I ended up with neck pain from trying to watch a movie on my phone. Delta has become very cheap. It is going into some serious decline."

The delta folks blamed Kayak. We did get seat together, but not the ones I had previously chosen. Also there was no beverage service on this flight."

Cons: "Due to weather patterns, we sat on the runway for 3 hours waiting to take off. There was approx. 50+ planes ahead of us. I know this because I was sitting next to an off-duty pilot on his way home. About 2 hours in, there was 30 planes left to take off, and then us. They air traffic control people were only letting off one plane per minute which is what was holding us. THEN after the 3 hours on the runway, our crew timed out and the brought us back to gate saying we were not taking off. At the gate, they informed us the flight was not 'cancelled' but 'delayed' to the following morning. I/m not sure how a 16 hour difference is considered 'delayed', but I digress. All Delta reps had NO idea the time of the new flight the following morning and told us all to just 'keep checking the app'. Now, fortunately for me I live in Brooklyn and could just go home. But what about everyone who was at LGA as a layover? I heard from multiple passengers they had to spend the night in a hotel, that Delta did not pay for. We finally got notice the new flight was scheduled for 9:30AM, which they AGAIN delayed until 11:30AM. Many people did not get the second change, and were already at LGA for the 9:30AM flight. To say Delta's handling of this was poor is an understatement. We knew when we got on that plane the crew was going to time out. Again, I was sitting next to an off-duty pilot who told me to 'get comfy, we're gonna be here awhile' the minute I sat down. Delta should have given us a fresh crew, or had a backup one prepared. I understand the weather is out of there control, and I understand you can't have a tired crew piloting an airplane, but there are other ways to have us take off remotely on schedule."

Overall this caused unnecessary delays that were compounded by the fact that I couldn’t use my TSA precheck. My main problem on the plane was that I had to struggle to get water served to me. It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"

I was told when I booked the seat that the headphones would be complementary. So I did not bother to bring any assuming they were going to keep their word; I figure I'd make it work and watch a movie without sound. Cons: "Before we boarded I listened to a couple described how they always went ahead in line at boarding because no one ever stopped them. They described how they waited until group 3 was called and then went right through. While we were waiting, we watched them do it again. If you need to cram people into tiny spaces to be profitable, then you cannot allow them to make it worse by putting back their seats. I spent 90 minutes with a seat back jammed into my chest. We were ignored when handing out snacks, probably because we were invisible behind the seats pushed in our faces. It was one of the most miserable flights I’ve experienced."

I was booked to a crappy room in MIA that I had to get changed to another hotel. THEN my departing flight from Puerto Plata back to the US was delayed 2 plus hours (as was the first flight) due to a flat tire that had to be replaced. I missed my connecting flight and had to be placed on the next flight to DCA which was the last flight. This experience was the worst. I do not have a favorable opinion of American, of which I have flown this airline for years."

Thank goodness everyone at the airport did an incredible job and I made the flight, but what a terrible way to start the trip to Tahiti. I will be using American as a last and final option from now on. Changing flights last minute like that, especially when making an international connection, is hateful. Never again."

Pros: "Plane had technical issues & we returned to gate; staff kept us informed, which reduces anxieties & American rescheduled US connector flights before we left Manchester"

Pros: "Our flight was delayed somewhat by a service door not completely latched. The plan returned to get it closed, then was promptly airborne. After the delays, the flight actually made it to our destination by our scheduled arrival time."

Cons: "This was my first time on a British Airways flight and I wasn’t to pleased. I asked for a soft and the crew member took nearly an hour to bring me one. I was sitting in a crammed seat and to make it worse the tv wasn’t working. It was on but I couldn’t change any channel. It was over a 6 hour flight that seemed even longer."

Cons: "Online check in for one of our two passengers was impossible. Simply never worked. At airport check in desk, manual data entry errors during airport check in caused issues during customs at the end of the flight. Also we were not seated together initially even tho reservations were made months in advance. Airline online check in was pushing us to pay extra for seats together."

Pros: "I really like having the ability to upgrade to a more roomy seat the most. I am 6 foot 1in and leg room is so very important to me when i fly, it the difference between a good experience and a great experience. For just a few more dollars i was able to enjoy a great flight."
Cons: "I don't like not having the movies to watch on the back of the seats, although i do understand the cost cutting reasons. It's not a problem, just saying."

Cons: ""Parked" on tarmac for 25 minutes waiting to leave LAX. Arrived half an hour late"

Pros: "The person at the luggage area, she gave me the ticket, very nice and polite the only professional person."
Cons: "Didn't let me take my hand luggage, small that complies with the size and told me only at gate, I said I had things that could brake and showed no concern and they would send it to my final distinction instead giving it to me in the end of first flight...I've been traveling around the world and the disrespect for customers and poor service of most of US carrier is amazing... some African companies are much better. on the second flight, almost two hours delay, the plane from philly to Lisbon, old, just s few tv screens, exactly like the North Korean airways..., bad food, my tray stayed with me the whole fly, flight attendant not very professional with no concern for customers and job."

The plane didn't provide charging stations for your devices, I would expect for a flight like this that you either have screens on each seat or you're be able to charge your devices"

Cons: "Flight was changed. Didn't get the seats I had already picked out. Woman on flight was very rude to me when I asked where the restroom was. NOT a good experience over all."

Cons: "We were never asked for beverage service.Also when arriving and exiting to retrieve our bags when congested with baggage no room to stand and wheelchairs all at once trying to exit up ramp.Very unorganized and chaotic."

Cons: "The flight was delayed...if it was mechanical, no worries but there was another plane at our gate which make me think that mechanical was just an excuse."

Cons: "Had to board three times, two different planes. I understand mechanical problems, but 3 hours later, and on another plane, the captain starts making stuff up, saying that the only reason we hadn't moved in the last hour was because people were using the bathroom, then something about having to deplane because the plane couldn't back up with us on it because of some sensor? And then, surprise ! All of the sudden they noticed there was an issue with his and some of the crews' hours and we had to wait till they could locate more crew. But they gave us each a 1/3 glass of water and later a $12 food voucher which didn't even cover a meal and beverage. Whoop-de-do. 7 hours later we finally boarded for the third and last time. The crew on the other hand stayed professional and friendly."

Pros: "More leg room on Swiss Air flight I ended up getting rebooked on and smaller plane seating only 2 on the sides, so much better than bigger Air Canada plane on outbound flight to Europe"
Cons: "Again, I did not make the DC flight,not delayed as an email had announced but closed at least 20 mins prior to departure, so no one was let in (after running through Zurich airport, again, no help). Rebooking possible and easy for my route, difficult for those going to DC and further west."

Cons: "Air conditioning was not working. Very hot on plan. Light switch above my seat was broken. Luggage crew cracked off one of the “feet” on my luggage. Overall terrible service and flight."

Cons: "My parents were traveling, they dont speak english and I verified with Austrian airlines that they would be assisted at the gates and that they had the correct visas for each airport they had a layover in. I was assured there would be no problems. Upon boarding they were not able to get on their flight. I have never had so many communication issues and frustrations in the middle of the night with an airline. disappointed."

Cons: "The gate was changed at the airport after my boarding pass was issued. I would never have known except that another passenger was looking for colleagues to let them know. And the flight number was also changed, and different than my printed boarding pass."

Pros: "Plane was delayed 87 minutes because the plane had maintenance issues that the air and did not organize and plan better. For their error, I missed my client and got fired."
Cons: "The airline not getting me on the Dayton-Newark then Newark-Rochester flight so I could get to my destination on time. The agent at the airport was not helping or listening. Now I miss my client loss a lot of money for the day and I got fired."

Cons: "After a three hour layover we were all set to board our jet when we were told that there were issues and would be delayed. After 2 hours they boarded us on an old propeller plane that was loud and uncomfortable. A man was forced to move from his seat in the front of the plane to the back because of weight balancing problems."

Cons: "Departure was delayed. No explanation. The boarding area is crowded and confusing. The plane's bins were too small for roller boards so passengers had to carry bags outdoors in snow and terrible wind, to get them loaded. The Newark airport where the plane landed was miserable! Departure from Newark was worse than landing if that could be possible! Awful!"

Cons: "Boarding by zones causes passengers to have to stand longer while waiting to board, inconveniences them by having passengers seated in window and middle seats often arrive after the passenger in the aisle seat, and slows down the entire process because passengers settling into the front part of the plane frequently board and stow luggage while those seated in the back queue up behind them. Compared to boarding by row, the entire process is now one lengthy mess."

Cons: "The food was mediocre and drinks served a long time after the meal. I had a log (daylight) flight and attendants insisted that all blinds be down and then the lights were turned off in plane. No one was sleeping and most watching TV. I as a reader of books was inconvenienced by low light."

Cons: "Because of the short connection time the group of people including me made it to the gate a bit late. However the plane was still at the gate and did not leave for another 15 minutes. But they refused to take us on board saying t was too late, as a result: They sent us with the next flight to Chicago instead of Washington DC. My whole schedule was messed up as i had to fly through Chicago. My luggage was lost and i only received it 2 days later. Will file the complaint."

Cons: "Loaded us all on the plane stowed our luggage all belted in they then announced a few minutes later to get off the plane because the pilot was still in Burlington Vermont and take luggage with us, including red tag luggage. Never should have loaded us when pilot not yet arrived. Plenty of irate customers."

Cons: "I didn't like how we left more than two hours late. United always pulls this kind of thing. The flight was overbooked, so we weren't going anywhere until people volunteered to take later flights. To allow enough time for someone to volunteer, aircraft maintenance was 'required', a scenario I have seen on a few other United flights. Honestly, I will never fly United again and am cancelling my future flights in favor of taking the train instead. It takes eight hours instead of a theoretical 1.5 hours, but at least it is reliable and not much worse than the ACTUAL time it takes to fly United. Worst airline ever. Barf."

Pros: "Fortunately I had three seats to myself so I stretched out and got some sleep after the meal. Many movies to choose from for entertainment."

Cons: "Announcements made in piercing tones' I understand the necessity and that they are made in several languages, however they were loud and jarring.."

Pros: "Flight attendants were friendly and welcoming when service was provided. The food was delicious - quinoa salad was unexpected and delicious. Also enjoyed the ice cream at the end of the meal"
Cons: "The flight on the ticket stated it was a Swiss flight operated by United. When we arrived we asked which kiosk to check in and we were misinformed. It would be a time saver if the airlines would educate their employees on where the customer should check in."

Cons: "Checking in at Zurich airport was a long nightmare especially using the terminals to get boarding passes (there were three, one was broken, and other people had such a hard time using those two that there was a massive queue and I worried I would be late!). Other than that it was very lovely"

Cons: "Flight updates were terrible, non existent. The people by the gate were not helpful. My daughter had to check online for updates.Customer service over the phone was poor as well. No one knew what time the plane would board,etc. Terrible overall experience. Need to improve on communication with passengers."
