Lithuania has begun to ease its travel restrictions. Although flights from outside of the European Economic Area are still suspended for everyone except for Lithuanian nationals and residents, citizens and residents of countries in the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the UK.
Residents of Australia, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Rwanda, Thailand and Uruguay are also allowed to enter Lithuania.
Isolation and testing will not be required on arrivals from Latvia, Norway and Finland and from Canaries.
Travelers must arrive at Vilnius (VNO), Kaunas (KUN), Palanga (PLQ) or Siauliai (SQQ).
Travelers arriving from the countries on the list of affected countries, must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 test result issued within 48 hours prior to arrival. Please note that Lithuania is currently mapped as red, and from now on only the countries in the grey area will be deemed to be affected.
Third countries (non-European Economic Area countries) that are not included in the ECDC maps are classified as grey area countries.
All travelers arriving from Denmark, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden and the US must have a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours prior to arrival, or contact the Hotline 1808 or other establishments that performs Coronavirus tests within 24 hours from arrival, without exception.
Individuals traveling to Lithuania by air will need to complete a registration form prior to arrival to support Lithuania’s track and trace effort. Registration forms can be filled out on paper during the flight, or in advance online.
Travelers arriving from affected countries without a valid medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 test result are subject to a 10-day self-isolation.
Travelers can undertake COVID-19 test upon arriving in Lithuania, but will be subject to a mandatory isolation while awaiting the negative test result.
Isolation and testing requirements will not be applicable in the case of those travelling by air when not leaving the airport transit area.

Cons: "Flight was delayed in Frankfurt due to technical issues. That was fixed, but ended up missing the flight to Minneapolis. Lufthansa provided vouchers to hotel and shuttle to the hotel (holiday inn express) and back to the airport. We stood out in the cold for 45 mins but the shuttle did not show up. Ended up taking Uber to the hotel only to find out their shuttle service does not start in the morning before 5:30 am. They booked me on a 6 am flight with 5:45 boarding time. The hotel scheduled a taxi to pick me up at 3:30 am to make back to the airport on time. I ended up spending $70 and I’m totally exhausted. I wished I just stayed at the airport. Not to mention the quality of the hotel accommodations is less than average. Very disappointed with how this whole situation was managed."

Cons: "As many of you know, Frankfurt/San Diego is a new service offered by Lufthansa. It touts direct flights to and from Europe. It’s main advertising draw was connection to the east. Many of their connecting flights at Frankfurt are scheduled within an hour of arrival. This possess a high risk of missing your connecting flight. I experienced this personally as a major number of my fellow travelers missed their connecting flights. Though Frankfurt has good directions, transfers take a long time due to multiple security checks and due to the size of the Airport. LAYOVER OF AT LEAST TWO HOURS WOULD BE BEST. Anything less, you risk missing your flight. I was personally selected TWICE for ‘random check’ for the same flight! Not sure how that can happen! The flight itself is long and arduous. the economy seats are small, cramped and don’t recline much at all. The entertainment selection was very limited. The TV touch screen barely worked. The food was tasteless and service was not much better. I have a hard time sleeping on flights with such bad seats but we had air hostess who kept talking the whole flight and that did not help with resting my eyes. I highly suggest taking a different airline through LAX. I personally feel like driving to LA and taking a flight there would be the wise move."

A last minute additional attendant that was brought on, helped to make the line move a bit faster, but this under-staffed checkpoint added unnecessary stress to our long travel day."

I'd guess a quarter missed connection. The process of rescheduling was a comedy of lies and inefficiency and lack of concern. Worst air travel experience ever. Ruined first two days of my vacation. Oh yea forgot the worst. No air conditioner running on runway at Houston at three in afternoon. Passengers visibly sweating before a nine out overseas flight. Blamed it on a mistake."

Check Emirates or other similar fare bracket airlines to understand the gravity of Lufthansa food problem. If one reason I had to choose to drop Lufthansa from my future consideration then that would be worst food and drinks. I would strongly recommend that they should assign people who need additional time to board at the back of the plane. It will help them to go back of the plane faster and avoid gridlock in the middle. Another advantage is it will help other passengers leave plane faster at the end of the ride. Boarding process will be come significantly faster by filling the plane from back to front by loading passanger with children and who needs time at the first loading area at the back of the plane.
