My husband got through his line 15min before I was finished in the other line. One line required iPads to be other, the other didn't. Something was seriously wrong with how things were being handled. Bathrooms onboard were a pigstie."

Cons: "5 minutes until boarding at JFK we were told to transfer gates; upon arriving by shuttle to the new gate, passengers were informed the aircraft was downsized and 20 people needed to be bumped. I volunteered since I had a flexible schedule so Delta re-issued me a ticket at 9am JFK for a 10am flight out of La Guardia. I trusted them I'd make it in time and they said they called taxis for us so we left to go catch them. Actually, no taxis were to be found so we had to call our own and were significantly delayed. I was in the first group of 5 people to be re-issued and arrive at La Guardia. Everyone else bolted but my new boarding pass didn't work and they actually didn't properly re-issue my ticket as I had been booked as leg 3 of my international flight from Malaysia. After they called three different departments including China they were able to print my ticket at 9:54am so I sprinted through the security and to my gate and was able to somehow make the flight as they were closing the door. However probably 14 or so of the original bumped passengers definitely didn't make it."

Just as we were ready to board, had to change gates. the announcement of new gate was not in clear English. Instead of saying 'C' as in Charlie, just C3, which sounded like a D, which would have been a concourse change. Little things, but they add up, when your previous flight was late on arrival."

Cons: "The crew was nice and everything, but they weren't very good at making announcements on the loudspeaker. You could tell they didn't really know what they were saying or haven't practiced. One lady was trying to make a sales pitch for a new master card and you could tell she was reading and there were long pauses. My sense is that when using the loudspeaker to talk to the entire flight, one should be practiced and know what they're saying and communicate quickly and efficiently. Don't mean to be critical, but it's something that I noticed that could be improved."

Earlier in the day I had to get them to change my flight from Chicago in Hattiesburg because it wasn't changed for me when the delay had my original flight leaving before I was to land in Chicago. I don't fault them for someone getting sick at the last minute or my inconvenience, but it was still inconvenient."

Ridiculous to say the least, I had to pay for their mistake"

But they refused to take us on board saying t was too late, as a result: They sent us with the next flight to Chicago instead of Washington DC. My whole schedule was messed up as i had to fly through Chicago. My luggage was lost and i only received it 2 days later. Will file the complaint."

At Dulles Airport, I checked in at the Brussels Airline counter, only to be told that since I was on a flight operated by United, then I had to go to the United Airlines counter to check in. At UA, I was handed a boarding pass which advised that my seat will be assigned at the gate. I saw on the monitor where the available seats were-1 window, the remainder middle row. I got the feeling that since I bought a ticket which cost less than what the other United Airlines customers paid for, then I was being relegated to seats that the other travelers didn't desire."

Will not fly with these airlines again nor will reccomend."

I was told I couldn't get on the flight with 3 bags, even though all 3 would fit under the seat. The free entertainment contained a grey box over part of the image reminding I could pay for more. Was only given a tiny glass of soda, I remember when they would give a can. I will consider another airline in the future."

Some of these are available in packages, but feels wasteful to spend the $$$ and only be able to eat 1/3 to 2/3 of the packaged items."

Pros: "Once on board, the crew were great! I was able to get on an earlier (also delayed) flight and still reach my destination on time! When my baggage was delayed, they refunded my bag fee and seat fee, and gave me a $100 voucher, which I probably won't use, but it was a nice gesture."

When I changed to an earlier (also delayed) flight, my checked bag did not get changed, so still arrived late. Even with so many frustrated and delayed passengers, there were empty seats on my flight! This just seems inefficient and that Frontier should be doing more to try to get people where they want to go."

AND when I bought tickets that seemed like a decent deal, found out AFTER buying tickets that baggage, carry-ones and most regular seats all have additional fees. I paid an extra $107.00JUST to sit down and bring my clothes in a bag."

Also, they were advertising in flight over the intercom for their new credit card...seemed like a very tacky way of reaching out. Overall, I don't plan to use this airline again and would rather pay extra with a reliable airline!"

But I was completely sweated and stressed out! These flights originally had a three and a half hour layover scheduled between flights."

I witnessed one distraught passenger try to get assistance when the realized they had left his daughter's medication on the plane after leaving the plane. The gate agents were sort with him, not helpful in any way. They did call for a supervisor who showed up with a lollipop in her mouth. So unprofessional. I could go on, but I won't. This is a low cost carrier, with fares seemingly lower than their competitors but make sure to consider all of the fees before buying your ticket. Chances are the price is close to another carrier."

They charged for drinks and snacks on the plane. A man next to me said he paid extra for more leg room but his seat was the exact same as mine."

The flight that left later to Detroit did the same thing to their passengers. The staff was incredibly rude, if they rolled their eyes more than they did they may have fallen out of their heads. They had the attitudes of spoiled teens that were working as punishment for something. The flight itself was alright, but even the attendants were unpleasant. I ended up stuck in the airport alone for seven hours, some people were told they had to wait until the next day! I've flown many times and this is the ONLY airline I have ever seen that did such a thing. I will NEVER use them again, nor will I recommend them."

After many threatening announcements of a $100 charge if your ONE allowable item is too big, I went to counter to see if my backpack was of appropriate size, When I approached the podium to verify I was ok, the two gate agents were talking so I stood and waited to be helped. After several minutes, one finally looked over, with a very annoyed expression and asked, " Do you need something?" (Actual quote) I asked my question, which was answered with equal distain and then I was dismissed and the agent returned to her conversation. Throughout the entire trip, it felt as if the ground crew were there to herd you on and off the aircraft... That's it... They were completely unapproachable. My recommendation? Spend the few dollars more and go with another carrier... If you do choose to fly Spirit, set your expectations very low and then you'll only be slightly disappointed."

The flight crew was exceptionally friendly, the announcements were fun, and the flight departed and arrived ahead of schedule. So what's the point of buying seats?? Sounds like a scam to me."

She was only trying to give me ATL to NORTH CAROLINA to Baltimore or ATL to Orlando to Baltimore. Which doesn't make sense at all. Finally after asking multiple times she was able to "find" me in her database a flight leaving at 7:30 am. There's more to this but I don't feel like typing it all out. No food or hotel vouchers from anyone. Sucks because I was having a bad weekend with a family emergency. Had no money on me and hadn't eaten. I could've definitely made it had I been able to get on the flight I paid for with the last bit of money I had on me. Greyhound was 3 times cheaper and may have been faster. Bad experience. At least a food voucher and hotel accommodations would have been nice. You get what you pay for I guess! I'm just happy someone from my church ministry was able to come gete from the airport so I could eat and sleep on an actual bed. I'm not from this city and do not know anyone. Not OK. Beware of Spirit Airlines."
