dirty old plane"
Pros: "I have long stay in the DOha airport, 22 hours, and during this there is no accomodation is provided by Qatar airway"
Cons: "The flight departure from Dar was moved up an hour and the congestion at the airport made it close. Also I need a name tag on a checked piece of luggage. When I asked, I was told that none were available. The check in person was not pleasant or helpful. I also had to watch to make sure that the luggage labels were attached to be sure that they would make it to Chicago. Once on the plane there was an unrudy boy sitting in front of us jumping in his seat, never wearing his seat belt kicking the seat, turning on the light beating on the tray table, calling the flight attendant. The adult ignored the child through the flight. It was one of the worse experiences I have had on a plane. I would have to think very hard before I fly Qatar again."
Cons: "Didnt have food My mother has diabetes and she had one meal in her 14 hr flight Unacceptable"
Pros: "Seats are comfortable with sufficient leg space and overall ambience of the cabin."
Cons: "I pre ordered Hindu meal. The meal selection by the airline was same from Karachi-Doha and Doha-Chicago. There was no choice of menu in the meal on such a long flight. Moreover taste of offered food was not satisfactory."
Pros: "Nothing at all"
Cons: "Everything"
Pros: "First of all, I want to preface this by saying that virtually every airline is better than the major ones working in the US (American, United, and Delta), and Qatar Airways is amongst this number. The entertainment selection was excellent, the best of any flight I've ever been on. The flight attendants were excellent, again, much better than those on American carriers (I am American, FYI)."
Cons: "The food was terrible. Of course, we know this about airline food, BUT I have been on Qatar Airways flights with GOOD food in the past, so I know it can be better. Also, I sat in the baby section, which also happens to be where they put long-legged people. This is no one's fault, but suffice to say, do NOT sit next to 4 5-month olds for a 15-hr flight! Interestingly, since all flight attendants were women, about 50% of the flight did listen to them since there were many conservative Arabs onboard from Qatar or Saudi Arabia (i.e., those who are taught not to listen to or respect women). This made for some frustrating sites to witness but it's obviously not the airline's fault. Poor women!"
Cons: "On O-Hare Airport, Qatar Air Line's staff is very rod, I never recommend to anyone. Now if anyone ask from me then i refuse to buy Qatar Aiway ticket then they buy Emirate or other air line tickets"
Pros: "TImings"
Cons: "Price"
Cons: "No WiFi"
Pros: "The food you serve is good! We also appreciated the little gray packs of toothbrush, toothpaste, socks, etc. that you shared. The staff is very professional, and we enjoyed our flight,. We enjoyed the "quiet room" in the airport."
Cons: "I had a little trouble with the dvd monitor."
Pros: "food"
Cons: "Worst customer service ever seen in my 15years of flying experience. Initially charged $1000 for 3 tickets for modification of return trip - confirmed the same and tickets issued (i'm fine with this). But, after i made arrangements for new date, I got a call saying calculation error and asked to pay another $500 leaving me no choices. How can such a reputed airline have no tools to calculate the pay? Other airlines offered one-way for half of the price i paid. On top of it, online helpdek promised front line seat to satisfy me but nothing was offered even if i ask explicitly. Simply declined saying i am not in priority list. Why do they make false promises? Friends, Just don't fly in Qatar for food....."
Pros: "Due to the multiple booking mess, I got a middle seat in a 14 hour long leg as all all isle seats were taken. I requested an isle seat due to health issue but no help. The flight was 1.15 hour late and made me lose my connection at Chicago.Never flying Qatar again."
Pros: "Good staff and service."
Cons: "Too long a flight and require more leg room and reclining seats to be more comfortable."
Cons: "No good movies on the flight. The crew hardly interacts. The food sucks and they served sausage to me even though I was a vegetarian and they said they didn't have anything else. The headrest kept falling off ."
Pros: "It was my first time traveling on business class and I had an amazing experience, friendly and helpful crew, they always made sure that I was doing fine and if I needed anything or any help. Healthy options on they food menu and delicious food and beverages. I am looking forward to traveling with Qatar airways again in the future."
Cons: "Would prefer more options on they entertainment menu."
Pros: "Everything was quite nice. The TV screens were working for all the seats! Though I did not give my meal preference earlier, they still accommodated my request. Doha airport is quite nice and modern. Crew was helpful."
Cons: "I wish Quatar had a direct flight between Chicago and Indian cities such as Delhi and Mumbai. I can understand that Doha is their hub, but such a flights would be really good for me as I always want to reduce my layovers. (I noticed that most travelers in my Delhi to Doha and Doha to Chicago flights were Indians, hence my request makes sense.)"
Pros: "Entertainment"
Cons: "Flight to Doha was great! Enthused crew and Ey also kept ensuring bathrooms were clean. On way from Doha to Chicago it was disgusting"
Pros: "Food was good."
Cons: "The seat in front of me was occupied by an adult who kept bouncing and reclining seats. The crew did not respond to call lights. No Wi-Fi on such a long flight."
Pros: "Leg room. Free booze. Personalized attention"
Cons: "The thought of flying American carriers afterwards"
Pros: "The food on the way back to the United States was excellent. The flight attendants were very friendly and helpful."
Cons: "The good on the way to Cape Town was deplorable. Some of the seat back entertainment centers were malfunctioning while trying to watch movies. They would stop and move forward of their own accord."
Pros: "Plane wasn't full, which was nice."
Cons: "Boarding was a mess. Starting the pre-boarding process into an area without a restroom was horrible. Not allowing us to bring a water bottle on a 14-hour flight was cruel. Movie selection could be better. Additionally, it seems like the Qatar airport is becoming more like a US airport. Agents were barking orders and the pre-boarding process was slow. It was not a good start to the flight."
Pros: "Please see above"
Cons: "Please see above"
Pros: "Lots of disruptive kids, one of the ethnically chinese (sorry didn't catch her name) was very attentive and supportive of parents trying to keep their kids happy on a twelve hour flight."
Cons: "Long flight, infrequent water distribution, half the staff just chatting in the back. Filthy bathrooms not cleaned in flight."
Cons: "The flight was delayed, i had only 2 hours connection in Chicago for an international flight, they asked passengers to NOT panic and do not ask if they didn't call a passenger name. They will call passengers who would miss thier connection for accommodation otherwise you are safe. Unfortunately I didt ask since they didn't call me, when I reached the gate from Chicago, it was closed."

Turkish airline is the best

Waiting to much .more then 2 hours for lagage in chicago airport

Pros: "Flight was on time and flying even with COVID-19 restrictions"
Cons: "Food was cold and bland, sack meals both the same."
Pros: "plane was clean, bording went smoothly."
Cons: "Flight attendants were no where to be found most of the flight. They didnt walk up and down the aisles for literally hours before we saw them again. Never offered water during a 11 hour flight, they only came around deal meal service time. But the time in between meals, we seldom saw them."
Pros: "nothing."
Cons: "everything."
Pros: "Overall is perfect"
Pros: "Seats were super comfortable!"
Pros: "Great service"
Pros: "Service, food, comfort, entertainment."
Pros: "The crew was attentive and friendly!"
Pros: "Customer service on point. Great food, comfortable seats. Availability of 2 check in bags is helpful for those who traveling for a longer time."
Cons: "The crew isn’t very friendly, they do not know English very much."
Pros: "Nice flight crew"
Cons: "The food"
Pros: "Entertainment options were excellent. A lot to choose from. Provided small travel bag for the flight. Airplane was clean They offered for the first drink a homemade lemon with fresh mint which was wonderful. Will definitely fly them again. Great price"
Cons: "Low sodium meal was not tasty. Could not finish it due to lack texture."
Cons: "Delay in boarding by 90 minutes; I think it was a power failure in the boarding gate...computers didn't work. No air conditioning either. Ugh"
Pros: "nothing"
Cons: "was unable to upgrade tickets in advance off of web site. Others in Greece and Italy tried to assist as well and found same and when calling 800 numbers the calls were not going thru or hold time was overly extreme. Was told at Athens check in to upgrade in Instanbul and to go to transfer desk to get upgrade. An upgrade of $1200.00 Euro's is extreme Being packed like sardines for a 10 plus hour flight is not good. It is also unhealthy. Turkish Airlines should consider something other then the 777 for any international flying."
Pros: "overall, service was great"
Cons: "seats are too narrow"
Cons: "This was the worst I have ever experienced. My flight arrived into Istanbul and 45 minutes until the departure I was told it had already left. I later found out something very similar had happened to a man from London, a couple from Boston, three people from Ghana, and many more that were taken advantage of in an attempt to sell tickets for them to go home. Never in my life have I seen such corruption first hand in a business that claims to be professional. I travel with them roughly twice a year so I'm not really a huge spender when it comes to their service, however I have suggested many to use their airlines. Never again will I make this mistake, and never again will I fly with them. I think I would rather spend the few extra hundred dollars than to have to experience that again. Turkish airlines you have lost my service and my respect."
Cons: "I missed my flight from ABV to Istanbul. The customer representatives at the airport office couldn’t help me find or place me on another flight. They wanted me to purchase a new ticket and pay full price instead of the difference. The flight ime on my itinerary was 12:15a on Sunday (instead of 00:15) which confused me. My flt coming to ABV, airline left my baggage in turkey too and had no representative at airport to inform us what happened. Seems airline treats flights to Nigeria this way"
Pros: "The meals and in flight entertainment"
Cons: "The seating I needed more leg room"
Pros: "Friendly and accommodating crew, surprisingly great food, and nice drink options."
Cons: "AC is on initially, then it gets really hot and uncomfortable after the first meal service. i asked a CA if she could help, but the temperature didn't change. This was the pattern for all 4 flights I took recently. Everything else was great though!"
Pros: "Price"
Cons: "I had a 22 hour layover. On the website, Turkish Airlines advertises they cover hotel rooms for anyone with a layover exceeding 15 hours. However, it's impossible to get a e-visa to allow Americans to leave the airport to take advantage of this. There is one hotel inside the airport, however it's extremely expensive and booked well in advance. While the service was decent on the plane, inside the airport the TA employee's were very rude and not at all helpful. So be prepared to spend the night on the floor or an uncomfortable bench. Won't fly on this airline ever again."
Pros: "The security checks to board the plane were extensive and there was potential for the situation to be very stressful, but the personnel handled themselves very well under the pressure and stayed calm."
Pros: "had a medical emergency mid flight and the crew was fantastic and accommodating."
Pros: "Never flying back with this airline"
Cons: "Very bad customer service"
Pros: "Everything was great."
Pros: "Good service, friendly and hard working flight attendants Nice gift bag with toiletries"
Cons: "Head pads of a seat don't go low enough for my low height. Provided pillows helped though"
Pros: "Food, no delays, entertainment, price"
Cons: "No leg room on the plain, the crew is ok, but not very friendly. Not flexible with kids menu (requested kids menu, but crew was not notified and was not able to provide any), not very clean inside the plane (tables were dirty and there was hair in the window)"
Pros: "Way too many announcements throughout the flight. We has a crazy amount of security checks which caused a delay then had a bus ride to the other side of the airport to get on the plane!"
Pros: "Crew accommodated at seat change so I had a space between me and the next passenger and I got a row seat."
Cons: "We were in business. Food and service quality has gone downhill since last year. Cabin temperature is very warm. Staffs are not friendly. They spent a lot of time chatting in the galley talking and eating off food serving trays. Yikes!"
Cons: "Previous flight cancelled due to weather conditions, and despite calling and having a lot of flexibility with time, we were unable to reschedule without massive charges. Our refund was quite low, and we will rebook on another airline. This, despite being a TK gold card member."
Pros: "Fantastic airline crew, actually good food and plenty of beverages offered, really nice complimentary amenities like pillow, blanket and toiletries bag."
Pros: "Our flight from Zanzibar took off 40 minutes late and we made up no time in the air. We arrived at the Istanbul airport 20 minutes before our next flight was supposed to take off. Of course the gates were nowhere near each other so we ran as fast as we possibly could to catch our next flight. When we finally got to the gate, the employees were so kind to rush us through each step of security and get us to the door and there had to be at least 7 or 8 people who were working and doing whatever they could to get us on that flight. It meant so much! We had been up since 2am to catch our previous flight and just wanted to get home to our families and dogs! We were so grateful they worked so hard to get us on the plane!"
Cons: "Because we were late, we got what I'm guessing were the last two seats on the plane. The window seats in the last two rows. It was EXTREMELY tight back there. I'm just glad we were able to get on the plane but the comfort level was really not great and for a 10 hour flight, that stunk."
Pros: "Employees were very helpful. Service was great."
Cons: "One of my luggage bags was left behind and it needed to be shipped to my home 4 days later."
Pros: "I would definitely fly on Turkish Air again. The seats were roomy in comparison to other airlines I have flown on. The inflight entertainment was excellent in comparison as well. I thought the food and beverages were pretty good for an airline as well."
Cons: "Just the concern that people were not instructed to stay seated until the airplane came to a complete halt. People were out of their seats and getting luggage out of the overhead bins well before the plane had taxied up to the gate. Please make an announcement to keep passengers safe. Also, the cabin crew could have been a little more helpful to passengers. They kind of stood around and did nothing when a gentleman and his child got on the airplane and other people were clearly sitting in his seats. The man had to straighten out the situation with the people who were in the wrong seats. The flight crew needed to have been assertive, ask politely for people's boarding passes and taken care of the conflict, not the customer. My flight was late and I missed my connection to Seattle. Turkish Air did put us up for the night and provided meals without a hassle."
Pros: "The Transfer desk granted our request to switch our flight from Istanbul to Chicago to Istanbul to Los Angeles. A meeting that I had initially scheduled in Chicago was cancelled and would have meant an extra day of travel and hotel stay. By allowing us to go directly to LAX we got home a day earlier and didn't have the hassle of going through customs, checking in & out of a hotel and going through another set of security checks with all our bags. Additionally, we had great service, food and entertainment. Especially liked the wifi that allowed me to read and send emails, texts and do some work."
Cons: "Even though they had at least an hour to transfer the bags from the Chicago flight and put it on the LAX flight, the bags didn't make it and they didn't find them for about 24 hours but did deliver them to our home at 1:45 AM (@37 hours after arriving)"
Pros: "Excellent!"
Pros: "as above"
Cons: "as above"
Cons: "I travelled in Business Class from Istanbul to Chicago. The service was not at all impressive and the crew were not very helpful. I asked for water and champagne with my dinner. Champagne never arrived, even after I asked for it again. My half-full glass of water was taken away halfway through dinner with no explanation and never replaced. I asked for water five times before I was finally brought a bottle of water over 30 minutes later when they were being passed around to everyone. Meanwhile, the two flight attendants I asked for water walked by several times picking up trash... not sure what was so difficult about bringing me a glass of water."
Pros: "This is a government run airline with very poor customer service. I flew 6 flights in December, 2016 in business class - out of which 5 flights were late. There was no help at the transfer desk in Istanbul to get onto another flight as my connecting flight was missed because the original outbound flight was late. The customer service staff both at the lounge and the transfer desk were inept and rude and did not want to help. I shudder to think how economy passengers are treated."
Cons: "1) No organized boarding process - there is a general melee at the boarding gate with a lot of shoving and pushing. 2) Customer service staff are rude, incompetent and unhelpful 3) No recognition that customers are to be served 4) Food selection in business class was mediocre and poor 5) Old aircraft - on flight from Istanbul to London, business class was 3 abreast with the middle seat being used as a tray table. 6) Sleeper class is mediocre - seat width is poor and one cannot even turn on the side"
Cons: "I was supposed to be given two boarding passes through my check-in but I was given only one. This caused a lot of confusion on the Istanbul Airport. The staff there we unbelievably rude. They caused two passengers (on separate occasions) to miss their flight right in front of my eyes due to no apparent reason. They plainly refused to cooperate with passengers."
Cons: "Very friendly staff if istanbul airport was organized this airline is better than emirates"
Pros: "If you are flying Turkish from the US or from Istanbul to the US or other far away destination, for the love of God, do not fly on the B777-300. Did that twice from Chicago to Istanbul and back, and the seats in economy are a real killer....very tight and uncomfortable. On the other hand, if you have a choice of Turkish aircrafts b777 vs AB330-300, you will do yourself a favor by selecting a flight on an AB330-300. Slighter smaller plane then the 777 but a little more comfortable in coach. So you are warned......and by the way, you will select a two seater combination rather than being stuck in the middle.....If you are stuck in the middle, always do your best to get at least an isle seat."
Cons: "Turkish Airbus 330-300 Loved a little more leg room in economy. Also the FA very really on their feet and eager to help. Always with a smile on their faces. I would recomand flying Turkish overseas but only on an AB 330-300 coach configuration."
Pros: "The food was very good. As a vegetarian, I find I am quite disappointed on flights because of limited or no meatless options. This was not the case on Turkisk."
Cons: "Seats are too cramped. Need extra leg room. They should really take out a few rows of seats to provide some more much needed room."
Pros: "Nothing, will never use this airline again."
Cons: "Worst customer service. Very uncaring and rude. Worst airline I have seen and I have traveled with many. Had doubts about using Turkish and a little less expensive ticket turned out to be the most expensive in many ways. Went to the gate 17 minutes early and the agents and the plane was there but was refused entry and was lied and told to go to gate 215 and missed the flight even though there were empty seats on the plane. Asked for help at the other gate but was given the run around and ignored by everyone and told to go to gate 214. After I went to gate 214 was told to go to customer service lower level. Turkish airline supervisor Mustafa Bogaz at Istanbul customer service held a grudge because I was upset and yelled at one of the supervisors and he told Mustafa and everyone not to help me and wanted to get back at me and said penalty in front of me to the customer service member I was speaking with. Mustafa lied and would not put me on a connecting flight and said I had to pay penalty and wait 24 hours. Told me to go to customer service outside the airport and would not call them after I told him I was ready to pay for a connecting flight and could not wait 24 hours and needed to go to work. Even though an American citizen was told needed a visa after waiting 1 hour in line and had to pay to exit the airport. The machine didn't work and the credit card was refused. Got stuck at the airport for 24 hours and missed work and a family event. Turkey is a hell hole and nothing works. Will never visit again. Mustafa 6 hours later was still holding a grudge and told another customer service member in Turkish in front of me to lie to me and say there was no emergency aisle seat available for the flight the next day. Got an emergency aisle seat the next morning when Mustafa wasn't there. Everyone in the customer service team including other supervisors took Mustafa's side and would not help me and lied. Everyone had no compassion and held a grudge."
Pros: "Food was fine and entertainment system was great. Watched movies the whole way. We arrived 1 hour early."
Cons: "I was pulled aside for extra security. That was fine but there were a few other passengers that should have been pulled over for extra security besides me. It took an extra 20 minutes for me to board the plane because of this and when I arrived to my seat an Arab woman was sitting in my place and refused to move to the middle seat. She said she could not and would not sit next to a man who was sitting on the other side. If this is a problem from the start, there should be a way to choose a seat according to gender. The stewardess found me another place in front of this woman who kicked my seat the whole way. She even argued with the stewardess about putting her suitcase above her in the rack and security was almost called. There should be something included in the flight information program about being polite to other passengers."
Pros: "The entertainment and toiletry handout with slippers was the only enjoyable event"
Cons: "It took 57 mins of checking my passport and boarding card at 3 stations while standing in line prior to. Boarding. We underwent screening upon entering the airport and at customs. This subjection to standing in the heat in 3 lines of additional checking was lunacy. The plane was nasty , no tissue or paper towel was available in the bathrooms. The one toilet was out of order prior to taking off 1 hour later than our scheduled departure time"
Pros: "The food was good, the flight attendants were mostly friendly and normal."
Cons: "While the flight attendants and crew inside the airplane were all friendly and nice , I can't say that for the employees inside the airport!!! They are the WORST employees I've ever seen! Multiple times, when I was trying to ask for help, they barely made eye contact or rudely ignored me! I was shocked! Never have I ever seen airport employees act so rude! One girl even was half asleep when I went up to her to ask for directions. She just pointed to the direction and didn't even look at me or say anything ! Never again will I fly with Turkish airlines."
Pros: "Food was wonderful, technology helped the flight "fly by", and the plane was comfortable."
Cons: "Boarding was different in every city we stopped in - mainly due to other countries' airports and regulations. I believe this was not a problem due to the airline, but boarding groups weren't always adhered to."
