Pros: "During my experience on 19 November I encountered only wonderful crew members, from the gate attendants to the on-flight crew. Everyone was extremely helpful and kind."
Cons: "Earlier in the day when I was checking in, there was a prompt to be added to the list of volunteers to take a different flight should one of my later flights (it did not specify, I flew from DAY to ATL, and then ATL to ORF) was overbooked. My schedule was accommodating enough that I selected yes. In ATL I was called up as a potential volunteer as they needed 3 volunteers to take a later flight that day. I was told that I was not initially assigned a seat since I had earlier agreed to be a potential volunteer. I was okay with all of this. We were told that the decision would be made at the end of boarding, and we would know if our seats were needed. At the end of boarding they called for the 3 volunteers to board. I was the last one to board and was given my seat assignment. Once I got on the plane I saw that someone had already been assigned my seat and let a flight attendant know what had happened. I stood on the plane for about 10 minutes while the flight attendants and other crew members tried to figure out what had happened. My name was not listed under any cabin (main, comfort, etc) even though I had a ticket and a seat assignment. Eventually they had to open the doors again for me to get off the plan as there were no available seats. Once I got back to the gate podium I was booked on a later flight, as would have been the case had the normal course of action for volunteering to give up my seat taken place. Everyone was extremely helpful in trying to figure out what had happened, but it was still frustrating that it had to happen in that way. Luckily I don't believe the delay caused any major delay for the flight. In the end, things worked out fine, it just seems as though this is an issue that didn't need to happen."

The pilot even said good bye in person to the customers leaving the plane, I really appreciated it :) The whether conditions in Seattle were very bad (windy, bumpy, rain, and night) and the pilot landed the plane as a pro! Cons: "Check in took forever. Delta reservations made some type of mistake when they cancelled our flight to CUN and I needed to rebook the flight. It took the CUN counter agent about 30 minutes to correct their mistake. Then, as we boarded our flight, the bar code reader at the gate indicated another error that the gate agent took about 10 minutes to correct. CUN Delta staff was great and we appreciated the efforts they made to direct us around the airport."

So the airline staff spent an hour searching for the bags and delaying the flight as everyone sat on board the plane. If you have the opportunity to fly another airline, I would recommend it."

It seemed clear that we would not make our connecting flights, which messes everything up with covid tests, quarantine, and all the many restrictions that airlines have insisted without thinking about the consequences. I tried to share my concern with the agent at American Airlines, knowing that it would probably be better to rebook and start all over for the following week or something. But his limited perspective, condescending attitude, and egotistical control behavior would not listen to me and was only concerned with getting me to the first stop 1.5 hours away. 7hrs later, stuck on that same plane which rerouted and refueled, I am now stuck in a city for 2 days since I had to rebook and start all over for missing my international connecting flight. Still have 20+ more hours of flying to go and nowhere closer to my destination. Hotel, rental, and new covid tests are all at my expense. Just wish American Airlines staff would listen and help, but if you don't shut up and comply to their every demand, they will ban you and ruin your life forever."

Customers waited over 30 minutes for bags to arrive, which arrived at a different belt than what had been originally scheduled. There were no AA staff in sight when we arrived in NY either. I will do my best not to fly AA again."

Cons: "The flight attendants just weren’t friendly and rather moody Many just felt they didn’t want to be here on the flight. No smiles, subpar service. Never saw attendances walking through except when serving us our meals or drinks"

Pros: "Like the new plane, clean seats, good leg room in premium economy. But attendants are beyond rude. No idea why but they even make you feel bad for asking for water."

Cons: "The flight was late due to maintenance and caused us to miss our connecting flight to Chicago. American Airlines customer assistance at the airport was absolutely terrible. They were rude and inconsiderate as they kept suggesting to fly standby. We shouldn't have to fly standby when it wasn't our fault why were late. They told us our bags would be ok going to Chicago and they we would make the flight, but we did not. I do not know why didn't wait for us considering there were 8 others that also missed the connecting flight. We had to fly to Denver and stay overnight with no luggage and catch a 7:00am flight to Chicago. The last surprise I received was my damaged bag when I got back to Chicago. Thank you for making this trip memorable in a terrible way. I will never book or recommend Kayak or use American Airlines again."

Cons: "If there was ever a staff that was more eager to shirk responsibility I have never encountered it. At this point you might as well crash the plane and blame a duck. I am personally offended at the shear incompetence of the people employed by your "company.""

Pros: "Although the crew encountered a maintenance issue with the aircraft, another aircraft was provided and we were able to take off within an hour. So glad it wasn't cancelled!"
Cons: "Could not bring a guest into the Admirals Club during the flight delay, although I was allowed to do so on the same outbound leg. There seems to be inconsistency in the way the guest policy is applied (e.g., flying first class international)."

Pros: "Plenty empty seats, so I had enough room. Arrival earlier than scheduled, crew provided good service"
Cons: "Food (I had pasta)was lousy, the little TV screen was EXTREMELY unresponsive, Most of the time it would not work - unable to make selections. Seat 19C"

Cons: "there was no entertainment for a very long flight. also, it was night time, and the fasten seatbelt signs are so big and bright that it is impossible to go to sleep! Our plan was delayed for 2 hours, meaning we did not get in until 230am. it was exhausting!"

Cons: "American airline cares about on time push back and the JD Powers rating more then its passengers. So when you miss an American conection by under one minute they are keeping you on the ground while there on time performance "sores" . Then you enter the American over night accommodation Line and I don't have tell you how unpleasant that is but a 2 hour wait for a free shuttle to the hotel is one of them."

Cons: "Again flights attendants were a bit dry."

Cons: "The flight left late and they did not explain why their was a delay. The landing was not smooth. It was a rough landing."

Cons: "They charge for everything luggage they can see in the front desk. My 63 years old mother had her small size hand carrier, a travel tote on top (with her travel blanket and her medicine) and a crossbody passport size. They told her to put it in her tote!!! Only 2 items allows. ... In the plane she saw passengers carried way more than what that."

Cons: "3 hour delay due to maintenance issues on two planes."

Cons: "I was so sick of waiting for the delay and remembering my horrible previous flight that I opted to meet my friend who lives in North Carolina and will be driving home to Richmond instead."
