Pros: "I liked that we were given cookies with our drinks that was a nice touch. I also enjoyed that it was a very quick flight from Dallas to Cincinnati. Shout out to the crew members, they work really hard to help us feel comfortable."
Cons: "The sound of the turbo engine in the beginning made my head feel really dizzy, but the buzzing went away after a while. Other than that, I think that the tiny planes should still have some sort of entertainment, even if it's just a single movie playing for all to watch."

So I quickly say we do not need 3 people to tell us 1 thing and especially yelling at us like we were kids or criminals because it felt like we must have broke the law the way they treated us! Also, there was a delay of a couple of hours leaving Dallas due to a problem with the plane's radio, and the American employees handled it very well, keeping the passengers informed and smoothly transferring everyone to a substitute plane."

Checked bags appear on website with carry-on bag selector beneath the checked bag graphic. That caused us to pay for the wrong one accidentally, with no way to cancel after paying."

Like: Welcome passengers. estimated time in flight, crusing altitude, estimated arrival time, weather at destination, starting decent, etc. Of course, as an ex-military and corporate aviation pilot, the more I know the more comfortable and connected I feel."

You do have to watch out for all the added fees: checked bags, carryon bags, seats (you actually have to pay separately for your seat), food, drinks, etc.. When comparing costs - you need to add everything up. In our case, Frontier was still around $150 less than Delta. But don't be fooled by the low fare when you still have to buy a seat and pay for baggage."

Cons: "Pretty much everything else. I checked in online - where they clearly state that there will be a bag drop for prepaid checked luggage. There was not. Instead there were three people behind the counter (only two were actually taking anyone from the long line) - who seemed completely confused. They at least knew that the gate had changed, but they didn't know where it had been changed to. I found it. It then proceeded to change 3 more times. The final change was not announced, we all just followed another passenger who had seen the change listed on the airport departure screen. The final gate was "39" a door in a hallway that opened up onto a tarmac. We waited there about 30 minutes (after the scheduled boarding time) before the door opened. They had no scanner for passes, so the attendant had to write things down on paper when we showed him our passes!! The actual cabin is tight, but that's to be expected. What wasn't expected was the random turning off and on of overhead lights throughout the (red-eye) flight. It was like a torture technique. To round out this great experience, the flight attendant instructed us to de-board the plane in order. Row 1 (left side) then row 1 (right), etc. This clearly pissed off many passengers who had no carry-on luggage and could have just walked off while those with stuff in overheads waited. When I finally got to exit the plane, I heard a guy somewhere behind me say "f-you" to the crew as they gave us the traditional "have a good day". We all felt the same, just didn't say so."

Cons: "The line at the airport to drop off my luggage (which was prepaid) was crazy long as most people had not prepaid and some were trying to pay with cash (which Frontier does not accept). Even tho I had my boarding pass printed and luggage paid for I waited almost an hour in this line - and I arrived 2 hours 1/2 early. After arriving in Cincinnati the luggage took at least 40 minutes to arrive at the pick up point. On my outward bound trip to Orlando the luggage took over an hour to arrive at the luggage carousel. It seems that Frontier does not have a good rapport with the baggage handlers at the airports."

Cons: "You have to pay for your seat, anywhere from $6-36, no complimentary drinks or snacks on a 2.5 hour flight, very little legroom on a fairly large plane, a 9:15am flight took off at 10:30am... all in all a bad experience. The crew was friendly and boarding was easy, but a $35 checked bag, and a $35 carry on bag fee made this flight cost significantly more tha from competative airlines. Very disappointed and I don't think I'll be flying Frontier again."

Cons: "Flight was delayed for 4.5 hours for maintenance issues, we had to cancel all of the plans I made for the day. I was at the airport for nearly 7 hours and then had to wait on the replacement plane to refuel for over an hour after boarding. Awful."

Cons: "Not having flown for 6 months, we were not prepared for the nickel-and-diming that Frontier has become. The astronomical baggage fees were a complete surprise- they were nearly as much as our tickets. And why charge us for the same bags there and back? They charged for picking your seat, they charged for a soft drink,though we think they likely waived the fee for breathing their stale air. The staff, historically great, were short and clearly frustrated with what their roles had become, with looks that shared our incredulous stares of bewilderment. We used Twitter to voice our frustration and though they replied quickly, they said we could negate a percentage of the fees if we joined a new but obscure program... which of course charged us more fees. So sad to see our favorite airline reduced to this impractical, impersonal money-grubbing caricature of corporate greed."

Cons: "Where to begin? First of all I have extreme flight anxiety. So from the get go I'm on edge about getting on a flight. When we arrived at the airport to check our bag, which I had ALREADY paid for online when I booked my flight, the attendant told me it would be $40 for my bag. Why in the world would I pay $40 more for s bag I've already paid for? I explained to her many times it had already been paid for. Unfortunately she wasn't cooperative and I wanted to actually make my flight so I just paid the $40. So, for my departing trip I spent $70 total to check a bag which is what I am most unhappy about. The flight itself wasn't exactly enjoyable. No free water.. No peanuts or anything.. The staff was subpar. They looked like they hated their jobs. Neither of the attendants on the plane ever had a smile on their face. There was a 3rd but I probably saw him once. Idk where he was the whole time. The seats were extremely uncomfortable and I felt crowded. I know planes aren't suppose to be exactly comfortable, but let me just say that the only other airline I have flown with before was spirit and I would rather fly with them again than frontier. I was expecting a much better experience since spirit is supposed to be the bottom of the totem pole but this wasn't the case. I'm not looking forward to my flight home."

Pros: "Outstanding customer service by Susie (from Barbados) in DFW. They went out of their way to accommodate us. She even sung happy bday for mom's birthday. I have a special needs brother and they let him board early to give him extra time. Above and beyond, we absolutely love this airline. They are the megabus of the sky. Sign up for their frequent flyer program. Tickets are insanely cheap and economical, you can fly for $15 if you do it right by joining the yearly program ($50 annual) and responding to the emails. We booked 5 adults CVG to DFW 6 days out for $123 a piece when Delta and other competitors wanted $500 to $600 dollars. Pilots have a great sense of humor, flight attendants were super attentive and helpful. Be careful on the bag restrictions, my advice is travel light with carryon. The rest is pay for play but you can jet-set for stupid cheap and still receive superb service. I can't say enough great things about this airline. We are booking at least 7 to 8 more flights with them for the next few months for the price of 2 tickets with any other airline. Rivals Jet Blue or Southwest level of experience for fun but absolutely crushes all other airlines in value. Best flight experience ever!!!!!!"

Cons: "I booked my itinerary 6 months in advance in order to lock down the exact times I wanted to travel (along with getting a good $$-rate). Months later, Spirit Airlines decided to change my itinerary, which got me home 12hours later than I additionally booked it to be. I also did not appreciate the 4hr layover flight-change that was made for me. And don't even get me started on the rest of the reasons why Spirit Airlines sucks!"

Pros: "I did not know what to expect flying first time on Spirit but was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency and kindness of the employees."
Cons: "I was not pleased to find that the weight for a bag was 40 lbs and was charged $25 on top of the $40 bag fee for an overweight bag. This must have been in the fine print for I did not see it and packed my bag to be less than 50 lbs. The seats have no leg room and I found them to be restrictive for my 5'2" frame. They do not recline due to the space "saving" efforts of the airline. If you are looking for "cheap" remember to add on all the fees charged for bags, select seats, beverages before comparing to other airlines."

Cons: "My flight was delayed due to weather. They didn't notify anyone there was any sort of delay until after the flight was supposed to depart. Then they announced the flight Cancelled shortly after. There was no staff at any of the desks to help people rebook flights so we were all just standing there wondering what to do. Finally one lady came and had to help two flights worth of people rebook. Was in line for almost an hour. When I returned the next day they made me repay for all my overweight checked bags."

There is no refreshments included in the flight and you have to pay for water and soft drinks. For a 2-3 hour flight, you have to pay for water... The customer service department for Spirit is absolutely horrible and very unaccomodating and completely rude."

Cons: "Second experience with Spirit my flight was cancelled 24 hrs and they wouldn't waive carry on baggage fee. First time I flew Spirit, they lost my bag for 5 days! Their website and kiosks never work, which leads me to believe they want you to pay for everything "extra" at the highest cost when trying to make your flight. Seats do not recline which is super uncomfortable. Overall, Spirit is not worth the headache even for the initial cheap flight purchase."

There is no complementary food, you have to purchase everything. Also, seats don't recline which is horrible because then sleeping is impossible."

Cons: "Spirit canceled our IAH to LAS flight last night. We found out just a couple of hours before departure and sprit did nothing to accommodate us with alternatives although there were several flights flying this route. No explanation was given for the cancellation apart from 'weather' which for all practical purposes could have been the weather on the planet Mars. other airlines were flying flights on this route just fine. Feel so cheated that an airline can throw your flight away at the last minute, for no apparent reason beyond their own convenience and greedy network planning, not rebook you into reasonable alternatives, and get away with it. It's not about the flight money. There were 8 of us meeting in LAS from different cities, those friends had to cacel their perfectly good tickets. And then the cost of hotels, show fickets, reservations made, not to mention the effort and anguish to recover from loosing all this at the last minute. Folks, ITS NOT WORTH IT!! It's not even that cheap once you add expensive bag and seat fees. STAY AWAY FROM SPIRIT. I guaruntee you, you will get burned. Remember what they say about when it looks too good to be true, it likely is. Spirit is a lie as a concept. They are only out to get your money and will never have your back. One more anecdote: the customer service rep tried to sell us a credit card after our 1 hour long call to try and process ticket cancelations. A CREDIT CARD WITH SPIRT AFTER THEY RUINED OUR TRIP! That's how insensitive and out for your money they are. Also, we tried to cancel online with the link they provided on their CRAPPY website and they would only allow travel vouchers as refund. Why would I want worthless spirt vouchers after a flight cancellation when I never want to fly you again?"

Cons: "After purchasing our tickets, we thought we were finished with flight fees. We were charged for our seats there and back, we were charged for our luggage, there and back. What if you don't pay for your seats after purchasing plane tickets? Do you have to stand? If you want a flight paid for in one fee, do not fly with Spirit. We will choose a flight with one payment that takes care of luggage, flight and seats all in one. My luggage coming back was 7 lbs over so they charged me $25.00 extra coming back. Hidden fees with this airline. The seats were the worst part of the plane, very uncomfortable. Flight was smooth."

Cons: "Our flight was cancelled at midnight the day of our flight, which by the way was at 7 that morning. We were given no explanation as to why."

Cons: "Flight was delayed 4 HOURS due to software issues. Hidden costs and lack of information were issues - they do not make clear when you book that the cost for luggage increases the closer you get to the flight, also do not make clear that their is a charge for choosing a seat but not if you select random seating. Overall I could have flown a quality airline for the same price."

Cons: "Late. Flight was more than 1 hour late. Crew said it was b/c flight from LA to Cleveland was delayed due to mechanical issues and that put flight from Cleveland to Ft. Myers behind. This made our return flight to Cleveland late. Interestingly this was the same issue with our flight from Cleveland to Ft. Myers. Issue with plane in LA. We didn't get notification that flight was late until we reached the gate."

Cons: "Hidden prices for luggage. Found out later and not told upfront. Unprofessional appearance for workers; baggage crew, gate attendants. Boarding pass in paper form needed or pay more. Seats do not recline. I requested to move once in air available seating, but denied. Weight distribution excuse. Required information to log in to website was daunting to get boarding pass. Never going to fly again or recommend."

Pros: "Nothing, this is the first and last time I will ever ride this airline."
Cons: "Very disappointed in their service from the ticket counter to not offering water on flight. It was the worst service I have ever experienced. On my way to atlanta they charged me $50 for my one luggage and returning to new orleans they charged $65. I paid $40 on line and they charged $25 at the counter. The ticketing agents are very unprofessional."
