Cons: For that size of airplane basing on the fact that it was an international flight not having a USB port or any power source by the seats it’s ridiculous. The boarding process was a nightmare, very disorganized the crew members starting boarding group by group just using ONE of the two entrances available because of it the line to board the plan occupied almost 2 boarding gates. I couldn’t reclaim my seat because it was broke, the quality of the food was very mediocre, crew members attitude were upsetting... uncaring and ignoring passengers call. Another filthy plain ... I had 4 flights with avianca between 2 International fights and 2 national connections, all flights were terrible! The worse part is I probably could’ve flight more comfortable for less money or at least get what I paid for.

Pros: Yes

Pros: The flight was half empty, so I have a lot of space for myself. They gave us snacks while waiting during the delay.
Cons: The flight was delayed and no one said anything when I checked in/dropped my bags, even though they seem to have known in advance

Pros: Plane was good, plane staff were good.
Cons: Forced to move seat (whole row of us) as plane was taxiing to the runway. Just managed to squeeze bag into overhead bin, sit down, and buckle in before we took off. Don't know why we had to move - not explained. Ended up with a middle seat rather than my booked window seat. There was a curfew in Bogota, which caused the plane from Panama to Bogota to be late, thus ensuring I missed my connection. Rather than being put on the next plane, I was forced to miss not only my original one, but 2 further ones. So rather than arrive, as scheduled, at 15:15 I will arrive over 9 hours later, after midnight. Could have been handled better by Avianca.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything

Cons: Better seats, crew that doesn’t disappear etc.

Pros: The business check-in, lounge was great.
Cons: No dedicated line through security. Lounge was tough to find. Wine selection and quantity offered while on board was sub par. Food was not good.

Cons: Boarding process. We had to use buses

Pros: I like this flight very smooth no worry what so ever I will flight again

Pros: I like this flight very smooth no worry what so ever I will flight again

Pros: Everything was on time
Cons: Boarding organization

Pros: We liked that the layover was short
Cons: The seats need to be more comfortable

Cons: Comfortable seats and leg room.

Pros: Great
Cons: None

Pros: Flat seat in business
Cons: 2:30 hrs delay due to technical, not much info provided unless you ask , outdated movie list and entertainment

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Crew

Pros: I received an upgrade to business, nice detail from AVIANCA
Cons: Flight delay nothing to sorry about, only 20 minutes

Pros: SPACE, FOOD, ENTERTAINMENT ALL GOOD
Cons: NOTHING

Pros: The flight was quick
Cons: It was 5 hours late it was a big wait and I’m too tired and sick now I’m never using this airline again

Pros: My suitcases and I arrived on the same plane! Great job!

Pros: Nada

Pros: Service was outstanding.
Cons: We did not have movies on the fllght.

Cons: 2 hours delay

Cons: The food was gross the flight was four hours late. Horrible service

Cons: The worst customer service ever No solutions offered to customers I lost all day in the airport until finally (6 hrs after) they announce flight cancellation

Cons: They cancelled the flight and we have to wait six Hours in Bogota

Pros: The crew was great and the pilot was faster than I expected.
Cons: Dry food & uncomfortable seat to sleep in.

Pros: Repeating myself.. NOTHING
Cons: I don’t even know how and where to start.. Avianca has given me issues in the past and I have decided a few more times to give them a chance. Avianca has a culture of rude and “take advantage of people” culture. I went through hell on my last flight. Left us on our connection flight in Cali, Colombia made us (15 passengers) wait for our bus we all had to pickup and carry our luggage’s out to the streets rcause they don’t have enough money to pay for a cart when we were actually in that situation because for them. Next day we were transported (they show up 2 hours later from the promised time) we were transported to the airport to actually catch a flight to another different city to then arrive wait 4 more hours to catch a plane to our final destination... a 3 hours and 45 minutes flight from Miami turned into a 4 different city, hotel and nightmare, luggage’s were broke and everybody turned out to be rude rude rude rude!!!!!!... I am still waiting for my $200 promised Boucher. This is my last time flying with AVIANCA. I am a frequent flyer and have made the decision to fly AA from now On... Actually just purchased a ticket which was actually $100 more than Avianca... nothing like great service and respect towards your clients... I’m also making sure NOBODY flys with AVIANCA.

Pros: Smiling faces, friendly and helpful crew . The flight was a little late, and so we're the shuttle buses. Then almost made up the time on the flight, must have caught a tail wind.
Cons: Late start, makes you a little nervous that you are going to be late.

Pros: Always Avianca he’s great staff and personnel Flight was canceled and so I agreed to fly back on United Definitely the last time EVER! United personnel always has attitude and aircraft lacks updating
Cons: Avoid United like the bubonic plague unless you are into suffering and misery!!!!

Cons: Flight got delay 3 hours and lost connections avianca behaves really bad and did not provided the appropriate remuneration

Cons: We paid for non stop and ended up having to take a shittier flight times with stops. What a scam. We. Got the worst seats on a jam packed flight where the attendants were rude as hell. Last time flying avisnca.

Cons: Flight cancelled without notice

Pros: I got to my destination safely and on time

Pros: Nothing, nada, zip, zero
Cons: everything, damn airline overbooked the flight and my flight was bumped to the next day!!!!!!

Pros: Its the second i travel with them, i paid more because it was a "shorter flight" first time the three flights were delayed because weather, but another airlines were flying normal, i give them another opportunity and exactly the same the same three flights this company sucks!!
Cons: Crew attention was horrible and flights in this company are delayed all the time all year!!

Cons: 6 hours delayed

Pros: Staff is friendly. Good food, pillow and blanket included. Comfortable flight.
Cons: Lights were left on during flight so I couldn't sleep. Otherwise it was great.

Pros: Good
Cons: The movies

Pros: On time, onboard staff very helpful
Cons: They switched Gates 4 times at Quito airport

Pros: The personal treat.. timing

Cons: they cancelled flight without giving us warning and we had to fly out following day on different airline

Cons: Un poco demorado la entrega del equipaje.

Pros: They didn't take care with my lugage. All the things inside still wet.
Cons: They need to take care with the passenger lugage.

Pros: It's was nothing extraordinary
Cons: Not individual TV

Pros: My wife and I flew coach. As economy fliers we were given a meal, glass of wine, and coffee. The price of the flight and service were great.

Pros: The plane ride was very smooth. Slept the entire way which was nice.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: The flight from EWR to MSP was extremely quiet. No loud engine noises.
Cons: We were vert disappointed at the Newark Airport - the Delta Club was closed and there had been no notification prior to arriving at the airport. I certainly missed that early morning coffee.

Pros: Super comfortable and inflight entertainment was amazing

Pros: The fight was very professionally carried out.
Cons: The gate agent hurried ineffectively to board our slightly delayed flight (around 10 min). She left open the Priority Lane and boarded all pax there, having to step 4 steps to the left to scan every boarding pass.

Pros: The crew was communicative and courteous.
Cons: There was a flight delay in LAX due to a maintenance issue. The captain and crew informed us before we boarded the plane which was excellent. However, they could not figure out what was wrong with the planed and delayed the boarding for another 3 hours, putting our 1900 departure time to 2100.

Pros: Fact that there’s a flight available to get me-from a to b, Crew were friendly-great, cabins clean.
Cons: Expensive, Delayed flight, unable to hear and understand boarding announcements, No WiFi, and a magazine that caters to the top 5% of passengers. Then to top it off a lost bag and over 2.0 hours spent either on hold or awaiting a call back to resolve issues with my last bag-totally unacceptable

Pros: The only thing I liked about the experience and flight was the Delta Sky Club
Cons: Everything

Cons: Wifi didn't work

Pros: Even though they were just serving water and coffee. The attendant took it upon himself to retrieve the Ginger Ale i requested!
Cons: The seats are tight. but hey its an airplane, what can i expect!

Pros: Crew was amazing
Cons: You can add bkfst for A.M flights

Pros: Very comfortable, no complaints.

Cons: No food on board and we were hungry

Pros: Great landing in a real mess of a storm. We were pitching and yawing due to high gusts of winds but the crew brought it down perfectly. The Captain explained the weather situation before we left Atlanta so I was prepared for a bad weather flight and landing.
Cons: The weather.

Pros: Everyone was very courteous, the plane took off on schedule and arrived at our destination early. Also got a complimentary upgrade to Comfort Plus.
Cons: Ticket price was a bit much, the seats and aisle inside the plane are only made for skinny people. Aisle was barely longer across than my foot, and the guy next to me was a bit bigger than average, leaving me to have to scrunch in my seat the whole flight. Lots of elbows, butts and hips knocking into my shoulders as people boarded.

Pros: entertainment and leg room on regular seats
Cons: delay, boarding process

Pros: Boarding and luggage check in were great. The flight crew and the flight itself were uneventful which is perfect.
Cons: Snacks are the bare minimum and the restrooms could have been attended to more often, paper was piling up in the trash.

Cons: . The flight was overbooked and I had to wait for last minute to find out weather I will be on board of the flight .My bags were left behind in Amsterdam which were delivered later than they were supposed to.

Pros: I got home on the day I planned.
Cons: This is the second time we've flown from NYC to SC on Delta and it's the second time they messed around with the departure time. We actually got back to SC pretty much on time but the confusion is aggravating and stressful when you're ready to get where you are going. Both times we got to SC when scheduled and Delta appears to think that makes everything fine. Not quite...

Pros: Roomier than a lot of airplanes.
Cons: Bumpy ride. Nobody's fault.

Pros: On time, staff, and overall service
Cons: No complaints

Pros: Excellent communication, friendly staff, and timely flight.
Cons: Overhead bin too small for expect carryons. Should offer free checked bag at check into reduce this delay.

Pros: The crew members were very friendly
Cons: Coach seats still a little too small. Always bump the person next to me

Pros: Amenities, service, and punctuation of flight

Pros: On time! Easy boarding!
Cons: They had problems with both the wifi and the entertainment system. Super friendly crew further.

Pros: The flight was good, Boarding was smooth and fast
Cons: I asked one of the crew members to help me to get a better seat as I was very tired and wanted to sleep better during the flight and he didnt pay attention to me. I realized there were emthy seats available during the flight

Cons: The seat I was assigned did NOT recline !!! I have neck and back problems and I was in so much pain. You need to clearly indicate when a seat does not recline ( as in exit row seats, which are clearly indicated).

Cons: They changed my departure hours three times

Cons: Flying into blizzards suck, don’t do it

Pros: Delta could not help FAA regulations, so it was not their fault our initial flight was delayed an hour and 50 minutes. The gate agents in Missoula were fantastic in trying to help us figure out connection options to Baltimore.

Pros: The crew
Cons: The delay

Pros: Service

Pros: Easy boarding, helpful crew, on time, informative pilot
Cons: Fewer and fewer choices for beverage and snack

Pros: Gate personal kept us notified about flight delay. Flight crew was very positive on plane and they were as miserable about the delay as we were. Snacks and drinks were brought out. The gate crew keeping us updated is what saved the name of Delta. If she didnt do that people would have been angry.
Cons: Flight was supposed to depart at 0730. Actual departure was 1045. Three out of seven of the flight crew were not happy about how badly they were being treated by call center and /or management while they were delayed with us at gate. Snacks were brought out because of delay but they were just junk food. Nothing I could eat due to allergies.

Pros: Fast and very friendly staff.

Pros: The stewardess was extremely polite, though the pilot was less chatty (probably due to lack of turbulence during the flight). Decided to risk drinking the coffee again, and was pleasantly surprised that it actually tasted good.

Pros: Service and staff

Pros: Friendly staff. Very accommodating.
Cons: Wifi never works. I wanted to charge my phone, but my outlets weren't working, either (my neighbor had no issues). Kinda sucked considering I was planning on working on my flight to New York. The AC was blasting humid air, so it was extremely uncomfortable.

Cons: Late and missed my international connection

Pros: Plenty of entertainment options Frequent meals and snacks Attentive service from flight crew
Cons: Boarding process was slower than anticipated One of our bags did not make it

Pros: Staff were great.. landed smoothly

Pros: everything on schedule; courteous staff and great pilots
Cons: everything was very ordinary so cannot complain

Pros: The delta connection flight waited for our flight so we were able to make our cruise :-)
Cons: The delay in the beginnning caused a bit of anxiety that we might miss our connecting flight which could've resulted in a missed cruise

Pros: Comfortable seats, pleasant crew, excellent entertainment, all good great but burrito snack.

Pros: Video screens at each seat!!! Thank you Delta!
Cons: Nothing, everything was great!

Pros: Entertainment options

Pros: Boarding time and schedules were as expected or faster and good attention from the flight crew.
Cons: Breakfast was mediocre for First Class.

Pros: Crew was great.
Cons: Plane was terrible. Not paying Delta prices to fly in a Spirit plane

Cons: The original flight was canceled and a new one substituted - basically they wanted to fly a smaller aircraft (via a different regional carrier) so the flight number changed. PHL did not have the new flight info displayed at the Departures board or on the screen at the gate. Caused a little anxiety.

Pros: We liked the jet-ways to get to the plane, the food was acceptable. the plane was clean and the crew was helpful. The missing luggage was found and delivered to my home.
Cons: The seats were so tight that even average size people had trouble getting their seats back a little. Somehow kids were placed in exit rows and seat exchanges had to be made. They ended up in my row. One piece of my luggage showed it was available at the conveyor but couldn't be found. It delayed our long day and was frustrating to think it was missing. No distinction where Delta has it's gates in Mexico City.

Pros: Very friendly staff
Cons: Half hour delay for maintenance

Pros: The incoming flight was late, but we still made it to Durango on time.

Pros: .
Cons: Plane was too hot!! Ac nor working !

Cons: It was a very good flight

Pros: I paid for a full seat and the person next to me was so overweight, I had the use of less than 2/3 of my seat. My rifgt shoulder, neck and back was very sore when I got off the plane from lack of any movement.
Cons: Severely overweight people should not be forced onto another adult if they cannot fit in their own seat.

Cons: Very friendly and safe staff

Pros: Yes
Cons: Yes

Cons: The plane was ancient. Cabin was freezing, seats were rocks. Using an old short-haul CRJ for a 3.5 hour flight sucked.

Pros: Crew was great.
Cons: turbulence

Pros: Amazing crew
Cons: Perfect

Pros: The crew did their job.
Cons: At least monitors to watch a movie since there is no food in first class...

Cons: Departed 1 hour late.

Pros: The flights seemed to go fast once we were in the air and it was nice the pilot was trying to get us there earlier because we had taken off late.
Cons: I upgraded to 1st class for both flights but the plane seating was very dismal and hadn't been upgraded in either of these planes for a long time. After we boarded the plane we were told that no drink, snacks or food would be offered. The attendant shut off the lights as soon as we got in the air and kept it dark in the cabin until 10 minutes before we landed. She never came around to check on us once or ask if we needed anything. I was so thirsty when we landed. I have decided that I will either go back to United Airlines or check out the 1st class options at American Airlines better next time. This might not have been their fault, I'm not sure what it was, but the flight was late landing and we took off an hour late as well which really put me behind schedule.

Cons: Awesome

Pros: Crew was amazing.
Cons: I had some issues with the Onboard entertainment in terms of connecting with the site. I typically do not have this problem with my airline of choice but choose you because of the proximity of my hotel to my desired departure airport as well as price.

Cons: Delayed for an hour and a half because of a flat tire

Pros: Entertainment
Cons: Social distancing

Cons: My one hour layover turned into a 4 hour past 2AM arrival time.

Pros: The crew was nice
Cons: Cooler air! Hot as heck

Pros: Great flight, great crew, comfortable seats, good entertainment. I LOVE the AA 787s
Cons: Nothing

Cons: No social distancing due to all of the seats being booked. My significant other was moved from her seat to another one across from me which was unfortunate.

Pros: Crew was great
Cons: Snacks

Cons: Too cramped

Pros: yes, no on sat on my row coming or going

Cons: The flight was 2 hours delayed because there was a mechanical issue on the plane. We sat and waited on the plane for 1 hour while the Maintenance crew tried fixing the problem. After sitting there for one hour, they told us the problem wasn’t fixed and we have to change aircrafts. The other aircraft was all the way in terminal D (we were in terminal A) and the boarding process took a long time. Overall it was an awful flight and experience with American Airlines. I missed my mother’s birthday party because of the 2 hour delay.

Cons: Sat on the runway for over an hour. Lack of communication and lies..

Pros: Flight was not over crowded, allowing for proper social distancing! That is MUCH appreciated. Crew was wonderful.
Cons: The couple in front of me got in a physical altercation as well as the couple seated behind me. Both situations caused much discomfort and could have been defused faster by flight crew

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Served some type of anything

Pros: Very timely and efficient
Cons: Seats are really small

Pros: The crew &entertainment

Cons: Great

Cons: No food

Cons: Seat very narrow for an upgrade

Pros: The crew was rude
Cons: Everything

Cons: The plane was cold. The entertainment was mediocure. The staff was telling the people to get in their seats quickly as they had missed their scheduled time for take off. Yet, they 1st said we would board a little late because og clearing out the previous flight. And, no one could get carry-ons above their own seats and had to go back to then come forward. The attendants should monitor better what is brought onboard. I thought they were rude. And it took almost an hr to get our luggage at the carosel.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Never got on the flight!! This was a Christmas gift & they took the money when booked it and told me they needed credit card verification 2hrs before departure! Terms and conditions doesn’t say I needed the credit card when checking-in! They also NEVER notified us that I was needing that information! The person who booked my flight is overseas!!! They are the worst at customer service. Still waiting to hear back from them! It’s the holidays and they are absolutely careless! I must add that when checking-in the agent was rude, unprofessional and even mocked me! ridiculous!

Pros: Mostly really friendly crew members. Plane seemed new, first and business class looked lovely.
Cons: Wihout question, the most uncomfortable seat ive ever been in. It was obviously a newer plane, long haul flight, and thw configuration maximized space for more passengers. Width of economy seat was tightest I've ever experienced, with the arms of the seats literally right at my legs, nearlt digging in. The leg room was very short with my knees nearly touching the back of the seat in front of me. When i put my tray down, it actually rested on my knees, and was not level because it pitched up due to longer legs (and I'm only 5'9). This was a long haul, 8 hour flight. I've never beeñ so uncomfortable on a flight in my life, and have never counted the minutes I could get out. Seemed obvuous that meal service had taken a hit when corporate looked for places to cut expenses, its one of the lower quality meals. If compared with an international carrier, the food was really sub par. Mostly really friendly crew members, unfortunately, one who really didnt seem to enjoy the job any longer.

Pros: Crew were ok Captain was informant
Cons: Delay Heat on plane at 98 degrees upon boarding

Pros: Not much
Cons: Passengers brought hot food on board at Dallas. McDonalds and KFC odours were overwhelming for first 30 minutes.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: AA claimed the overhead storage was full and took my carry-on. Except I walked by at least 15 spots that easily would have fit my bag. They made us pay $50 to check-in luggage, but then didn't bother to put the bags on our flight. They also tried to charge us twice for the privilege of checking bags. They had no flights that would get us home on the same day, then claimed that since 12 hours had elapsed, we had to repay to check bags. During the flight, they had non stop commercials for their credit card. Ugh

Pros: Once I got onto the plane, it was fine. It was a short flight. Everyone was nice and they offered drinks and a small snack.
Cons: I was late to my first flight from Dallas to LR due to my flight from Spain coming in late. I got off the plane and there was also another connecting flight printed for me. I thought "wow that is amazing sevice! I am def going to brag on them." I should have done it myself... after a 30 hour traveling day.. I got to the counter to get on my second scheduled flight home, and it wouldn't let me on because something with my Rickey was not working on the computer. The person did not know how to fix it so I missed the flight. After calling a supervisor, and that said supervisor never showing up, someone else finally happened to walk by and helped the original person fix the problem. Finally after waiting 5 hours total, I was on my flight home. The first flight was amazing but this flight makes me question if I want to ever use American Airlines in the future.

Cons: I've flown a lot, and I really couldn't believe how rude the flight attendants were on this flight. They seemed very inconvenienced by their job. I gave a snack pack back to a FA bc of my allergies and she snatched it out of my hand while walking by me without even looking at me...my husband's jaw dropped, he saw it too. It was unbelievable how rude they were.

Pros: Cabin baggage allowance.
Cons: No food, only purchasable snacks payable only with a card not cash. That incurs charges for those that are not US card holders! And extortionate prices. Wifi based entertainment so you need your own tablet/phone. Great if the wifi works - it didn't. Neither on the outward or return journeys.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Boarding-we boarded class 9 and had a carry on that was to big so all 3 personnel yelled at me and my husband with my daughter in my arms very loud and disrespectfully " YOU CAN NOT BRING THESE TYPE OF BAGS ON THE PLANE!" Mind you 3 people are saying this while other people were also waiting to board the plane! So I quickly say we do not need 3 people to tell us 1 thing and especially yelling at us like we were kids or criminals because it felt like we must have broke the law the way they treated us! That experience was horrible and ruined my liking for AA

Cons: Flight into DFW was delayed over an hour and ended up missing connection from DFW to SMF by less than 10 minutes because connecting flight left the gate early! We had 5 people in our group, including 3 children under the age of 10. Instead of taking off on time or just a couple minutes late (and oh by the way, the flight to SMF was scheduled to land early because of favorable winds) the flight left the gate early while we were sprinting from gate C31 to A17, missing the door closing by minutes and stranding our party for a three hour wait for an aircraft that went to SFO instead (75 miles away from Sacramento). As the coup de gras, our luggage didn't make it on the plane to SFO so now it's sitting in Sacramento awaiting delivery. I know there were a lot of upset people with the weather delays yesterday, but a bit of foresight or accommodation by American or a particularly savvy gate agent could have prevented the 5 of us from being among them.

Pros: It served the function of crossing the ocean. The crew was kind.
Cons: The airplane was outdated. It did not have personal entertainment suites at each seat. I haven't flown across the ocean without being able to choose my own movie in 3 years. Also, because of the outdated entertainment suite, the headphone jack is located in the armrest to the side instead of in the seat back in front of you. This caused me to bend my 3.5mm headphone connection at one point while I was moving my leg, because the connection jack is located below thigh level. The temperature was unbearable, and could not be controlled by the flight crew. Dressed for winter weather and roasted for the entire flight. I actually was dehydrated when we landed because I was sweating for 7 hours crossing the ocean.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: All could be better, Spirit is a horrible airline

Cons: The flight crew was horrible

Pros: The crew was super nice and the seat was super comfortable
Cons: if they have a bit more variety of snacks to purchase

Pros: Confort

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Keeping the middle seat open

Pros: Got to my destination quickly

Pros: I hate spirit
Cons: They are animals

Cons: Better seats serve snacks

Cons: Social distancing!!

Cons: Provide some snacks drinks at least

Cons: I payed for your big chairs in the front and they didn’t recline back at all. Spirit, your seats suck as well as all you feed for EVERYTHING

Pros: Crew was very courteous and helpful.
Cons: I wish the seats reclined and there was wifi but it’s Spirit lol

Pros: Crew were polite, but one did not take her time to look at every passenger when picking up the last trash. She walked by us very quickly without looking at all. When I asked if I could give her our trash when she was on her way back to her seat, she said, “we’re all done now, sorry” and she kept walking. The pilots did a wonderful job during take off, during our flight and landing! We’re all blessed for such a safe flight.
Cons: Zone 4 appears to be the largest zone to board the plane and did in fact take the longest. I think the zones could be broken up better and should be so that apart from the benefit of boarding early, the rest of the paying passengers don’t have to wait for long periods of time to board, our satisfaction should matter too. Also, my 5 year old was super sad and disappointed that the flight did not serve snacks (even though we ate while waiting at the gate for our flight to arrive). He looks forward to the snacks that many airlines serve aboard. Just thought I’d mention that.

Pros: Friendly crew
Cons: Our flight from Houston to Vegas was delayed for four hours. Once we got to the airport, Spirit informed us that they were tacking on an additional hours worth of delay for a grand total of five hours. I asked if we could be moved to another airline and the guest services person looked at me as if I was speaking a foreign language and had no concept of what it was I was requesting. The terminal area around Spirit was filthy. It stood out just how unkempt the area was at our gate. Can’t blame this solely on Spirit but it definitely left an impression. Finally boarded after five plus hours and once on, that’s when I realized leg room was not really a thing on Spirit. I was literally sitting spread eagle because if I tried to sit straight, my knees would then be digging into the person in front of me. That wasnt an issue for the screaming children behind me, however. They had absolutely no problem karate choopin’ my chair for pretty much the entire three hour flight. The one bright spot was the crew, they were great but not enough to offset the overall experience which was thoroughly miserable.

Pros: I liked that I made it to and from orer destination alive.
Cons: Ridiculous trip cancellation policy, even WITH the trip insurance I paid extra for. Most uncomfortable seats I've EVER sat on on any airliner (didn't recline, cheap plastic with no padding, CRAMMED to the max). Tray table was roughly the size of my phone, wouldn't be able to pull a laptop out to get work done even if I wanted to. $55 unexpected cost of carry-on bag per person is downright THIEVERY. Red eye flight and lights were not dimmed, air flow was turned way down almost to the point of non existent so it was stifling hot. No help was given to the mother of the crying toddler who screamed the entire 3 hour and 20 minute flight (at least offer a free cookie or something to help sooth popping ears or anxiety for Christ's sake!). Absolutely WORST airline I've ever flown with and will NEVER fly with you again.

Cons: I understand that delays are part and parcel of the flying industry, but, who would update passengers? Had I not checked the flight status on google I would have never known. When we purchase tickets we do submit an email id, don't we? Then why is it so difficult to just send updates to that email. It was not until I subscribed to Spirit Airlines flight updates that I was issued updates that were late and outdated. For example: I got an email at 10:50PM that the flight take off was at 11:11PM instead of 11:56PM. I know it is imperative that passengers reach the airport atleast 2 hours before take off. But who would imagine/expect Spirit not to accommodate help when the TSA check to their terminal is closed.

Pros: Once I boarded and found MY seat actually there, right where it was supposed to be, and we departed early, pleasant attendants (way nicer and knowledgeable than on-line booking crew!), uncrowded plane, no frantic, rude rush to get us through snack service, early arrival, uncomplicated, speedy disembarking, maybe, just maybe , I'll fly Spirit again. Now that I know all the ropes, rules, fine-print, etc.I'll price to see if it's really worth the drive to TIA, the parking expense, all the add-ons, or if it's easier and less agita just to leave from SRQ, my down-the-street airport and maybe just a few $$ more.
Cons: The absolute chicanery of your on-line booking process!!!! Get real, people...I bet YOU couldnt even complete the process and remain sane!!!! I just read some reviews: people are rude loud and angry because of your online process I know you claim bare costs, but we are still giving you our hard-earned miney. We do it because we cant fly first-class (-$$$-) so dont make us feel like we are settling for steerage. It's a lot of money to us!

Cons: I had my flight from Detroit to Houston scheduled for Sunday around 7 am arriving to Houston at 9 am. They sent me a message on Saturday at 9 pm stating that my itinerary had change and now I was going to leave from Detroit at 3 pm arriving to Minneapolis at 5 PM and needed to wait in Minneapolis 5 hours to leave to Houston around 10 PM and arriving almost at 1 am on Monday! Total waste of time. Also on the way back I had a carry on bag that supposedly was too big and I needed to pay 57 USD extra. They advertise it as a low fare airline but then with all the added charges they have it is almost as if you were flying with a better quality airline

Pros: we had a safe flight, no major issues, and were able to get off the plane quickly.
Cons: I had to pay $97 to check my bag...kinda defeats the purpose of booking a cheap flight. This was by far the smallest seating space I've ever had...I'm 5'9 so normally I don't have an issue with this but my knees were about an inch away from the seat in front of me and I had no space to move around. The headrests were hard as a rock, and I could feel a metal bar in the middle of the seat poking out at my back. The seats don't go back, there was no entertainment whatsoever, not even a magazine to read. The main lights were left on during the 4.5 hour nighttime flight. There was not even a complimentary cup of water...$3 for water. It was also freezing in the plane and there was a 2 hour delay for no apparent reason. Look up the fees they charge for everything before you book with Spirit.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: My wife and I received an email stating that our flight was delayed by an hour. We arrived to the airport 2 1/2 hours early and when we checked our bags, the man at the Spirit counter confirmed the flight was leaving an hour later than scheduled. We sat by the gate at a restaurant for two hours and went to get on the airplane 45 minutes before the plane was supposed to leave and the spirit gate had been shut early. Spirit announced that they were calling the last boarders as they were shutting the gate and when we walked up they would not let us board the plane. Hence, we miss Lee our flight. No one was willing to help us, or let us on, even though they boarded at the original time and not the delayed time as emailed and there were no other announcements made besides the last one. I have flown Spirit many times, and have always had a bad experience. I will NEVER fly them again!! They have lost my business forever.

Cons: Told agents that my wife is Russian, but is a permanent resident, so they told me to put the resident card number on her reservation, but did not mention anything about her Russian passport being needed. So once we discovered that we needed my wife's passport, I contacted Uber to pick me up. take me home, so I could get her passport, but, since her reservation was in her married name, the agent had to redo her reservation to her maiden name and we missed our flight. Also, since I had already checked in with one bag, the bag made the flight without us, as it was not in the Houston airport.

Pros: We got to the destination safely.
Cons: Reason's why I rated each category poor: Overall - see below categories Boarding - We were told that our bags did not count as personal items, and we had to either pay $130 to carry on two bags or throw them away. Basically, "Have a nice trip, let me start by robbing you." Crew - During the flight, I used the on-flight lavatory. As is normal in most flights, there's no space between the last row of passengers and the mini-room at the back of the plane. To keep from putting my rear in another passenger's face, I stepped into the mini-room until the stewardess commanded that I wait behind the "silver line." Sorry other passenger. At the least be courteous about your command with me and/or the passenger who had to sit in the rear (pun intended). Comfort - No seat back storage, and the flight was as cold as is bearable for the average person. Food & Entertainment - None available. Upon asking for water, we were instead offered ice.

Cons: I felt a ripp off affter when I found oute that I hadto pay 165.00 for bagage in order tu fly my furst reaction is what gotme here my guife bought the tikets I will never use this company again and I have share the story to all may friends relatives family members after surbey the c e o owners protocols make mi feel that I must stay away from this institution this is very harmful to any human I just want to be treated the way you treat your loved ones becouse we R humans, and humans never get close to people that confuses lies and hurts them .

Pros: Boarding was efficient
Cons: The planes were alarmingly old. They were not comfortable and while I'm sure they do safety checks, there was so much flexing, rattling, and groaning that it did not feel safe. On our way out of the country - they did not have pens to fill out the customs forms, and told us that if we made a mistake we were out of luck because they didn't have extras. It should be more clear (before purchase) that the price for any bag (even a carry on) is so high - it raises the price of the ticket $100 which is significant On arrival in US they NEVER told us what carousel our bags were on, it was not posted, even on the carousel... it took us forever to find them

Pros: The only thing I liked was getting off that plane.
Cons: Flight was delayed for THREE hours. They sat me in the very back row by the wall, where there's no window. I was literally sitting in the corner. The flight attendant was a funny gay guy who spent more time flirting with a passenger on the plane than anything else. He made it apparent he didn't wanna be bothered by anyone else. The flight was extremely turbulent the entire way. Which made it hard to even nap after boarding 3 hours late. I couldn't look out a window...I couldn't nap...I couldn't read because of the turbulence...literally the only thing I could do was stare at the seat in front of me for 2+ hours. They didn't even offer complimentary snacks or beverages, we had to pay to eat or drink. SHITTY AND UNCOMFORTABLE! But at least nobody dragged me off the plane, so that's a plus.

Pros: Safety
Cons: Late Very uncomfortable

Pros: Cheap ticket purchase price
Cons: I was charged for carrying on my roll on bag because of its shape. While my brother on the same flight carried on an even larger backpack. But, it was considered a personal item. Also because we did not wish to pay even more to pick our seats, we were assigned the last row on the plane where the fuselage begins to taper towards the tail of a plane. Therefore it there was not nearly enough shoulder room for my brother and me. Overall the discomfort, lackadaisical staff, and shrewd penny-pinching policies insured that I will never fly Spirit Airlines again.

Pros: Started off OK but then we quickly downhill flight was canceled due to fog in San Diego so I never made it onto the plane.
Cons: Weather delay with fog in San Diego. Not Spirit's fault but they delayed for an hour and a half and then cancel the flight. As they canceled the flight they came around with cards with a number to call to rebook or change your itinerary. I called the number on the car rather than getting right in line at the desk. By the time I got through on the phone it would have been 10 to 15 minutes. They told me that since I was halfway through my return trip they couldn't do anything over the phone. So then I had to get in line and wait. I was the last person served. They offered me a flight to days later at the same time 9:45 PM that was unacceptable so I ask for something else and he somehow turned out they had a Houston Chicago San Diego flight that leaves tomorrow morning at seven. Very disappointed in the handling by the rebooking staff on the phone the gate agents were very friendly but very overworked and stressed. Service manager was there and he put me on a call back on the phone but that didn't help either. Not flying spirit again anytime soon.

Pros: Direct flight
Cons: The 40 pound weight limit on checked baggage is both surprising and infuriating. Then the 30 dollar additional fee is completely asinine if you are between 40 and 50 pounds on that checked bag. Also your fee for a carry-on bag is completely ridiculous. I ended up transferring weight from my checked bag to my backpack to avoid the 30 dollar additional fee. The result was that the airplane weighed the exact same as before I transferred weight, and Spirit airlines angered their customer. I was courteous to all the staff but I would rather pay more for a flight, have better customer service, better baggage policies, and avoid all the nickle and dime charges that Spirit employs. I think I just took my first and last flight on Spirit. Good luck to you!

Cons: After years of hearing negative things about Spirit, I never could relate because my experiences had always been great. However, this last experience was the worst. I was on a 7 day cruise through Carnival that got delayed an entire day with docking to return home, due to heavy fog, and Spirit was not understanding nor did they accommodate me, and made me purchase a one-way flight back home after I had already purchased a round trip flight. The one-way flight was more than my round trip. This was a huge inconvenience. Other airlines honored the boats delay and let their customers fly back home with no extra charge.

Pros: One customer service woman at the airport.
Cons: Literally everything else. I could not have had a worse experience. Spirit's online system changed unexplainedly changed our address without our knowledge, therefore preventing me from checking my fiance in online. I spent too much time attempting to talk to them about it over the phone, and ended up being late to leave for the airport. On the drive there, I was able to get ahold of a customer service representative on the phone who purchased my fiance's luggage, seat, and checked her in over the phone. We arrived 43 minutes before the flight, and were turned away while attempting to check in her bag, being told that she was not checked in for the flight, and it was now past the mandatory 45 minutes before flight time and would not allow her aboard. I spent the next 2 hours arguing with customer service, where they accused me of lying and said that they don't even offer to check in people over the phone. I could go on, but it was absolutely awful, and we weren't able to be placed on a flight until the next morning.

Pros: It made it on time to get airline counter when I went to get my boarding they told me I had a balance of $20 when I did pay for everything they ask to on the website. The reason for my flight it was to see my money cause she has cancer and I was very happy that I was gonna go to see her but nobody help me out . My family was waiting for me to come home to make our mom happy that me and my brother were gonna be there for her . It's a shame that you had people onto the ticket counter that are very unprofessional with the customer service. I regret that I bought a plane ticket with spirit airlines. If someone come ask ask for spirit airlines I will not recommended because the very poor customer service. I have work in hotel and other places that customer service it's the #1 and we did everything we can to make every customer happy you guys are far away from it. Ms. Yoel Camacho Rivera

Pros: It got me from Houston to Las Vegas without killing me . . . that's about it.
Cons: From the booking process 5 months ago trying to fix an incorrect date I put in (had to cancel and rebook) English was not understandable. To their online problems. Couldn't get online to save paying an outrageous fee for luggage and online booking. Met with the standard go online and complain ? Rude unresponsive employees that garble off phrases so often and so fast as to be incomprehensible. Misinformation by the flight crew as to where the luggage would be. Smallest cramped seats I've ever been in. NEVER AGAIN. (this is not like me, I'm usually very easy going)

Pros: Crew was nice, friendly, and funny. 3 stars is because there is no actual service unless you flag them down to pay for things.
Cons: WARNING: MUST PAY FOR CARRY ON BEFORE GATE. Spirit wants $45 for a carry on bag, and apparently $100 if you don't realize it before you get to the gate. I don't even know how much for checking one. So unless all you have is a handbag, add $90 per bag to the cheap looking price. Seat reservations are janky and can also cost you money. There's no app to check in, reserve seats, or view your flight, and their website has a terrible mobile user interface. The crew doesn't even ask if you want something, they just walk up and down with trash bags. That said, they were polite, professional and friendly. I guess you flag them down if you want to spend a bunch of money on Chex Mix and a soda or expensive beer. You have to pay to even get water or peanuts. There is no entertainment. The seats do not recline. If you have never flown Spirit, you're probably thinking "all that is too ridiculous to be true," which is what I thought when my Uber driver started warning me. Nothing above is exaggerated, just the facts. Never again.

Cons: The flight was overbooked and I was the extra passenger. The last passenger before me was from Africa and was unable to pay the $100 for the second bag she had at the gate. Your staff did not allow her in board, hence I made it. Your staff showed absolutely no empathy with the passenger, parroting that she had to pay otherwise she couldn't get on and at the stroke of 7:45am, they printed my ticket. The supervisor was just plane ride to her and me for interceding on her part. It was appalling to see such un-American hospitality! Spirit Airlines should be ashamed of such employee behavior.

Pros: The crew was friendly.
Cons: Both of our flights were delayed for two hours with no explanation. Other airlines didn't seem to be having the same problems. It is rediculous that they charge for bags and that they are the only airline with a 40 pound weight limit when all of the others are 50 pounds. They charge $10 just to print the boarding passes at the airport. All of this they claim saves you money on the fare, but with all of the nickel and diming that they do to you after you purchase the ticket, it is much more affordable to go with another airline. I will choose some one else to fly with next time.

Pros: That we actually made it there...
Cons: Where to start... I understand the concept of a base fee and you pay a la carte for everything else but this only really works for a single person traveling with a small personal item ONLY. You are literally charged for EVERYTHING. Which is mostly stated on their website with the exception of the checked bag and carry on fees of $50 and $55, respectively. Those fees can vary depending on who you ask....And even though they say you can save by using the kiosk ($20 to go to the counter), we ended up going to the counter anyway because the kiosk could not complete our transaction!!! On our return, we had to go through customs which requires you to get your checked bag (decided to save the $5 and check it on the way home), go through customs and then drop off your checked bag to continue your flight. Well, the Spirit representative decided it would be a great time to take a break and be completely MIA from their post. We had to go completely out of the terminal and back to a counter to recheck our bag. Resulting in a very close call on not making our connecting flight. The long and short of it all: We "Saved" $100.00 total on the initial ticket purchase. We paid over $220.00 ADDITIONAL to have our one carry on and sit next to each other ($20.00 each seat, each leg of trip). Never flying Spirit again and have been telling everyone not to. Bad Spirit!

Cons: Nothing is complimentary, all snacks and drinks for purchase are inexcusably expensive when other companies provide for free, hefty fee for checked bags and carry-on 40-50$ paid to and from which makes up the difference for their cheap flights (not much cheaper than JetBlue or American) my luggage was left in the city I was visiting and when I asked for a refund for my returning checked bag fee, I was denied because I paid cash at check-in and it wasn't on my reservation (obviously I had paid to have it flown because it was supposed to go on board). All in all terrible experience and not worth the 25$ travel voucher I received--which doesn't even cover cost of luggage 1-way--because I'll honestly never fly spirit again.

Pros: I liked the minimalist design of the seats, crew were nice
Cons: I hated that we were charged 50$ for a carry on! And then we have to pay for our seats and drinks and everything. I know this is supposed to be low cost but I could have gotten a first class ticket at another airline and much better food and service than this. At the boarding terminal, the lady told me, after I waited in line all afternoon, that I had to go back and get my printed boarding pass from the kiosk. What airline can't print the pass at the desk! When I told her I needed to check my carry on when I purchased a carry on price, she got lazy and wouldn't check it so she printed out my boarding the pass there. Lies! I will never fly this airline again unless they paid me to!

Pros: one time departure and arrive
Cons: I chose Spirit because of its cheap flight price so I didn't expect a high quality of service. For example, I didn't expect a very comfortable seats or meals in the flight. But, there are some instances which are not dependent to the price/money like politeness of the flight attendant/employees or responsiveness of the boarding member. On the flight day, me and the other fellow traveler were waiting for the boarding but the gate was closed and no body was standing at the front of the boarding desk. Also, there was no LCD screen to show that this gate is assigned for the Houston or any other places. The time was passed from the original boarding time and we were still waiting for the boarding member. Accidentally, I saw a airport employee and ask him that this is the gate assigned to the IAH Houston? And he responded: "Oh no, the gate is changed!" Thus, I ran from the former gate to the new assigned gate. But I saw that the people are still waiting for the boarding member at the front desk. There was a 25min delay and all the people were standing and waiting for that lady to come. At the end, since she was alone and she couldn't handle all the people, she didn't check the boarding zone. It is important to be mentioned that I received the changing of the gate E-mail very late just I was entering the airplane! In the airplane, the flight attendant were not friendly. They didn't help the old people to entering the airplane or putting their luggage at the top cases. During the flight, they were just sitting and playing with their mobiles! Apart from this issues, the worst scenario happened in the baggage claim. When all the people were waiting about 30mins for delivery of the baggage. At the end, it was so disappointing to see one my baggage is broken and its handle bar was detached that I couldn't move it easily to the outside of the airport. I reported the issue to the Spirit baggage claim and that employee was not friendly either and she didn't even apologize! Therefore, I am currently totally disappointed about the Spirit because as I mentioned there are some instances which are not dependent to the price/money. Even cheap airlines should provide highly respected treatment to their customers.

Pros: When a plane arrives late the turn around time is amazing. Doesn't take them much time at all to get going again. Attendants and pilots were professional.
Cons: Boarding is a mess. You may board by zones but it really doesn't seem to workout. About half the people respect the order about half do not. People cut in line when they haven't even been there waiting. Do something like Southwest and have us board by groupings. They are much smaller units and people get in their correct order. You guys can get portable ones. That would move you all up significantly in the boarding process. That is by far the worst of all categories. The ladies at the gate really can't police that, make it easy for those who are boarding by having a clear and organized process.

Pros: The second flight wasn't too bad, despite the additional 2 hour delay..
Cons: This was my first time flying Spirit airlines, despite the many negative reviews I read beforehand..I was skeptical because everyone made it seem bad and I just wanted a cheap flight, so I still went ahead and bought tickets for my whole family. Lawd, bless my soul. They charge you for EVERYTHING! The amount you spend on checked bags, snacks and boarding pass (if you didn't take care of it yourself) adds up to just about the same amount of another (better) airline. So don't let those prices fool you! Moreover, my flight was meant to leave at 2:30. We got on the plane and sat on the plane for 2 hours due to some "weather" delay!! Then after that, they told us they were going to dock us back at the airport while they figured out the situation. Returning to the airport, we were then escorted all the way back to checkin at the Spirit booth, and waited 3 hours in the ridiculously long line of people getting their problems fixed. Called Spirit and went on the website to them saying the system was updating so they couldn't help me..they gave me 2 options, refund or book another flight which wasn't for another 2 days!! I was supposed to go to LA and was expected to land at 4, thus why I prepaid for my hotel and car rental, only end up wasting a whole day of unused rentals! I then came up with the idea to maybe fly into San Diego. They told me the flight would be at 9:30 with a maybe 45 min delay. I took their offer and waited another 2 hours for that flight..once again, DELAY for another 2 hours! I literally spent the whole day at the airport due to Spirit's horrible service and organization. I will never use this airline again! Do yourself a very big favor, save money and TIME by booking with southwest or anything else but this airline! Listen to the past reviews because they are oh so true. Never again!!

Cons: They cancelled my flight due to "weather" while every other airline was flying in and out of IAH. They offered to get me to my destination on the day I was to return or my $200 back. I booked early so I could get a better deal. At the time of my refund tickets were $1000 each. Ruined my bachelor party weekend and the trips of the other 6 people that were traveling for the occasion. Will never fly or recommend Spirit airline again! Worst experience I have ever had and would gladly pay regular fares from a reputable airline in the future. It is just not worth it.

Pros: I like getting out of the airport and vowing to never fly Spirit again.
Cons: Spirit's computer system had an "error" which marked me as a security risk. I had to go through intensive security screening TWICE. I was given a hand written ticket that was not honored at the gate stating their computer error has blocked me from flying. With this status I was unable to take my flight or rebook one. Luckily I got a full refund. Definately not worth the hassle and airport drama I will NEVER fly this airline again. I feel sorry for their employees who have to deal with such a shitty system.

Cons: My flight was delayed due to weather. They didn't notify anyone there was any sort of delay until after the flight was supposed to depart. Then they announced the flight Cancelled shortly after. There was no staff at any of the desks to help people rebook flights so we were all just standing there wondering what to do. Finally one lady came and had to help two flights worth of people rebook. Was in line for almost an hour. When I returned the next day they made me repay for all my overweight checked bags.

Pros: There was (I believe a Russian Flight Attendant) on the way to San Diego and back, and she was full of spunk, personality, friendly and fun!!! She made the difficult time fun.
Cons: My flight was 2 hours delayed, so I arrived to San Diego at midnight! There was an elderly woman with her grandchild behind me that kept allowing the infant to slam the little metal table into the back of my chair and no flight attendant noticed, though she did it repeatedly and for a LONG TIME! People with children on board should be watched some because they often allow child to play with parts of the plane that are not toys and make other passengers uncomfortable. While I appreciate the prices of the food sold, there could be maybe better selections for a slightly higher price, butt I was relieved you had Ramen. That helped hold me over!!

Cons: Spirit canceled our IAH to LAS flight last night. We found out just a couple of hours before departure and sprit did nothing to accommodate us with alternatives although there were several flights flying this route. No explanation was given for the cancellation apart from 'weather' which for all practical purposes could have been the weather on the planet Mars. other airlines were flying flights on this route just fine. Feel so cheated that an airline can throw your flight away at the last minute, for no apparent reason beyond their own convenience and greedy network planning, not rebook you into reasonable alternatives, and get away with it. It's not about the flight money. There were 8 of us meeting in LAS from different cities, those friends had to cacel their perfectly good tickets. And then the cost of hotels, show fickets, reservations made, not to mention the effort and anguish to recover from loosing all this at the last minute. Folks, ITS NOT WORTH IT!! It's not even that cheap once you add expensive bag and seat fees. STAY AWAY FROM SPIRIT. I guaruntee you, you will get burned. Remember what they say about when it looks too good to be true, it likely is. Spirit is a lie as a concept. They are only out to get your money and will never have your back. One more anecdote: the customer service rep tried to sell us a credit card after our 1 hour long call to try and process ticket cancelations. A CREDIT CARD WITH SPIRT AFTER THEY RUINED OUR TRIP! That's how insensitive and out for your money they are. Also, we tried to cancel online with the link they provided on their CRAPPY website and they would only allow travel vouchers as refund. Why would I want worthless spirt vouchers after a flight cancellation when I never want to fly you again?

Cons: It's sad you only want my review from my return flight. If I had a choice not to fly back on Spirit I wouldn't have. The first flight seats were horrible. The passenger in front of me reclined and the seats rested on my knees and hurt the entire flight. Paying for carry on was absolutely ridiculous. Having to pay for a glass or cup of water, not bottle, was beyond horrific. Flight attendants were not friendly. This experience is so far the worst flight experience I've ever had. It was my first on Spirit and I pray I don't have to give you my money ever again.

Pros: The initial fare was great and enticing.
Cons: I didn't like the fact that bag fees are twice as much as other airlines, carry ons are $100 per, what is normally free on other airliines (like coffee, soda or water) you charge for, and the weight limit for a checked bag is 40 pounds not 50 and then there is an additional $25 dollar charge. So, I paid $75 dollars total for checking my 1 bag, which was under 50 pounds and I was traveling for two weeks, so I expected to pay a fee of $25 to check the bag. Luckily my 1 carry on was small enough to be considered a personal bag, or that would have been another $100. I chose not to drink anything because asking to pay for water is somewhat ridiculous and I found the flight attendants "humor" to not be funny at all. I guess if as an airline you want to be made a joke of than that is fine, but if you are tying to be a low price contender and offer the same service and amenities than you have missed the mark in my opinion.
